Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

A crack in the night;

a bone chilling roar;

a soundless scream.

Since before civilization, mankind has always feared the dark - or rather, that which lies beneath it. Horrors that roam as mere ideas for us when we are in the safety of day, and come to a twisted, wretched life at dusk. Ever and always, man has devised ways to fend off the darkness, methods both real and imagined. This fear led to the explosive expansion of man - this fear developed fire, agriculture, medicine. From this fear, civilization was born. The mad scramble to drive away the darkness had urged mankind ever forward.

And yet, it is also this same fear that kept the darkness alive.

The fear that gave birth to civilization had also borne with it . . .

Theft . . .

Cowardice . . .

Genocide . . .

Evil . . .

And with the birth of evil, the abominations that resided in the void us laughed and swelled in numbers and strength. They fed upon evil, and grew into true, living horrors -- horrors that spilled upon the reality of our world. And with evil as its sword and fear as its shield, horror encroached upon mankind. The corruption eroded at the roots of a budding civilization, threatening to kill humanity before the concept even existed. And Man was nearly driven back into the darkness, were it not for one thing:

Sacrifice

Just as fear had borne evil, evil had birthed sacrifice and courage. With the tools given to them by the enemy itself, mankind pushed back. The idea that death meant nothing, so long as those around them could live and love as they wished, resonated throughout the earth, and the horrors were driven back into the dark, and faded into legend, to disappear from collective human memory.

Still, humanity would not easily forget that which nearly eradicated them. Though society as a whole has forgotten what it meant to fear the darkness, there are those that still carry the burden of those memories, and the responsibility that comes with it; the responsibility to fight with your life on the line, knowing that they are the only one's that can. They stand as stalwart sentinels against the night.

The Kispu Sinnis Wardatu

The Magical Girl.

Didn't expect that last one did you?

So yeah, this is, as you've guessed, a magical girl RP. On the specifics of the magical girl lore here, I'll leave it blank - that, and many others will be covered in the RP proper, as I want this to be a learning experience. As for what I can say about the RP:

  • Gonna be a lot of politicking here
  • Characters are limited to females only as of now, with ages ranging from 12 - 16
  • Expect the lore and magic system to be complex
  • Expect a lot of NPC's from me; it's kinda necessary
  • The story is global by nature, so feel free to make a character who lives or comes from any nation without worry.
  • HAVE FUN, BECAUSE I KNOW I WILL.

As for the rules, it should be obvious: Basic RP rules, no godmodding, yadda yada, ect.

Need at least 4 players to start with.

@ViolentViolet No problem :)

@Eklispe same thing as above (sorry, I know I accepted it last time, but I wanna stick closer to the theme this time around) I can still accept the sack, though why not let it accompany an actual slingshot, like the ones used by the Balearic Slingers of back then? A Sling was one of the most dangerous weapons of back then, and could reach as far as 400+ meters, and elite Slingers could accurately hit targets from that distance.

@banjoanjo Good to go :)

@KindledBeast The use of Demon's Wrath at this stage should be limited to about 2~3 shots only, assuming that if he shoots a third time, he'll hit critical health. Also, he can only use it when he's in "Fiend's Physiology" mode, which can only be sustained for around 15 seconds. That way we can balance out your character with the others while also giving him room to grow, is that fine?

@The ghost in black She should have a limit to the amount of energy she can store -- probably around skyscraper leveling force if she pushes it -- and she either uses the energy to boost her physical abilities, or she launches it as a beam. If she tries to use both at the same time, then the effects will weaken. It kind of makes sense, since both abilities are drawing from the same source. Other than that, she's good.
@Animus It's mostly for plot reasons, yeah. Though I will say that the ranking of a Noble Arm actually plays very little in your ranking, as you say. All ranks from 100 upwards are free game, provided your character is actually worthy of the rank. Also, your Noble Arm has to be a weapon or instrument of war from before WWII :)

Other responses coming up shortly.
@KindledBeast Post it here, meng. Sorry, but your post got buried under dozens of other (unread) PM's :v

Noble Arms. A mysterious power that surfaced during the twilight of World War II - a fact that even today have made many sigh in relief; for the power that Noble Arms lent to its master would have undoubtedly made the already destructive conflict so much more terrible. At present time, institutions have been founded in order to control the rapidly surfacing ability to summon powerful weapons - weapons that could, to the bafflement of scientists today, disregard the laws of physics.

Noble Arms are tools that are innate in the users mind, and summoned by their will into reality. For reasons that still cannot be explained despite years of research, Noble Arms only take the form of weapons from before the First World War, however, despite the antiquity of these forms, the power they bare to the battlefield is unlike anything modern technology has been able to produce.

The ability to manipulate the elements to the users will.

Force that can reduce matter down to atoms in seconds.

The strength to withstand the explosion of a nuclear missile.

All of these powers and more still have surfaced along side Noble Arms, and the ones who bare them, the Arms Masters, are sought after by countries all around the world. Where once the strength of a country was decided by the technological strength of their Army, it is now judge by the power of their Arms Masters.

It is now 2015, and the tradition of Arms Masters has been deeply established in society. There are academy's, school's, and programs dedicated to advancing the abilities of Arms Masters for the sake of their country. Truly, there can be no doubt as to the influence that Arms Masters and Noble Arms holds in today's generation.

Focus now on the Trinidad Noble Arms Academy; based in the Philippines, Trinidad is an international school known for its low standards and high graduation rate. It is a school that produces second-rate and mediocre Arms Masters, with no notable achievements save one: it was the Academy that produced the Hero of 1987, Angelito Jaime who single-handedly ended the war between the ASEAN member nations and China before it had even begun.

Now, though its reputation is tattered and its results unspectacular, Trinidad remains a highly populated Academy, boasting of a population of over 2000 students. This is due in part, to Trinidad's unique scholarship system that allows the lower class, who normally are unable to enroll in an Arms Masters Academy, to enroll. However, this year, things have changed; the director had suddenly passed-away, and another one has taken his place. This Director is driven, determined, and powerful. He has announced that he would be remaking the Academy into a first-rate producer of Arms Masters around the world, and he would take that first step by announcing the schools participation in the Noble Arms Summit - an international meet for all Arms Masters, and the main event is the Noble Arms Summit Student Tournament. The Director will achieve this goal by all means; even if it means culling down hundreds of incapable students.

What path will you take on the dawn of this sudden revolution?
