Couldn't the dagger be caught up against her hand guard as she slides the katana forward to strike? Both pressed up against each other, the katana would have the range to hit while Hikaru would be safe, unless I'm missing something.

If it's a stab, then yes, it will slide past, but to be safe, Vos only has to turn his torso towards her and push the blade slightly to his side with the dagger, while still having the option of stepping in for a stab of his own. Every time Vos parries with his main-gauche, it's a strong parry, as it's close to the hand, so he has considerable strength in it.

I see how she could sidestep in the direction away from the sword swing to try and strike his side.

True that. Though Vos can cover that entire side with his dagger, and Hikaru can hardly land a strike hard enough from the Chudan to break his parry, so it still could potentially benefit me.

Anyways, im look forwards to your next post, and i'll try to pick up the pace and post my reply sooner than this time.

Seeing him slowly inching forward to touch her sword, it's not exactly like he'd take her off guard...unless this move isn't possible with kendo and she's simply oblivious to other fighting styles. Due to being unranked we can make a few more assumptions.

Often, there's much more to a post than written IC.

I guess there's no harm in telling, since this is a practice fight, but i was planning for you avoid the bide, and thus, break your stance. The most obvious ones, and the exact few i was fishing for were simply pulling the sword away, stepping backwards, or transitioning to a different stance, for all of which i have follow-ups planned.

The reason i didn't write that into my post was because you could've seen through my ruse and answered with a move that i haven't predicted, and thus, planned for yet.
I'll take the win and points; had she said something when she popped up, I'd have been fine with putting it on Hiatus. Haha. I'll edit the points once you confirm the victory on the card.

Done.

Endangering...her katana?

I told you it would be a very endangering move. You see it now don't ya? >:3
@Rilla

Confirmed. The battle has ran over it's post limit twice. Feel free to either put it on hiatus or take the win and wager points.
Vos watched with interest as Hikaru formed her shell, taking note of the way she channeled her energy. He himself planned on learning something similar, further expanding upon the principles of astral projection used in the Killer's Ring technique. The upcoming tournament had him busy with mastering the spells he already knew, making sure that no matter what, he could rely on them, and there was no time left afterwards to dabble into anything new; for the matter of fact, it was the exact same with his swordsmanship. This fight would be refreshing change of pace for Vos, and the perfect time to lay a foundation for future studies: if he didn't revisit the plans he had often enough, then they would eventually fade, becoming naught but a few scattered and vague ideas, needing to be pieced together again. Yes, it sure wouldn't hurt to share a word or two with her about magic - but that certainly could wait until their sparring session was finished.

Vos'stoorge observed Hikaru entered her battle stance, and in response, assumed one of his own. She had taken a well-guarded stance with very few offensive options, from which he inferred that his opponent wouldn't be taking the initiative, inviting him to strike first. However, the only thing left exposed was the katana itself, positioned in such a way that it could both block any incoming attack and threaten him at the same time. He could try to bat away the katana, but Vos felt like such a move wouldn't utilize his dual-wielding setup to its fullest, and opted for a different strategy.

Left foot set forwards, with the dagger raised, and sword in his right hand, resting on the shoulder, he moved towards Hiraku, bringing his main-gauche in to block the point of her blade. Arm bent at the elbow, he would inch closer and closer, until his weapon touched the katana, pushing into its edge. It would be a decisive moment in his opening gambit, the outcome determined by whether Hikaru would immediately decide to disengage, or hesitate for a moment. Should the latter happen, Vos had a plan at ready: stretching out his arm, he would slide the dagger past her blade, putting his forearm inbetween it and his body, then hook it from behind, push it downwards and twist towards his opponent with the right shoulder, aiming a horizontal chop to her neck with the broadsword.

But if she pulled away - then, Vos would have to just react to the situation.
The Guild is pretty much where i started both ordinary and arena roleplaying. Prior to that, i had participated only in one sci-fi roleplay on some game's forums, and it interested me a lot, so that's why i came here.

Singed up for one roleplay. Then noticed the site had an arena section. Got into a four-way with Skalla, Frokane and Lalliman. That's pretty much it.

Also, Important, i'll be posting for our practice match in an hour or so. I apologize in advance for the severe lack of action for such a long wait: all Vos'stoorge does is shuffle up to Hikaru and touch her blade with his dagger. Don't be fooled though - that is a very endangering move. XD
About that altered posting time limit? My fight is still going at the speed of slow and it's starting to irritate.

@Innue

Probably this.
I don't think he can do that, due to the way he's parried. This could work even if Florian parried with one arm: Brennus' weak is firmly against Florian's strong. Florian's sword is horizontal, tip to the left, while Brennus' attack is a straight lunge. Even with six hands, he couldn't push down on that.

It occurred to me another thing Florian could do here, as he has complete control over Brennus' blade, is shift his sword so the tip faces Brennus. This pushes Brennus' blade away and lets Florian stab him unimpeded.

I tested it. Thanks to having a two-handed grip, Brennus can push downwards the hand closer to the hilt, while pulling up with the other, creating a very forceful push, capable of simply bending Florian's elbow and forcing away his shoulder. Also, thanks to stepping forwards and bringing his sword in front of his shoulder, for which the strike was aimed for, it is not exactly the weak of the blade that Florian is parrying anymore.
