I'd personally just take one of the already made Astrays since they seemed rather good but it's all good here just remember that'd be a rather advanced piece of tech. My guy won't be the designated pilot for calamity off the bat himself since it is a OMNI Enforcer model.

Customization later will be allowed.

Also I decided to go with Calamity it's a good support unit despite it being grounded. It will prevent Richard from stealing spotlight from other characters. Also it's more or less was made in 71 and it is considerably less powerful than other suits such as say Justice or Akatsuki depending on the pilot. Orga was a boss.

Calamity was made from the designs of Buster gundam but it was made "In mid CE 71" so the time line fits. For the sake of convenience let's just assume it's just another model. If it is such a big deal to the others I will switch to Buster itself.

History: Richard was born in the Orb Union circa CE 50 to a construction worker named Thomas Stone and a office woman named Carla Wayne whom met many years before the events of The Blood Valentine War. What was once simple affection turned into love and produced young Richard Stone whom proved to be quite a handful to his parents almost immediately after his birth. He was always highly curious and very prone to laughing and he seemed to grasp concepts with startling quickness even as a baby when he was playing with his toys. His father treated him with much care and respect teaching him how a man should act and how he should treat others be they coordinator or natural. His mother was a bit more disrespectful towards Coordinators but taught him how to read and many stories from an early age. He grew up to be a rather friendly boy but had little friends due to the anti-social nature of most of his classmates. However he cherished what friends he did have and promised he'd be their friend forever no matter how hard they worked. His work ethic was mirrored after his father whom was a dedicated and hard working individual especially and told the boy, as well as passing down the thought, of never giving up unless you can't work anymore. His father wasn't anything special but he loved his son more than anything in the world. However the increasing amounts of disease amongst the naturals and coordinators caused a rift in his family as his friends started to head out into space. However tragedy struck his life as his mother died in a terrorist bombing in a city during a work trip just after a promotion. His father grew depressed and sent Richard away to be with his uncle Stan Stone in the ORB Union whom was working on top projects with ORB leaders. While the death of his mother hit him hard he stayed strong for his friends despite some of them leaving into space themselves. Life in ORB was much different and his uncle was a much less social man than him but he still loved the man as family. He stayed in the capital of ORB for a long time and decided to make a career out of being a ORB Military Officer after being finding he liked the place and officially became a citizen of ORB with his dad's approval and some strings pulled by his prestigious uncle. He trained as a soldier for a couple of years before being tested and deemed an extraordinary pilot with high potential. However the Bloody Valentine War ruined many fine places on Earth and Stan along with Richard were moved to Onogoro Island.
Other: He obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class after showing his ability with mobile suits.

◾"Todesblock" 337mm Plasma-Sabot Bazooka
A hand carried shell-based weaponry, it has a high rate of fire and causes serious damage and shock around the impact area.
◾"Schlag" 125mm High-Energy Long-Range Beam Cannon
The primary weapons of the Calamity are a pair of backpack-mounted Schlag beam cannons, which rise up over the shoulders. They have excellent rate of fire and destructive power, and are capable of easily destrying an enemy force from range.
◾"Scylla" 580mm Multi-Phase Energy Cannon
A high powered energy cannon mounted in the upper torso section of the Calamity. Based upon the same cannon incorporated into the GAT-X303 Aegis, it can deal serious destruction to anything that gets in the Calamity's path with a single salvo. It can be used to discourage enemy units from closing in and is often used in conjunction with Calamity's other weapons for a pure destructive barrage.
◾Anti-beam Shield
Attached to the left hand, the shield is made out of materials derived from the outer armor of spaceships like the Laurasia class. As a result, it is light yet superhard. In addition, its surface has been given anti-beam treatment and the sharp tip can be used as a weapon during close combat.
◾"Kaefer Zwei" 2-barrel 115mm Ram Cannon
A second pair of beam cannons that is mounted on the shield, it also has an excellent rate of fire.

Kray is correct only generation one suits at the start of this roleplay. Maybe later but I doubt it the Freedom is rather OP when it's not used by Kira. Because you know just spam and kill EVERYTHING within the next battlefield radius.

Prologue - The Bloody Day
Chapter 1 - What Remains After That Cold Fateful Day

It is the year 71 of the Cosmic Era: Tensions are mounting between Earth and the ZAFT organization. Due to the Bloody Valentine Tragedy, these tensions suddenly escalated into a full-scale war between both ZAFT and OMNI Enforcer. It seemed a foregone conclusion that the Earth Forces, with its superior numbers, would be victorious. But these initial assessments proved to be false: almost 11 months have passed since the conflict began... with no end in sight. The escalating conflict has caused endless strife amongst the populaces of both sides with the exploitation of coordinators being a major point in this war. Most coordinators look down on the naturals whom 'plague' the Earth while the coordinators are being discriminated against for not being 'purely bred'. It is these discriminations that continue to fuel the war while other factors play tribute it is mostly a war of discrimination. However a number of elite pilots have been chosen by ZAFT and OMNI Enforcer alike, for one goal: Destroy the other side. With tensions running high Earth Alliance has been working with the neutral faction known as ORB...or at least a part of it to develop mobile suits to defend Earth against the invaders.

ORB Senior Leader Richard Preston has openly given free access to Coordinators and with their abundance of resources have made it a very popular escape for people of all colors, races, and genetic types. However ORB itself is considered a free nation and a neutral one on top of that and has actively opposed to the militant counterparts in ZAFT and OMNI. However things seem to be pulling ORB Into the crossfire as news of the attacks near Helioplis are heard on Onogoro Island where a ORB military outpost is stationed ready to guard against the war. There is a small city also on the island making it an important location for ORB. The secret shared by the rogue ORB faction and their OMNI Enforcer allies are about to come to ahead. However something is about to happen there that will change the face of the Bloody Valentine War forever..

The bright sunny day was as clear and as beautiful as always. It was his day off at the military base and Richard Stone was preparing to do his usual things he did when the day was off. Go out to eat with a couple of his fellow soldiers. Richard was smiling at himself in the mirror as he tugged as his military coat. While it may be his day off he took pride in his appearance as a soldier for ORB. It was difficult to adjust to at first having to learn Japanese rather quickly but he had gotten use to it and it helped that many of the people here spoke English as well. It was that small comfort that had made him love this island so much. Of course his uncle was still a pain especially since he was off boozing nearly every night despite being a important scientist. It was like the man had a clockwork liver...Richard sighed deeply and shook off his thoughts about Uncle Stan and thoughts about his friends. Yuri Kobashi, Toyo Edo, and Satsuki Makunouchi were his closest friends and his most cherished companions in this city. The three had been transferred here around the same time and had been dubbed the misfits by their commanding officer Sendo Tachibana 'The Scourage of the East'. The nickname was given due to his overbearing attitude.

After quickly putting on his tie cap and spitting out the mouth wash he had been swishing around in his mouth he calmly walked out of the door after checking his cellphone for any messages from his friends. There were none so he decided that he would send one to them on the way there. Not that he expected a reply from Toyo...the lazy bastard was sometimes more trouble than he was worth.
