The molarity of pure water is 55.5 mol/L. Is it just me, or is that number super satisfying?

I find I'm much more productive when I make a list of check marks, then write whatever I end up doing next to them.

I'm a grammar communist. Everyone has a right to grammar in equal amounts.

I always either have lots of inspiration but no motivation, or tons of motivation and no inspiration. I'm not sure which sucks more.

“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. I mean everybody. All of the people in the whole world, I mean everybody — no matter how dull and boring they are on the outside. Inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds… Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands, maybe.”

@Rai so what do we do once our characters enter the portal? do we just get to go wherever looking for that treasure chest or do we have to fight the champion right away?
"I appreciate your flattery, but I promise you the spotlight does not suit me well at all. As for how you want to lose this next battle, I'm all too happy to oblige your wish if at any point you feel you can't go on." She smirked and rested a hand on the hilt of one of her swords for just a moment. Ryba nodded as Sahale introduced himself, bowing her head slightly in respect as she introduced herself in turn. "The pleasure is mine. My name is Ryba Krim."

She looked up at the sky as the battle notice was announced, smiling for a few seconds as she began to mentally prepare herself for the fight. "Hopefully this will give you a chance to see I'm more than a pretty face. See you in the Arena!" and with that she took off and entered the portal at the Arena's entrance.

Ryba stood on one of the many bridges in the city, leaning on the railing and looking out at the cliffs and buildings built so precariously into them. From this high up, you could just barely see a flash of red in the waters below- the only thing she could see of herself in the waving reflections they cast. The sun was shining brightly over the town, and in the relative peace outside of the arena- things were calm. In other words, it was a beautiful day for a fight.

She pushed herself away from the railing after what felt like an hour. She didn't exactly have anywhere she had to be, yet. But it was always a good idea to keep moving, even if where you were going wasn't all that important. She passed by the weapons shop as a crowd was gathering around the bulletins nearby. She'd heard the announcement but hadn't paid attention apparently. The New champion was accepting challengers, and even encouraging them?

"A bold one, it seems." She mused, mostly to herself as she noticed two others nearby getting into a spat, and then a third coming over to ask who would be competing in the next matches.

"Why not?" She started, shrugging her shoulders as she spoke up. "It is only for a title though. Hardly something to get huffy about." She smirked as the Oro woman walked off, muttering to herself.

Ryba turned back to the two men after the other woman was out of sight, a coy look still on her face. "Be that as it may, I'd be willing to bet I'll last longer in a fight than her. Where I'm from, insisting on how great it is to be a "Pure blood" usually only means that you don't have any good qualities or useful skills."

Kay Clarke
New Orleans, Louisiana - Willie Mae's Scotch House

As Daichi approached the table alongside a dark-haired young woman who must be Katie Bastion, Kay tried to smile extra welcomingly. "Yeah that's me: Kay Clarke, nerd extraordinaire." She laughed at her own joke as the two sat down, and continued to smile respectfully as Kirk introduced himself to the three of them as well.

Hmm. Am I smiling too much?

Nah.

She listened to Kirk explain how baked chicken and cornbread sounded delicious, especially with how he thought so highly of the restaurant's methods, and made up her mind that yes, she was coming back here outside of work at some point.

She paused to think for a moment about how to handle this as he switched the topic back to their reason for being at the same table together. Honesty is best...

"You're observant," She started, winking as she made a finger-gun motion at Kirk. "That's a good thing to be." She let the statement hang in silence for a moment before deciding it was too rude to just leave it at that.

"And, I suppose... It's not exactly classified that a new rift has opened in the area, considering the news coverage it got. It's more a matter of us not wanting to be swamped by reporters before we even get there to check it out. So," She motioned as if she were zipping her mouth shut, "You'll just have to help us keep that little secret now."

After a minute, she glanced over at the restaurant's entrance before directing a question at Daichi and Katie. "Neither of you happened to see Elise- or Lizzie- on your way here, did you?"
