Stop being passive aggressive. Just be aggressive.

It is certainly not 'optimal', but it *is* doable, depending on what you want to do with it. You could go swords or valor bard and play them more like a warrior with some magical ability

One might say your villain arc has begun. Embrace it.
Emil's jaw nearly dropped when the sage named her price. Fifty Thousand coins each? The amount of money she had just offered the group of them was... significant to say the least- more than enough to make even Edessa's king turn his head, not to mention the extra bounty she placed on each 'head' of a mage. Emil shuddered at that thought. The idea of tearing a head off of a corpse, and then carrying it around for extra money was bloody, to say the least.
Despite the quietness of her walk, Emil's peripherals were very well aware of the large beastkin walking around the table and his direction. Visibly stiffening as the beast approached him, his hands twitched, clenching for a moment on the table, before relaxing. As much as the beastkin Sakaala unnerved him, if she truly wanted him dead at the moment, Emil reasoned, there was little he could do about it- she was standing behind him, just out of arms reach, but close enough, and he was sat at the table with his sword unable to be drawn fast enough to outmaneuver a swipe from the beastkin's massive paws.
When Ionathan came to his rescue, to to speak, Emil relaxed, his shoulders dropping to a slight slump. "The honor is mine," Emil replied genuinely, in a quiet voice. "Truth be told, I think the offer almost too good, but perhaps I am not properly gauging the gravity of this task." He added, confiding in the older knight.
After a moment of hesitation, Emil too spoke up. "As will I, Lady Genevieve." he said, adding his pledge alongside Ionathan's.
Age: 22 Part Time Job: Springdale Records - Monday, Wednesday 4pm-9pm $10/Hour** Major: Kinesiology - Currently attending school on an athletics scholarship for soccer. Money: $2200*** - Currently earning 100 a week from part time work.
Residence: A small loft apartment just off campus. 2-bed 2-bath apartment with his older sister.
Family:
Rei Nakaumura - Mother, 49, Nurse
Jerry Kensington - Father, 62, U.S. Marines (Retired)
Mariko Kensington - Sister, 26, Graduate Student - Works as an Undergraduate Professor at Arcadia U.
Hobbies:
Music - Having picked up the guitar a year back, Takahiro enjoys playing music and jamming, and while not a masterful performer by any definition, he knows his way around chords well enough to play by a campfire. He has also professed to thoroughly enjoying karaoke.
Sports - Attending school on an athletics scholarship, it'd only be natural that he showed some vested interest towards sports. His primary sport is soccer, but he also enjoys casual games of volleyball and swimming.
Model Kits - Despite not being much of a gamer, nor having a lot of time for TV, Takahiro avidly purchases and collects model kits. His current favorites are a line of Mecha kits from the popular TV anime series "Falling Skies" (Shameless self-plug. forgive me pls).
Aspirations: With little drive or direction in life, Takahiro isn't absolutely sure of what he wants other than to live a full, fun life. A career in professional sports has piqued his interests, and tentative talks with talent scouts have implied that this may be within his grasp. However, he has also expressed the desire to help people, and has made toyed with the idea of becoming an EMT after graduation, similar to his mother.
Fears: Takahiro rarely expresses it, but has a fear of being alone. This does not necessarily mean physically alone- or else he'd end up a hopeless wreck every night, but rather the idea of being isolated or alienated from others and those he cares about. The strength of this fear results in Takahiro being fiercely protective of his close friends and family, occasionally jumping to aggression when those around him are distressed.
4 Positive Trails and 1 Negative Trait: + Athletic - Having entered Arcadia Academy on a scholarship for soccer, it is no surprise that Takahiro is rather athletic. In good shape, and with plenty of stamina, Takahiro has the strength and endurance necessary to propel himself into the coveted starting positions of the Academy Soccer team. + Even-Tempered - Cool and collected, Takahiro handles stressful situations with ease, and is often unfazed by hardships. He is capable of thinking logically even during times of panic and distress. The only time his temper snaps is when family and close friends are directly threatened. + Social - Thanks to the popularity of his position on the soccer team, Takahiro is a relatively known face throughout campus, and can often leverage this to his advantage. + Easygoing - Slow to anger, Takahiro gets along relatively well with others, or at the very least rarely steps on the toes of others. While not the most outgoing or friendly person, Takahiro rarely levels insults at others or tries to antagonize them. - Lazy - While by no means stupid, Takahiro is notoriously lazy. Unstudious and lacking drive, its a wonder how Takahiro manages to squeeze by to maintain the grades necessary to keep his scholarship.
* - "K-Ton" is the nickname given to Takahiro by his soccer-team, and many on campus know him as K-Ton. Older friends (IE the players), would have likely known him as "Taka" before he became "K-Ton" ** - Based off of hourly wage in DC, which is where I live/attend school. *** - Using own personal funds level to gauge appropriate amounts of munnies in da bank. In other news, I feel strange not writing the essays of descriptive text I usually do. But this isn't our first rodeo together my dear Genkai, so I trust you'll not find me to be an ultra-n00b-skrubmaster, and call me out on any discrepancies you may find.
Was also tempted to give him the nickname "T.K." because I absolutely love that nickname/reference to digimon. But I decided against it. Kensington was the name of one of the guys in my squad, and we had at one point given him the nickname 'K-Ton', which I thought was pretty cool, so I decided to bring it over to RPG.
What's a good number for money...? Like... Do we count parents sending money for school? Money purely from part time work? Savings from previous years? Would it be a stretch to say something like $2500? (Because that's what I'm sitting on IRL as far as my university money goes)
Hopefully the internship is a fruitful one! You're welcome to join, and maybe this can be the enticing RP that gets many of us back into the swing of things!
I had actually been wondering the same thing since, when I re-read the lore in the opening OOC for the unpteenth time, I noticed it said all 101st pilots received training in advanced infantry tactics
That's for situations like Reaper, Princess and Hex are currently in right now- Running around without a MAS. Not the ideal situation, but it can happen, and when it does, yall will know how to do the thing.
