Mighty Morphing Power Rangers - A New Day

It was a bright shining day yet again at Angel Grover and years have passed since the signals blared danger. But it has been a while since anyone had roamed the halls of the fortress Zordon had once inhabited. The Rangers for all intents and purposes were gone as the world had no need for them. The first generation, who were known as the Aquitian Rangers, came from space and were using a different set of powers and but they're original job was to catch the criminal Kar The Crusher. They, however, were forced to leave before catching him and recruited the aid of six humans. Using an ancient power now forgotten the rangers gained their powers and kept their fight going against the Monster King Kar. That was twenty years ago during the year 1993...the rangers have since long departed from their duties for one reason or another. Alpha 5 remembered the days of Zordon before he was....banished by The Monster General Hark as he managed to find an artifact that allowed him to breach the defenses of the command center though that artifact is gone with the first king. The first human power rangers sought revenge but they no longer needed Zordon themselves having completed their training went onto defeat Kar and seal away Kar, Hark, and the other generals. However those were long gone and twenty years had past. Alpha was busy, as usual, keeping the place maintained in hopes of the Rangers returning one day. However he doubted it would ever happen again. After all they had lost many of the rangers not to time but to the war.

There were only one generation of rangers and when they no longer were needed they vanished. The sacrifice of the past rangers were something of note. What exactly happened to the power rangers is a mystery and where they are now is unknown. However The Red Ranger was crippled in the final fight leaving him feeling powerless and guilty about the problems he caused the rangers in the final fight. The dinozords were all repaired and sent back to their hiding places for later use. The friend of the rangers who acted as a replacement mentor, The Phantom Ranger. The Phantom Ranger had afterward decided that he would go away with the Green Ranger after depositing the green morpher and those of the other Rangers into a small capsule. The Red Ranger lost his spirit but refused to give up his morpher seeing that he may end up using it again one day and went away to other parts seeking to find out if he still had the strength to be a ranger. In truth Alpha did not know where they were now nor did he know how to find them. However he did miss the Red and the Green Ranger, who were missing in action and left his morpher behind. But it was all for nothing as the General before the final battle had indeed stopped and perhaps even killed Zordon in this very place they stood using some sort of black magic. The true end to Zordon however was something that was likely to change the universe and in the end that wasn't what happened so there was hope. Thankfully he was stopped from destroying the rest of the things thanks to the Phantom Ranger.

Zordon's last action before he vanished was that he transferred what he could to the powerful Phantom Ranger, who was defending Zordon but failed to stop the general, and he became protector and head of the rangers in his stead. Oh how Alpha missed those days so much if only he could have them back! Suddenly footsteps sounded from the entrance to the Rangers HQ. Alpha started to panic and rushed to the security consoles, what was going on!? He did not know because there had been no message from the Alien Rangers returning to help them or the returning of the others so it had to be an evil person! Alpha looked down the hall as the footsteps got closer and the panic really set in! "Who's there! Ay yi yi please don't com-" but before he could finish the familar sight appeared to Alpha. "You're...you're back!? Where's-" The black armored ranger raised his hand and shook his head. "Patience Alpha we must work quickly, I will explain everything later I promise. If we don’t work quickly bad things will happen. Now come with me or else the Rangers be destroyed forever. It will be just like old times." The Phantom Ranger said and then walked over to Alpha to explain what was to come...

The Setting for the story: 1 Week after the college opened (note what happened above is happening now and not one week earlier.)

It was another boring day in the required class of biology for Joey Hawk. The bell rang in the halls of Angel Grove Community College as Professor Dom explained that they were to study the final final chapter on how tectonic plates worked for homework. The class couldn't get out soon enough as many of the students got up to leave. Joey himself was tired and had scribbled down two pages worth of notes. Of course Joe pulled out his cellphone and text messaged all the guys and girls of his little circle to meet him outside near the football field. It'd be nice to see if he could get a group together to see if he could get done a small essay in English 102 class with the help of his mates. "Hey professor I'm going to come by tomorrow for a bit of help if you don't mind." Joe called down to the professor who was getting his stuff all together but was having a hard time due to the fact he had a hard time walking due to a birth problem that left him with a stiff left leg and he nodded and told him to come by at two o'clock. The rest of the class was already trying to get out of the class as quick as possible and in fact were almost all gone minus a few adults who had questions. He couldn't wait to get outside, it was so cold in the school thanks to all the air conditioners! He straightened up his dark green jacket and golden watch, a gift from his father for passing high school, and got his stuff together. School it had always been a bother for the young Joey Hawke but he learned to deal with it after all that was what life was about right?

Growing up and being a man was something he always looked forward too. Nothing he ever did in his childhood days could compare to what he wanted to do in his adult future. To be an something big like a manager or something along those lines was something he was planning on taking pride in. He headed to the door and wondered what the day was going to be like. He liked Professor Dom a lot the guy was a cool guy in his opinion. He was fair, he helped you out, and he was one hell of a straight and honest guy. He was the sort of teacher you sat down and laughed with but he was still very mature in his own way. Joe wondered how everyone was doing and hoped they were doing alright. Joe sighed when he managed to get outside the class rom and see that he would be a bit late maybe since there were a ton of things in the hall way and the classroom itself was far away from the bio room. "God damn it..." Joe said as he shouldered his backpack and walked out into the hall way.

It has been some time since the battle between the King of Monsters, Kar the Crusher, and the Original Power Rangers has been over for about twenty years now (the year was 1994). The battle that took place in Angel Grove and the surrounding areas has been long since done with and the rangers vanishing during the last battle. It was a long battle that lasted for an entire year and a half and cost the lives of quite a few of Angel Grove's former inhabitants. With the destruction of most of the king's forces and his sudden disappearance after his final fight with the rangers life has returned to normal in angel grove. The original rangers have not been seen or heard of since nor has their mentor the Phantom Ranger whom had kept himself out of the public eye and had trained the original teenagers. Alpha Five has taken care of the base since the fated event where Zordon was lost to them due to the monster king's magic. However this is not the end of their story...A general had escaped and fled the last battle managing to avoid the fate of the king. He has found an old friend whom shall allow him to construct his own army. His goal revenge starting with angel grove. Thus brings the return of the Phantom Ranger and the start of the new generation of Power Rangers...

Rules:
(Edit: This will be a mighty morphin era rangers only rp. If the rp is completed we will move onto Zeo, Turbo, Space, etc.)
1. As usual all roleplay rules apply. This roleplay however will require at least a paragraph per post that doesn't include fight scenes.
2. You can have any color canon or non-canon as long as it is not taken but you will not be automatically better because of the color of your suit. For example silver ranger in place of say the yellow ranger or the black ranger.
3. This is using the season 1 gear meaning that the morphers and the zords will all be from that era. You may pick from any season 1 canon zord despite your color as long as it is not already taken. Minus the Red Tyrannosaurus.
4. We are new rangers in fact we haven't even gotten our powers yet. We are not veterans and that means we can not go in and take on an entire group of monsters by our lonesome on most conditions remember team work is key in the rangers at least until we get more experience.
5. You may pick a canon ranger if you so desire but remember to stay in his or her character. You may change his or her suit color if you'd like
6. Your character should have trained in some sort martial arts form of some type in his or her life. This is to prevent people from complaining those who DO know martial arts aren't seeming like Mary sues from the start.

Alright as I said we'll make an OOC post tomorrow. I intend for us to at least know each other (in character I mean) to a decently friendly degree and or be 'a friend of a friend' so to speak.
