Alright, as far as I can explain, he uses its force and adds more to it/ takes more from it, pushing or pulling it further from/to its current target.
That was basically my explanation: He absorbs or adds in the kinetic energy, the latter with a different vector. That's fine; it covers speed and direction. Next thing: Temperature. How is he adjusting it, and to what extent can he do so?
