@VitaVitaAR ... Alright fine. It doesn't even matter, but if it's such a big deal to you, then fine. But I am putting zero effort into this inconvenient edit.
@VitaVitaAR

Ok, but YOU edited your post to make it say she wasn't grabbed AFTER I was already typing. >>

Either way, Youmu is free and Magnus' arm got chopped. The end result is the same. I really loathe to have to edit again when it doesn't even matter.
@VitaVitaAR

What??

"Demon man rounded on her and lunged, one thick arm grabbing for her throat."

This totally looks like you said he grabbed her throat. That's the only reason I went with it.

Actually, wait a minute. you edited your post right after you posted it. You DID say Magnus grabbed her originally.
I take it you didn't look at the bio.

Unless Gil's got nukes stashed in that vault of his, I'm not sure random projectiles are going to do much good.

- Daemon Magnus -

- Area 2 -

Magnus didn't even feel it when he stepped into the path of the chainsword, its monomolecular teeth finding previously-burned and damaged daemonflesh between the plates of his armor. Failing to interrupt Magnus' stride, the chainsword was torn out of Lugi's hand, breaking fingerbones with it as it stuck in the quickly healing flesh.

A split-second later, MAGNUS DID NOT GRAB YOUMU'S THROAT. He glared at her like one who glares at a sheep about to be slaughtered, with no heart and no remorse. In his left hand the Blade of Magnus, still wet with dragon's blood, had reformed into a kopesh, a curved Egyptian style sword perfect for beheading. Now, he would get his way.

Still the child had some fight. Magnus remained unmoved as she struck Hakurouken through his right arm. He noticed that she still held her other...

"What am I doing?" ...

Magnus blinked and stared at the face of a human girl whom he was holding by the throat. Instantly, a long, hot sword came down between them and seared its way cleanly through his right arm, severing it from his body.

Crying out in blinding pain, the girl and his arm both fell to the ground in a splash of raw magic and blood. What the hell was going on!? He was under attack! Staggering back a few steps, Magnus was in a state of mental shock. The chainsword dislodged from his leg as he moved, and he looked to be on the defensive. Attempting to cover his wound with his other arm, he backed away while keeping his eyes on the small gathering of strangers. One was on the ground with a broken hand. One was some kind of dragon-type xeno that was critically wounded and desperately trying to heal itself. And there were others he could not see that were also nearby.

Suddenly, things started to become clear to the confused daemon prince. This wasn't who he was. He didn't have need to threaten any little girls, and he was not ruled by fear. Such ways were beneath him, even as a daemon. Quickly, he uttered something esoteric and an energy field formed around him. He knew these were not his friends, not after what had happened. He also knew that his power was vastly limited and that he had been spending a fair amount of his energy on this pointless battle.

He stepped back, one step at a time, clutching his missing arm. There was little to do now to right the situation. "I'm sorry." He stated in a voice that seemed like it came from a different person. The best thing he could do at this point was to leave. His wings began to open.
@Wraithblade6 So... it's perfectly fair that Magnus is screwed if he runs into Gil, right? Since even limited, Gilgamesh is a terrible matchup for any sort of magic user. :T

Much like with Leman Russ, who was also impervious to magic, Gilgamesh would probably kill Magnus. Magic is Magnus' thing, and even casting enhancement magic on himself to improve his speed and strength, he'd still be too unskilled to hold out in physical combat against a melee expert. The only catch is that Gil would have to have a weapon that could do significant damage. Mag's daemon form is much more durable than his mortal form ever was.
@Tachi Ok. I see what you are worried about now. It's that your character, and possibly others, have zero defense against some of the power that other characters have. This is true, but this is also the way the multiverse type rp's are. Your "x and y" scenario, *IS* the way it is. When you create your character, you have to know who it could stand against and who it is weak to or even completely helpless against.

I took a look at your character, and certainly she is not OP, but there are things you can do with her. Like, if you come up against Darth Vader, and he's going to force choke her, you might be able to say she gets a stunning rift off her axe before he can do it. It's 50:50, either way in that case. Personally, I'd avoid Vader.

I say this not to be mean, but to better prepare you for what to expect as normal in this rp.
@Tachi, you're freaking out. It's ok. It's not how you think. There are characters who can deal with these powers.
@VitaVitaAR

Let's do this. Let the heating be less effective. The sword is very hot and uncomfortable to hold. It is not damaged. The grip is intact.

I feel I should be able to keep the ability to heat metal or telekinetically throw another character, etc., because that's very expected for the character and basic. Any Jedi or Sith could do the same thing, and it's not dodgable for them either. Only will power or magic power or force power or anti-energy could potentially stop something like that. Not something physical. Just cuz one character can't stop it doesn't mean it's an illegal move. @Tachi
@Tachi I understand your concerns, but heating metal is pretty basic. Anybody with metal parts or armor or weapons would be at a disadvantage if they encountered a simple fire mage, or a hellspawn, or any kind of fire-breathing dragon, etc. All I can promise is that I will find a way not to kill people, just like anyone else would do for me.
