Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Okay um...

Going to have to say that working out it's definitely a Servant, especially Archer, is going a little bit too far in my opinion. That shouldn't be so easy to do even if you can tell you're being watched. In-Canon I can't recall any moment where it was that easy to work out.

Aaaalso the catacombs aren't meant to just sort of lead everywhere and let people bypass any conflict. ^^; They're meant to be a cool place to hide or set up a base.
Fio Mal-Rai

"Oi oi, I'm not an idiot," Fio said, waving her hand. "We're fighting together, aren't we? It only makes sense to talk to one another and plan out strategy, right?"

The blonde girl cocked her head to one side, one eyebrow raised, her long hair swishing. Obviously, who just... ignored their Servant in these kinds of things? You had to know how they fought, know how they wanted to conduct battle, all that sort of stuff. They were all the sort of people who knew how to fight, too, so they could only have good advice. Unless they were actively trying to mess with their master or something, in which case they weren't a very good Servant, now were they?

"Going for one-on-one, especially if you're not very fast, is a good idea," Fio added, after some though. It only made sense, didn't it? "If you can take on the Servants, I'm a Magus Hunter. I can disable enemy Masters or even kill them if I have to. After all, there's no way that this war only drew in proper, upstanding magi."

It was true, in her mind. A opportunity like this would draw in the types of people who would haphazardly use magecraft on unaware people and threaten its secrecy. And even if she was up against people who weren't like that, well...

It was her or them. And Fio was a Magus Hunter.
Saber

"Very well," replied Saber, gently taking a teacup in both hands. She took a small sip, and was quite pleased with the flavor of the green tea within. Needless to say, she could certainly look to the maidservants to supply her with excellent tea. Her Master's desire to fight... well, she would not at all attempt to stop her. The thought did not even cross her mind. However, Saber's mind could not help but drift to that moment. Her last failure. The final one. The shame and sorrow she had felt in that moment, the words he had spoken... Her final failure had been utter and complete. Saber refused to let such a thing happen once more. Honorable service to a lord she could respect was her desire in a war for the Holy Grail. She held no wish. She simply wished to never again experience anything else like her last failure.

It would remain her final failure. It had to.

"... If you are to be overwhelmed in combat, however, Einzbern-sama," Saber continued, "I will not refrain from ceasing combat to ensure you are safe. Your life is my priority, above all else."

Not swift...?

"... So... what, you're like a... 'power' Lancer rather then a 'speed' Lancer?" Fio questioned, raising an eyebrow. That wasn't what she expected, but that didn't mean that she was disappointed. After all, a powerful Servant was a powerful Servant regardless of what their specialization is. However, the other matter at hand, well... what, did Lancer thing that she wasn't going to plan anything out? Really now. Of course she figured things out before hand. Of course she wasn't just going to go blindly rushing in. One of the reasons she was so confident was entirely because she knew how to plan things out. After all, she was a Magus Hunter. Someone who did that sort of thing didn't get very far without knowing what they were doing, now, did they?

"Lancer, Lancer, it's like you don't think I'm gonna plan or anything," Fio continued, waving her hand. Really now... "The whole idea is to see what everyone else is doing and then wipe them out! I'm a magus hunter, not some stupid thug who blindly charges in."

She jerked a thumb towards her chest.

"I can back up all this confidence!"
The only identity that got any confirmation was our Overseer. : D
Three?

I didn't confirm or deny anything. The only one I addressed was Miyamoto Musashi, since... well, since when did he ever wear armor?

... Or for that matter be that concerned about honor. I think everyone knows the story of his duel with Sasaki Kojiro.

She could be a lot of people. Same with our Lancers. Same with our Archer. Buuuut to avoid anyone getting the right answer, given someone PMed me about it, I'm going to clap down on people guessing identities. ^^;
No-one's going to get direct confirmation.

... I may have also gotten a PM from someone worried about public guessing taking the fun away from secret bios. ^^;
Not every pair will want such a hectic first battle, so some might avoid it.
Pfffft.

It'd be a shame if someone died so early.
