My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

"Oh how I wish I could say I was going to miss you," she said, grabbing her bag. "And you," she said to the man in the passenger seat, putting a hand on his shoulder, "you're not that bad. Look me up if you ever need a +1 to your party." With that, Jennifer exited the vehicle. She slung her bag over her shoulder and rubbed her wrists. The little things that people take for granted everyday end up being the most rewarding, that's for sure. She turned around to watch the vehicle speed off, and after they were out of sight, she made her way over to the sidewalk to sit on the curb and put her shoes on. She hadn't noticed it before, but the street was somewhat deserted. Jennifer didn't pay much mind to the lack of people, or cars for that matter, as she checked her phone again. The battery was at 5% now. Seriously, who designs these things?

Jennifer looked in various directions, but she knew she was lost. She figured it was best to not stand around looking the part though, and she made her way to the nearest intersection. There would probably be a corner store that would have nice enough employees to guide her in the right direction. That, or she'd just find a map. A real one. As she started walking, she dug inside her bag to find her wallet. Being lost without any money was always a pain in the neck, not that she would know.

Melanie Chamberlin

Water dripped onto her shoulders as she ran the comb through her short hair. Melanie's reflection in the mirror was that of a woman completely uninterested with the ship's departure. Not that it didn't pain her, but she chose to not let it get to her. Even though she was always helping people, talking them down from their misery, the hardest patient was always yourself. Satisfied with how she looked, she stepped out of the tiny bathroom and proceeded to fetch some clothes from the drawer. It was a comforting thought knowing that she didn't have any more appointments today, regardless of the fact that people were always seeking help, but what was one more day here, right? She slipped on a silky blouse saved only for social gatherings or for whenever she was not in the office. After putting on some beige pants and comfortable shoes, she grabbed a few more of her belongings and stepped out of her room.

She arrived at her favourite bar--the only one she'd been at since she settled in--not too long after leaving her room. Melanie greeted the bartender, Craig, who seemed to be more interested in work than witnessing the departure.

"The usual?" he asked, throwing a small towel over his shoulder and leaning forward on his hands. Melanie smiled with a nod, and looked around the empty floor. "Yeah, I guess it's just you and I for now," he added as he poured Melanie her drink. "But I bet you anything that the roof will blow off this place in about an hour or so."

"Why do you think I came now?" she replied.

The both laughed, Craig handing her the drink and dismissing her payment when she dropped it on his side of the counter. "On the house, trust me, no one will know," he said with a wink.

"Thank you," she said with another smile. As she took a sip of her drink, Melanie's mind drifted back to her favourite memory: that of her and her parents celebrating her 12th birthday. It was her favourite because it's the one she remembered best, back when their lives were much simpler. A sudden and unexpected wave of regret made Melanie's eyes swell with tears threatening to fall down her cheeks. Who knows what could have happened had she never left home? Would she too have been murdered, or would she have been able to save her parents? It's a thought that often haunted her, and today was no exception.
@Xandrya So 3vs1? Sounds more like gangrape then a brawl :P

Well from the looks of it, Luke just wants to eat his food, and Madison isn't going to go against Vlad again because she still has that fresh wound and all. So maybe it'll be just you and Kain, if Dark is up for it of course.

If anything, I'll just send Madison over to the table and once she notices Luke has her bag, she'll blame both him and Vlad.

I use to live there, I have a lot of friends in the area. Thanks. As far as I know everyone I know is good. But that's really awesome of you.

I'm glad to hear they're safe. I live a few hours away but I'm guessing the blood drive is happening throughout the state. Unfortunately, I'm anemic and my hemoglobin happened to be particularly low today. I always have to give myself a few additional pounds on paper to meet the minimum weight requirement as well, not that it was an issue prior to a few years ago, but they're always altering guidelines and whatnot. At least I can say I tried though.
Jennifer

"Ow, fuck..." Jennifer rubbed her eyes in an attempt to clear her mind and alleviate the colossal headache that had woken her up. She was groggy, and the dryness in her mouth was a sure sign that she had been out of it for more than a couple of minutes; that, and she was in Nate's vehicle again, only this time in the company of the tattooed stranger.

