The guild hall was a lot quieter now, seeing as it was just a bit after noon, with the sun having climbed and moved slightly past its zenith - though not by much. The quest board was a lot less cluttered as well, with many of the higher ranking and difficult quest-postings taken down and removed, claimed by the veterans of the hall. In fact, the board only sported a handful of postings still, most being of lower difficulty, rank or rewards - the leftovers that nobody else wanted. Infrotn of this sparse selection, two individuals stood regardless - a young girl, foreign and unfamiliar with this region, the toher a vividly colored lizardman, no doubt from the swamps and humid jungles of the more southern parts of the world.

The one observing these two rather distinct individuals was sitting at a table, by herself. She had seen the girl with the wirld hair earlier that day, in the very early morning to be precise. She had left with two others, a hooded boy(?) and another young woman with a very interesting choice of armor. However, a little while ago the hooded one had returned, and after he had left, the girl had arrived - handing over the other girl's halberd... No doubt something bad had happened. Though it didn't seem to have been serious enough to deter the foreigner from now returning to the board to look for a different job. Unflinching, undeterred, stubborn or desperate, sge most certainly was either one or multiple of these things.

The great, muscular, red-scaled lizard-thing on the other hand, had just registered at the counter not long ago and was likely looking for his very first job. The girl had engaged in polite conversation, or rather, asked a polite question - since the great scaly creature was blocking access to the board for anyone else... He didn't seem the most considerate of beings... Or perhaps he was just unaware of his own size? Regardless, the entire scene was rather peculiar. Though not as peculiar as the hooded boy's return, brief report and then almost immediate departure. But perhaps he had somewhere to go, or be? Still, seemed strange not to wait for his companion to arrive.

Whatever the case, the observer - who was a girl with healthy, shiny, caramel-tanned skin and long, black, silky and glossy hair - continued to watch the unfolding events at the quest board, while quietly sipping on a mug of some sweet, fruit-scented drink. She could not claim to be an experienced adventurer herself, not at all, since only having arrived at Palisade Town a week or so ago. Still, she had gone with a party of higher-ranking people before and finished at least one quest, so to see this girl return and look for a new task to do, despite having obviously botched a different quest earlier the very same day, was rather fascinating. In some ways, it was impressive and admirable to have the drive and will to keep moving forward in the face of adversity and set-backs... On the other hand, it was worrying and concerning, be it that she didn't understand her own limits or was trying to push forward to wash away the sting of defeat. Of course, she couldn't make that assumption without asking, so for now, it was better to not think of things that may be incorrect.

"Hey, druid." A voice called out to the girl, and she put down her mug on a wooden coaster, turning her head to the one who had called her.
"Hm, yes? Oh, it's you, Hunter." She said, now facing the man in his early twneties that stood a bit to the side of where she sat.

The man called Hunter was a lean-looking man, with an athletic build, though not muscular or overly bulky. He wore a full set of leather armor and had green cloak, under which a quiver of arrows was attached to a diagonal torso-strap. He also carried a bow and what looked like hunting knives, one on each hip in small, simple sheaths. He had short-cut, brown hair and sharp eyes, but otherwise a rather handsome face, albeit a bit somber-looking.

"You not going out toady?" He asked, eyebrow raised with folded arms infront of himself.
"Maybe a bit later." She answered, smiling in a friendly manner.
"We could always use your help, you know? Hunting some troublesome wolves along the west road." e said, motioning with a thumb over his shoulder towards a small group standing over by a far-off table along the interior wall, busying themselves with packing their gear and getting ready for departure.
"You know I don't particularly like that kind of work." She said, letting out a small sigh.
"Even if the beasts are hurting people?" He asked.
"They hunt and kill to survive, just like we do." She replied.
"Stubborn girl." He said, though he was smiling in a fashion similar to an older brother. "Well, just don't go taking on something too dangerous by yourself."
"Oh? Are you worried about me?"
"Don't be stupid. I just don't want a potential asset to go out and get wasted for no reason." He scoffed, waving her comment off and turning his face away - eyes closed and nose upturned. She giggled happily.
"I'll be careful, don't worry." The pretty girl said with a reassuring tone. The man opened an eye, looked at her and smiled barely noticeably.
"See that you are. Alright,s eee you later, lass. Hey you lot! You ready to move out yet?!" He said, then shouted, as he walked back away from her and towards his companions over by their table. A small outburst of jesting comments and squabble ensued, making the girl still by herself laugh slightly before returning to her drink.
I wanna see the queen in her queen-outfit though... :(
Welcome back, for a bit, Tree. We missed you. ^^

EDIT:
Also, Steppe Archer really is the ebst girl. <3
We sacked 'em, they kept casting 'Holy Smite' instead 'Heal'.
I'm feeling better though, so no worries.
Name: Druid Girl
Age: 16
Race: Human(?)
Gender: Female

Appearance:
Druid Girl is an attractive young woman with healthy, shiny caramel-colored skin, long, silky and glossy black hair as well as bright, sunny eyes with the color of gold. She stands at just above average height, with a well-defined body, ample bosom, taut stomach and curvy legs. She is not slim or slender though, but neither is she chubby or overly plump, instead she sports a healthy and trim physique, with well-sculpted limbs and digits.

