The Spartan laser took out the Sangheili's shields and blew off the armor on his right arm. The impact from the laser sent Khazo reeling back and once he got back up to his feet he began to sprint away from the blast hole. He wasn't going to wait anymore, he had already lost his captive if he lost the relic then his mission would be a complete failure unless he somehow managed to get back to the data archives. "Khazo 'Tevum to Unfathomable, my hostage has been killed and I am returning to you now. Requesting a fighter escort once I designate the hanger I will be exfiltrating from", Khazo glanced at his arm which had his blood oozing down it. Honor was something he did not care for, his comrades bought him some time and if they could catch up then that was great, if not then it was simply a part of war. 

In the engine room a large blast echoed throughout the reactor chamber. Shayan's men had managed to blow open the exit route and were scrambling out of the room. "Stay here and guard our exit!", Shayan ordered a Mgalekgolo which had recently lost its partner. The rest of Shayan's men followed him through the halls, mowing down the stragglers of the human forces moving between firefights. In short time the group stumbled into a Sangheili with several bullet wounds and a part of his armor gone. "Where is the rest of your team?", Shayan asked his commander as he looked over his injuries. "Dead. Come, quickly. We must find a hanger soon, two demons pursue me"
