Current Need info, so might as well throw a bottled question into the ocean of statuses... What are some features/ideas/etc. that YOU want to see in a monster taming/raising game? All genuine ideas welcome.

@Dane, I need you to talk to a physicist and a psychiatrist, in that order, twice.

"The worst thing you can do to a character is to make them aware that they're fictional." Ironically, the character who would say this is from an RP I'm not in anymore... Funny, that.

Just like in JJK, explaining the joke makes it funnier. Luckily that's built into this one.

Jimbo that's not right. Humans are a social creature, there's not a single one who can truly survive on their own. Even those who seem to be able can only do so because they learned from others.

*Opens the book and models my hands after a basic earth hand sign*

*You feel a slight difference in your chakra flow*

<Snipped quote by The World>

Salvador: ... And how does any of that change with the existence of this thing?
*A large, disturbing creature of pure Black fades into view, resting on my shoulders. Its eyes and saliva comprised of a White substance that seems unnaturally juxtaposed against the black, looking almost like it should be emitting a glow of some kind even if it doesn't. The space around the creature seems to darken.*
It feeds off of stress and negativity, so it often perches on my shoulders. Samantha has taken to calling it absence.

Jack: We're gonna have to isolate you from that no matter what you pick.
<Snipped quote by The World>

Salvador: How does each work?

Jack: Well, you can be given a blank Zanpakuto and slowly build up your spiritual power through extremely grueling training over a long time, or you can start the process to become a hollow and overcome it before you fully change.
<Snipped quote by The World>

Salvador: I'll take the Soul Reaper route.
*His eyes have changed to a mixture of pale colors by now, when they were once a grayish white.*

Jack: Everyone takes the boring route... Anyway, there are two ways to go about this. The slow way or the fast and dangerous way. The fast way also has a chance of giving you partial Hollow powers, making you even stronger. But, there's the risk of turning into a Hollow anyway and then you'll be stuck on that route.
<Snipped quote by The World>

Salvador: *The grin fades.* Describe each and I'll make my choice.
*His voice seems to have changed slightly, though you can't tell how.*

Jack: Well, as a human you'd have to get an injection, then have an object that you care about more than anything. Keep the object near you for a long time and go through some training and you'll become able to use something called "Fullbring", that'll give you some personalized power and some basic ones like High-speed movement and the ability to fly. As a Soul Reaper, you'd get a soul-sword called a Zanpakuto that's a part of your soul and harbors another spirit within it. Then you get strength from there. As a Hollow, you're going to have to suffer a lot, risk losing your mind, then risk losing it again in a competition against other minds, then risk losing it again until you reach a certain level of power at which point we can transform you into another type of Hollow where you'll get a zanpakuto that works differently than a Soul Reaper's does and doesn't have another spirit in it.

Should I focus on studying these or on meditation?

At this point, I'd say learning jutsu and practicing them is the best way to move forward. They're the main point of getting control over chakra after all.
<Snipped quote by The World>

Salvador: *Still grinning, tries to summon my black flames, but fails.*

Jack: Now comes the lecture. There are three ways to give you some real power. The "human" way, the "Soul Reaper" way, and the "Hollow" way. The human way's the easiest but probably the weakest. The soul reaper way is much harder, but potentially the strongest. The hollow way is the fastest but the most likely to result in you turning into a mindless monster for the rest of your life, or having your consciousness overcome by someone else's.

<Snipped quote by The World>

Thank you. What does that entail?

It basically means you'll have an easier time using Earth Release jutsu, and you'll be able to create new ones of that type if you're really skilled and smart, but that's about all.
<Snipped quote by The World>

What a wonderful item.
*Takes it and applies chakra, resulting in it breaking down into soil and falling out of my fingers*

Looks like you've got Earth Release~ Congratulations!

<Snipped quote by The World>

Salvador: *Narrows his eyes with a mad grin.*
I will have this power.

Jack: *Puts on a red glove and pushes against your forehead, pushing through your body to push your spiritual body out of it. You find yourself outside your body as it falls over, connected at the chest by a chain with it* Shouldn't hurt, but that usually scares some people off.
<Snipped quote by The World>

How do I learn my aptitude?

*Holds out a piece of paper* This is a special paper called "Chakra Induction Paper" that reacts based on a person's chakra type. Just put a touch of chakra into it and boom.

<Snipped quote by The World>

*Samantha doesn't respond. Salvador gets up and makes his way over, staring Jack in the eyes.*
Salvador: I'm ready.

Jack: I'm going to have to rip your soul out of your body. Are you prepared for that?
<Snipped quote by The World>

*Smiles*
Thank you. How do I transition from moving these chakras to releasing them?

Hand seals. One second. *Goes back through the door for a moment then comes back and hands you a book* That book has all sorts of jutsu in it, and the seals needed to use them. You can also mold the chakra into your hands or feet or even your brain to achieve enhanced performance.

<Snipped quote by The World>

Suzy: *Long drawn out groan as you leave.*
*Walking out, you see Salvador still training further under the waterfall and Samantha having taken her own spot at the water's edge, meditating on her own.*

Jack: Who wants to be next?
<Snipped quote by The World>

Some, yes. I apologize for the interruption in meditation; my thoughts were momentarily clouded.

No worries~ I'm impressed you could do that so well.

<Snipped quote by The World>

Suzy: *Says nothing, and endures for a few hours before stepping back and falling over, soon laying on the floor.*
Ooooowwwwwwwwwwww...

Jack: That's a good time to stop for now. We've kept your siblings waiting long enough, so take a break and see if you can recreate the feeling outward for a while. *Goes back to the other two* Sorry for the wait.
<Snipped quote by The World>

*I remain in this state for several hours before my heartrate suddenly skyrockets and my eyes shoot open*
...

Any success?
