"Wait I'm your friend! Neat! I don't gotta lot of friends really besides Judau and some of the crew of the Argama. Well I'm glad to be your friend Donna!" Puru said cheerfully as Paul looked over to her with a raised eye. "So that's what I got to look forward to when I have kids?" Paul asked as he took another sip of water. "I just said you could take a seat you don't need to ask my permission to sit down in the ship's cafeteria." Paul grumbled as he sipped his water again and Puru sat down snuggling next to Donna. "Well I suppose since we're alone I could tell you my actual name. Not sure if you haven't heard it already. My name is Paul. Lieutenant Paul Lyons to be exact. That's what I've been since I was old enough to curse." Paul grumpily said as he looked at Puru smiling at him. He could feel her happiness. Somewhat sick considering the people who had died just moments ago at their hands but Puru wasn't one to think about things like that. Besides they attacked them first...right? "I don't suppose you're here to lament the fact that today was a slaughter? Come here for a bite to eat? I'm not trying to bring down the mood. I just hate missions like this. Make me feel less like a man and more like a 'proper soldier' like Lao...no need to understand who that is just suffice to say he's a maniac with no intention of changing." Paul questioned as he wiped some water off of his lip and sighed. "Holy fuck I'm a kill joy." Paul said chuckling sourly as he looked at the table. "You ok Lieutenant sir? You don't look so good and you sound bitter. You're normally a lot more professional." Puru said to Paul who grunted indifferently.

Man I just can't stick with a DND Group. I'm aware I feel pushy at times but I never intend to push anyone into doing anything. I'm just feeling so dejected at this point.

In general I've given up play by post roleplaying. I only check on occasion due to how NO ONE commits to forum posting in my over ten years of experience.

Should I just assume this is dead again?
I'll get a post up later tonight. As it is I've been doing a lot of stuff for a bunch of roleplays and things in real life.

"The day after tomorrow Fukusho. You may be ninja now but I intend to work you hard today so I'll give you three the day off." Nara said before looking at Kuro who shook his head and tapped his foot. "Alright kids let's get moving we're heading to the forest borders to see how well you can do somethings." Akihiko left it at that and turned on his heel to leave the room and was followed quickly by Kuro who grabbed at his shirt in an attempt to quell his uneasy feeling in his gut. It wasn't that he was nervous so much as he just wanted to get this whole ordeal over with. He had no interest in showing off his skills to his teacher but if he got stronger and better training from it what was there to complain about.
He wondered just exactly where they were going before Akihiko stopped suddenly half way down the hallway in order to say hello to a man in bright red clothes and a bright red headband. The man didn't carry the Leaf village symbol on him so he must have have come from another village or he was a spy. Either way Kuro didn't care about him so he waited for his sensei to stop talking with the man before he kept on going. The man didn't even blink and eye at any of them. "Don't worry about it just an old acquaintance nothing more." Akihiko said dismissing any thoughts or questions on the matter before the three left the Hokage's Palace and headed down to the gate.
After getting past Kenshin Uchiha at his post Akihiko led them to a small clearing in the middle of the woods where there was various evidence of training that had gone down here before. Akihiko looked around and chuckled as he reminisced about something. "You kids have it good in that the war has been over for a couple of years now. Back when I was a genin there use to be a lot of fighting between the villages." Akihiko said as he began to walk around the clearing and he stopped at a tree. He marked the tree with a circle and carved a spot in the middle and then did the same to a couple of more trees. "Let's start off with some basics show me how well you can throw those kunai at the trees."

Gerald looked at the fool for a moment before calmly replying, "No I do not speak Mabari and no I wasn't bitching at your dog. In fact the thing came over to me. I do know however Mabari are intelligent beasts and they can understand what we say just as good as most humans. I knew a mabari who could play chess once. Blasted thing beat a templar fool never got over it." Gerald said as he looked around once more before sighing, "No I am not interested in gathering herbs however if the leader wants me to do it, again, then I will. But I've already gathered enough herbs on our journey here to suffice for the journey through the roads. Blasted weeds are annoying to turn into poultice anyways."
"Scouting the woods? Wonderful...at least I suppose it keeps me away from that tunnel." Gerald grumbled as he turned back to look at the woods before suddenly being approached by the one who called himself Freddy...strange demented fellow with the brain of a something that liked to smash things. He had nothing especially against the fellow but he did feel uneasy being around him especially after he started to bark. "What is it that you need from me? I don't see any particular reason to be sitting down either get up and help search the blasted woods...if the leader says we do something we do it." Gerald said plainly not exactly enthusiastic about even being here. The thought of being in direct danger like this made him feel stupid.
Aaron said farewell to Joshua as he looked around to his other two companions. "So this is going to be our home for the next year or so? What do you guys think of it?" asked the two siblings as he looked around at the shanty town. "I think this place is a dumb personally but hey to each their own." Aaron said as he kicked a can into the air and into a garbage can. "Heck yeah one point!" Aaron fist pumped his hand in the air and grinned. "Personally I just want to get to the academy but hey it's always nice to stop for first impressions right?"
@SimplyJohnshould I just have Gerald wait around since he's not needed at the moment.
"Very well Zack you are dismissed. I trust you that you will make it back alive. Ylisse needs every person willing to defend it." Alexandra said as she got up to open the door for Zack and once he was let out the door closed just as quickly. The soldiers didn't even bid Zack a farewell.

It was a quick trip to the Inn to get Zaku who was indifferent towards the whole thing. While he'd prefer to go to Ferox he didn't exactly complain about going. The three of them got together and bought some healing supplies, some new camping equipment, and made sure they got their weapons looked at. As usual all of them were in working condition for the journey which was undoubtedly going to be bloody. On the way out however Isabelle couldn't help but feel that they were walking right into something bigger. But she didn't comment to it about to Jiro only Zaku who commented he had the same feeling.
After the group has left the gate they had taken along the road less traveled west towards Plegia. One of the gate guards informed one of the captured people had said they had set up a base in that general direction but he didn't know anymore or he was holding information from them. It would take longer to get more info out of him but Alexandra wanted the job done as soon as possible so she was not exactly unwilling to send people out in that general direction. "So does anyone have any fun trail stories to tell while walking?" Jiro asked as the group trudged around the dirt road. Isabelle trudged alongside him and Zaku brought up the rear of everyone. "I do hope they aren't stupid ones if you all do." Zaku said dully as he kicked a rock backwards. "You know I was expecting more talking from a group with over five people in it." Isabelle complained as she nearly tripped over her own dress.
