Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Fio Mal-Rai

Fio cracked her knuckles as her Servant described what he desired. Well that was simple enough, really. Certainly he was meant to win the war, but why make him angry by trying only to do things that directly benefited that path? That just didn't make any sense at all. It wasn't as if she had any shortage or resources in order to fund the purchase of a few history books or whatever. Besides, his class was Caster. That meant that scouting the area was best done in tandem. She could make her way to the local bookstore while he found got his information about his surroundings. It was, naturally, a course of action that would undeniably be a step towards victory. Just as any other course of action she could take.

Fio glanced at the back of her right hand. Well, there it was. The angular shape of her command seal, the three spells that would allow her to deliver undeniable orders to her Servant. She preferred not to use them if possible. Wouldn't that sour their relationship? Hah, she wasn't an idiot. But if she needed instant support, that was another matter entirely. Reaching into her suit pocket, she pulled out a pair of gloves and pulled them over each hand.

"In that case, I'll take a trip out to the local book store while scouting," she began, "With you in spirit form and my command seal hidden, it won't be easy to identify us as Master and Servant immediately."

With that, she turned and headed for the door.

Saber

Saber inclined her head to the side slightly as she watched her Master's face spread into a wide grin. While it made her feel as if her Master appreciated her services, it was certainly an uncouth action, was it not? This moment of her declaring her services, her intent to win victory for her Master, was one to be undertaken with the utmost seriousness and care. When her Master expressed worry about not being a suitable magus, Saber shook her head.

Her Master's concerns about being a sub-standard Master were not holding true. Saber could feel the support from her Master, the bond had formed properly as prana went from the girl to her. To put it simply, while her Master may not have been the best among magi, there was no question that she was sufficient as a supplier of prana. As of now, the black-haired young woman who was one of the blade-wielding Servants of this war would have no problem operating in combat and against her opponents. Naturally the performance of higher-ranking abilities would utilize more prana, but currently that was not her chief concern.

"In spite of your uncouth behavior," Saber began, unwilling not to address such actions, "I am glad to have been summoned by you, Kishinami-dono. You need not worry, our bond has formed properly and I will pursue your victory to my fullest capabilities."

After a moment's pause and consideration, she continued.

"Unless you wish to rest, I feel there is only one logical option presenting itself. While the Grail has granted me knowledge of this modern world, I must see it for myself in order to understand our battlefield. I advise that I am allowed to investigate this location tonight."
Gah sorry, um, I've just been kind of stuck for this one recently. Let's see um, what could I do...
Anno took a deep breath. Pace herself. Pace herself and keep nice and calm. Okay. There we go. No freaking out over the whole... other worlds stuff. Yeah. Nice and calm. She shook her head and tried her best to remain relaxed and calm, putting the necklace away as quickly as she could and taking another deep breath. The other girl was trying to help, at least. That was nice. That was very nice. But now, well... she had to reply, and she could do that in a nice and calm, reasoned manner, right?

"YEAHITHINKWESHOULDGOINSIDEINEEDTOSITDOWNNEEDTOTHINKOHGOD"

... Well, she tried to make it a bit calmer, at least. The oh god was only at the end. But it is awfully hard to stay calm after you find out you're an accidental multiversal traveler.
@Tokki: Hmm... I'd like to go off and adventure, but I'm not sure if it makes sense to leave now after finding this.
Mocking in terms of attempting to insult me.

I'm not really sure what I did to provoke this response, you've been really rude when the solution to the issue was to just calmly point out how the post can be lengthened.
@Revans Exile: ... And now you're attempting to mock me?

Who was the one who started referring to anything as "pathetic garbage" and claiming someone should be restricted to "free only"?

No, I don't like one-line posts. Yes, @Lost Cause should make longer posts. It's vastly better for RPing, more interesting to read, and is much better then a one-liner. The way you achieve that is pointing out what they can respond to, not being rude and insulting out of no-where.
... Okay, yes, @Lost Cause should post longer posts. I was thinking of posting to point that out.

But you're frankly being incredibly rude now for absolutely no reason.
OC's, Canons, and AU characters are all allowed.
RP's still open, yes. ^^;
Indeed, she could smell it too... that awful scent on the wind. Was someone just leaving animal carcasses around? It seemed like their might be a fire as well... Rika sighed. Hopefully whoever set it actually had a remote idea of how to properly set a fire without making all the local plant life go up in flames. Thankfully, most plants didn't actually burn that great unless the conditions were right. It's not like trees were just tinder, after all, they had lots of moisture in them. Some people didn't seem to know this, and Rika classed those people in the category of 'morons who lack basic knowledge of the world'. Seriously, didn't everyone know that plants needed water? Where did they think that water went? ... Still, it's not like they weren't flammable, and someone stupid enough could still trigger a forest fire. Contemplating her options, the naga girl guessed that there was likely to be wood to build a fire and potentially something to eat on whatever route they would take. That and, well...

"You, kitsune and elfgirl," she said, gesturing to each of them in turn. She hadn't caught their names before, caught up in her efforts not to panic so thoroughly, so hopefully that would prompt them to repeat them. "Going off without any good knowledge of what's edible and what might be dangerous is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, and I'm sure you don't want to be idiots. So I'm coming with you. I can gather supplies for a fire while we go, too."
