Just as humans grow and change with time, interests change as well. I wish I had the urge to roleplay like I used to...

"I'm fine she says but if someone took a closer look, they would see right through her. But I don't blame her, anyone would be in shock if a giant hyena suddenly popped from nowhere and started killing people around them them"

"That was what most adventurers call a gnoll. A hyena-like humanoid monster of average intelligence. They usually band up, form packs and attack wanderers or merchants, stealing anything they find and killing the victims in the process. Murderous thieves..." Trafalgar spits the last words out of his mouth, his anger clearly showing on his face. "If one of those is here then there must be more nearby. Gods know what will happen to this village..."

" I don't know where it went but it seemed furius..." was the only thing he could answer her. Truth be told, Trafalgar had no clue about what a gnoll would possibly want that would make it attack a populated area like Estermere.

He quickly followed the speedy elf downstairs and out of the tavern. What surprised him the most was the fact that she was more worried about her horse than herself, something he found remarkable even for an elf, who were known to be pretty close to animals.

Trafalgar quickly looked around him, spotting the thick wooden post where travelers who stopped to rest at the tavern tied their horses to and luckily for him, a stray horse was there, right next to where Corinne had left hers. It had no saddle and was thrassing around trying to free itself. Trafalgar quickly ran towards the horse, slowing down as he approached it so as to not agitate it more than it already was. "Here girl"(it was a female) "shh, calm down now" he said and surprisingly, it did.

He quickly climbed and sat on top of it and with one of his knives, cut the rope tying it to the pole. The horse started rearing and flailing its hoves and almost threw Trafalgar off but he managed to stay on it by tighty holding onto its neck and keeping his balance as much as he could. When it calmed down for good, Trafalgar kicked with his legs, sending the horse running towards the direction Corinne took.

It didn't take him long to reach her, "If i wanted to stay behind, I wouldn't have left the safety of my home to travel the world. This is what makes this life worth living!" he shouted, laughing as he passed Corinne, following the trail of destruction left behind by the gnoll.

At the end of the trail layed the body of the monster and next to it stood a very familiar figure.

"What the... Is that...Elric?!", Heeeey he shouted and waved his arms, trying to catch the barbers attention.

Trafalgar didn't have a chance to hear Corinne's answer; a huge hyena-like creature bursted through the wall and started wreacking havoc inside the tavern. "What the..." he thought as the monster growled and then, as in a frenzy, attacked anything that was nearby. An unfortunate man who didn't even have the chance to react got bit in half by the hyena.

Trafalgar quickly looked around him. The only visible exit was through the front door but the way was blocked. The previously filled with joy and lively atmosphere quicly turned into that of terror and panic as everyone tried to save themselves, some by trying to run away, some by hiding from the monster and others were just simply too drunk to even realize they were in danger.

"By Elandriel's name, right when I was about to finally get that drink..." he mumbled frustrated. Without much thought, he grabbed Corinnes hand and hastily made his way to the second floor. He hoped the beast wouldn't see them and follow. Fortunately for them, he made the right choice as he saw the monster busting through the walls of the tavern, heading for god knows where.

He turned around and let out a huge sigh of relief, he looked at Corinne, "are you alright?" He asked her.

Show chuckled at Riye trying to protect the job leaflet she had just picked out from him, like he was going to eat it or something. "Hey now, relax. Did you forget you were the one who asked me for help in the first place?" He asked her with a smile. Well, the job definitely suited her, as far as he could tell right away, she didn't have much combat experience and the magic she displayed earlier seemed more of a support-type of magic, not a combat-type one.

Sho hadn't really paid attention to the new arrival, a girl named Minerva Fair-something. Only when Maddox mentioned something about a challenge did Sho turn around and see her. "Hmm? Did I hear someone say challenge?" He asked curiously, looking once at Maddox and then at Minerva, "I'd love to take part in that!" He said and grinned, his fists coming together, signaling he was ready for anything.
Trafalgar bursted into laugher at the sight of Corinne almost choking on wine. "Well, you two are certainly two of the most interesting people I've met" he said and laughed once more, "and don't you doubt my vision. My eyes are as sharp as yours in the night you know, I know what i saw inside that forge" he said, continuing to joke with Corinne.

And there was definitely a storm brewing outside alright. With Elric standing up, Trafalgar stood up as well, "I'm definitely looking forward to continuing our little conversation" he replied to Elric with a little smirk forming on his face. He turned to Corinne, who was, in all honesty, at the same condition her uncle was some time earlier in the night, albeit she had a little more control over herself than her uncle. "Are you sure you won't need any help going back home?" He asked her.

"And don't worry about your uncle, if he doesn't wake up by the time the tavern closes down, I will keep an eye on him through the night. I don't really sleep that much anyway..." he added.
Gnol raiders. But, not before we finish our little conversation at the tavern ;)
