My only problem here is that while I like the Europe map, making it so that we can't have colonies or even contact with not-Asia would mean HUGE changes to what went on during this time period.
Seriously, for starters @ClocktowerEchos can't play as his beloved not-Japan faction.
Relations with nations outside Europe were also always important.
Axing them would be a serious blow to complex politics we know Europe for.
Really, this is a narrative based RPG so I can't see why it's necessary to fear "powergaming" which is the only reason I think colonies are banned.

Of course this game is still playable and all but I would be happy if the GMs at least put my above thoughts into consideration.
Being a psuedo-Europe, I drew the map to achieve a scale similar to that of Europe.

Therefore each pixel represents roughly one square mile, or a kilometer and a half^2. The distance between the far western tip to the eastern edge of the map is about 2.3k pixels, which is comparable to the distance between Portugal and Ukraine.
1 square mile is actually around 2.59 square kilometer albeit when measuring length the typical mile to kilometer conversion works out, too.

@gorgenmastI call dibs on the not-Italy part of this not-Europe.

BTW, can we get an impression on the scale? Same as Europe?
If not then the height and length dimensions of this map in kilometers?
It'd be quite helpful to me.

When you say rockets, do you mean like V1s and V2s or things like Katyushas? Because I won't allow V1s and V2s just yet.
I thought my airship launched flying bombs were approved.
Oh well, let's modify them into rocket powered bombs.
Basically, I have the same flight controls as before using gyroscope and radio assisted guidance to find targets. Launched from airships it has the effective range of 70km and carries 1000 pounds of explosives.
Each is estimated to cost about 900A (Yllendthyr's currency) while a simple bomb with similar payload would cost 150A.
While uneconomical Yllendthyr continues to use these in hopes of a cleaner warfare.

Would it be possible to control a dual monarchy? If so, I present to you the Mont-Levan Commonwealth.

I may be just a bit blind in the morning but I can't see your territory claim here.

<Snipped quote by Cyclone>That was a really bad estimate but I assumed the desert was the entire area east of the river delta on the geography map.
I think your estimate on the desert is still a bit large, what is your assumption on? Either my carthography skills fail me or those thin greyish lines are rivers to saturate the land.

anyways the scale confirmed it, dammit.
My core territory is nearly as large as the USA, again.
Assuming fertile lands my core territory and my nearest vassal together could support even 500 million people.

@Gig@CycloneYeah, the desert area is lot less than 2/3rd of your area.Albeit it isn't completely insignificant, either.
It takes up the centermost part of your territory with a size almost equal to Gig's Setra.
On the other hand I think you can take advantage of this and your diverse lands.
Also the geographical map actually has a scale for us to use so I can more accurately estimate how large my population should be.
Keep in mind though that circa 20% of my population is elvish whithin the core worlds which would obviously shift the demographics.

I'm very interested to see how this turns out since its the first time I've seen you without your precious elves
You haven't seen me enough, then.
Before the elves I had 3-4 civilizations with dwarves and then I had several human civs in various ages, not even counting sci-fi.
I will be basically adopting some concepts from my Super Hungarian faction from a different RP, combine it with Italy and Portugal and then see the results.

My nation would be kind of like a medieval Italy which never fell out from its position.
It'd be a well-developed but small nation centered on commerce and trading but also known for their smiths and other worksmen.
I would be a somewhat relevant power yet certainly not among the top.
