Current The ENT doc to me: "it's not looking so good in there". I know, doc. Please fix my nose, and maybe tell the VA to approve my claim.

@Jewel - get something you can live with for the rest of your life. What is something you’d never not be passionate about? I don’t regret my tattoo; I’m removing it for another reason.

Wow, Regan's bark is on point!

Either way, I don't think I'll ever get another pet. My hedgehog's death due to a respiratory infection was a little too heartbreaking for me.
Please keep your pitchforks away since well... I'm not a fan of dogs. I hate the hair they shed, how needy they are and the fact they have to be walked on a regular basis. They bark over any silly thing and it's terribly annoying. Oh, and if they don't make it out in time they'll leave a mess anywhere.

Cats are assholes, but at least they aren't as high maintenance.

I'm a stick figure with curves. Who knows how many times I went hungry as a child but my Cuban overlords didn't let me down completely. I'm also 5'0 and the amount of crap I get from my coworkers is insane, especially given our field.
@Gunther

I have not, but just last night I slept with hair rollers on and resting on my face wasn't all that comfortable. Using the mask does sound worse though.

@The Harbinger of Ferocity

I remember the day I was sprayed. The instructor was yelling in my face and I told him I couldn't see nor breathe and then he mentioned if I was talking I was breathing. Shut me up right away.
To add, my time in the gas chamber after we were ordered to remove our masks wasn't all that bad. Some people appeared to be dying, meanwhile I appreciated the clean sinuses.

On the other hand, being pepper sprayed nearly incapacitated me, but I managed to go through all the offensive/defensive fighting stations and aced it.

Depending on the timing, I should be facing the taser in roughly six months. Not looking forward to it.

Yesterday I went to bed with earplugs on and I'm happy to report I slept through the night without being woken up by Satan's snores.
In time for a crisis!

Rachel opened the door, the sudden brightness making her squint. Not too long ago, Detective Rossi had advised her that she was free to go, and she was neither surprised nor relieved when he delivered the news.

The first thought to cross her mind upon setting foot on the sidewalk was the inevitable reaction from not only her classmates, but the rest of the student body as well. At the very least, she would be front and center amid a campus-wide gossip fest. That meant enduring giggly whispers just out of hearing range, getting nasty looks from passersby, and being avoided due to certain "concerns". But simply put, none of it bothered Rachel. Sure, almost no one liked being perceived as dangerous enough to pull a homicidal stunt, but that wasn't the case for the young woman.

I'm not guilty...never was, she thought to herself, turning into Broadway. As she walked on, Rachel contemplated stopping by the college for a brief moment, but quickly dismissed the thought. She set her eyes on a local joint which was practically opened all day and night save for a few hours early in the morning. Walking into the bar, Rachel noticed she caught the attention of a few patrons. She tensed for a moment before reminding herself she was nowhere near that level of infamy.

"Hello miss, would you like a menu?" The bartender smiled at Rachel as she took a seat on one of the empty barstools.

"No, I'm alright. Just a gin and tonic please."

"Will do."

"Not bad."

Rachel turned her head to the stranger seated next to her. "Glad you approve of my drink selection," she replied sarcastically, making him chuckle in response.

The two introduced themselves and went on to talk before Rachel's drink arrived. It was only a matter of minutes before their conversation mirrored that of a couple of friends who've known each other for years.
I'm still alive, yes, and working on something which should be up by the weekend

But please no critiquing...looking at you, @Retired
