Digimon G-Shatter (Redux)(Royal Knights Mk: II[Sorta])

(Because when an RP is abandoned before its infancy by its creator, I choose to save it. Especially because it's Digimon : p) OOC

Alright, so, here are the basics-
It's late November, 2004, in Nerima, Tokyo, and something strange is about to happen. To the sounds of chimes new and old, several youths are whisked away into another world. They are the Digidestined, their task, gather and form the Royal Knights of Legend and cement their prophecy into reality!

Okay, so I'm looking for players in a semi-realistic, somewhat serious Digimon RP, in which 10-13 human characters, played by as many players as we get, (Six or so?) do the above- form the Royal Knights. Now, there are currently all 13 cannon Knights revealed. Does that mean you're stuck with them? No. I'm allowing custom/non-cannon Knight like Digimon who are either already Holy Knight type, close enough to it, or a Warrior/Godman type. You can also design your own, just let me know about your choices and clear them with me first.

Okay, so a few rules.
1, Casual RP Standards. Read 'em, understand 'em, use 'em. I don't want to read something that's short and impossible to understand and doesn't do anything but swell your character's ego.
2. Dynamic Characters are fun, I promise! No Sues. (But if your character's name is Susan that's fine.) Creativity is encouraged! (Just fit the theme please?)
3. Cooperate! We all want to have fun together, so let's all talk together about what we want and how we can all be happy. This includes me.
4. NO Godmodding, Bunnying, Powerplays, or openly defying what has been previously put in the OOC unless there's a reason for the last.
--Godmodding= Playing someone else's character.
--Bunnying= Making someone helpless prey. Killing without a fight in one post, ignoring credible threats only in your own posts (as opposed to your character being ignorant to threats)- basically combat Godmodding.
--Powerplays= Having only your character make progress and gain power. If your Digimon Digivolves first every time (which it won't) and everyone else has to fight over the scraps, that's no fun.
5. Please no excessive swearing, overly gory posts, overly sexual content, or excessive drug use. A guy can occasionally smoke to make him more characterized, but don;t make it a crippling carton-a-day addiction, or have it endanger the health of others. You can f over your own characters, but don't f over anyone else.(As a general rule.)
6. There is no rule six.
7. Funnnnnn. Have some. Also if I have to take a disciplinary action, I will, either if your writing serially underperforms, if you're mean to other players, or deliberate breaking of rule 4. I don't want to kick people out, but I will if I have to.OrIcouldalwaystakeitoutonyouintheEndGamewithoutgivinganysigns. I am the GM after all, and will be in control of a good chunk of the story. However, contributions are welcome after all included parties agree.

Now, on to RP content.
There are a few things I'd like to tell you. Namely:
1. I'd like to have a few suggestions when it comes to your characters. a) Born between 1990 and 1985 (Age 14-17 with a max of 19). b) A non-tourist school going resident of the Tokyo area of Japan. They do not have to be fully or even partially Japanese, but at least be able to speak with other characters, c) No two characters should share the exact same feature. Unless there are siblings, no feature meant to be unique should be repeated. Not skin-tone per-say, but things like anime eye colors, hair colors, hair styles, or hereditary quirks. c) I'd like to privately make one request of each player's opening post at least. However, I leave an open line of communication in the OOC or through PM if you want to talk about plans and events in the RP.

2. There will be several items that will me involved in the RP besides Digivices. Primarily, a rubber like protective suit, almost like a decorated wet/dry suit, to protect human characters from erratic temperature shifts and conditions in the Digital World, as they will be traveling between the Real World and the Digital World frequently. You can decide what they look like yourself, but they will serve as uniforms for in the Digital World, and I'd recommend no outlandish frills or fins, but small valve things, semi-streamlining portions, and whatever color scheme you want is fine, just keep it to two or three. A proposed device is an item that would allow more precise communication between human and Digimon in the heat of dangerous battle and prevent permanent deletion by having the Digicore shielded.

3. Digivolving will work in the story through the data having to be processed and prepared after certain items are achieved or tasks are done. Reaching the final Knight form will take the use of a specific item at times, but may be allowed to be achieved in a temporary and limited fashion. Otherwise, it will basically be agreed upon in the OOC beforehand.

4. On the tone: Serious. There can be minor jokes, just don't expect lots of silly situations that are allowed to last long. Awkward situation humor and sarcasm are more welcome, but I will let someone be silly if they feel they need to cheer someone up with it(In Character of course.). Just don't expect an attempt to beat a Demon Lord with a cream pie fight to get very far. Also expect the result of a human attempting to punch a Digimon to be a broken wrist at least. Not a threat, just a statement of Digimon are strong and the majority of threatening ones won't mess around.

5. I'd appreciate if all human characters were new to Digimon stuff and the Digimon to have not been a very high level before- No Former Megas recently deceased, kay? Not without permission and asking first with good explanation. Ruins the fun otherwise.

6. Other medium such as anime/manga and music exist in this world too. Feel free to make some up, but ask if ones can exist in the RP that are real life manga/anime/music/movies. No Digimon merchandise in Digimon Reality.

7. Character appearances that follow "anime rules" (like crazy spiked hair, blue/green/pink/bright red hair/eyes... things like that)are allowed! Just don't be crazy.
Unless your character has reason to be crazy. On a similar note- please don't make your character be a gajinka, especially of something related to your Digimon character, specifically their first/current/final form. I find it irksome, because in-universe, it's hard to rationalize. Also, don't look exactly like a well known character. Like, if I can tell who it is, and I don't congratulate you on your obscure reference... you might want to change it.(I mean how many people in real life just so happen to look like Bruce Lee and get recruited for the local fire department or underdog-pit-crew on its way to glory?)

