Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Glad to see activity pick back up, I was getting a little worried. ^^;
@deanmachin: I feel like you could add a bit more to his personality, but I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with the bio.

Though I'll also add that you don't need to go into so much detail with mundane equipment like cell phones. ^^; I think we can safely assume most characters have one.
@skollz: Okay, first off, your bio isn't complete. Secondly it hasn't been accepted. You don't put bios in the character section unless they're accepted.
I'll look him over tomorrow, since it's after 12:00 right now.
Accepted.
NPC characters who get bios will be listed in their appropriate section with a clear NPC labeling.

Right now, Tomoko's an example.
How many people are still around?
Breakfast for Torako was rather eventually. She had taken a long, nice bath the previous night and calmed herself down. Oh, deep down, she was still angry about what she'd witnessed. But there was no point in dwelling on it unless it happened again. As such, she had let the warm water soak her skin, and had a nice, long rest in a comfortable bed, before awakening refreshed the next morning and putting on yet another pretty kimono. She had packed many, of course, for when one was not clean.

As of now, the pale-haired girl showed not even the barest sign of the violent and focused behavior she had displayed the previous knight. The ditzy human sinkhole had returned, ordered eight bowls of delicious soup, and proceeded to down them at great speed, as if someone would steal them if she did not. Soup vanished into her over and over and over again, and all she could think about was how utterly delicious it was in every way.
NPC

  • Name: Tomoko. Her surname is not provided.
  • Hero Name: Disintegrator
  • Age: 30. However, she appears about nine or ten.
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Tomoko has pale blue hair and red eyes. Her skin is extremely pale, and her clothing is a black dress.
  • Superhero Appearance: Exactly the same as usual.
  • Personality: Tomoko the Disintegrator has something of a reputation as an enormously terrifying figure. If you were to meet her, however, you would find she's a rather abrasive, irritable, immature girl. One would never assume that she is actually a grown woman, to say the least. She certainly doesn't physically look grown. She hates having her small stature and immature appearance used as an insult. Calling her a brat will lead to her likely psychically slamming the offender to the wall and loudly berating them. Tomoko enjoys being complimented for her abilities in defeating evil, but hates being talked down to in any manner. She also hates unsolicited assistance, even if she actually does need help. Tomoko is frequently bored and irritable due to the restrictions placed on her movements and deployment, hanging around at the underground facility serving as her home, or at SUPER headquarters, complaining and mocking the people there. Tomoko is dismissive towards her fellow heroes and holds little outward respect for them, though she does not hesitate to help them if she has been deployed and they are in danger. Indeed, despite of her attitude, Tomoko is dedicated to defending innocent people and her fellow heroes. As abrasive as she is, she does care. About people. Unfortunately, one of the things keeping Tomoko's deployment rate so low is that she has a tendency to cause large amounts of property damage due to her blatant disregard for cars, sidewalks, buildings, satellites... though she does insist it was a defunct satellite. Tomoko is highly boastful of her abilities as well, hating being ignored. Tomoko likes sweets and hates footwear.
  • Equipment: Nothing but the dress she wears.
  • Abilities: Tomoko is an enormously powerful Esper. Specifically, she is the strongest telekinetic in the entire world, her gigantic amount of psychic power allowing her to perform incredible feats. Tomoko can effortlessly float and telekinetically shield herself, as well as easily lift massive objects without any exertion. In fact, she can lift large numbers of huge objects without much effort, or move people about using her telekinesis. Her telekinetic abilites cause a hazy blue aura to appear, stronger the more power she is using. Tomoko can use telekinesis to fly extremely quickly, stop attacks, manipulate items, and generally be nightmarish in a fight. Exertion can get to her, however, and extreme strength can resist her telekinetic abilities. Other psychic abilities can also be used against her, though she will effortlessly outpower any enemy telekinetics. Tomoko's power is so great that pulling a satellite from orbit is an effortless action for her. She can even manipulate particles with enough focus and effort, turning photons around to reflect lasers. This also allows her to manipulate molecules when given time to focus. This is what gave her the name "Disintegrator" as she has separated the molecules of a monster in order to utterly dissolve them. She has only been able to do this once, but it left quite an impression. Tomoko's power is so great there are a vast amount of limitations on her movements and deployment as a hero.
  • Skills: Tomoko has little in the way of life skills in general. SUPER operatives handle her care.
  • Brief Backstory: The past of the hero known as Disintegrator is left a private matter at her request, though it is rumored that she was taken from her family at a young age by another organization, and only later found by SUPER. As of now, she is one of the world's eight EX-Rank heroes, and one of three in Japan. Her enormous power and potential for destruction resulted in severe restrictions being placed on her activities, demanded by certain governments in the world. She may only be deployed when necessary, and is rarely cleared to leave her home for extended periods of time. Tomoko lives in a facility underground, connected to SUPER headquarters. She has violated the restrictions on superhero actions once, during a period of extreme boredom, defeating a robot army by telekinetically disassembling them. She has made multiple violations of general movement restrictions before.
  • Hero Rank: EX-Rank Blue
  • Theme Song: Hartmann's Youkai Esper Girl
Knowing her schedule it won't be too long. ^^;
