I'd argue it's actually better, it's lighter, covers all the vital areas fine, and has none of the weak spots at the joints that conventional armour has.

Well, speaking of vital areas and weak spots on joints. It doesn't cover the shins and knees at all and leaves his head exposed.

In regards to Tordor.

There are a few things that i'd like to be specified: what exact effects do the Blood Drinker's life drain, the Black Flame, the Screeching Widow's sonic attack and the Field Emitter have? How damaging are they?

Also, what do exactly mean by the bullets having no weight (and thus, kinetic energy) and being unable to be affected by outside forces - in other words, not interacting with matter?
Right now, i'm going over the character sheets, and in all honesty, i don't get all the fuss about Tordor's coat. If it's a coat woven out of spider silk, no matter how durable and resistant to abrasion, it isn't even going to be as thick or heavy or dense as a Kevlar vest, so a mighty good whack from any kind of weapon will deliver nigh unhindered blunt force trauma. The only thing it will reliably protect from is penetration.

The right+simple solution is to let an Arena Mod tag each outcome with a wager and let the system calculate the points.

The easy+nasty solution is to let an Arena Mod set the point profit on each outcome. But I'd like to avoid that unless I can't figure out the right+simple solution.

For example, the math for calculating each player's point profit is not obvious to me:

User1 wager=100 LOSS profit=?
User2 wager=0 WIN profit=?
User3 wager=333 WIN profit=?
User4 wager=500 DRAW profit=?
User5 wager=1 WIN profit=?

If i understand the wager system right, then, if waging points does not subtract them from a player's total until the fight ends, it should look somewhat like this:

User1 wager=100 LOSS profit=0-wager=-100
User2 wager=0 WIN profit=100+wager=100
User3 wager=333 WIN profit=100+wager=433
User4 wager=500 DRAW profit=50
User5 wager=1 WIN profit=100+wager=101

Im probably overlooking something though.
I'm totally against betting points. The ranks are supposed to show the participants' skill in textual combat, which includes a variety of things - from knowledge of combat to analysis of your opponents strategy to forming one of your own - and allowing to bet points will skew the results, as a lucky bet based on simply the reputation of a fighter, and not an independent evaluation of their skill, could bring one higher up into the ranks than they have earned.

Betting anything else? Fine by me, that could actually be pretty fun.
Question: is there any requirement for my character to have a weakness?

Not at all.
Same question here. Altered seems to be back after having his internet fail, so i'm hoping for a post from him, but the Melon Vs Tuuj and Leeroy Vs Thar fights seem to have come to a screeching halt.
Do I dare challenge @Skallagrim to fight?

especially when ive got two going already, with tough-ass Atomika and Grevious?

I'm just feeling quite confident lately.

ey, i've already challenged him

vordy's gunna b the first one 2 beat him at the guild
@Inuyasha

Yup, you got the power levels right. However, since we, arena folk, just love all sorts of measurements, it'd be nice to know how hot exactly does Akumetsu's fire burn, if it is actually solid, and how much more does his physical capability improve compared to human. It's those kind of details that are used to determine how characters interact in combat: who is faster, who is stronger, will a character be capable of taking a hit or not and et cetera.
@Vordak Ahem. I'm not being beaten into the ground yet. What's taking you so long? Or have you run from me?

Nah, ready when you are. It's the weekends, so i could go for a binge posting session.

Thinking of a simple, human power level cold arms fight to see whoever has the skill; i'm up for something more powerful though, but only if you'd prefer it that way.
