White Wolf Returns: A Homecoming for World of Darkness
For over three decades, White Wolf has stood at the bleeding edge of supernatural and horror storytelling. From Vampire: The Masquerade to Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Mage: The Ascension, our games helped shape generations of roleplayers, writers, and dreamers who sought meaning in the shadows.
Today, we are proud to announce that World of Darkness will once again be guided under the name that birthed it: White Wolf.
This isnโt just a name change. Itโs a return to our rootsโand a commitment to the future. A future where mature horror stories are told with care. Where community and collaboration are central. Where fans, creators, and licensees can find clarity, support, and inspiration under a banner they trust.
Simultaneously, we are announcing today that White Wolf will now be a publisher, as well as a licensor, of World of Darkness games. This means that we will continue to work with our network of licensing partners who bring you all the great video games, tabletop roleplaying games, card games, and more -- but we will also develop some new games internally, and publish them.
The first game that we will publish as White Wolf is Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 as co-publisher with Paradox Interactive. We will announce additional games from White Wolf as the publisher later this year.
As White Wolf, we will: โข Reinforce our legacy as pioneers of narrative-driven horror and emotional roleplay across all our products. โข Provide clear leadership across all World of Darkness media and products. โข Support creators with improved tools, transparency, and canon guidance. โข Maintain rigorous standards for inclusivity, sensitivity, and collaboration in storytelling.
The night belongs to us all. Welcome home, Vamily.
P R E S E N C E Nick finds himself within the moral grey as he can sometimes help others but also fuck people over. On purpose or not, it's the life style he has chosen - how he lives. He's mature, serious and occasionally funny when the situation calls for it. Some call him an opportunist but he just calls himself a realist. Especially in this dog eat dog world, who woulden't be?
C H R O N I C L E A lot of people talk.
It's what you would expect, pre-war valuables, peoples stashes and anything else you could think of. Maybe, think of it as urban legends of sorts but with so many circulating around you could almost swear they were too good to be true. Of course, I'm not one to judge nor to second guess a good lead if it leads to a payday. There's always a chance of that team of six standing in that alley you entered to 'dig' up whatever fool's gold you were after, or the heart-racing danger of taking on a clanker supergiant for a corporate reward it just comes with the game.
The game while relatively the same requires you to wear many hats or have various roles for a group to fill. For me though, I'm a Gunslinger, wanderer, diplomat, a decent cook and for good measure wreckless. Of course, I'm better at some roles than others, for the most part in my short span of fuck-all I've gotten away with some good but mostly bad. Some scars, burned bridges amongst other unsavory things.
That's not why I'm in Helston, not to run from my past to follow some manifest destiny. My reasons which will remain mine to know are selfish in nature, a small hint for those detectives - money solves alot of problems. I'm not one who has alot of problems, I just would.. like to solve the ones I have. I have leads to follow, contracts to fulfill and angles to explore. It's vague sure, but explaining such a tale would require a vast amount of alcohol to tell as well as time I don't have.
Regardless, when people talk I listen and I think it's just better that way.
No one is really interested in what I have to say.
M E M O R I E S Lt. Adrian Devins - Mentor and teacher during his time at Helston's military academy, while only attending a few years since Nick arrived when he was a late teen Devins helped Nick become a better soldier and citizen despite his past roots.
Julia Marko - An on and off lover in Helston, despite constant conflict the two can never seem to stay together for long but they always come back to each other.
Biff, Greg, Killer, Romero - Surviving members from the Dust Devil's Gang, they haven't been seen in years since the gang split after a Union crackdown.
Traits: Inspirational Commander Former Rank And File Educated Big
Flaws: Poor Vanguard General Magic Hater
Strength: 4 Intelligence: 5 Charisma: 3
History:
The Story So Far: Born in the bustling town of Vaughan, a few miles outside of the Gallian Captial. Arturo Delfrezy was born to a local noble family. The Delfrezy family had been through tough times the last war, they were originally ore miners in the outskirt town of the Tyrell. Most of the men old enough to join up to the war were sent, including Arturo's father - Jamieson. The men who did return to the family moved, maybe it had been the war that took it's toll on them or feeling to move on with their life but regardless the Delfrezy family moved closer to the border. It's there where they started a small mining company that operated a few mines on the country borders.
When the war broke out, the stoic young Arturo was working with his family managing the company. The mines they previously operated were taken over by the invaders. This crippled the family, and once again the men headed the call to battle. This time Arturo, along with other men in his neighborhood found themselves enlisting in the army. The walk wasn't too long to Pastelo on a day or so on foot from Vaughan, Arturo found others like him enlisting in the city and after a brief time at the recruiting office the nobleman found himself in the army.
Through distinguished actions in combat and proving, he had a good head on his shoulders Arturo was sent to an officer candidate academy, despite some reservations and nobility squandering he came out a fresh officer.
