Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I thought it would help keep people from wanting to do infighting heroes. ^^;
That's why I'm saying that villains are a second character made by people already playing a hero, so we don't just have people coming in to sign up as only villains.
Like I said, um, I think having player villains would help a lot.

Sounds good, accepted.With the whole hero conflict thing, I didn't mean that they would start fighting, I just figured that there might be some misunderstandings that lead to fights. I mean, my character looks like a demon and that could cause him some trouble. In reality, I want the characters to team up basically by circumstance to fight off whatever happens at night, So really, there won't be any unless someone really wants one... Also, in regards to the multiple villain thing, they're teaming up for the same goal in the end. They'll kind of end up coming out one at a time so it'll be easy enough to deal with, I think.

The thing is that with the characters as the are now there's going to be a lot more than just conflicts. Not all of them, but one thinks all crimes should be punishable by death, and one being introduced who will fight all the other heroes if they try to fight the villains.

I honestly feel introducing player villains would help dial back a desire for the heroes to fight one another.
I'm... maybe interested. Maybe.
Um, sorry, I've been lagging behind a bit on the list. I'll get it updated soon.

Also, if we don't get all the girls showing up soon, I'll just continue. They can show up later, it's fine.
Okay, um...

I still really want to join this RP but I have some things to say. Conflicts between heroes is fine, but I also don't think they should be there to the point that it's incredibly obstructive to the rest of the RP. Someone who fights the other characters every time they try to take down villains I honestly feel would be a bit of a pain. I don't see why a character couldn't have a less extreme version of this. I would honestly get tired if every time I had my character fighting a villain another hero showed up to stop her. Especially when the villains are violent alien invaders or something like that. Maybe when they're more sympathetic or something, but, um... I don't even mind occasional fights breaking out but it shouldn't be a regular thing.

I also think overplanning is a bit of a danger, and making sure you have unique villain figures is fun but is also a lot of work, especially for a first-time GM. I do have a suggestion in mind to remedy this, but it's one of those things that would need to be carefully regulated in order to work since...

Sometimes people abuse being able to play villains and make kind of unfitting overly-dark characters.

But it can also make for dynamic villains that the GM doesn't have to play.

Perhaps you could make it so players MUST sign up as a hero before signing up as a villain?

... And I'll emphasize the HERO part, even if they're kind of antiheroic they shouldn't basically be a villain calling themselves a hero or something.
That's fine.
There's still spaces.

@The 42nd Gecko: I'm sorry, but I honestly don't think your character would fit at all. The lack of flight would make her inneffective against the Nephilim, and while I hardly mind a MagiGear that covers most of their body(really, it's just hard to find pictures for that), they still have to have the "mecha musume" feel. On top of that, none of her weapons have the trait(magitech) needed to hurt a Nephilim.

@Titianna: Your magigear picture isn't working. ^^;
Appearance: Dresses something like this, same colors as well.
Name: Yukiko Suehara
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Personality: Yukiko is supremely confident with herself. She is an energetic and eager girl, with boundless levels of unstoppable enthusiasm. She is extremely cheerful and friendly, desiring to talk to just about everyone she meets. Yukiko could easily be referred to as "hotblooded", and she has an extremely strong sense of justice and desire to protect people who need it. Some people would probably be inclined to call her an idiot, as she's not that great in school, kind of impatient, and tends to charge into things believing her spirit will see her through no matter what. However, she's not actually stupid, more just boasting a total lack of common sense and studying. However, Yukiko feels that "You don't need common sense when you've got HARD WORK AND GUTS!" Yukiko loves food and eats quite a bit, likely to fuel her highly energetic lifestyle. She also likes things like Kamen Rider, hotblooded mecha anime, and hotblooded magical girl anime. Anything hotblooded and action-packed, really.
Hero Appearance: Hairstyle is more like this in her usual form too. The armor is pink and black,
Hero name: Buster Girl
Powers: After activating Final Trigger, Yukiko's body is covered in an armor called Buster Gear. This armor enhances her physical strength to a high degree, allowing her to dent metal and fracture concrete with her punches and kicks. It also protects her body, rendering bullets ineffective and rendering her far more durable. Yukiko also gains the ability to project beams of rather pink energy from the palms of her hands, and the capability to initiate finishers. As each finisher is initiated, Final Trigger declares "Last One". As of now, Yukiko only knows how to perform two finishers. Buster Beam, which fires a thick blast of energy from her right palm, and Buster Punch, an extremely powerful impact-based finisher using her fist.
Transforming item: Final Trigger, a belt that activates when Yukiko puts it on and cries out "Transform!"
History: Yukiko's father passed away when she was very young, leading to her being raised solely by her Mother for almost her entire life. Her Mother, however, was and still is quite a good parent. She was, and still is, also a massive fan of... well, just about anything filled with lots of shouting and hotblooded action. This resulted in Yukiko growing up surrounded by such things, and enthralled with them just like her Mother. This also lead to an extremely good relationship with her Mother, even though she's rather busy do to work and a few other things. Yukiko's desire to be a "HERO OF JUSTICE" has lasted almost her entire life. Even as a little girl she tried to fight bullies, and still feels that way today. As a result, she takes martial arts lessons, since childhood, in a bid to be able to fight for justice. Yukiko discovered the Final Trigger in the aftermath of what looked like it might have been a fight, and was rather surprised when it attached itself to her waist. After discovering what it did, Yukiko unhesitatingly became a hero of justice.
