Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I recently got DoW and I love the Sisters of Battle because flamethrowing space nuns. On another note, I think I might be revealing where the unfortunate teleporters are coming from and give Blake and Company a... new friend. <.< >.>
I think I'll point out that Shadow Eternity's current attacks on a UMMA ship and Yggdrasil are weird and uncommon, this isn't something that happens normally and we won't be seeing it too much with the exception of important, major events. In fact, there's a reason that they're using teleportation to get on the Tanngrisnir, and it's because the ship would trash most of theirs if they tried regular boarding. As for Yggdrasil, well, it was not easy for them to get on there at all. Also Suwako's comment is going to be hilarious when we find out what's actually down there. Not that it's wrong, the power being radiated is pretty oppressive, but I think it'll be a break from the weird creepiness of that particular scene and also some non-fighty plot. <.< >.>
Ideally I'll do it tomorrow, though I have some college work to handle tomorrow as well. Um, right now it's past my "do GM things" time so yeah. ^^;
... On other matters I think I should attend to, I'm beginning to think that unless Blue shows up again I need to excuse Shadow Eternity leaving the Mushroom Kingdom. It was fine when they had player defense, but one of the things I'm very against in crossovers is "destroy lighthearted universes to show how evil the bad guys are". Since honestly there's plenty of ways to do that without dipping into that territory and I have... bad experiences with people doing that to say the least.
Well yeah, they won't last the whole RP. I'm planning on ending them in not too long as long as I can make it make sense.
I figured, yeah. ^^; The current conflicts will only last so long, as well.
Huh. She still looked pretty Black-white to me there. ^^; But yeah, Marisa's hardly Shadow Eternity(she'd disapprove of them if she paid any attention). She will cause plenty of shenanigans, though.
Huh, everything recent I saw she looked plenty black-white... In any case, she's heading for... Possibly giving the Macross world a visit. <.< >.> Also for some reason I see her as short and small.
Nope! She has canonically accumulated so much junk in her house from theft she doesn't even know what half of the things she has are. And she steals books and stuff. A lot.
  • Name: Kirisame Marisa
  • Age: 16
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: A perfectly ordinary witch. Also like 4'9
  • Canon, AU, or OC?: Canon
  • Universe of Origin: Touhou Project
  • Personality: Kirisame Marisa is a frequent liar and kleptomaniac. She'll steal anything that looks interesting or useful, provided it's not nailed down, and she'll even steal abilities from people she's met. She's also nearly always cheerful, always interested in a fight, friendly or otherwise, and an incredibly hard worker. To master the magic she has, she needed to train for a very long time. For some reason she doesn't like talking about how hard she works, but it's likely that most of her life was spent doing so. Marisa is also very proud of being the "Second best in Gensokyo" to Reimu, as well as being a good thief.
  • Abilities/Weapons: Capable of flight and danmaku use, spellcards listed here. She's also a pretty fancy thief, and carries around what's known as the mini-hakkero for doing magic. Her biggest, hardest hitting spells are all variants on "Master Spark", a massive beam of magic. Danmaku is non-lethal but can damage objects, but lethal versions of some spells are possible.
  • Backstory: Marisa is a proud incident-resolver of Gensokyo, and has participated in the resolution of various incidents. After finding a gate in her closet, she realized she could pass back and fourth between universes. Studying this, she discovered a modification to her base Master Spark could open up portals, and promptly decided to make ventures into the multiverse to steal things and have fun.
  • Faction: Factionless.
