Shade and Casey

Shade said "I expect Alex won't be up for company tonight but I'm sure he would be glad to get with you tomorrow." The look on his face Claudia would understand but the others might take as odd.

Casey looked at Darric questioningly and whispered to him. "What do you have to talk to Alex about? Do we have vampire business of some sort?"

"Claudia, you and I should go shopping and hang out." Casey declared looking at the menu and finished ordering her food.

Casey had a thought occur to her and she asked whomever was willing to answer. "Has a vampire ever been a part of a pack? I mean, an honorary member? If Alex is as dangerous as you think he is couldn't that work in the pack's favor if he is aligned with us? Please keep in mind I am 1 day old and I'm just asking."

If you take a basic format and alter it quite a bit because you don't know all of the coding used but keep one sentence from the original text it is not plagiarism in my book. I've had people take mine word for word before and I never complained. And if I had I would certainly not have started anything in their OOC.

I do agree that taking someone's character is totally wrong though and I hope the mods spoke to them about how rude that was. It's actually why I don't have a C.S. thread in here. Mine are all in my mail box.

After the Asteroid-Closed

The world has just been hit head on by a large asteroid. Most of the smaller asteroids and the debris have burnt up upon entering the atmosphere. The damage to the planet is extensive. Earthquakes and volcanoes have been activated and the population has suffered massive devastation. Tidal waves and tsunami's have caused the coasts to be pushed inland. Since the asteroid actually hit in the Atlantic Ocean the water levels have risen exponentially. The Earth's atmosphere and oxygen levels are changed and 98% of the planet's population has been wiped out. Fortunately, Nature will always find a way.

The animal and plant life has changed immeasurably since the asteroid hit. Since the devastation of nearly all animal life there are new creatures that are completely new and some old ones that have adapted and now have harder skin whereas before they were furry. There are more reptiles and amphibians, and there are fewer mammals than before. The creatures are more vicious because there is less available food. People are no longer on the top of the food chain.

The people who were in the underground bunkers came out after a year. Not all of them survived. About half died in the first week. The rest of them began to feel changes as their bodies adapted to the new surroundings. Their cells changed and adapted to the atmospheric changes in oxygen and carbon monoxide levels as well as other gases in the air. Those that survived began to get sick with something like the flu. After about a week of illness they began to thrive. It was then that they started to realize that they had gained powers.

Your location is the middle of Oklahoma.

When they are fighting each other, the new wildlife and the planet itself will the human race survive?

Rules

1. My word is law. So goes for my Co-GM's.

2. Normal guild rules apply.

3. Romance is fine but porn is not. It's PG-13, everything is ok until the clothes come off then fade to black.

4. No godmodding. Everyone can die.

5. More rules will appear if needed.

6. Mention people in posts!

7. You must write at least three posts a week. If for some reason you can't you need to let the gm's know in ooc by tagging all three or by pm in group conversation to all three. If you are gone for longer than a week without any word from you, your character will be killed off.

8. Swearing is allowed in the IC but keep it civil in the OOC. If you have a problem that needs to be addressed please bring it to PM or directly to the gm or co-gm do not fight or make a scene in the OOC. You WILL be kicked out if you do.

9. Everything should be written in 3rd person and past tense for consistency.

The Bunker

The bunker is full of rooms set up like a hub with hallways going to different sections. There are small bedrooms 8x5 for singles and for married couples there is one section of 8x9 sized rooms. The hub can hold up to 200. There are bathrooms, showers and a cafeteria type kitchen. The cafeteria doubles as a multi-purpose room for meetings or community gatherings. It's a tight living space for 200 but they only had 154 so it was slightly easier for them. There are also storage rooms for the food and maintenance things as well as a laundry room and a couple of offices for the commander and other government officials that may be there.

The bunker has hundreds of plants and it's own electrical system in place. There has been a lot of strain on the system due to the age of the equipment, since it was built in the late 1960's. The air and water filtration systems are in place as well and also are strained.

