Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

I always go for casual, but that's just me really.
Tanya sighed. Seriously? That was what the Nem wanted to know about the dungeon? After the explanation she had gotten? It wasn't as if Tanya particularly cared for magic, though her armor and blade bore enchantments woven into their being she did not practice it herself. But she had at least expected some kind of questioning of what was down there or something. It was so... so simple-minded!

... Whatever... The Nem had cooked a sizable meal for them and Tanya was equipped to store whatever they could not eat. "We will eat whatever we pack with us, if we are down there long enough to require a meal."

There, that should have answered the question. In terms of the rest of the conversation, well... Tanya could give less of a damn about how the Mad King had escaped death. She wasn't exactly up to date on magical immortality or whatever it was, anyway. Her duty was a simple one, to find the insane former king and slay him if he was alive. Or undead. Moreso if he was undead, to be frank, there was no way he would not be one of the malevolent ones.

She unpacked her utensils and swiftly carved herself a nice piece of boar, settling in to eat.

---

After everyone had eaten their fill and the remainder of the boar had been packed away, the journey to the Prison-Castle had begun. It was rather uneventful, crossing wooded areas and plains and a small stream, before at last the crumbling tower was visible in the distance. It had taken hours, but now they had reached their destination.

The walls were crumbling ruins. Certainly, no-one would have any trouble entering the Prison-Castle now, to say the least. Moss and vines clung to the ruined masonry. The tower itself was a wreck, half of it had toppled to the ground at some point and all that remained was scattered stone choked with vegetation. Even what remained of the tower was worn away and heavily damaged, and covered in moss and lichen. Tanya approached the walls, looking up at it for a moment.

"Well, this is more of a trash heap then I even expected..." she said, folding her arms, before turning to face her party. "Supposedly the entrance is on the north side. If it hasn't crumbled away into ruin, at least."
I'll mention again that you're accepted in case you missed it, @Art of Fun.

Also, I'd like to remind everyone to move your bio to the characters tab once they're accepted.
Name: Hirayama Chinatsu

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: "Even trash can become something more."

Personality: Chinatsu is deeply stern and domineering. She views all those who do not follow her iron-fisted rule as trash. However, if trash dedicates itself to loyalty and order, it can rise beyond being trash in her eyes. She is not above promising privileges to those who show her loyalty and uphold order. Indeed, she has based the entire hierarchy of Sengoku High School around this ideal. Those most loyal to her, most trusted, are the ones who earn themselves the most power and seats on the student council. She is distant and unapproachable, instilling harsh punishments to rulebreakers and captured delinquents. Very few know anything about the inner workings of her mind.

Brief History: Hirayama Chinatsu has extensive financial backing and appears to have simply made her way to the top of Sengoku's Hierarchy. Only those closest to her truly know anything more.

Weapons: Chinatsu wields what at first appears to be an electric guitar, incredibly finely-crafted. However, when the guitar is played, it fires a masterwork katana known simply as Rei from itself. Rei is incredibly sharp and often seems to possess extreme amounts of power that any normal piece of matter should not be capable of possessing.

Abilities: No-one truly knows. Hirayama Chinatsu declines any attempts to challenge her to a duel and has never once been seen to fight in public.

Side?: Sengoku High School

Club(If Any): President of the Sengoku High School Student Council

Name: Fujioka Eiko

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Appearance: "Don't underestimate me."

Personality: Eiko is dedicated to not following the rules. Just about the only one she actually does follow is the whole "don't attack people during classes and don't attack defenseless teachers" thing. She seeks to violate just about every rule Sengoku has and get away with it. But more then that, she desires a personal duel with the President herself. She feels that her "Big Sis" left because of the School President's ironclad rule, and has never stopped desiring vengeance for this even if it's not exactly logical. She also deeply desires to be just as good a gang leader as "Big Sis", in spite of the fact that her gang is really rather small. Still, Eiko is filled with determination and a desire not to give up. She's hot-tempered and easily annoyed, with a soft spot for her gang members and a hard smack for anyone who ticks her off badly enough. She absolutely, absolutely refuses to compromise on anything with the loyal students of Sengoku High School, though she's softer on the ones who are just attending the school rather than actively showing their loyalty to the President.

Brief History: Eiko grew up on the Streets of Sengoku City. She joined a small gang, headed by a girl she thought was amazing and referred to as her "Big Sis". They spent years together on the streets, having what Eiko felt was the time of her life. She looked up to "Big Sis", so much so that she wanted to truly be one of the greatest delinquents possible. And then, a year ago, "Big Sis" suddenly left, leaving behind only the baseball bat she had used to cause quite a bit of havoc on the streets. She left it to Eiko, and indeed left the whole gang to her as well. Feeling confused, and angry, Eiko began to believe this was because of the School President. Deciding to live up to Big Sis's legacy, she took up the bat and choose to follow a path she believed would lead her to taking on Hirayama Chinatsu herself.

Weapons: Eiko wields what appears to be an ordinary Baseball Bat. However, it proves to be able to destroy tanks and take out chunks of concrete, as well as send those hit by it flying. In addition there is a thin slit running from the handle all the way up and down the other side of the bat, though there's no real telling what this does.

Abilities: Eiko is far, far faster and stronger then she appears, and can take on a tank by herself and win. However, she does not appear to have any specific power.

Side?: Delinquents

Club(If Any): N/A

"As President of Sengoku High School's Student Council, I ask you. What is it that makes a good school life?