As for her attire, it is very simplistic. During late spring through to early autumn, she wears a cropped, hooded vest, a white tight-fitting bandeau on her chest - exposing her midriff completely, along with a pelvic curtain - held in place by a long-tailed sash - with many fabrics woven into it. On her feet she wears a pair of multi-strapped, but simple, sandals and on her forearms she wears a pair of simple cloth bracers. She also adorns her hair with two, long, snow-white feathers - one on each side of her head. Also worth noting is that the sash she wears has a handful of small bells hanging from it. During late autumn to early spring, her "winter clothes" consists of a hooded coat instead of the vest, a woolen shirt instead of the bandeau and a long skirt, with leggings underneath, isntead of the curtained skirt. She also wears boots and gloves instead of the sandals and bracers.

Druid Girl's voice is sweet and gentle, but full of life and vibrant energy. She is very expressive, both in her face and body-language. She has no qualms about showing physical affection for those she likes or cares for, hugging or embracing them without a smidge of embarrassment. By the same token though, it's eaasy to tell when she's upset and/or angry. Also, despite being a human, her unnaturally colored eyes seem to hint at some non-human blood running through her veins, though exactly what is far too distant and far-removed to have any actual impact on her psyche or body.

Height: 5'5" / 166 cm
Eye Color: Gold
Hair Color: Black

Personality:
Druid Girl is a friendly and kind person, with a love for life and the world around her. She is bright and cheerful, but can be mischievous and physically playful - especially with other girls. She loves nature and animals, which were the main reasons she chose to train as a druid in the first place. Additionally, the young woman loves good food and almost all manner of sweets, which often leads to her getting depressed as a druid should not eat or want more food than they actually need. While she likes animals she does not keep pets, and does not like the concept of domestication.

Also, Druid Girl loathes those who are cruel, and even more so if its targeted against those that are weak or unable to defend themselves. She also cannot stand for pointless destruction or those who indulge in great excess. She has a very hard time for anyone who believes in racial supremacy too, as well as those who discriminate agains others because of their species or gender. Unlike many druids or nature-lovers though, she does not begrudge the construction of towns and cities, as long as they don't grow too large or cause too much damage to the surrounding areas. She prefers to be out in the wild though, or at least outdoors, to being couped up inside buildings or indoors, as it can cause her to feel a slight bit of claustrophobia.

Druid Girl also doesn't hold grudges, nor does she stay mad for long. Even if insulted or angered, it will fade rather quickly and she has an easy time returning to her regular, happy and kind self. This, of course, does not apply to beings of an unnatural state though, such as the undead or beings that don't belong in this world. Any and all creatures of this kind are abominations in her eyes, and should be expunged with extreme and immediate measures. She can also get irritated when people whine about things like rain, winter or the sweltering heat of summer, finding it pointless to complain about things that they cannot change, but can handle in one way or another.

In her spare time, she likes to take walks in forests and meadows while singing, as well as checking on the local wildlife and tending to plants and trees.

Likes: Animals, Nature, Kindness, Delicious food, Sweets, All seasons
Dislikes: Cruelty, Wildlife exploitation, Senseless destruction, Unnatural beings (undead, demons, etc), People complaining about weeather and seasons
Hobbies: Singing, Forest strolls, Tending nature, Snacking on foods & sweets, Bathing, Teasing

History:
Druid Girl was born and grew up in a rural village in the western parts of the kingdom. Her parents were simple folk, her father a farmhand and her mother a daycare nurse. From an early age, she was brought along to both parents workplaces, being shown both the importance of crops and the kidness of caring for others. The girl never complained about this though, she loved her family and was happy to be with, and helping them. She espcially liked working with her father, who would show her how different crops grew, how to deal with animals and even how and where to do simple foraging. Her mother taught her more in the ways of showing kindness, the values of helping others and that why not to be spiteful or mean.

It was a peaceful time and though life wasn't always easy, it was still full of warmth of joy. As she grew older, she would take more and more interest in the things that nature could and would provide - flowers, mushrooms, nuts, roots, various types of grass and even the wild beasts that lived there. This growing interest however meant she spent less and less time aiding her parents willingly, which began to cause friction. Eventually, these little disagreements became arguments, and eventually full-blown conflicts. Finallye, Druid Girl left her house after a particularly nasty confrontation with her parents.

