Just a random guy, doing random things. Main RP: Hell's Coffee Lounge Current RPs change often enough that it's too much effort keeping a list of them updated.

Pain is exciting. By definition. No matter what your state of mind getting hurt will trigger 'excitement', which can then lead to emotions such as fear, anger, or in some cases arousal. But pain cannot be 'boring' to a normal human mind. If someone were to encounter pain as boring that would require a seriously messed-up brain chemistry, as the excited reaction to pain is as fundamental to the human mind as something like our survival instinct, or human empathy.

So effectively, he's going to be turned normal again by exposure to pain. Even if fights bore him, somehow, pain will always revert him back to normal. While usually when you're in a situation that causes pain that's exactly when you don't want to become normal.

While I am highly amused at the idea of a Doomsday-looking monster watching Spongebob while supers are fighting in the background, it seems to me like this character won't be able to do much. Unless his trigger actually fundamentally changes he won't be able to participate in any real combat, and if he actually pisses anybody off they can kill him with a handgun and a book of insults.

If that's what you're going for, wouldn't it make sense to make the trigger than he hulks out when his 'heroism' thing is triggered? Else he's going to turn back every time he gets into a fight, and spend his time as a giant monster watching cartoons on a slow afternoon.

Figured it was something like that. I just saw you hadn't posted in a while, and figured I should probably poke you.
@AtomicNut

She's the half, considering she's chaotic enough to help them about half the time.
Sorry if my interruption wasn't exactly called for, but it'd been ages since I'd done anything and I was getting bored.

In all this excitement, it quit seemed like he had been forgotten. Bit of a battle raging here, but it was clear the metal fella had this one in the bag. Worst part was neither seemed keen on hirin' 'im on, so this whole thing was just a waste'a time. Best thing he could do now was kill off the knight and claim the drops. With her coughing up blood and all she wouldn't last much longer anyway, and this way he got a cut of the loot.

Muttering under his breath about a hell for stingy Erubescans he gestured at Kora with his left hand, making a finger gun. Not a very scary gesture, normally, but his version was far more lethal. Taking a moment to take aim, he fired off his first shot. Making bored 'pew' noises he caused bullets to materialise in front of his fingers, already moving at full speed, with none of the muzzle flash usually associated with guns. The sound was also a bit different. While there was no chemical explosion, there was a slight bang from the bullets breaking the sound barrier as they popped into this world. He was aiming for the knees, of course. No sense in killing her off before he could learn something useful, like her pin code.

Slowly walking forward while firing his finger guns at regular intervals, Alex kept his right hand in his pocket. He didn't even need it for now. Stupid woman had wandered all this way to get into a losing fight, and wasn't even wearing proper armour. Based on what he could see of their power they wouldn't be much of a threat. Now if they could project heat at range, then he'd start being worried.
@Shikaru
Also, do you mind if I create a Covenant character in order to balance the numbers a bit? It seems that with Wraith having lost interest there's only 2 1/2 people fighting for the Covenant.
@Kazemitsu

If you want to have Tristan 'arrive' anywhere you're free to show up in any of the locations in Vance. There's plenty of people looking for you so there should be plenty of stuff to do.
Yay! That'll probably get me something to do when Guilt returns to the city.
