Ohhh hello! I have been looking around for something to join! This looks really cool and I'm actually quite invested at everyone's stories!

I'd like to ask requirements more that is beyond the character profiles? I'm actually new to this type of forums so it might take awhile! But I'm usually asking questions just in case there is new rules and regulations (^^)

History:
Veil was once a court mage, one of the most powerful in his world. His familiar, Noct, helps him see beyond what he can see and is an extension of his power. He served the Kingdom of Corinth in a large and sprawling world filled with magic and strange technology comparable to our modern day. This world was mired with struggle, such was Veil's upbringing. He was trained from birth by a circle of mages who continued to cultivate his power and skill.

One day saw the beginning of a long a terrible war against the apocalypse. Veil and a number of other heroes fought in this war, against the darkness, against the end. However, even with all their might combined, the heroes' world was slowly consumed by darkness. In the final battles that marked the valiant last stand of existence, Veil and Noct both disappeared. They appeared to have been consumed by darkness.

Veil and Noct then reawaken. Not knowing where they are or what their new purpose should be. They are lost.

Abilities:

• Insight - He can, in a sense, see people's intentions through aura. It is represented in colors, Blue is friendly, Red is hostile, Yellow is anything in between (Uncertainty).
• Artes - As a mage he has the ability to use a wide range of magic. This includes illusions, the four primary elements of his world (Aeros, Terros, Pyros, and Aquos), and astral magic (gravity and projection).
• Familiar Presence - Noct is an extension of Veil. Noct eyes are Veil's eyes, Noct's ears are Veil's ears. Noct is also a conduit for Veil's magic - he can cast his magic through Noct as long as they are mentally connected.

How's this? Is there more I'll need to add? I'm not quite sure what else really.

I'm a bit new around, just finished my college work. I read the first page of the OOC and got some of the tips and I'm really interested, but I'm still a little lost on how to start. Do I just, create a character and pop into the IC once it's approved?

Sorry, I'm a little scatterbrained and I get confused and/or lost easily. Plus I'm still a little shy with doing all this roleplay stuff (Partly why I'm doing it is to break out of my shyness.)
