Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Tanya considered the suggestions for a moment. Stock was fairly simple, Tanya herself carried what she would need(her armor and weaponry was incredibly light in spite of appearances, allowing her to easily carry small supplies without much hassle), and she was sure everyone else had done the same. Of course, she was not completely used to travelling with bigger parties, the few times she had was for raids on slave-trading camps or destroying mass amounts of undead. Those times were short, and her companions were entirely Reon-aligned paladins or priestesses. Other times she had a travelling companion, but it was not quite like this. As for a formation...

"If you desire to line yourselves up in some asinine and rigid position, I'll hardly stop you," she remarked, shrugging her shoulders as she advanced towards the ruined tower. "I rather prefer the freedom to take whichever position a situation warrants. The only formation I'd ever suggest is those less suited to direct combat staying in back. Anything else is going to be unsatisfactory to someone."

That was the small paladin's opinion on that, at least. The words on the tower itself being full of entrances, well... it wasn't untrue. Tanya had naturally been inclined to look for a more direct entrance, but it would perhaps be more advisable to find a spot that may not be trapped... when the water mage mentioned the gap to the left, the small girl's purple eyes traveled to the spot she had indicated. Indeed, the hole seemed large enough to occupy any one of them.

Approaching it and peering inside, Tanya quickly found that it was so dark she could barely see. What she could see was that the entrance was further up, brighter then the darkness she was staring down into... and that the steps were quite steep, as it appeared that entering from this spot would lead to quite a drop. The air was musty and thick, and she could smell hints of a much fouler scent wafting from deeper in the prison-castle.

"Well, we could get in from here," began the purple-haired paladin as she leaned back out of the hole, "But unless we have some rope or, Reon's blessing, a ladder, you'd have to be an idiot to attempt the jump."
I'll probably be posting again tomorrow. I have a lot to do. ^^;
Yeeeep.

Chinatsu is basically pitting everyone against one another by saying only one person can get the rewards, as well. Aside from the student council since they're not exactly involved since they already know everything.
The GM works most of the day, I'm hoping that he'll get to it soon.
She wasn't being followed anymore... now was Eiko's chance! Charging ahead, she aimed right for the stadium's entrance. There was one more tank there, training its aim on her...

Like Hell!

The girl wound up with her bat...

---

In the stadium, there was still quite a bit of conversation among the students. However, that largely came to a stop when the bottom door of the tower opened. From within, a bright light seemed to radiate brilliantly, and a hush fell across many of the students in attendance. A figure was silhouetted in black in the light, but slowly, slowly, she emerged from it.

Hirayama Chinatsu's shoes clacked on the walkway as she strode towards her microphone. Her uniform, while it resembled the rather standard sailor uniforms that the girls wore, with their ribbons and skirts, was colored white and black. Upon her head sat a cap, resembling a naval officer's, and on top of that she wore a flowing cape. In her hand she clutched her guitar. To outsiders this may have made her seem like some kind of music enthusiast, but anyone who knew what the guitar stored knew better. Finally, she came to a halt near her microphone and placed the guitar in front of her, resting both hands on top of it.

The School Council President opened her mouth.

"Hear me, students of Sengoku City High School!" she declared, her voice ringing out across the stadium. Behind her, in the long seat, Akiko smiled.

"Today is a glorious day in your school lives, and a day for new challenges!" cried Chinatsu. How she was able to speak at such a loud, commanding volume and not annihilate her vocal cords was a mystery to some. As she opened her mouth to speak once more, however...

A dark shape rocketed over the side of the stadium wall! Flipping through the air, it became apparent exactly what it was, one of the tanks that had been guarding the school! From the looks of things, it was heading right for Chinatsu!

And yet, the dark-haired girl didn't move an inch. Akiko sat up in her seat, and let out a frantic cry of "Chinatsu-sama!"

The tank hit the ground and rolled, before slamming into the wall opposite of the one it had flown over with a resounding crack. Several students toppled forward and fell over the wall, to a rather painful and disorienting landing on top of the smoking wreck.

Standing beside the trail of destruction that the tank had wrought, Chinatsu stood firm. She had not budged an inch. Akiko slumped back in her seat, visibly relaxing at the sight of how the tank had missed, however narrowly. Chinatsu's eyes, however, hadn't even moved to follow the flying land vehicle to its destination.

They were fixed on the new arrival in the stadium.

"OI, BITCH!" cried Eiko, swinging her bat forward to point at the practically-glowing Student Council President, "I'm here to crash your shitty announcement and issue a challenge! Fight me, right here and now, and I'll show everyone what a weak bullshit dictator you really are!"

For a few moments, Chinatsu regarded Eiko. Then her mouth opened.

"Which brings me to my main point!" she declared, once again addressing the student body as a whole. Fuming at how sh was seemingly ignored, Eiko stepped closer, but the Student Council President didn't slow down.

"Loyal Students of Sengoku City High School!" said Chinatsu, "Do you desire to rise beyond trash and become something more?! If the garbage wishes to ascend, you have your opportunity to do so! It has come to my attention that many students desire to learn why I have instilled my will upon this school! Very well! Whichever of you defends me, proving yourself loyal, will become a new member of the student council with all that entails! You will learn everything there is to know about how I run this school! Only one of you may earn this privilege!"

Eiko raised an eyebrow. "Ehhh? What the hell is she-"

"Delinquents of Sengoku City!" declared Chinatsu. "Many of you, too, wish to know my reasons! If one of you can defeat every layer of protection I have, you earn the right to duel me! If I am defeated, I will tell you the truth! Only one of you may gain this privilege!"

