It's fine by me!

@Jensoman I noticed in your latest post that the character's name switched from Flin to Shane? Or am I missing something?

@vancexentan Another thing I picked up is Rin apparently had a spear and not a bow, I imagine that's just a scar from her usage in the previous RP.

Figured I'd point those out to avoid confusion!

"Greetings!- too excited... Greetings?- do I even know what I'm doing here? Okay... Greetings.- AHH am I emotional dead inside?!" Auriel took a deep breath and tried to level herself out to try again. "Maybe I should say it with a smile. Okay here goes... Greetings... Ehe!" she groaned and shook her head. That was terrible.

Auriel heard some clattering and footsteps behind her, which made her think that in her little world of rehearsing that the heroes were already there! Auriel quickly twirled on a heel to try and make up for lost time. She had a big smile on her face, an attempt at covering up her little show, "GREETINGS!" The excitement and surprise made her say it a little louder than what was acceptable in a throne room. Her face flushed to a much redder tone when she saw it wasn't the heroes a tall, but rather a man who looked like he had been rooting through the woods in search of fresh herbs or something.

"Preparing yourself, I see?" the man said to her before continuing, "Put some more grand confidence into your tone."

Auriel felt that she just put a bit too much grand confidence in her tone with that one. Ugh... this is terrible. She'd much rather death than to look like such a socially clumsy, bird brained holy warrior. "Ah- eh... Yeah..." she finally answers with a deflated tone, even her wings drooped in defeat when she answered.

Auriel looked back at him, almost with desperation in her eyes. "I need help! I've waited my whole life for this moment, and I never once thought about first impressions!"

The guardian angel was known to be impressively calm in the field of battle, but she clearly didn't benefit from that same quality in other environments.

@AlternateMan
@AlternateManI'll have something for you tomorrow. My brain is dead today due to lack of sleep.
Alright Haruna hasn't been on for three days how long do you guys want to wait? I can always bring in Matsunaga from last rp to be the bow hero instead of the spear.

Works for me!

Excitement and Worry

Auriel stood on one of the many balconies overlooking Melromarc from the throne room. She looked out to the summoning temple where the ritual to bring the Cardinal Heroes to this world was taking place. She was disappointed that she was denied access to the ritual. Her whole life had led to this moment, to stand beside the heroes. It would come to pass, but for Auriel, having to wait the extra hour or two felt like an eternity. Her golden eyes practically burned a hole into the stonework of the distant temple. They were there now, she could feel it. It was a sensation that ran up her spine and gave her chills. It was as if the world in its entirety responded to the summoning of the heroes. Winds blew from the temple's direction, catching the feathers of her wings as they remained tucked to her back. Her blonde hair whipped back from a particularly powerful gust.

Auriel heard the chirps and calls of a flock of birds as they fought against the wind to reach the temple. She looked over to them and watched with envy as they flew so freely in the air. The sun gleamed off of their white feathers, allowing for the birds to stick out from the blue and gray backdrop of the partially cloudy sky. Auriel took a deep breath of the summer air and let it out slowly. Her wings stretched out a bit, catching more wind. The feeling of the air moving through her feathers felt nice, but it wasn't enough for Auriel. Things hadn't been the same for her since she fell on the battlefield. A sharp stab of pain from her right wing made her wince and tuck her wings back in. She gripped the hand rail of the balcony with white knuckles as the pain ran its course. Her mind shot back to the moment it all happened, when weighted chains were tossed over her and took her to the ground. When her struggles twisted the chains through her feathers and snapped fragile bones. She felt fear that day. It was the first time she had ever came so close to losing everything. For all her divine gifts and healing magic, her wings were the one thing that wouldn't heal. It had been months since that day, but she was still no closer to taking the skies back as her domain.

Auriel snapped out of her reverie when she heard the great bells of the temple, cathedral, and palace ring in unison. The summoning was complete. She felt that familiar chill run up her spine again. The excitement of meeting her promised companions quickly washed over the anxiety of her injuries. But it didn't take long for a new anxiety to settle in. What if the heroes were nothing like she expected? What if they had no need for a warrior who trained her whole life to aid them? What if they wouldn't accept her because she wasn't completely healed yet? Auriel's mind started zipping through dozens of different 'what if?' scenarios, and it made her bite her lip as she tried sorting out the plausible from the implausible. Another gust of wind caught in her wings, and she refocused. No. That wouldn't happen. The Cardinal Heroes might be the ones destined to save their world, but without people like Auriel and the other adventurers gathered in the throne room, the heroes would be lost and confused in this strange place. Her rationale steeled her for the moment she'd meet her heroes, at least until she realized she hadn't even thought about what to say when they were finally face to face.