She left her home and her village and began to wander the great outdoors. However, even with the little information her father had provided, surviving on her own proved far tougher than she had expected. On the verge of both freezing to death and starving, she was found by a wanderer - a wanderer who happaned to be an arch druid himself. After being fed and being allowd to share his campfire, the girl told her tale and explained herself, her interest and curiosity about nature and the wilds. At first the old man urged her to return to her family, but she insisted that she wouldn't do so until she could prove that her desire to know and explore nature was more than just self-indulgence, she wanted to prove that it could be useful to both her and others. The old druid sighed and told her that, if she so desired, she could become his apprentice - on the condition that once she finished training, she would return to her family and show off the fruits of her labor.

Agreeing in a heartbeat, with the brightest smile this side of the world, Druid Girl had no hesitation or doubts when taking the old man up on his offer. The next few years were spent studying and learning from her mentor, who taught her many things, both about flora an fauna. He taught her how to speak to animals and plants, where to look and how to move to find things or places, as well as teaching her the basic arts of druidic magics. Once she reached about her mid-teens, her master eventually told her that her training was complete, congratuating his student and wishing her well - in addition to reminding her of her promise and the responsabilities she now had as a druid herself.

Returning to her home, Druid Girl was sure that she would be able to show off her knowledge and skills to her parents, allowing them to mend the rift that had been caused those many years ago. Upon her return though, she found that her father had fallen ill and her mother was worked to the bone, having to both care for her sickly husband as well as do her job to bring home money for the pair. When she first arrived, her mother was quick to lecture and scold her, then pointing out her father's condition. However, once the daughter went outside and returned with some plants and herbs, brewed a tea and used her spellcraft to help heal her ailing father, the tune changed quite rapidly. Much bawling and apologizing was had - from both parties - and the reconciliation was a success.

With her father on the road to recovery and with her mother's tearful blessings, Druid Girl agains set out on the road, heading eastward. She had heard that there was a new town in the far-frontier, a place which surely could use the help and skills of a druid to aid in keeping the wilderness in check, or at bay. So she began her journey, on the slippery, slithering pathway of adventure.

Warrior's Rest, Dining Area:

After the young pallum explained that he was looking to do something that nobody else had done before, the old chienthrope rolled his eyes ad lost any and all interest in speaking further with the lad. Tira just chuckled from amusement at the comments her fellow short-stuff had spouted. Either they were privvy to something the newcomer was not, or his perspective and desire was simply misdirected - in their eyes. It was hard to tell, given that neither person was willing to elaborate. In fact, Grent seemed to have fallen asleep, as his eyes had closed and he was just breathing slowly.

"I wouldn't worry to much 'bout it." Tira said, turning to Triss. "Lady Athena ain't one to be unreasonable, I'm sure if you give it your all in whatever ya do, it'll work out." She smiled in a friendly fashion.

At that point though, a voice called out from the stairway. It was Athena, apparently having come down from her room to fetch the next person.

"Next was... The Renard-girl, Ayame, wasn't it? Please come with me, dear." The Goddess called, softly and calmly, though she did glance over her shoulder at the front door, through whcih a certain human-girl had more or less barged out of earlier.

Once the renard decided to come along, they'd ascend up to the third floor and go through the same process as before. Sitting on the bed, getting Ayame's upper body unclothed, imprinting the falna and then having a bit of a Q&A afterwards. Rather routine all things considered, though hopefully this one would suffer verbal diarrea after the blessing was bestowed and run out of the home as if they needed to use a very specific bathroom...

"Wha's this? Lady Athena inviting people to her chambers? I'll be..." A gruff-sounding voice came from the second floor, somewhat behind Athena. The Goddess turned her head, eyes half-closed and a mix of amusement and also exasperation on her face.

"Ah, Brozar... Finally up I see, even though it is close to noon."
"Gwahahaha! Me 'n the voluptuous lass stayed up late and had a little drinkin' contest last night." The dwarf, who now slowly descended the stairs, roared in good spirits. Athena looked moderately amused.
"I take it with her, it wasn't much of a contest."
"Nope, fell asleep after just two tankards. Such a lightweight that lass be. Still, always fun to watch her sleepin', stupified face! GWahaha! But, oh! What's this? What's this!?" He laughed, then paused. His eyes falling on the refined renard-girl sitting alone. "Well, ain't this a sight for me sore eyes! Lady 'thena! Who's that ravishing beauty?" He asked, tugging at Athena's sleeve like a young child.
"That girl is Ayame, Brozar. She's here to join our Familia."
"By the ... Well, YOU!" He looked at Athena. "Ain't that a bit of wonderful news." He exclaimed excited, making his way over to the much younger girl with a bright and wide smile on his face, eyes twinkling as if he was looking at something extraordinary.
"Nice to meet'cha, miss Ayame! Me name's Brozar, pleasure to meetin' ya!" He announced, standing before the fox-girl and giving her a - what was likely his best attempt - cordial bow, like a gentleman. Something that made Tira burst out in laughter.