The asteroid wasn't expected. There was no knowledge or warning until the last 24 hours so they were picking up people at random hoping that the younger ones would be able to learn from the older ones and reproduce so it would not be the end of humanity. You can describe a set of drawers in their rooms with a single bed and that's about it. It was really about the size of a normal bathroom. About 5'x8' approximately.

Each player can have one power. There may be more allowed later on. Your power will not grow, but your character should not know how to control it right away. You should not be able to come out of the gates knowing exactly how to use it. Overpowering will not be permitted and all powers must be approved by the GM.

POSTING RULES
I typically don't have posting rules that limit posting. As long as you stay in the same time frame as the rest of the group you are okay to post your conversation or whatever they are doing. Be mindful of the time of day. I do post day and time of day up in the corner of my posts so you know when things are happening.

Far be it from me to be purposely rude to another player. I changed it back to my standard c.s. In my defense I had no idea who to ask about it, it's not like it was signed And I did alter it quite a bit. I would have appreciated it if you would have asked me in PM to change it instead of trying to ruin my rp before it gets off the ground by putting your objections in my ooc.

Shade chuckled. "Alex is currently in the middle of something and can't be disturbed. So I am keeping Claudia company until he gets back later today."

Casey smiled and waved back. "Hey, I'm Casey. So you are the one Darric wants to join the pack! I'm completely new to all of this wolf stuff. I've only been one for a day."

Casey couldn't take her eyes off of Darric and she said to Claudia "We've both imprinted on each other. It's the craziest thing. We are so in tune to one another. I can't even imagine how I survived before I met him. Do you feel that way with your ...man? She said seeing the waitress coming back.

"Shade is in my art class and he walked me to my car at night. I never had any reason to fear him he is very cool."

Shade smiled slightly. He knew what she was worried about and that she need not do it.

"You need not worry about Alex. He has not been in love in at least 450 years. He has never in all that time brought any woman to our home. Not to spend the night or clean house. Kitty doesn't count as he saw her as his child. Unlike many other vampire he doesn't sleep with his children. The man is completely yours. I just hope he keeps his focus so he doesn't get either of you hurt." As the waitress sat a couple across the room Shade recognized the girl.

"Hey, I know that girl! That's Casey! I'll be right back!" Shade hopped up and went over to the other table.

"Hey Casey! Wow, funny meeting you here. You guys should come sit with us." He stopped a minute realizing something was different and he looked at Darric and frowned. "Casey? Did this wolf bite you?"

Casey shook her head realizing that he was a vampire. "No Shade he didn't but he did help me get through it without hurting anyone." Shade looked at her face and offered Darric his hand to shake. "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Shade Nightwalker. Casey and I are in the same Art class at night at the college." He pointed towards Claudia and said "Please, come join us. My friend and I just got our orders taken."

Casey nodded wanting to tell Shade all about it since she now had one friend from her life that she could tell all about her new life. "Come on babe let's go. She is a wolf too."

Shade thought about Claudia's question. How did they know? He had had relationships with women. He had never been what he would call in Love with one. He loved Kitty but he hadn't been in love with her. Shade was quiet til they were seated. After they ordered he answered her. He sat back in the booth and leaned against the back of it.

"I think of love as something that hits you like a freight train and kidnaps your heart. Your mind may try to keep you on the tracks they were on but no matter how hard you try to resist you can't. Once your heart has been stolen you can't get it back." He glanced at her and wondered if he had made any sense. "It is obvious that Alex is in love with you. All one has to do is look at his eyes when you are around or your name is mentioned."

"Vampires, werewolves...who knows what else is out there." Casey heard her stomach growling. "Can we stop and get some breakfast, I'm starved. There is the Waffle House just up ahead, please?" When her stomach got louder she blushed as it was loud enough to get his attention. "I guess I should have eaten another rabbit." She chuckled as the car pulled into the Waffle House parking lot.
