I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?
"I won't allow you to hurt these people. I can't."
Character Concept: The Noble Swordswoman Who does not Tolerate Evil
Name: Takahashi Mimori(A serious person, Mimori saw no need to change her name)
Gender: Female
Background: He'd injured her hand already. He was going to shoot innocent people. The only thing Mimori could do was dive for him, and try to use the training she'd received. It was only after she slammed his head into the concrete hard enough to knock him out cold until backup got there that she realized she had been shot in the chest, and that adrenaline was the only thing that had kept her going. She knew people had been trying to help her, but she slipped away too quickly for them to do anything. A former police officer for the Tokyo PD, Takahashi Mimori gave her life to stop a madman who had planned to spill innocent blood. She died with this knowledge, that her actions had saved lives, and yet, she did not find herself anywhere she expected. No, she received a new life instead. A serious and stern young woman, Mimori has a dedication to protecting the innocent at all costs. She is very polite and respectful towards others, and feels that in any life it is her duty to serve the common good. However, she is easily flustered(not at all happy with the outfit her new life has dropped her in, to say the least) and embarrassed. She is also quite adept at working out how to fight on the fly, such as how to utilize spells to increase the power of her weapon. Mimori loves food. A lot. Possibly a bit too much. Possibly far too much. Possibly more then literally anyone else who has recently went through this reincarnation process.
Level: 1
Class: Spellsword
Race: Human
Attribute: Finesse
Thaumaturgy:
Soul Blade: A blade formed of magical energy forms in Mimori's hands. It can only survive a few strikes before shattering, but is just as sharp as a real sword.
Impact Enhance: The striking power of Mimori's weapon becomes extreme, letting her pierce heavy armor with a single blow with a sturdy sword. This can only be applied to a physically existent weapon, and thus is useless with Soul Blade.
Burst Enhance: The impact of Mimori's weapon becomes mildly explosive, knocking foes struck with it back. Like Impact Enhance, it is useless with Soul Blade.
Character Concept: "Ehhh? You want my character concept? Fufufu, give me more candy and we'll see~"(The Immature and Explosive Mage Girl Looking to Make the Most of This)
Name: Miyu
Gender: Female
Background: Miyu's history, before her death, isn't an issue she particularly cares to explain. This is largely because, at least insofar as it appears, she lived a long, peaceful life and died of old age. Possibly. Maybe. She wasn't exactly expecting to get a second chance at least, and was surprised when she did. Of course, this is hardly something she'll just go explaining, as she'd rather immerse herself fully in her new life. The most she'll say is "I died" and leave it at that. Miyu is rather childish, having a deep affinity for sweet things and a rather wide selfish streak when it comes to anything she finds interesting. She's clingy with people she likes, and prone to pouting when she doesn't get her way. Whoever she was before death, they've thrown themselves so utterly into their new life that their personality is far more fitting for their new appearance than anything else. Or maybe they were just like that before. Miyu's got a rather sassy, sarcastic side as well, tending to mock others(albeit rather playfully most of the time) whenever she finds even the slightest reason to do so. In spite of her selfish and childish attitude, Miyu is prone to helping others in need, provided that they haven't screwed up and caused the situation themselves in her eyes. She is not lacking in confidence at all, as well, and enjoys being praised for doing a good job.
Level: 3
Class: Artillery Mage
Race: Human
Attribute: Focus
Thaumaturgy:
Spark Rise Barrier: A hexagonal barrier spreads in front of Miyu, protecting her from damage. Without it, Miyu is about as durable as a small young girl in oversized clothing would be expected to be.
Spark Rise Red: A mid-long range offensive spell, Miyu forms several orbs of magical energy, numbering up to four as of now. They fire from her position and produce as small explosion on impact.
Spark Rise Vermilion: Miyu charges an orb of magical energy, gathering it above her, before releasing it in a powerful bombardment spell. However, it possesses a long charge and cooldown time, making it risky to execute.

I just kind of need something to get Kiko going anywhere where there's action. I thought someone might show up near her which is why I didn't jump immediately into action with my first post(also it would be weird if every single character was fighting or doing superhero things immediately).
