Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

"R-right!" responded Akane, watching as Copenhagen Star used the burning tree to sweep away the assaulting tentacles. That's right... help the civilians escape, get them out of that huge, blobby thing's body... Taking a deep breath she broke into a sprint, trying to find a good angle of attack. If the could just cut open that thing's body, maybe the civilians could escape!

The blob's advance was halted by the wall of heat that had surrounded it, and its stubby legs suddenly rooting into the ground... and then tearing up through the concrete to form a wall of tentacles, a barrier to try and keep its main body from harm and slow down the attackers.

The tentacles that were burning away from Copenhagen Star's tree-based assault fell to the ground and dissipated into black smoke, but more kept joining them. The tips of the tentacles twisted into drills and began to rain down an assault on the magical girl.

The Ripper's move to try and spot weak points revealed something interesting. The blob's innards were straining to their limits to hold all the people inside, and a thin line of blue seemed to mark one of the most strained sections of the Negari's blobby form...
Still trying to set up a good time to work stuff out but it will get done.
@Yidhra: Well I'm glad to hear that at least. There's a *lot* of canon characters I want to play, narrowing them down's probably going to be hard.
"... Then I have a feeling I know exactly who was behind this," Toshiko replied, "Though I have no idea what end they might be seeking, this doesn't sound like their normal fair."

After a moment's pause, where the redheaded mage thought over exactly how to reveal what she knew.

"The thieves are, most likely, a pair of girls known as Kitty and Bunny," she said, finally, "They're typically known for stealing high-profile items using magic, then return them roughly a day later without any explanation. They're in it for the sport, in other words, rather then to keep whatever it is that they've taken. The mundane media regards them as phantoms, and to be honest so does quite a bit of our community as well. However, that doesn't mean we don't know what they look like. Kitty is a short, doll-like girl from Italy with blonde hair. Bunny is a taller Japanese girl with short black hair. Kitty is a mage, Bunny is an onmyouji."

After a moment's pause, Toshiko continued.

"I'm not certain it's them, but the more I hear about these details the more I suspect it's the case.

Yuuno remained silent, giving an occasional nervous glare towards Ryuuko.
So um...

I wouldn't likely be GMing this myself, I'm running quite a few other things and trying to get something else off the ground. But a good crossover RP tends to be pretty fun, and I'm curious if anyone else would be willing to GM it(I can co-GM if need be, just not main GM).

We can work on ideas and stuff together, and if anyone else is interested they can make suggestions.
For a few moments, Fanilly was silent. That, of course, was where she had recalled the tale of a black shard of metal that was dangeorus to touch. The story of Lilianna striking down the Dark Lord Orodrunn was not exactly unknown to any with a Reonite or Mayonite upbringing, and those with any awareness of the history of the world were quite likely to know some details of the story as well. Lilianna was an important saint in either side of the religion. The slaying of Orodrunn was only the beginning of her sainthood, and from there she had become both a philanthropist and a warrior, a slaughterer of evil and a champion of the downtrodden. But if this truly was a shard of the black blade Angroron, that meant that they had to work as quickly as possible.

"Then... if this is something of that caliber of evil..." Fanilly began, taking a deep breath, "We can't delay any longer. With have to find it and retrieve it as quickly as possible."

Alette sighed rather heavily.

"Of course our employer wants a piece of an evil relic of some jackass fallen divine spirit," she complained, "How the fuck do you object to someone wanting to keep that out of the wrong hands?"

She glanced back at her mercenaries, as if trying to see if one of them could offer any grounds to protest. Aside from Abigail giving her a smile and licking her lips, there was not really anything offered. She sighed heavily.

"We didn't speak with our employer directly. Which... hey, mercenaries and all," she shrugged, "Not everyone wants to show their fucking face to a bunch of people who kill for a living, right? They sent a knight in their service to fill us in. Shady, yeah, but they were promising a whole lot of gold. The knight had a huge fucking sword, and was wearing all black. Never spoke, though. Must've been at least two meters tall, maybe more. They just used some scrolls to present us with the information and they gave us half just for showing up."

So their lead was a tall black knight with a huge sword.... Aside from the obvious conclusion that it wasn't Tyaethe, that didn't necessarily give them a strong push towards any culprit in particular. However, at least it was something easy to pick out. Still... where had the shard itself gone? The mercenaries hadn't taken it, and it didn't appear to be here. The murderous force that had taken over the fort had likely already moved it along...

"... Since I'm doing all this shit that I wouldn't normally," Alette continued, "Anyone wanna tell me why the paladin has the head of a fucking adorable little girl?"

Fanilly stepped forward, swiftly ignoring that last note.

"We must give these bodies as proper a burial as we can. Then we have to move out and see if we can find this shard, before anything else happens."

"... No-one's gonna tell me? Really?"
Regardless of what happens if there's no posting today I'm moving to end the fight tomorrow.
I'm sorry to hear that. Can I ask why?

The RP hasn't really gotten past the first fight, which I'm trying to wrap up sooner then later.
"..."

Alette sighed again.

"You really want me to screw my employer over, don't you?" she complained, folding her arms. After a few moments, where she looked more annoyed then anything as far as Fanilly could tell, she let out a sigh. "It's dangerous. I'm not going to pretend to know what it is, but it's dangerous. My employer said so."

She twirled her spear and planted the tip in the ground.

"Black, some kind of metal shard," she continued, "We were told to avoid touching it directly if we could, but that it probably wouldn't do much but burn a little if we had to grab it. But we were also told to try and avoid holding onto it if we could."

She folded her arms, narrowing her eyes in annoyance.

"There, you fucking happy?"

After a few moments, Fanilly took a deep breath.

"What did your employer want this shard for?" she asked. That description... she swore that she'd heard about something like it at one point. But what? Right now, in the midst of all this, it was hard to recall.

"Fufufu, cute," Alette commented, her grin returning, "My employer hasn't betrayed me, I won't betray them. But I won't blame you, cute stuff. I don't think you think of it as asking me to betray my employer. Even if I knew exactly why, I wouldn't say."
"Ah, good work, Ryuuko-kun," said Toshiko, rising to her feet with a smile. Indeed, it was more then Toshiko had managed to find. Outside of those few clues that they had already discovered already, there hadn't been much of anything. But now... that was interesting. A western mage and an onmyouji? It was a shame to interrupt her little talk with Yuuno, who was now rather nervously shifting in her seat and looking back over her shoulder at Ryuuko, but this was important.

"Both a Western Mage and an onmyouji, huh? That's interesting..." she trailed off for a few moments. "And one was blonde, too... do you know anything about the other? One was small and blonde... was the other taller and with black hair?

Toshiko was having growing suspicions in regards to the nature of the theft.
