Willa's eyes had burned from the hair dye. She had turned on the bathroom fan on and it didn't seem to work very well. After doing everything she could to lessen the stench she dried her hair which still stunk like rotten eggs. Next she bounced over the bed and opened all of the windows in the room. She kept the room aired out as much as she could. "I am all for going outside to eat if you want to." She ran back into the bathroom and got the remaining dye and package and came out with them. "First I have to get rid of this." She went down to the garbage can at the other end of the motel parking lot.

Willa came back and sat outside and breathed the mostly clean air. Willa sat outside having grabbed a slice and slipped her shoes off. She was enjoying the flavor of the food and the feel of the grass on her feet. She was comfortable in the tank top and jeans that she was wearing and she could look over and see Benji smiling at her. She felt freer than she had in a very long time. She wondered if he knew how he made her feel. She thought he might but she didn't want to mess anything up. They had already lost too much time. She lay back in the grass and looked up at the white puffy clouds as the sun was starting to go down.

Willa heard someone and she sat up thinking it was Benji. When she opened her eyes there was a big man and another more averaged size. They both reeked of booze and they were dirty. The big one grabbed Willa's foot and she screamed and kicked at him. "Let go of me!"

Maren went home and marvelled at the chances that she would have run into her savior. She was just as she had remembered her. She was concerned knowing there would be another round up soon. She was concerned that Willa and her wolfman were in the vicinity.

"I can tell you about Hades. He is an old pervert. He used to stare at me when I was a kid and staying with Bellare. You know it makes sense now why mom sent me there for so long. That would have been when Cam was hitting puberty and her powers went crazy. Mom sent me away for two and a half years. When I got back they were both so happy to see me. I was happy to be home but a large part of that was because Hades is a pedophile at heart or something. I have to make a trip there soon so that I can see if Bellare has made any headway."

Shiver cocked her head to the side and smiled. One of these days I should take you there. You wouldn't even believe how it is there. Shiver's expression became one of serenity and yearning. "If only I had been so lucky to have been born a goddess BUT Nope. I'm an angel of some sort and I am probably not a very good one at that."

"R&D? You going after Alpha? I want to go with you."

"Felix! Where have you been? I was beginning to think you had gotten yourself bitten." Jenna hugged him fiercely. "Please don't do that to me. You are the closest friend I have here and I would hate to lose you." She blushed and turned to the kitchen. "I do the cooking but the other girls do the cleanup. Do you want some breakfast?"

Jenna started making him a plate and gave him extra bacon. Matt saw and gave her a funny look and turned away laughing. Jenna waved him off and turned back to Felix as she handed him his plate and she found something even more rare. She had found some orange juice and she put it in a solid cup so not everyone would know what it was. "Shh" she signalled as she put the top on his cup.

"So how bad is it out there? Are things starting to calm down a little? I know that sounds terrible to say but I am hoping enough people got to safety that it won't be a species killer."

"No! That is not what I want. What I want is simple. I don't want you and Cammy fighting or hating each other. If anything you should be closer than you have been in two decades. She is really upset about what happened to you and worse yet she blames herself and it wasn't her fault. I want Sigma to keep her mouth shut or I'll shut it for her. I want a vacation. I don't want to be married to the devil himself and I just want to be able to know who I am again. That is what I want. Please just stay here I don't want you to go I just pushed the boss stuff because I want Sigma to know that if she pushes too hard I can and will get rid of her."

Shiver's hair was wild looking from earlier in the day and she hadn't seen it yet. She walked past the mirror and did a double take as she spoke to Michael. "Whoa! Why did no one say anything?"
