Either RolePlayerGuild.com is glitching, or everyone is studiously ignoring my PMs.

Once I nail down Ru's motivations, I could probably start us off.

Speaking of which, I'm thinking her original motivations may be good enough after all. If the nations of the world are ruled by old, corrupt politicians who keep trying to weaken their peoples to consolidate power, that could explain why she's raising her own army to conquer the world instead of trying to negotiate an alliance between the nations.
Xadia's an awesome name though. Sounds a bit like Zodia from that Down to Earth webtoon.
@Rabidporcupine Yeah, that's cool. :)
My main trouble with our villain was that "nobody's listening to me" is kind of a pathetic motivation to kill people. Given her currently established personality, she's more likely to try and build up individual people than raise a death-army. So something isn't lining up.

What if, perhaps, she thought the only way to save humanity is to destroy it? If she despaired of defeating the Voidspawn, she might want to send everyone to the afterlife to prevent them from falling into their hands. And maybe our heroes could stop her by demonstrating that it is possible to defeat the coming Void incursion.

I dunno. I got some thinking to do.
The name I've been rolling with in my headcanon is Aion, but @Conejitoooo may have other ideas.
@Zool Yeah, that's true. Besides, it occurred to me last night her original motivation is good enough if her personality and regenerative powers are tweaked a bit.
@Rabidporcupine An icelandic environment sounds awesome. Let's do that! Cavern systems are perfect too, not only for the reasons you mentioned, but also because they make great labyrinthine dungeons for adventurers to explore. It would totally fit with the theme we've got going.
@Rabidporcupine In the frozen north, surprisingly, maybe. I always imagined the dwarves lived in a volcanic region just west of the orcs' land, too, so there might be something we could work with there.
Ooh, I just had a wicked idea for the Witch's motivation: what if the Empire were secretly trying to build a Void army, and the Witch found out? That could definitely explain her animus against the Empire...
@Rabidporcupine Exactly! Yes, they could build structures out of bones and hides - although, given the scarcity of life of any kind out in the Badlands, most of that biological material would come from...well, their fellow monsters. >_>

And yes, there's some small, hardy plant life out in the Badlands. Cacti might be a thing too.
