The True Self - Persona

hey guys since I've been very inactive I've been considering dropping this roleplay. What are your opinions on this matter? I have talked to both Sho and Savo but nothing really has changed to my knowledge and with Jace so inactive the Tower Arcana is really just sitting there vacantly which is a shame.

Some quick examples of what I fixed or attempted to at least:

Paul's relationship with Lacus is given a bit more insight and even though the love is very flawed and in my opinion not as written as it should be it is still what it is.

In it I put in Paul was colder and a war monger. That isn't true. Paul while violent in combat doesn't normally enjoy it but he doesn't fight his emotions that tend to agree with fighting another human being either. He fights when he needs to or when he is emotionally unstable.

I explored Jason's past a bit more in the first post but it is nothing worth noting just his own thoughts.

I fixed an error that Strike and Aegis were 'recaptured' during the Battle of London in Paul's verse. In truth OMNI has most of their gundams in Paul's verse.

I added in some minor other stuff that most people probably don't care about. However if we do finish this I want to be at least somewhat coherent. My biggest mistakes so far have not been writing down the names of some pilots and crew members in the OOC. Like having Yuri's name as Boris or the other way around. So to fix that I listed Yuri's last name as Boris instead.

Indeed it will Zarkun. Hopefully it won't be that bad so we can finish up this chapter so we can finally introduce you. Regardless if you want something to do in the mean time feel free to read the first part of the story. It's not as good as it could be but it still is something.

I re-did some of Paul's and Lacus's dialogue from the initial post. Looking back I wished I made Paul come off as somewhat different. Of course it could just be Paul describing himself. I may re-do some of the first post later but I'd figured I'd at least say something due to dead in the water OOC conversation.

"Simple and easy to follow. I'll accept this contract...mercenary." Jason commented simply as he got up and breathed in deeply, "Now that we ALL have an accord let's get things down to business." Jason motioned to one of his soldiers as they brought him forth a map of one of the upper levels of the Sundown. "Alright then as for rooming accommodations. To restructure things Miss Reve will be staying with Stella Loussier, Donna, and Saturnalia. In this room." Jason said pointing out a small room towards the corner of the hallway. "Of course this is considering the fact that Stella is able to function properly after her ordeals." Jason commented sympathetically towards the not-present Stella. "Gabriel Cross will be rooming with Graham Aker, and Mr. Leo over there." Jason pointed out noting that he was moving Gabriel and Graham's room to the room formerly occupied by Omega Squad whom were MIA since this whole ordeal started. "Puru will be rooming with my communications officers like she is now. Miss Baker, Williams, and Mr. Axer." commented Jason as Graham smiled, "I'm good with these accommodations." Graham commented as Puru shrugged, "I'm fine with that too. Miss Baker owes me a bath anyways. She promised she'd take one with me!" Puru muttered as Paul rolled his eyes, "Really so that's what our military soldiers do in their off time?" Paul commented dryly.

"Oh don't act so uptight it's not like they're wasting your time. Besides Puru is a good girl and deserves to get a reward for her hard work today." Jason said as suddenly Grant Nimitz stood up, "Sir before this is all settled...I must inform you that this girl named Reve is capable of telepathic thought according to Gabriel. I find this whole circumstance strange that not two but three of these pilots using these 'GN Drives' or whatever they're called happened to show up in the same place near each other! Sir I-" Grant said as Jason held up his hand and Grant stopped mid sentence, "I thank you for this information Mr. Grant. HOWEVER what do you want me to do about this situation exactly?" Jason asked as Grant answered firmly, "Keep an eye on them!" Jason looked at Grant and nodded, "I shall but what do you want me to do otherwise? Imprison them? How will that solve anything now that they promised to help us? If they try anything in those suits they'll get gunned down by our own men. It's not like they have use of any weapons otherwise unless one of us slips up pretty badly and or are you forgetting we have cameras nearly everywhere on this ship? Don't patronize me Ensign I will not look like a hypocrite. These two will receive the same treatment as Miss Donna over there. Ah and when we're on that subject Miss Donna I want you to inform me what happened to you and SIGMA Team. SIGMA Leader you stay as well all of you dismissed. Miss Reve and Mr. Leo will be escorted to their rooms by Ensign Grant and Conscript Captain Graham Aker. Now dismissed." Jason said as all of his troops saluted him with a firm "Yes sir!".