8. The Mighty 8. Player Digimon will be balanced. Try and do it yourself, but if I don't think it'll work, I'll tweak it myself.
General Tweaking- Between the Ultimate Phase and everyone getting their Knight Item/whatever, players may choose an intermediary Mega for utility/combat to be upgraded to the Royal Knight but not lost. Certain Digimon, such as Alphamon, Omnimon, or others that are deemed very strong (Like it it sounds right calling them "OP"), may have three Mega stages including Knight stage, and wait longer to achieve Knightdom because of it. Things like Alpha inForce may be changed to a way of knowing all possible battle outcomes, or happenings, without knowing which one will happen, or both Alpha inForce and Omega inForce being defensive barriers (Default Omega inForce is Omnimon can't be surprise attacked, do with that what you will.) or Techniques that would be "instant win" being altered in some way to make it more fair. (Such as a certain Digimon not having three energy summons and instead being able to change forms similar to a certain Deoxys instead of being able to break physics at a moment's notice. Basically, one thing raises, everything else lowers, attempting to raise everything causes mortal damage.)

Aaaand I can't think of anything else. Oh-

Setting: I specifically picked 2004, because I figure it can be as 90's as we need it to be without having to be like "oh yeah, that didn't exist then". So, older style cellphones being popular, but no uber-widespread wireless internet is fine. Actually, that's what I expect. The more 90'sness the better. Its' a work of fiction so we can tweak it.

Close. Just don't want anyone to have to lag behind in combat. I personally would wait for something like Alphamon because of lore, and well, Alphamon, (GainForce broken. I'll run it defensively) but I'm not sure how others would balance their power. Also mode changes.

I'm probably playing Examon myself, so his personality will balance him out.

Basically yeah. Also, so there's at least a chance of a human taking one hit without being obliterated. The later capsuel thing is so A- The newly formed Royal Knights won't be permanently deleted, and so no "human gets lost/kidnapped" or cheap-shot/removed from assisting the Digimon.
Also, there will be radio communication from the Real World, at least early on, so it's not like there isn't a Digital World support system, it just won't be available all the time because of plot. And no, it won't be some "they were on lunch break" thing.

I forget, RBY, were you in the original G Shatter? Was that the one I'm thinking of? Not the Raidramon one with multi-Digimantle and the territory thing.

Let's be fair- Digimon is never that straight forward. Plus, those are suggestions. If anyone wants to have their Digimon at Ultimate for that long, be my guest. I'll repeat, it's more so that people who play Alphamon, Omnimon, etc. aren't like WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon were in Adventure. Everyone should get a fair shot to fight, and not have to bow out of every fight or else they'll get smeared. If you have more concise, reasonable questions or objections, then by all means, let me know. Or, if you find it irreconcilable, you could always start your own Digimon RP. I won't be mad, unless there's like sabotage or whatever. Plus there is sort of a stratification in Megas. I mean, it's there with Ultimates and most other levels, but it's most obvious in Mega. Like, there are ones like Babamon, then there's SaberLeomon, and WarGreymon, then like NeoMyotismon and such. Heck, even the Knights have varying power. Think Crusademon or Leopardmon could take like Examon? Not without an extra under-stage. Sensible?

Haha. You beat me to it Kay. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, um... Good Kwanza...? I'm lifting the week thing for now. Mainly because one player will be out for two visiting family. Also not at my computer now. Anyone who wants to post is free to go as far as meeting their Digimon. I'd allow conversation between human chars, but they're not all there yet. Feel free to use Roll20 for minor conversations between characters. I'll set up the characters and permissions later today or tomorrow, so the "type as" system can be used and the RP never has to grind to a halt.

Lot went on while I was gone. And here I thought you were a mountain sized ant hill, or perhaps a constant refraction of light,

Anyway, if I do take over this RP, it will be rather different. I'll reestablish the rules, for one, and shift the focus more to the Royal Knights being formed as per the "prophecy", as opposed to having fallen. I'll also make things a bit more dire, and have certain requests of certain character features and opening posts, (mainly that each character shares a feature like eye or hair color with no more than one other character and they at least live in the same area of Japan) but I won't have the Digidestined (or equivalent) go unassisted,
And other than a few core members (more than half), any Digimon that qualifies as a Holy Knight/ is Warrior like can be a Knight due to the structure/plot I have in mind.
That being the case, would you be interested in joining RBY? A certain few Insectoid Digimon would be welcome.
Oh, and I'd likely employ a three Mega system, with a base Mega, a stronger one, or one for utility, and the Knight, so that it's cooler, but that Mega isn't the end of the road, dig?

Also, I'm thinking of hazmat-like jumpsuit type things so we have the costume change/uniform thing, and the potential extreme conditions can be protected against. And maybe later on a dual purpose capsule that both keeps Digicores from shattering, and keeps the human safe while allowing for more cooperative combat.

Also now Nekane is back. Along with someone else you know RBY. This will be fun with the plot I have in mind.
A bit like Adventure in the Genai phase where there's guidance, but not experienced members, and a bit like 02 with a semi-mission-based format, but with a bit more of the "realness" of Tamers, a bit of lore-arching like Frontier, and none of the ungainly stuff from Data Squad.

Do people who abandon animals get to say "Just say I raised that dog" to the person who chooses to adopt said animal? Not like I'm not mad, I just don't see the logic behind it.
