Coatlicue: So you're going to let one member decide the course of everything? Sounds familiar. Oh, wait, that's what happened with the person you're trying to call us to arms against.

<Snipped quote by Unhinged>

Coatlicue: Directly interfering in the life of the only remaining member of the group Yander's generation was created to not interfere with is a good place to start for you? Live too long or something, Brutus?
*Sighs* Do whatever you want, but I'm out. I won't be strong-armed into going directly against the last rule we've cared about following in the remembered past. If that's even why she's after us.

This is different. We're preventing a catastrophe by abnormality. This is not the way this is supposed to be. And, instead of doing something, you propose continuing to do absolutely nothing? Or do have some other lead? This is our only hope for survival, Coatlicue. Just know I'm not strong-arming you. You're free to leave if you want. But the future of the Codex is in jeopardy, and you're a part of this, whether you want to be one of the ones that tries to fix it or not.
<Snipped quote by Mammalia>

Coatlicue: Why? It's not our job. Once it got closer to the Oblivion, it stopped being my job to care. What about this is different than before, other than Yander not being around to tell us to stay out of it? We all sat out of it just fine before.

It's high time we found a job. Indon't know about you, but I need something to do. The Triggers have been gone for a while now, and now that they're coming back, I'm going to do my job and take care of it. The Oblivion has to go. You're right, no one has watched the Moderators in a long time. So that, plus the fact that Triggers aren't around anymore anyways... We need a new purpose, and this seems like a good place to start to me.

*Grimaces*
Unfortunately.

<Snipped quote by Mammalia>

Baphumet's successor may be especially hostile. We don't really know.

So which will it be?
<Snipped quote by Unhinged>

You're arguing from a binary position. To counterpoint, the subjective evil position is that everyone believes what they are doing is good, with VERY few exceptions, and that leads to what others or even the same person considers evil. For example, killing in the name of a deity. Obviously they believe they're doing good, even if they find killing to be evil, and others view it as evil, so the opposing goods conflict.

I believe you're actually agreeing with what I'm saying. What I'm trying to say at least. Order is what everyone works toward, but the means by which it is achieved or by which people try to achieve it lead to more chaos which contradicts their intentions.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Also one of the seven, so doesn't count. But it can be argued that greed comes from pride. "I want these things because I deserve them inherently. I deserve everything."

Seems conditional rather than a universal case.
<Snipped quote by Unhinged>

Yes, but, for one, fighting is itself chaos, and two, most fights are not necessarily over peace and chaos. Two people may fight over the most orderly method of organising your clothes, and they're both advocating order.

You're looking at it too deeply. We always fight for peace, everyone, but the reason why we fight instead of taking obvious easier methods is because if what I'm talking about. I'm not saying that one side advocates for peace and one for chaos cosciously or intentionally, but the fact that fighting is what is always resorted to when the need to solve a problem arises suggests an internal inclination toward chaos.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

I like it. And it stems from pride, too. A very clever teacher of mine once said that all sins, and even many negative emotions all stem from pride as a source.

I say it's split between greed and pride, but eh.

<Snipped quote by Unhinged>

Not really.

It's not like those two opposing forces can exist without interacting with each other, all things considered. And when peace refuses to conpromise with chaos (which is always the case) what else can result from it?
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Argument is close enough. I just have to test each possible set of conditions against my theory.

<Snipped quote by Galaxy Raider>

All that does is lead to a clash between order and our desires. That doesn't have any steps toward fighting yet.

It's pretty self explanatory from there, really.
<Snipped quote by Galaxy Raider>

I meant on this planet, but yeah, we can do that elsewhere. Sounds like fun.

Violet: Sweet.
<Snipped quote by Unhinged>

We have to convince Baphumet that it's a better idea to work as a team to defeat Dark so she'll release the orbs and we can get the successors, or... we can kill her and get three successors, but risk that they won't be compliant.

Not like we have much choice.
