@Zetsuko It's cool man, I've seen my friend play that as well. Looks very intense, so it's completely understandable! ^^b
I don't want to speak for the DM, but once we post the OOC with the number of schools/type and location of schools, you could make a student from any of the choices. Although we may want to limit the number of candidates allowed from each. As for the why of these students being chosen, it'll be a part of the plot that is being hashed out by @dee, @PhunkyPhoebe, and myself. If you think you'd enjoy being one of the NPCs, PM dee and let her know along with any suggestions you have! I don't mind if you PM me as well, but mostly for plot ideas please.

@Legion02 It won't be a single event like the Tri-Wizard tournament. Think more like a transfer program, with the students traveling to each school to learn of the culture and magic disciplines specialized to the nation of the school.

@M00N That is along the lines of what's being discussed as of right now. However it won't be by mischievous meddling, it'll be by design ;]

@HaleyTheRandom I was thinking the same thing, there are simply going to be too many staff members involved for them to be legitimately playable characters. Posts by said characters of said positions would have to be coordinated with GM and Co-GMs first so as not to disturb any plans for plot. =)

If it helps you guys in possible character development, we'll need students advanced beyond say 4th or 5th year level, so plan accordingly!
Not particularly, unless @Zetsuko gets on before you have to make your plot post. It's just conversation anywway, no biggie. I'm good to go whenever you're ready to post.

Sorry Zetsuko, I forget to mention you when I interacted with Kieran >.<
Oscar pushed the trolley with two hands, wondering where he was supposed to enter the platform. His legal guardian, the orphanage administrator, had told him a rather detailed description of the platform and how he was supposed to board. He finally reached platform eight, nine, and... there was ten. Oscar maneuvered the unwieldy cart loaded with all the essentials of a year at Wizarding school, including Helios's cage covered by a spare ratty blanket. Ocelots weren't common in normal society and Oscar didn't want to be fined for possession of an exotic animal, with no permit.

One he felt his heel against platform nine's wall and was facing ten, Oscar stopped and gathered his nerve. It was natural they said, like riding a bicycle after the first time. "Well, here goes nothing!" Oscar said to himself, before beginning his trot, then jog. The wall was approaching and looking all too solid, but the boy knew this to be false. Yet everything screamed danger! Then he was through and the Scarlet Express stood in all its glory. "WOOHOO!" he exclaimed, drawing odd looks from even stranger looking people than himself. Oscar looked at the time and realized it was getting close to the time for departure!

He found a man to help him lift his trolley to the storage area. He slung on his rucksack with all of the things he'd want to fiddle with during the long ride. He'd already read through Hogwarts, A History and was abuzz with anticipation. He'd read a bit of his Charms book and was poring over Potions Making. It was intensely interesting to Oscar, all of those ingredients with such potent effects if done properly! And the infinite number of ways he could use such expertise to make fun on others wasn't lost on the mischievous boy either. So he had both textbooks in his bag, two separate notebooks for each of the subjects, and odds and ends that might help him pass the time, like muggle's chess board. While Oscar enjoyed the Wizarding version better, he was annoyed that he always had to buy new pieces in order to keep playing.

With his bag and Helios's cage, Oscar made his way down the compartments, looking for one that was a bit more empty. One like a party already, but he wanted a bit of quiet for once. The idea of finally beginning his magical education had left Oscar feeling pensive and he wanted an opportunity to decompress from it all. He chanced upon a compartment with only one boy in it who was engrossed in the first year's Charms' textbook. This was the sort of guy Oscar wanted to befriend, someone after his own heart. And if he was a serious sort, it'd be even more enjoyable to prank the boy! He rapped on the compartment twice to give notice before opening the glass door. "Hello there! My name's Oscar Coutts, pleased to meet you." Oscar decided to flash one of his charming smiles that always seemed to smooth over first meetings. "Do you mind if I settle down here?"

@Heathen
Name: Oscar Coutts

Age: 12

Appearance:

Personality: Oscar is a natural delinquent and rogue, but very friendly. There's never a moment that he doesn't want to spring up and just do something. Intensely loyal, the boy treats his own with a teasing but affectionate manner. Oscar is not shy when it comes to introducing himself and is known to always stop if a pretty girl catches his eye. Being such a handful, Oscar is a high-octane boy with a heart of gold to match. He's known to be intensely protective of his friends and will go to any lengths to defend them. However, he's loathe to admit when he's wrong, thinking that his way is the right way. The hardest thing for Oscar is to say he was wrong or apologize.

History: Oscar Coutts comes from a long line of Purebloods, but after a magical accident from a spell his parents had been designing, he was left an orphan. With no extended family or next of kin, Oscar went to a prestigious orphanage, as was his parent's will. It doesn't feel like any sort of home, but when they were asking where he'd like to go to school, there was no other choice. Oscar wished to find out anything and everything he could about his parents from Hogwarts, their alma mater. He'd been only five when the incident occurred. The boy was scared that he might forget the memory of his parents and desperately wished to keep the strenuous connection.

Blood Status: Pureblood

Wand: Willow, Threstal Hair core, 15" 3/4

Wand Description: The wand is slightly on the longer side and is supple. It's reasonably thick, molded at the handle to provide a truly secure grip. Set in its pommel is a jet stone, carved and gilded with the Coutts' signature lettering. Thick at the bottom, as if four to five pencils were taped together, it tapers an inch from the tip, giving the wand an elegant look. Almost like veins, the handle also has gilded grains to provide a very fashionable appearance.

Pet: Helios, ocelot

"Ah, so you have different styles depending on which blade you use, interesting." Azrael stated, watching as the swords appeared in the empty hilts. If only his blade did something other than never wear or break. "I've taken quite a few classes, so we'll probably be seeing each other again." Az was glad he'd see a couple of familiar faces in his classes. Again, he noted the curious sword belt Kieran had. "I'm curious, is the floating unique to your swords and magic, or could I get something similar for my own blade? It's a bit of an antique." Azrael affectionately patted the pommel of his hilt in a familiar fashion.

@Zetsuko @Eklispe

"Forged by battle, were we?" Azrael asked with a larger smile. His lessons had been similar, many days of his flesh being bruised, battered, and hardened by the harsh training of the Spirits. "My training was similar, but not by the passing challenger." "I signed up for a fair bit of everything. These classes should prove to be a real challenge, I can't wait to start learning either." Sol's enthusiastic mood was infectious. Az felt a bit lighter because of it, a stress relief that he sorely needed. He shifted from foot to foot, getting a little stir-crazy in the close quarters. He turned to the other boy, noting his unique sword handles and the way they simply hovered as if hung from a sword belt. It was an ingenious way to keep your blade on you and Azrael promised to himself to ask about the spell work necessary.

"What about you Kieran? Did you learn under a swordsmaster or are you a soldier of fortune as well? Any classes you're particularly looking forward to?" Azrael asked, not wanting for the third party to feel shunted from the conversation. These two would be excellent training partners. Azrael thought of Aleksandra as well, who would be a good addition. With these three, the other well-versed students, and the intensive and advanced classes about to begin the boy easily saw that his powers could grow by leaps and bounds if he just made the most of it.

A bit of an altercation caught Azrael's eye for a moment. It seemed Chen had found some equally rowdy students and they were like peas in a pod. Azrael's fierce new friend might have found a woman after his own heart. Through the moving bodies, Azrael glimpsed a drawn knife and wondered if Chen would be alright? But the situation seemed to resolve as quickly as it started.
