Y'know with all the new Isekai concepts coming out, I wonder if there is an isekai concept for "Reincarnated as a Truck that sends people to other worlds"

Well I have started a Entire spreadsheet from Scratch, its not finished but hell is it gonna help with pokemon locations and random encounters

filling it all in is gonna take time though... XD

If someone is looking for a Pokemon that happens to be in that rarity range, just write up an encounter with that one in particular and skip rolling for which Pokemon in that rarity.

If it's completely random... Well.

You know what, I'll send you a PM on something that might help.

thank you.
Roll a dice and assign rarities to the results? Like if you get from this number to this number it's a <rarity status here>, and once rarity is decided, roll again for what Pokemon in that rarity range will appear.

yea its easy to roll for a rarity range

its just rolling for the pokemon q.q honestly have no clue how to do it,
alrighty Ill go finish the rarity list...

its gonna be one convulated thing XD

*gonna use a d12

1-3 Super Rare
4-6 Common
7-9 Uncommon
9-12 Rare

Fair enough.

At the start, how many moves should they know? I guess each time they evolve, they'll learn 2-3 or more depending on what their evolutions allow or are. For instance a Pokemon that evolves two times in it's lifetime would learn like, 2 or so each time, but one that evolves once may learn 3-4 to make up for it, while one that doesn't evolve will simply have better aptitude to learn new moves.

But the amount they'll know at the start... Possibly just the first 4-6 of their learnlist I guess?

But does this also mean Pokemon can use more than 4 moves during battle? Or are we still limited to 4?

Well in Tournaments/Gym battles/League matchs and Contests they would be limited to 4,

but out of those, yes they could use more then 4 moves

(also I have no clue how to handle Random Encounters, in a sufficient manner)
Then you want to rename it to Combat Level or something like that, and make a new grading if you're going to use level like that.

The problem is that level already has a use in-game, but you must also realize that there's a reason that only videogame titles of Pokemon have ever used levels, with some exceptions like the Pokemon card game videogames.

I also think the levels should be dropped entirely to give players a more open world feel. If levels were dropped entirely, we'd be free to go anywhere in the region without a level barrier. It'd also be more natural, I don't walk around and assign levels to birds and stray cats I see, I don't see why people in the Pokemon world would either unless they were really serious about training Pokemon or just kind of a dick about it. Remember that Pokemon are pretty much same status as animals in this world, with some big exceptions like being able to catch and pit them against one another.

@1Charak2 @AbysmalDemon

Honestly Sho, you should apply for co - gm

anywho, Dropping the levels makes sense, if concurrently pokemon moves used in a same but different way.

(all pokemon have the capacity to use all their moves from their move pools, but usually its not possible to use the higher tier moves due to the lack of combat training, or the stress on the body (for instance brave bird))

well heres my thesis on how a pokemon would Use a new move,

1. Firstly the pokemon has been in battles enouth that it feels ready to handle a new move
2. The Pokemon is in a dire situation, as such adrenaline may cause it to use a new move
3. The pokemon evolves, and since its body is tougher and stronger, it can use new moves
4. The pokemons will, means its able to use a new move (okay i don't want people abusing this, and i mean alot of willpower)

doing it that way would free up more player creativity

in fact you could also apply 1,2,4 to pokemon evolutions in a sense... but meh

Tms should work as normal, but it just unlocks the capacity for the pokemon to use the move, still has to be trained...

Move tutors working by actually working with the pokemon in question...
@Sho Minazuki

I just think level should be variable and kinda assumed, not a real thing

Its assumed they are a higher level if your pokemon cant beat it easily.

Its assumed they are a lower level is your pokemon can beat it easily.

Its assumed they are equal if the battle seems evenly matched.

I think levels are only necessary for playable RP characters so they can't make up that their Pokemon can beat yours because its "higher level", even then everyone should have around the same assumed level.

I thought we where using levels this way as well, but It was just a thought.

Honestly I have no clue how to do handle these things anymore. *sigh*
I could do it one way and make people happy, but piss of someone else. can't make people happy eh...
just my two cence's

never the less, I am gonna continue and try and iron all this stuff out.

(although Honestly to be fair, I am actually okay If people encounter their own pokemon if it makes sense, Like say they where looking for them, and then they find them 2 post's later that type of stuff makes sense, and yet others do not like that so we have to do a hard and convuluted RNG method (sure it would be easy to use after set up... its just the danm fact of setting up, with all 680 pokemon)
My mind has been mindfudged....

Elvenheisen Wren - Estoria City - Gate to Route 2
@Suku
Elf had heard her response, and he nodded as he heard the words be spoken, so she was gonna learn more about pokemon. Elf smirked. That was a great goal, honestly it seemed more achievable then the borderline Impossible task he had set himself, not just anyone can become the Champion after all. after a few minutes of silent walking they had reached the entrance gate to Route 2, It was a simple building made of concrete, it essentially was just a hallway, Elf stopped and waited for Rin to catch up to him since she seemed to be behind. but the space to think was much appreciated, never the less he didn't want to go to far ahead, "Alright here we are, the Route 2 entrance gate, in all its plain appearance. Where Goals begin, and also where rookie trainers go." Elf said with a wide toothed grin, obviously he was gonna to be riled up to get back on the road again, and get into more scuffles then ever before, but hell, it was gonna be fun. "Now then if you may walk with me Rin, we shall take the first steps on to Route 2 of this journey anyway" Elf said waiting for the blue hatted trainer to do the honor's, while pretending to bow, Roc doing the same.