The black-haired girl looked around the stadium for a moment, before continuing. "You may pursue these goals, loyal students and garbage of the streets, however you wish as of tomorrow! This is the word of the Student Council President!"

Eiko stared, blankly. "What... the..."
@Nerevarine: Accepted.

@SgtEasy: Okay, even ignoring what I consider kind of questionable in terms of his history and stuff given what I know about 40k and what friends have told me...

He has a bunch of powers that are impossible to defend against, some which are literally see into the future which is almost always bad in RP's, and some ill-defined buffs.

I can't accept this bio.

@Sumable: Accepted.
Going to try and post today, if all goes well.

Edit: Probably tomorrow actually but I'll definitely post.
I'll probably be posting today.
Saber - Restaurant District, Yggdrasil

“I’m so very glad you like it!” chirped the tiny chef happily, smiling widely as she gazed up at the two agents she had chosen to address. Saber wasn’t entirely sure how to respond, the sudden arrival of a tiny, cheerful girl who was apparently the chef was a complete shift from the previous serious atmosphere in the wake of the speculation on just how the Shadow Eternity troops had managed to enter Yggdrasil. Her mind now flew to new speculation. Was this girl somehow magical? Did a child really learn how to cook so excellently?

… Speaking of excellent cooking… Soon enough, the King of Knights was once again rapidly devouring her meal. It was simply too delicious to leave alone for so long.

“I’d also like to personally let you know about the Agent Discount at my restaurant,” she continued, “Given your duties at protecting all those who live here or in any of client universes, it’s only right to take at least twenty-five percent off of your-… Er…”

The pink-haired chef’s eyes came to rest upon the now-empty dishes that had once held a wealth of food, now picked perfectly clean in a matter of moments. Saber had completely finished her meal in the time it had taken the chef to introduce the agent discount. “… M… my, you certainly enjoyed your meal, didn’t you?”

The chef rubbed the back of her head, laughing slightly. Saber, however, gave a firm nod. “The meal was delicious, matching my expectations entirely. It was so excellent I certainly desire more of your cooking!”

The chef nodded weakly. There was definitely more food in stasis, but this was kind of unexpected. “Just a moment!”

With that, she hurried over to another one of the restaurant’s patrons, Gintoki.

… Meanwhile, in all the commotion, the only people likely to notice the figure in the long coat exiting the restaurant was the deposed Princess and her knights as they entered.

Kirisame Marisa, Client World 12262009-A(Macross)

Eager to see where the goggle-wearing girl would head next, Marisa happily sprinted after her. After all, this was a whole new world! People to meet(and steal valuables from) abounded! And surely Misaka would lead her to some more, right? Even if she didn’t, the perfectly ordinary witch felt quite confident in her abilities to ‘collect’ items. And hey, Kakine said that the brunette would even enjoy her company! It was another story to tell Alice. And potentially use to make her jealous depending on how things went. Alice looked adorable when she was trying to hide being annoyed, at least when it didn’t lead to dolls being used as blunt instruments and then a big argument and then danmaku. Well, actually, the danmaku part was fun as hell as far as Marisa was concerned but she didn’t like dolls hitting her in the face

… And then there was a mecha. These, too, were featured in the manga she’d nabbed from Kourin. The blonde girl tilted her head as she looked at the massive structure. That was a pretty awesome skyline, she had to admit. And… ‘Battle Frontier’? That just sounded awesome!

“Oh wow, Battle Frontier?!” Marisa asked with a grin as she strolled up beside Misaka, “That sounds badass! We’re definitely going there, right?!”

Dlanor A. Knox – Her Office, UMMA Vessel Tanngrisnir

It was gone.

How had they managed it? Why would they want it? The artifact was just going to a museum located on their destination. It was just a simple ancient gearwork discovered by archaeologists… well, complex given the time it had been dated to, in that world’s equivalent to the medieval period, but there wasn’t any conceivable reason that Shadow Eternity would want it. Dlanor sat at her desk, chewing through her selection of gourmet cookies. There had been no real value beyond archaeological ones found in the gearwork, and certainly nothing that would drive anyone to attack a ship like this…

She had consulted with the Chiester Sisters, who had located nothing. The passengers were unharmed. It was clear the goal of the attack was those gears, but why? They had even lost soldiers in the process of obtaining it. Why would it be so important?

Dlanor sat in her office, in quiet befuddlement. At least they would be arriving at their destination soon…

Black Rock Shooter - Client World 576143290-B

There girl was unsure. Black Rock Shooter did not believe this. Why would these people abandon a girl in a coffin in such a way? Why would any of this had happened? So, she calmly stepped forward. Gripping Rock Cannon tightly, she raised the immense black barrel towards the one who had first made the violent threats, the armored man. There was not the slightest hesitation in the otherself’s mind. To kill others was something that the black-haired girl simply accepted, there were some cases in which it had to be done.

A blue glow ignited within the barrel and swelled, before erupting outwards in an orb of blue light, hurtling towards the armored figure.

The Leader, Shadow Eternity Headquarters

The Leader’s gaze, insofar as could be discerned, travelled to Cinder’s hand as it came to rest upon the tube. For a few moments, it lingered there, before the Leader’s mask shifted to look back up at the woman she was speaking with. Insofar as could be told, at least. She gently ran one hand down the side of the tube, as the girl within remained entirely unaware of what was going on around her. She gently shifted unconsciously in the tube as the Leader began her answer.

“… You could easily say the reason I have chosen her is because I find her worthy,” began the leader, regarding Dead Master for a moment before turning her gaze back to Cinder. “And I wish to have an outside witness to see my plan come to a close. Her worth made her the only one I could pick for such a purpose.”
I'll try and post soon since most people seem to be waiting.