Some of you would say friends, some would say simply the experience. Still others would insist it is studying. To me? It is order and loyalty. Loyalty to me, to your clubs, to the teachers at our glorious High School. Those who display this loyalty must also display a dedication to order, to keep their school life without disruption. Only those who show these traits can truly succeed in Sengoku High School, and excel from the lowest of ranks to the closest to the top as they are able. This is what a student of Sengoku should strive for. To be as such is to be a model student, and to lack these traits is to be lower than the dirt. But even the dirt can rise to become something more, and to rise from zero, from nothing but trash, to become a model student is something all of you should seek.

However, many of you do not seek this at all. Many of these "delinquents" roam this city and violate school rules. To call these people students is an error, and I refuse to allow them to be classed as such. For those who reject loyalty and order there can be nothing more than scorn!

Show your worth, students of Sengoku High School! Show that you are more than worthless trash!

Subdue these delinquents and show them what it means to be a high school student!"

---

"Eh, she's sure a stuck up bitch, isn't she?

Sure, we fight each other and all, but who the hell gives a crap? This is the kind of thing my gang was doing long before I was the leader! Who gives a damn about the rules, anyway? Pssh, loyalty and order, more like brainwashed and boring, am I right?! My ideal high school life doesn't have any of that bullshit in it! And it sure as hell doesn't have her! Well, we're gonna show 'em just who they're messing with! Sengoku City's gonna remember us as the ones who took that school down a peg! And hell, we're gonna enjoy it!

So, anyone who wants to teach that stuck up, smug, high-on-herself bitch a lesson can come with me and show all of 'em what a delinquent can really do!"

---

Sengoku City. The home of a high school ruled by its Student Council and Clubs, who stand above even its teachers in their hierarchy. To be a student at Sengoku is to prove you are not some worthless trash, to prove yourself worthy to the Student Council President. It can even earn you special privileges above and beyond even what the richest resident can obtain. In the words of the Student Council President herself, even rich trash is still trash, and there are some things only a truly loyal and orderly student deserves. Of course, not everyone can agree with her on this. Rumor has it that she even seeks to spread this across the country, to conquer rival schools all over Japan.

The delinquents of Sengoku City, even if they continue to attend its high school, reject all of this, all of the rules maintained by the Student Council. They refuse to show loyalty and order, and they sure as hell aren't going to respect what they see as the most arrogant and stuck-up girl ever to hold office as Student Council President.

Needless to say, there is a great deal of animosity between Sengoku High School and the delinquents. And this animosity has grew and grew until it has become more then just rivalry and has expanded to open warfare. The student council and its clubs versus the delinquents of the streets, in a clash to show whose way is the right way.

Whose side are you on?

---

Sengoku City High School: Ruled by its student council, and above all the student council president, Sengoku High School is regimented and deeply controlled, the President ensuring there is strict punishment for any broken rules. The council is deeply loyal to her, and the clubs follow the council's commands. Students who do not display the nature the President desires from those who attend Sengoku High School are treated as second-class citizens who are nothing but trash, but the rewards promised by her if they change their ways are always present. She assures all students that even trash can become something more. Sengoku High School itself is a massive building with vast school grounds, armed to the teeth with defensive batteries of turrets and missile launchers. Fighting from both sides is strictly prohibited during class time, and involving teachers who are not capable of combat by themselves is punishable by immediate expulsion from Sengoku City and possibly from life.
Rumor has it that the Student Council President has intentions to subjugate all schools across Japan, though no-one knows the reason why.

Delinquents: Various rule-breakers and gangs who don't show the kind of loyalty and dedication to order desired by the Student Council President. The opinion shared amongst them is that she is "kind of a stuck-up bitch". There is much less cohesion between the various delinquent groups, as various gangs often clash with one another. However, they all want a piece of the Student Council President, and at this time she has refused to personally duel any challengers, instead delegating the responsibility to one of the many students loyal to her. The delinquents and the loyal students often clash on the streets of Sengoku City, battling with all kinds of weaponry and abilities against one another.

Zero Pressure: What is "Zero Pressure"? Even amongst the loyal students of Sengoku City there are some questions. The science club seems to be deeply invested in researching it, but beyond that few people know. Delinquents want it, to take it away from Sengoku High School, and that's just about all anyone knows outside of the Student Council and the Science Club.

So, my intention for this RP is fairly simple.

I want something over-the-top and ridiculous. Realism has no place here, this is all about being as high-octane and ridiculous as possible. Tonally, I can describe it as something like Kill la Kill or Gurren Lagann, where the action is completely impossible and over-the-top and all the better for it. Naturally, things will progress beyond the more simple plotline described above, but at the beginning that's what we'll have.

---

Rules:
1. Follow all Guild Rules.
2. Just because this is over-the-top doesn't mean that you can godmod. I would like to know how you desire your characters weaponry and abilities to progress, even if it's privately messaged to me.
3. Logic and Reason have no place here. Feel free to break the laws of physics and violate logic if it's cool. This RP is all about that.
4. Grey Star will be my co-GM. She'll be handling signups along with me, as well as important NPCs and plot events.
5. Weapons and abilities can be as ridiculous as you want. Rocket-powered-pen lances? Guitars? Giant Scissors? Bladed Rulers? Giant Safety Pins? Calculators? It's all fine with me.
6. "Down on your knees like the dog you are! Show your loyalty you piece of trash! Sengoku High School has no place for people who won't obey their Student Council President!" Put this at the end of your signups to be accepted. The Student Council President does not approve of those who don't follow the rules.

---

As a quick note to anyone who may be in the other two RPs I am GMing: I am still GMing these, it's just that I felt I'd be capable of handling a third judging by the current pace and believed it would be nice to have a change of pace from those RP's.