"I take it none of you died? What a shame." Jennifer wasn't expecting a response, and truth be told, she didn't want one. Instead, she motioned for one of the Nates sitting next to her to undo her seatbelt. When he only gave her the typical Nate look, she sighed in frustration and unbuckled it herself. Using her two hands, not that she had much of a choice because she was, as one might have guessed, still handcuffed, Jennifer reached into her bag to fetch her phone. She frowned upon her discovery that it only had a 12% battery charge, so she hurried through the contact list until she found the name she was looking for and proceeded to dial out. After a couple of rings, Jennifer felt a dash of relief when the person on the other end of the line finally picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Jen. Can you do me a favor?"

"Yes, of course. Is everything all right?"

"Yes, everything's fine. Listen, I need you to do something for me. I need you to void the contract, effective immediately."

There was a short pause before Harrison spoke again.

"Jenny, I--"

"Don't, I already know what you're going to say. I'll be expecting a copy of the file within the next few minutes. And Harrison? I'm not asking you anymore, I'm telling you."

Not caring for anything further he had to say, Jennifer hung up the phone and turned to Nate. "I don't know where we're heading, but I'm going to need you to take these off now so that I can put some shoes on and be on my way. And don't worry about your job, Harrison knows not to blame you for the breach of contract."

Jennifer smiled triumphantly knowing that it was only a couple of minutes before she could walk out and never looked back. She didn't care whose mess this was, but she wasn't going to keep risking her life because someone wanted to play "Curious George".

Who would have thought that my bag would be so controversial.

P.S.: I set it up so that there can be an all-out brawl if you guys wish. Vlad is getting hostile with Luke, Kain knows what happened between Madison and Vlad, and Madison just spotted Vlad amongst the crowd.

EDIT: @KuramaaaZ @Dark Light @Inertia
Madison

"Oh, hey Kain!" she gave him a half-hearted smile, glad she could interact with another student who wasn't so full of himself. "Yeah, about this... Apparently my teacher--Mr. Kessinger--says it happens to nearly every first year fire student. We don't get along with each other very well, although I'm willing to bet anything that Vlad doesn't get along with anyone. He's my classmate, and unfortunately the only other student in that class. We had a bit of a fallout, resulting in this, but it's nothing some ointment and time won't heal."

She stopped talking to place her order, roasted chicken with a side of garlic mashed potatoes.

"But enough about me, how has your first day been so far?"

As she turned to Kain, she looked past him when she noticed the familiar, tall redheaded student. Madison's smile dropped, and she whispered "he's here", not to Kain, but more as a sign of disbelief.

I know you didn't specifically mention lining up, so if your not in line that's ok.
Or I can always edit. :)

It is fine, believe me. I have a post written up but haven't had a chance to post yet. I'll get to it when I get home in a bit :)
Thank you gentlemen, I'll take it from here. I am donating blood for the Orlando victims after work, but I'll post once I'm home.
Madison

"Uh...right." Vlad had woken up, and his terrible attitude was back, meaning additional unpleasantries were about to be exchanged. Unless Madison left the room, it was lunch time, after all. "Thanks, Mr Kessinger, for patching me up." She shot a dirty look at Vlad and without saying another word, left the room.

She headed towards the grand hall for lunch, along with a parade of other students from various classes. Madison tried her best not to get too close to anyone in order to avoid getting bumped into. Who knows how bad that would hurt. As she saw some of the kids on their phones, probably talking to their family, friends, or significant others, Madison realized she had left her bag back in Mr. Kessinger's office. She cursed under her breath, not because she missed her phone, but because Vlad might discreetly take something that didn't belong to him. The rational part of her knew that the likelihood of that happening was low, but her judgement was clouded at the moment.
