WIP

NAME: Jingo Thurston Strange

CLASS: Noble

APPEARANCE: Jingo stands at 6'6", straddling the the border between tall and freakishly tall, he has a long arm and legs (his left arm missing just under the elbow), with wide sloping shoulders. His body is enmeshed in a layer of muscle, he's not a beast but he is lean and the lines and creases of his muscles are well defined. He has fair skin, crisscrossed with scars small and large a like, notably his tattered left ear and his missing left cheek, leaving his teeth and gums exposed to the air. Jingo has a fairly angular head, with a straight jaw and a thin imperial nose, he has shallow seek bones and a tall forehead with worry lines permanently furrowed into them. His eyes are set pleasantly apart, wide and full with large irises; the right eye is grey and has a very dark, defined pupil, the left one is a dull, watery blue. He has a thick shag of hair on top of his head, the color of hay and almost as course, the hair on his scalp is thicker then the hair on the sides of his head, but not by much; he has the remnants of a rough beard running down his right cheek (hiding the on set of wrinkles) and forming a goatee around his lips, though stopping on the left side because of the skin missing from his face. Rising from just above his temples are a pair of horns resembling those of a mountain goat, the left horn is shattered and has flecks of glowing red, like embers, a thin trail of smoke follows him around, emanating from that horn.

On the stump of his left arm he wears a prosthetic arm, made of yellowed plastic with a small, hook shaped set of pincers at the bottom, he controls the pincers easily enough due to a cable attached to a surviving tendon; on the left side of his torso, front and back, a black sheet of rubber is stretched over his ribs and is held in with medical staples, this is to protect exposed muscle and ribs and he can not take it off.

CLASS FEATURES:

FAVOR: Upon ascending into the ranks of nobility, Jingo inherited the deep web of connections his father had left behind, loose strings that when pulled just right can get him what he desires but he is weary of calling a favor, knowing that what he may ask for could mean he can never call one again, thus he wouldn't use it unless he was sure he needed it.

RESIDENCE: The Strange Manor is an exact replica of the one that the family had abandoned when they fled the surface. It use to be a monistic building before the cell that previously occupied it was absorbed into the priory of the greater area, for a few years after that it was left unoccupied but was then gifted to Jingo's many times great grandfather, upon being made into landed gentry by the then queen. The building is in the Neo-Gothic style, utilizing the arches and ribbed facades of the period to give a strong yet elegant effect. The exterior of the first floor of the manor is an arcade, allowing sunlight from the outside to enter through large, tall, cathedral-like windows; upon entering the first floor, one steps into a foyer and is confronted by four routes to take, an elegant spiral staircase going to the upper levels, two high oak doors going to the east and west wing respectively and a door just beyond the spiral staircase leading to a conservatory that looks over the back garden. The west wing of the building is the shortest, consisting of a dining room on the ground floor, a server room on the floor above and library in the attic. The east wing is substantially longer, about five times as so, the ground floor consists of an open living space, decorated with heavy, comfortable Victorian furniture and punctuated by columns rising up to the ceiling; the second floor is primarily bed rooms, though with small alcoves breaking up the line of rooms, used as sitting spaces to look out through the windows, just as with the west wing, the upstairs is comfortably dim during the day; the attic is a continuation of the library in the west wing. The farthest end of the east wing is Jingo's personal area, the first floor housing a circular swimming pool, once the monastery's drinking water cistern; the second floor is his private office and the attic above that is once more a continuation of the library, though with a sitting area (that section of the attic is linked to the office by a private staircase. My family has always committed itself to one core value, "Nobility, before The Nobilty." The simple action of being good to those bellow you before being good to those immediately around you. Though I firmly believe in this creed, it has caused me problems in the past, some nobles resent it, seeing themselves as superior and their underlings not worthy of their good graces. Naturally this lead to arguments, though it seems that it always has. You see, they hate me and they've made it very clear, I've lost an arm and half my torso to their tomfoolery, chemical attacks, bombings, even a sorcerer, though of course they would never admit to their wrong doings, they feign innocence and hide behind their influence. One day I'd like to see them accept some responsibility.

When I was younger, I had not expected to go down the route I have, I thought I was going to be a knight, like my brothers, but my father had different things in mind. While I was cooped up inside, learning the ancient philosophies of the Greks and Rowmans, and the intricacies of cyber protection, my brothers played in miniature suits of armor and ran around in the garden. It wasn't the most ideal way to spend one's childhood but I have to thank my father for selecting me to be the Noble in the family, it meant (unlike my brothers) I got to live to see 30 and the rest of the world. And whilst on my travels I learnt a few things but the most important thing I learned was to never live in another man's shadow, not even your father's.

So upon my return, a few days after the passing of my father, I sold everything. All the factories, the stocks, the skyscrapers and terrace farms, I sold everything, leaving myself with the manor that I had grown up in. I sold away my father's shadow so that I could put in it's place a window, so I'd never have to live in the dark, bumbling around like the other nobles and claiming rights on the work of their forefathers. I'm going to leave behind a window, so my children and everyone else can bask in the sun, to feel like they are capable of doing the same.

2) wouldn't floating balloons tethered to moose be ill advised and the opposite of pragmatic, as just simply applying a wagon would be more cost effective and efficient? Not to mention if the moose walks under a tree branch. Also the cargo would have to be around half the weight of the moose as opposed to a larger quantity if it was in a wheeled cart, then there is the issue of getting the goods back down safely.

My apologies. I took @Mihndar's earlier comment as approval. I should have waited for you specifically. Meh bad. Let me address your concerns, however.

1. The planes are supposed to be donations taken from anonymous individuals over the past century. Most of them are quite old and ineffectual against modern aircraft, especially the biplanes. Although I must admit a thousand does seem a bit excessive for such a small force. How does three hundred sound? Keeping in mind that the majority will be out of date biplanes and such.

2. I'm not very knowledgeable on such things as population statistics and sustenance farming. The area controlled by the DRA is outlined here. That's the poorly drawn squiggly lines underneath Moravia. How would you feel if I dropped the population growth projection to 50,000 and said that the DRA relies heavily on imported food to survive? The food shortage would also make for a decent storyline outlining why the DRA has chosen now to begin attacking their neighbors instead of fifty years ago.

Alright, 300 planes is more like it and if you want a bit more of a navy, go ahead. Now that the food thing is settled and the air force too, you're sheet is accepted (I'll be checking if you changed the things we discussed).

@FacePunch I would have preferred it if you posted the NS in the OOC, and waited for approval before putting it in the NS tab but I guess I can live with it.

Ok, after reading it I have a few criticisms that I'd like to make, or rather things I want to point out. As a revolutionary force, with only two cities, how does your "nation" have control so many damn planes? Unless the elves stole 600 biplanes, 200 fighters, etc and flew them all the way to your land, I don't see how you've acquired them and if that's the case, the elves must hate you.

Another point, population, again, maybe it's because you didn't specify how much land you've taken by showing a map but I doubt two cities and the out lying areas are enough to feed the 20 something million inhabitants of the cities, especially with that growth you're projecting.
