I'll calculate it real quick.

Also. If you DONT budget, you can "spend" that money during crises if you like, but it's also a risk, as you can't budget them later.

Kingdom of Soroya has $30,500,000,000 GNP.

I don't think I'll add anymore NPC's to Varius, unless no new players join. That's plenty, eh? I do like a full world though. It'd be really awesome to see a landlocked power. Luckland is the small nation between Anvegad and Deltora, it's a bit hard to see.

A LOT OF PEOPLE VIEWING THE THREAD. NOBODY TALKING. :(((((

THE AGE OF IMPERIALISM

1900

January 7th: Prospectors in southeast Honnerian Serranthia discover several sources of oil, much to the acclaim of the Honnerian Prime Minister Jacques de Landre. Citing it as the "doorway to Honnerian greatness in the 20th century," Honneria begins construction of extraction facilities immediately.

January 9th: Three indentured Faresian workers in Flulin in the Soroyan Faresia kill a Soroyan trader, but are later captured and held trial. They are found guilty and sentenced to hang.

January 10th: Huge efforts to begin building additional infrastructure in Deltora get underway to increase trade and transportation.

January 16th: While on exercise, an unnamed Pre-Dreadnought of the Soroyan Royal Navy experiences a breakdown when it's boiler loses pressure. It is subsequently towed back to port at Sikea to be repaired. Technicians suggested that it is simply a weathered and old ship.

January 17th: Heavy summer storms batter the eastern Anvegadian islands. Several hundred homes are damaged in Fallkeep, but farmers expect this will help the year's harvest.

January 20th: The Grand Fleet of Deltora lays down the keel to a submarine, expecting to be completed sometime in the fall.

January 27th: Georges Savanik, Foreign Minister of the Anvegadian Empire sends his appreciation for Honnerian attitudes in Serranthia, extending a hand of friendship. Honnerian Foreign Minister Hemsley and Savanik meet in Summerwall to discuss possible collaboration, but Savanik's hands are tied, as the central premiership decides it is unable to forego any funds to help Honnerian drilling on the continent.

February

February 2nd: The Anvegadian Empire lays down the keel for a destroyer named Pike, expected to be finished in 1901.

February 3rd: Riots in the Survaek city of Kafu break out over grain shortages. The local police manage it, but work in the city halted for nearly a full day. Tensions remain high in the great empire, as blossoming cultures have given rise to the idea of states independent of the sickly Survaek hegemony.

February 5th: Chairman Volkov of the Anvegadian Empire announces a modernization plan to match it's long time rival Deltora. Construction on a complex of factories and tracks of railroad begins in earnest.

February 12th: A light cruiser and two destroyers set sail from Avenhold in the Anvegadian Empire and head south to protect Honnerian holdings as a gesture of good will. The Honnerians, who's navy is antiquated and ramshackle, graciously applaud the effort, though say it is unnecessary, as tensions in Varius and Serranthia are at an all time low.

NATION BUDGETS REQUIRED
-- Deltora
-- Anvegad
-- Survaek
-- Soroya
Whoops. My fault! Your Soroyan colonies in Sarelia and Faresia are up as well. Once some more nations get involved I'll post them up!
Oh, I gotcha.

Game is ready. Send me your budget and feel free to post in the IC. :D

Any questions feel free to send'em my way.
@LordZell Also Zell, colonial provinces cost 2 points and don't count as Land or Coastal provinces when giving you bonuses, but as a colonial which has it's own benefits.

Unfortunately he dallied a bit too long. The island he wanted has been occupied by a player with a finished application; the Grand Survaek Empire.
So! At the beginning of the year (like NOW) you budget out your nation using this and send it to me.

ECONOMICS (At the beginning of every year, you budget for the next 2 turns)
  • Supply Army (1$ Billion GNP): Pays for and feeds 50,000 troops. (If you have troops and do not pay/feed them, they will decrease by 50% per turn until they are gone).
  • Conscription ($1 Billion GNP): Creates 10,000 Conscripts
  • Train Regulars: ($2 Billion GNP): Creates 10,000 Regulars
  • Train Professionals: ($4 Billion GNP): Creates 10,000 Professionals
  • Produce Rifles: ($2 Billion GNP): Produces 10,000 Rifles
  • Produce Light Artillery: ($4 Billion GNP): Produces 50 Light Artillery
  • Produce Heavy Artillery: ($7 Billion GNP): Produces 50 Heavy Artillery
  • Build Industry ($X Billion GNP): (Minor Factory is $15 Billion) (Major Factory is $28 Billion) (Minor Shipyard is $15 Billion) (Major Shipyard is $25 Billion). Minor's take 1 year. Major's take 2.
  • Build Naval Vessel: ($X Billion GNP): (Submarine is $1 Billion GNP/1 Turn, Destroyer is $2 Billion GNP/1 Turn, Light Cruiser is $4 Billion GNP/2 Turns, Armored Cruiser is $8 Billion GNP/3 Turns, Pre-Dreadnought is $12 Billion GNP/4 Turns). (Must have Major Shipyard for Pre-Dreadnought's)
  • Build Railroad: ($3 Billion GNP): Creates railroad in selected Province. Price is doubled in Colonial Provinces.
  • Research Army: (X$ Billion GNP): ($10 Billion GNP + Years Ahead) = Research Price.
  • Research Navy: (X$ Billion GNP): ($5 Billion GNP + Years Ahead) = Research Price.

* Building Ships For Other Nations: If a nation wants a ship built, and you offer your shipyards, they pay for the cost in GNP to you for the ship to be built, plus whatever additional price is negotiated.

Example: NATION A requests an Armored Cruiser be built in NATION B's shipyard. NATION A pays Nation B $8 Billion GNP for Armored Cruiser's GNP cost to NATION B, and NATION A on top of that requests an additional $2 Billion GNP for the service.

* Building a Ship: If you budget for a ship that takes more than 2 Turns, that price will be deducted for all budgets for all the years that ship is being constructed.

THE GAME IS DONE. GO IC. FROLICK AND DO WHATEVER

Varian Continent, circa 1900

Serranthian Continent, circa 1900
<Snipped quote by LordZell>

I think each province has a certain size requirement it needs to fill, so an island simply isn't big enough to fit ten coastal provinces.

This. The island to the southeast can hold 3 Coastal Provinces, max.

EDIT: When you post your application, attach a map claim. Thank you. :D
I'll have that map updated tonight. Feel free to post IC.

IDEA:

Decadent: A nation that has long tested the annals of time, but is now experiencing it's own twilight.
-- +25 Nation Points
-- -20% GNP
-- All Technology costs +50% more
-- -20% Unity
-- -50% Diplomatic Points
.

You're not going to be on an island with 10 Coastal Provinces, you know that right, Zell?