As Grant left the room with Reve they walked towards wherever Reve wanted to go to within reason of course. "You know I trust you as far as I could throw your mobile suit." Grant said quietly to Reve as they left the room. "I don't like people like you roaming around this ship it disrupts protocol. At least Puru will listen to us now where are we going exactly?" Grant said to Reve as he waited for he answer.

Paul got up and left the room but was stopped by Beta Leader, "What is it my friend?" Paul asked the older gentleman as they both left the room. "I want to talk to you about something can we walk together sir?" The large man asked Paul as he shrugged. "Sure no problem. I was just going to go to check on Raigo's repairs." Paul commented as Beta Leader chuckled. "You REALLY should spend more time having a breather Lieutenant. You work hard and that's the main reason people don't question you around here...that and you could kill us all probably. I've seen your hand to hand skills you're better than most people twice your age." Beta Leader said as Paul uncomfortably moved his hands about. The reason behind that wasn't something he was willing to share. Taking Paul's silence Beta Leader walked with the younger lad as he scratched his head absently. "We should go check out that Stella girl don't you think sir?" the elder man said to Paul as he looked to Beta Leader with confusion, "Why do you want to see her? I trust Wilbur will do what he needs to do. There's no point in hassling him or Stella. It may even complicate things more." Paul said as he remembered the tired look on Stella's face as he opened her cockpit. It wasn't pleasant noting he may have been forced to kill an OMNI Soldier today. "I think you should try to befriend her sir or at least make her feel more welcome. It was clear that guy Angelo was just using her today. I saw you try to defend her when Angelo took the first chance he got to try and silence her. Without question he betrayed his comrade. I know that's a sore spot for you too Lieutenant. And with Rowan dead, that guy Leo not being much of a smooth talker, and Reve being a sociopath it seems it is up to one of us. And seeing as you're both Gundam pilots you're the next best thing." Beta Leader said to his young comrade as Paul and he entered an elevator and Paul looked at Beta Leader with a smile and chuckled, "Oh yes indeed this will certainly get across something right? A sweaty man in a ZAFT Captain's space suit talking to a girl whom is being examined by the coldest doctor this side of the multiverse. That will make her feel welcome." Paul said as Beta Leader smiled, "Oh don't worry your mysterious pretty boy motif got you this far I'm sure it will get you a friendship with Stella." Beta said back to Paul and both of them smiled. "It's good to know I have someone to rely on. SIGMA Leader doesn't exactly bring along the thought of the military not being nice to people." Paul said as Beta Leader agreed. They'd heard of the man's feats in battle and how he was one of the top pilots in the OMNI Military. He had fought three enemy Gouf at the same time and killed them all but that seemed a bit far fetched to Paul. Then again...the story of how he got to this place today was a strange story all in it's own. "So Lieutenant sir where are you going anyways?" Beta Leader asked him as Paul grinned, "Oh I'm just going to see Stella and talk to her some if Wilbur would let me. Truth be told what I told you about Raigo...it was a lie." Paul grinned as the elevator stopped and he left it followed by Beta Leader.

"So is that really what you believe in?" Graham asked Leo as the two of them left the room. Graham had his hands in his pockets as the two walked up the staircase. "Before you ask, I'm not going to lecture you about your ideals like the others may. I'm a warrior, a soldier of honor and pride. I thrive on battling others and challenging my own instincts, Gundam." Graham commented towards Leo as the two went upstairs towards their room. "But if you don't mind me asking you something I'd like to ask you this: What exactly do you fight for? Just for battle? Just for glory? Or is there something else in you that causes your flames and your heart to race?" Graham questioned inquisitively and casually. His blue eyes didn't judge Leo nor did they question him in the very least when Graham looked at him but then turned his head forward again after asking him that.