"Brozar, you just wanna squeeze her butt when she stands up!" The pallum chirped, laughing heartily.
"Hah! What's wrong with 'at? She'll be family soon enough!" The dwarf roared back in laughter, scratching the back of his head one with hand.
"... Please excuse them, Ayame... They're just excited to have new family-members." Athena said, face held in her own cupped hand, slightly blushing at the cheeks due toher rowdy children.
The walk back through the sewers was uneventful, sluggish, but uneventful. Guard Lady did appreciate the foreign girl's optimism and genuine friendliness though, it was a pleasant silver-lining to this otherwise rather miserable endeavor. She decided that she liked this archer, she seemed like a good person - her other companion though... Not so sre about him. He didn't seem like a bad person, and he had shown some concern for her back at the alcove, but still. Something about him was strange, his mannerisms, his actions... Heck, she hadn't even gotten a good look at this face! Still, people had their reasons for doing things, and prying into private matters wasn't something se was about to do just to sate her own selfish curiosity.

As they drew closer to the manhole they had crawled down from, Guard Lady could tell that something was up though. Each step felt a bit heavier than the next and she began to feel slightly winded. Strange, she didn't think herself so unfit as to get exhausted from a bit of mere walking. Perhaps it was the air down here was starting to get to her? After all, she had been forced to breathe through her mouth this entire time, what with the herb-sticks jammed up her nostrils.

After Shade and Steppe Archer had climbed out, it was her turn. As she ascended the old ladder though, the slight feeling of weariness began to flare up, causing her to nearly lose her grip. Clutching down hard with both hands and pulling herself close tot he ladder, she had to pause and catch her breath, before slowly - very slowly - climbing on up to her allies. Draggin her weapon out of the hole and helping her two compatriots move the manhole-cover back over the gaping pit, she finally fell backwards on her behind, taking small, hurried quips of air.

The archer suggested they bathe and wash their clothes first, then go pick up another quest. However, Guard Lady wasn't so sure she agreed with that idea. They neeeded to report to the Guild about their failure, as well as the fact that this quest was far too difficult for a group of fresh porcelain adventurers tot ake on! She still held a bit of a irate resentment towards the guild's apparent lack of properly determining what was an appropriate difficulty-curve... Still, first thing's first!

Shlop! Schlerp!

"Aah... That's much be-BLUUUAAAAAARGH!!"

Still sitting on the ground, the young woman had pulled the herb-sticks out of her nose to get some fresh air... Unfortunately, the fresh air she so desired was sadly overpowered by the stench of herself and her two, close-by allies. The foul odor of sewage, rat-feces and amonia that clung to her and their entire beings was so pungant and repulsive that as soon as her nose caught a whiff of it, her gag-reflex instinctively caused the poor lass to throw up, right there on the spot, in the middle of the street... Right after the archer had asked how she was doing too... Quite comedic, if it hadn't been so repulsive and pitiable.

At this point though, Guard Lady could feel her head begin to spin a bit, her vission also became unfocused and blurred at the edges... Something was wrong. Very, very wrong. She reached her gloved hand back onto her neck, feeling about for a bit before returning it infront of her face to have a look.

"B-blood? But... Why? There waasn't any earli-Uulp!" She placed the hand over her mouth to hold back another glob of bile that was on its way out of her mouth.

Some passers-by that had seen the trio escape the sewers, and now witnessed one of them outright vomit, began to frantically gasp or let out frighttened shouts, some murmured and whispered while others loudly proclaimed the girl to be diseased and a plague-bearer. The young woman herself was far too conerned with her heavy breathing to notice the world around her though, just sitting up straight was beginning to become more and more of a struggle.

"May... Maybe I sh.. should go visit the Temple f-first." She suggested, trying her best to put on a brave face with a smile... With a thin streak of puke still dripping down from one corner of her mouth... Nasty.
Yes, I'm overjoyed to have sucha horrible, horrible person back. Things simply weren't the same without her condescending and awful persona. xD
No, seriously, she's a terrible person, but I love her for it. :)
Welcome back, Vertigo.
Caught some kind of illness this past Wednesday and have been ill since then. In light of this, nobody should feel the need to rush or stress over posting, as I'm not likely going to be able to churn out anything myself at any reasonable pace, unless this crappy sickness goes away. :(
Removed 'Rat Hunt' and replaced it with 'Night-watch', since our group took on that quest it shoulda been removed, but I forgot doing that earlier. 'Cuz I'm a derp.