Auriel blushed. "Oh heavens, Auriel you fool..." she said quietly to herself as she planted her face firmly in her palm.

She took another deep breath and started rehearsing to herself, "Greetings, heroes! ... No that's too excited... Welcome, my lords- are they my lords? What if one of them is a lady? My lords and lady? Ohhh I should've thought about this sooner! Uuugh!" Auriel let out an exasperated sigh as she gripped some of her golden locks. "Ohhh what do I say?!" she said a bit louder, forgetting that there might be others able to hear her in the throne room.
So is the plan to start after we get the bow hero submitted?

Biography
Born within a monastery, Auriel was chosen to be trained as the Holy Warrior, a singular member of a lineage of warriors that have devoted themselves to the Four Legendary Heroes. It was decided at her birth that she would be trained in order to one day assist the cardinal heroes, taking the fact that she was born with angelic wings as a holy omen of the heroes' need to be summoned. For as long as Auriel could remember, her mother had lived in the monastery where Auriel was raised. From what her mother had told her, Auriel's father was once a great hero with a legend that rivalled even that of the cardinal heroes themselves, and that her mother had travelled at his side where she too earned quite a bit of renown as well. However, whenever Auriel asked about her parents' past, she was always met with cryptic answers and promises of being told later. Auriel eventually conceded and simply waited for the day that might never come.

When Auriel had been told that she was chosen to inherit the title of the Holy Warrior, she was ecstatic. The church had viewed her wings as a divine gift, and that it was fate that she was to become the Holy Warrior. Ever since she was a small child, Auriel fantasized about what her future might hold in store for her. As she grew up, Auriel endeavored to surpass her instructors so that, should the time ever come, she could be of the most use to the heroes. All throughout her younger years, Auriel was told to never trust the Shield Hero. However, despite the teachings and attempted indoctrination of the church's conviction, Auriel remained true to the journals of her predecessors which told her to remain true to all of the cardinal heroes. Auriel would go through her lessons, saying what her instructors wanted to hear whenever the topic of the Shield Hero came up so she wouldn't have to deal with the chastisement.

Well into her teenage years, hordes of demons and evil creatures began to ravage the countryside. The incursions were small at first, enough for the country's army to handle it, but as they grew in size, Auriel couldn't help but get herself involved. It was clear that these incursions from the hordes were a sign of something far worse, that they were the precursors of the next Waves to plague the world. She tried to convince to the kingdoms that the time to summon the heroes was now, but the kings and other leaders of the nations preferred to fend for themselves, saying that the summoning of the heroes would only happen if the waves became too much to handle. Auriel had been training her whole life to battle these foes. Even when the monastery wouldn't let her leave, Auriel would fly from a window and meet the hordes head on. Her training helped immensely, and she quickly became an even more experienced fighter as she did battle. Soon her reputation as the kingdom's guardian angel spread. But her reputation and fighting ability only served to work against her true desire, as the kingdoms believed that with her around, they wouldn't need the heroes. Auriel would once again become very outspoken about summoning the heroes, and that she was only one person and the waves would eventually become strong enough that she wouldn't be strong enough to stop them. She might have been capable, but she was no cardinal hero after all.

In one particularly violent battle, the strength and organization of the horde was far greater than Auriel had anticipated. Auriel was one of the first to meet the enemy in the field of battle, and one of the first to fall to the surprise as chains and nets were launched into the air by fel machines to intercept her. It seemed that her reputation hadn't just reached the ears of the people. Soldiers managed to reach her and get her out of the battle, but she was too injured to fight. The holy magic that surrounded her would need time to heal her injuries, and there was no telling when she would be healthy enough to fight again. It had been months since that battle, but Auriel is once again fit to travel the land. Her injuries had left her bedridden, and she is now a shadow of her past self. She would need to raise her strength again for when the first true wave comes. Luckily, her defeat on the field of battle, and destruction that ensued from the last demonic incursion, was enough to galvanize both the people, and the government to finally summon the heroes. Auriel is making sure that she is there to attend the summoning ceremony and finally fulfill her destiny.

@vancexentan I promise that when it becomes available, it wont be abused :D
Also like I've stated in the above paragraph there hasn't been a first wave.

Woops! I'll fix that part lol

As for the flight, perhaps the wings were injured and haven't fully healed yet? So it would be something she was capable of in the past, and can be something she can do in the future?

EDIT: Fixed the first wave tidbits to be just another incursion.
Throwing my hat in as a party member for one of the heroes! Her intent is to not stick with any one hero (though that might just end up happening anyways due to reasons within the RP). A simple TL;DR, Auriel grew up with the belief that she was meant to assist the heroes, and has trained for just that purpose.