"So captain what is it you need us for exactly?" SIGMA Leader asked of Jason whom sat in his chair. "Tell me what exactly happened in your battle? I heard you fought an ORB Suit.." Jason said simply to Donna. "I want to know who did it...and did you notice anything off about this specific man." Jason asked as SIGMA shrugged, "Gold suit, looked like a gundam model. Donna would know more than I." Jason turned to the young girl and looked at her. "So? What happened Miss Donna? I'd like to know anything."

"Gah...guards!" Jason said in annoyance as the soldiers blocked the pathway out of the room. "Miss Reve you have yet to receive your room accommodations and you will be allowed to see Nena Trintiy with time. However you are to not leave this room until we have the room scheduling down AND everything is sorted out or I give you the go ahead to leave. Allowing you to see Miss Trinity is a magnanimous gesture by my own counting since she is a prisoner and we haven't even let Saturnalia question Trinity. However With the death of Miss Peacecraft, and the loss of some of our own soldiers we need to restructure who is sleeping in the same room with who. After that I'll assign Squad Captain Grant to give you a ticket to Nena. But first....Mr. Leo...you still haven't answered me question. Are you with us or are you leaving this ship? I believe it will be the former but in the end it is your choice." Jason said firmly as he tapped the table in front of him as he waited for his answer from the man in question.

"Conflicted? I have no problem with gunning people down if needed. It's the unneeded killing that-" Paul was stopped by Jason whom held up his hand, "Let me explain my lieutenant's nature and argument for you Mr. Leo. While you have a perfectly reasonable mentality Mr. Leo, it is admittedly the mentality of most ancient warriors noble and proud as they were, but in my opinion it is indeed shorted sighted. But if you see yourself as a murderer nothing more and nothing less then you have lost a large bit of the respect I had for your abilities to put Angelo away like you did. As well as the respect you had for helping save Stella. When you get an order to murder a person it is your right, and duty, as a human to question if you're doing is right. There are times when you need to fold your cards so to speak in a situation and there are times when you need to play them. What happened today was a occasion where my men went in with orders to kill sparingly and show a strong power base towards Angelo.

"The intention for the assault on Angelo was for Angelo to be scared off and disabled from attacking us further. What happened was a full blown massacre that was forced on us as a group because the men following Angelo were loyal and or fanatical to his cause. Of course there are good sides to this we rescued Stella Loussier, a fellow OMNI Soldier, and we prevented needless sacrificing of our lieutenant's life..." Jason said as he gave a frown towards Paul who cringed inside. "And we also forced Angelo away permenantly. It is also possible we could gain an ally in you Mr. Leo. Your skills are good and you seem to be reasonable man But first I need to get something off my chest: I understand that you don't know my men and we don't know you but I assure you that Lieutenant Paul, Ensign Grant, and the captains of my infantry squads have all done their fair share of kill shots willingly without even questioning why in the midst of combat. However all of the soldiers whom serve under me understand that you need to have restraint Without restraint bad things happen. If you believe the murder of innocent lives preferable than by all means continue thinking that. War is hell but one should never lose sight of the people that men like us are meant to be protecting. Regardless of mine own beliefs and yours, I apologize if I offended you in anyway but it is what it is and I will not concede anything further. I need to stick up for my men I'm sure you understand that...Also I hope you're a bit more aware of the fact that Paul has a pistol in his hand correct? I'd personally not want to make fun of a guy with a loaded hand gun. Now if you would put that away Lieutenant..." Jason said as Paul nodded and put it away. He didn't like that he had to do so and it was clear this man would be no friend of Paul's but if the orders came from Jason then Paul would follow it to the end.

"Now with that ugliness is out of the way Reve...I will allow you freedom in what you do in combat, within reason that is I can't let you go charging into blow our cover in the middle of an sneak attack, and I will grant you freedom to work on your suit with the concession that you will eat in your assigned room and not bother Puru. Likewise Puru you are not allowed to antagonize Reve if she does choose to agree to what I have offered....I'm a high ranking military commander and I sound like I'm disciplining school children." Jason said as he laughed to himself understanding the ridiculous nature of what he just said and how he had shifted from philosophical soldier to middle school teacher in less than a moment's notice."Also medical bay access without clearance and the same goes for the bridge..." Jason said all to seriously as Puru mumbled that she'd do as Jason asked.
