Current folk horror/occult fans: somewhere I saw the label "loup gyaru" and that's either a typo, or an anime werewolf romcom that has a solid chance at being really funny. Like if you agree with the latter

the eternal struggle; RP Edition: None of the ideas going around interest me. My own ideas *only* interest me (mostly; some of y'all are cooler than you get credit for).

I am longer RickyG; Toad King was something my son called me when he was, like, 3, as a compliment. I was sitting on a stoop between some little toad statues or something, he thought it was cool.

Bio

Bios are stupid; oh, sure, everyone can see them, but I bet nobody reads them.

Rude hand gestures and shpadoinkle, there.

No, I wasn't drunk when I wrote this, but I was very tired.

I have a few ideas bouncing around my head at any given time, some original, some a little more "fanfic" ish, and some nostalgia fueled.

these are ideas/subjects I'd love to have a good rp with, and don't already have an interest post out for:

-Digimon (nostalgia, at this point there's a lot to the franchise I'm unfamiliar with)

-High Rollers (original, anime inspired, would make use of the dice roller, as well)

-Night Terrors (another original, horror, likely a reboot, as this is one I've done before)

-Spiral Zone (nostalgia, a 1980's action scifi cartoon, with some apocalyptic elements)

-Skeleton Warriors (more nostalgia-ish ideas, a 1990's action/scifi setting, with some fantasy and apocalyptic elements. Specifically, I would attempt a follow up to the conclusion of the series, as it left the primary antagonist dead [and the original source of the conflict destroyed], but his loyal legions still present, so continued conflict is still there, as well as a power vacuum to be filled among the villains.)

more idea's to come, maybe.

as usual, comment with interest, or pm me. I mark my rp's 18 and up, because I prefer to play with more mature, experienced players.

I could have done without the "fan service", but otherwise I really enjoyed the manga and anime "The Island of Giant Insects", and with an eye for the manga in particular, I think it would be fun to explore, if not a continuation of that story (I honestly cared for very few of the characters), than a follow up.

It would be at least a few months after the events of the manga/movie, where either the giant arthropods themselves, or at least whatever caused them to become giant sized, have spread to other areas; society is barely managing to maintain itself, and only by changing radically, and large areas of earth, including several major cities, belong to the Insects, now. There are very few "Safe Zones", where coordinated efforts are barely managing to keep the Insects at bay, but outside of those, some are learning to either find and keep good places to hide, or live on the move, rather than wait for Insects to catch them with no way to escape.

So, anybody up for some insect themed survival horror?
noted, I'll do that
Bump.

Also, writing up an OOC in a separate document, just in case this actually get's some interest and thus can go anywhere. 1 would be enough, honestly.

I like to write, so, fun either way. ^_^
ok, so, "dark Fantasy" sounds kind of like what I have in mind, with some adventure elements, as well. I didn't go into huge detail in order to have a couple surprises, so I hope this explains enough.

If we can get a couple more people interested, it can at least get off the ground.
@deia876latthere are going to be some horror elements, for sure, but it's not intended as a flat out horror setting. As for the "dark fiction/fantasy" question... I'll brush up on what that would actually entail, today (I'm up and getting ready for my day, otherwise I'd do it now), and get back to you on that.

Here's a dumb idea I'll offer up, and see who's interested:

Based on a short video someone made half my life ago, the story would center around an antique shop called "Intriguingly's", owned and operated by one "Lukewald Sludgemare". Nobody really knows him personally, or precisely when he came to town and opened up his shop, but it's there, and it's just as strange (and at times unnerving) as he is.

There is a special door, in the shop, that he warns new customers to not open (despite using the door himself). The story would begin when someone decides to disregard this instruction.
Oops, first posted this as on OOC thread; meant to do this in the interest check- can a mod delete the old one, please?

I"m looking to do some rp, it's been awhile, and I'm interested in some 1x1, as the pacing tends to be better on responses.

I'm open to fandom, I guess, but I"m not familiar with much current fandom, so I'd automatically be the dummy that prompts exposition.

Other than that, I like middle range fantasy (non human people included, some magic flying around but nothing like, say, Slayers where everyone and their mother is slinging magic about constantly), almost all forms of science fiction, horror, anime/manga inspired original stuff, post apocalyptic settings (if presented well). I've lost my taste for romance, recently.

I'm open to adult stuff, but if that's the only thing you want to do, please don't waste my time.

The only thing I like better than a good story is being a part of one, and actually seeing where it goes. If you're the sort to pick something up, and lose interest quickly, then again, don't waste my time.

either reply here, or PM me if you're interested, and be sure to mention what you are interested in doing. Man, Woman, any other identities out there, no problem, I just ask you to be over 18 (Frankly, I'd prefer one at least be 25; I'm 35 years old, and I just don't want to play with kids)
