I wonder what happen if you combine the 15m jet engine thingy with this new fuel...
>Evilly laughs evilly
With that I would build a freakin dragon-shaped airship and mount the jet engine FORWARD.

On dragons, I really don't mind them. We alread have air dreadnoughts and strike witches that are more fantastical than a big flying creature on wings.
As for dragon scales them being light more durable than mithril can make sense since they need to be light yet well-protected.
Say, they include carbon-nanotubes or other materials which theoretically can be produced with mostly natural means yet they are both light and tough.Similarly it's obvious why you can't just melt the scales into an armor, albeit high heat resistance would require something other than CNT, at least for something better than steel. Perhaps it's a composite? Again, it could make sense.
Rather than the durability of the scale the concern is because they're too thin. Also because dragons need to get close in order to breathe fire on their foes.
As such it was possible to lure in a dragon and then finish it off with ballistae and other such methods. Dragons were a massive threat but it wouldn't work if they could stomp the rest of the world before gunpowder, even.
Thankfully ballistae actually have quite decent penetration, can punch through 30mm steel. Compare this with what we have on our ww2 tanks and it isn't bad at all.
So dragons can be awesome while the world still had a way to deal with them.
Although I don't think armoring airships with dragon scales is a good idea. Their set thickness means you're bound to have inferior amount compared to what the various air warships do have. And at massive cost, since it comes from your limited dragon population.
Their use as personal armor is more justified. Same with tanks or perhaps airplanes.

Albeit it makes me wonder, wouldn't the dragons be suspicious about the DTF? I mean I bet others tried to ue their extracts as our version of the "Greek Fire" so why don't they get the same vibes if somebody suddenly comes up with a "miraculous formula" as super propellant?
Also I feel if it comes from the dragons you won't be able to extract that much on the overall scale. You'd need tens of thousands of tons per year to make a big difference. So DFT would be a very rare strategic resource for you in comparison which I suppose you'd only use in the direst situations in the most over-engineered designs.

I didn't say make it work worthless mate, it can be extremely powerful but how about just making it more volatile?
Yeah, the non-volatile part didn't make sense to me, either.
If it has twice the energy content then by layman's terms it produces twice as much boom when burned.
Or does it mean it has a massive starting temperature? Can kinda make sense but then it's questionable how the dragons could breathe fire. I mean producing hundreds of degrees in temperature is anything but healthy within your bod.
But well, same could be said about biological flamethrowers so whatever.

Do you even need guns then? You could literally topple over navies in your wake and at least screw with sub. Hell, you could probably just bring a whole load of AA guns for aircraft and then ram everything else.

The only way I see it could be destroyed is if you got a whole bunch of ships and planes to kamikaze the fuck out of it which Fuso is more than willing to do muwahaha

That does also mean its going to be stuck on open water unless you want your coastal cities to take friendly tsunami fire when it comes in to dock.

Toot toot mofos, the elven overcompensation ship has no breaks!
Not really. While I do need to move metric tons of water at high speed how do you think other warship propulsions work? The unit is also mostly underwater so if you are 10-50m away from the ship you are fine. It also has auxiliary nozzles for lower speeds because otherwise how do you operate it any lower velocity? That and in lower output this thing is actually very economical since you reach the same speed as other vehicles due to its huge mass flow. Albeit is size also makes anything bellow 30 knots inefficient so yeah, hence the auxiliary nozzles with much smaller diameter.

As for ramming ships, it may work if this were a cheap ship bit as the crown jewel of Yllendthyr any scratch on it is an offense. Granted given its speed and mass it would probably ram through the side of destroyers at full speed as if nothing has been there.

And then Fuso has its proper Yamato super battleships

Also, the 15 meter jet powered boat thingy @Willy Vereb's high as fuck elves are making which may or may not explode upon ignition
I made a roll using 4 fudge dices.
Its result was +2 aka "great success". No idea jow this happened but it means you'll meet this crazy battleship in the future.
Albeit I changed its propulsion from simple jet to turboshaft-driven pumpjet. Which in common tongue means it's going to blast localized tsunamis from its behind as its way of travel.
Subtle as hell.

Add to that list that Ceres has submarine dreadnoughts, Avalia has air dreadnoughts, and Moravia has tanks and artillery so massive that you could call them land dreadnoughts. So a few nations have really big war machines.
Well, while my supreme airship is far from a dreadnought it's still probably the single largest vehicle in use.
They are 542m long and filled with 4 million cubic meters of kavuria in nearly hundreds of thousands of gas chambers.
Albeit aside from the advantages gained from its size the Ylweran isn't such a threat. Granted that alone is enough. Since their creation three decades ago absolutely none of them got taken down. They are just too big in general.

@Willy Vereb

I figred as much, but I was trying to gauge how far into 1940's we were delving. Don't get me wrong, and you'll see from my ns once i'm done with it, I'm not going to be a tech giant type so don't worry about me stealing any thunder.

I was merely curious :)
No problem at all.
As for tech?
We have medium and heavy tanks, SPGs, SPAGs and generally all the classic vejicle types from WW2. Worths noting since this wouldn't be the same in OTL during this early.
Airships are quite popular and thanks to Kavuria you can effectively make warships on air. Granted, Avalia is by far the greatest producer of this so you gotta import the gas by the metric ton.
Chemical weapons, including some countries having nerve agents, too.
Mechas, mechanical horses, mecha-tanks, etc

@Serpentine88 I appreciate it! I just have to make sure I dont over do it. :D i'll get to writing!!

Edit: curious, we have access to jets?
Jets are availible but at early stages. My heavy fighters are technically "discount Me 262" with poorer power, speed, fuel economy and such and it's only really feasible because mithril is so light.
Well, jet engines could have flown from 1940 but then politics and other BS happened.
Generally this game allows mid-ww2 tech along with mechs and other dieselpunk inventions for the sake of having diversity.

That being said no problem with jets.
Actually with ww2 tech propeller driven fighters often better.
USA kept props in their military until the late 50s.
@MetalLoverWe technically have the four faction profiles or even more. They just aren't posted up.
Can't players who are ready begin to post.
Though I am technically speaking in the name of others since I am busy enough with other things before I can post. Granted, depending on what others write it may give me the well-needed inspiration.

They might abandon some claims if it's favorable to them. They probably be more interested in control of the Mediterranean, and with you bordering the Byzantines...
Why are you interested in Byzantine's territories when most of them are in Europe?
Ah, I see. Brits make claims whatever is more convenient for the nation they negotiate with. Better make note of this when I get to talk with their representatives next.

@duck55223Your percentage of Hindi believers is a bit too low.
35% Indians and only 10% of your people are Hindi?
And what happened to Buddhism or even the Islam?
Not to mention in this day and age I think the percentage of atheists in your traditional English speaking countries would be rather high.

Also what part they seek to retake? ou have practically all the British territories that matter.
Unless you wish to include America, parts of France and basically everything which was ever under British authority.

Anyways, if your nation continues such expansionist politics I don't think you'll be on very good terms with Neo Hungaria.
