My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

As of lately I've been obsessing over Charlie Puth's voice. That man can sing!

Not too long into her adventure, Beatrice came across a member of the ship, one that made quite the initial impression on her. He stood tall, towering well above her. To anyone witnessing such scene, their encounter may seem almost comical due to such contrasting heights. But going beyond appearances, she was addressed in a rather polite manner. Not that she was expecting any sort of hostility to begin with. When inquired about her whereabouts, Beatrice introduced herself with her name and position, even going as far as showing her orders assigning her to the Prize. Such action wasn't required, but it was merely a formality she was used to whenever arriving somewhere new. Once that was over, Beatrice voiced her concern. She honestly had no idea where she was going, although in hindsight she could have very easily pulled up the ship's blueprints as such data would not have taken more than mere seconds to be accessible through her pad. Oh well, could have should have. At least now she had met a crew member and she wouldn't be a complete stranger to them anymore. Beatrice was not a fan of being the "newbie", for lack of a better term. But after all was said and done, she had been shown where her quarters was located. She was beyond thankful for the help, and she made sure to express her appreciation with her own kind words in return.

Once alone, it didn't take long for Beatrice to get comfortable. Without a doubt that moment had been the best part of her day. Second best would probably be whenever she got some food in her system, but that would be addressed later on. Beatrice had some work to do as well; the thought in the back of her mind kept nagging at her as if she were one to forget things easily. That would be true in some instances, but not all that likely with work. The very next thing to do was set up shop, which honestly wasn't much to begin with, and she could link up to the ship's system.

The jump through the wormhole jolted Beatrice in her chair. She tensed up momentarily before relaxing again. Regardless of the number of boring trainings she'd sat through, the woman could never not react.

Later on, when they were all gathered, Beatrice sat quietly listening to the briefing. She was looking forward to getting off the ship and exploring whatever technology this planet had. The challenge in figuring out alien tech was one of the reasons Beatrice enjoyed doing her job, and even though she was eager to get moving, she listened to some ideas the others were discussing. The had good points, though given her position her routine would consist of accompanying Carabello and whoever else would join out there in order to meet this Holy Vei. But her business couldn't be rushed either. She would have to wait until some form of understanding was reached before even thinking about bringing up any sort of talk regarding their level of technology.

"Captain, if I may, I'd like to join you. If nothing more, it'd give me a chance to take a look at what these individuals are working with."

For Beatrice, it seemed a bit odd to refer to Carabello by rank. They'd been good friends in the academy, always joking about one of them ending up working for the other, and now their back-and-forth had become reality. Their relationship was on good terms when they both had to go their own separate route for work, and whenever they had some free time, Beatrice planned to pick up where they'd left off, or somewhat close to it at least.
I recently updated my personal information for my alumni profile. Now I'm debating whether I should contact the university to have them change my name on my master's degree as I graduated while married but have since gone back to my maiden name.
@Gunther

Joder, el tío necesita ayuda...

Watch Money Heist with subtitles. Boy did I learn a lot, and that's without the lingo I already knew. I mentioned this before but on that trip the accent stuck and it stayed with me for a few days after I returned home. My great grandparents were born there so if you drop me off for a week I'm pretty sure I can pass off as a local given I already have the looks.
Years ago I traveled to Spain. To this day I still have the blanket I took from the flight back home. Now whenever I feel cold on the couch or something, I use it and it's great.
I love roasted, slightly salted peanuts.
She hadn't put away her pad just yet when an alert rang, informing her of an incoming message. Beatrice took a glance and saw a message from someone named Nick, presumably the one to be running the show. Maybe it was the default auto-reply to newcomers. Or maybe he was out and about and had to keep it brief. They had just docked, and there was nothing like getting off a ship after being out regardless of the length or severity of the mission. Whatever the reason, Beatrice just wanted to get some rest. Get off her feet for a couple of hours, a beverage in one hand and maybe the book in the other. In the moment, that would be extremely nice. But she couldn't have it all, at least not the drink. She would still have to attend a briefing and maybe do a quick walk-through if they did that sort of thing aboard the Prize. Though if the head honcho was away, Beatrice could play, and her definition of play was to lie down and listen to a relaxing playlist with her sleeping mask on. Or at least, that was the idea.

First, she would have to find her quarters. Once more, Beatrice turned to her pad. She messed around for a few moments but there wasn't any special note regarding room assignments. That was either a system error or any one free room was up for grabs. If she did went ahead and moved into any room she chose, there really wouldn't be any repercussions. The worst that could happen was she'd have to pack up her stuff and be reassigned. Beatrice liked those odds, and so her plan was to continue to walk until she found someone who could guide her in the right direction.

I'd get you back but being you were Army is punishment enough.
I lurk the Navy website a lot.

Hello, welcome. We've been expecting you.

Yes, I was a squid.

Go Navy beat Army!
The young woman shouldered the bag that had been by her feet, watching the crowd around her. She had put away the book she had just purchased from the quirky individual in the corner. An actual book, one with numbered pages and even a note from the author on the inside of the cover. The purchase had been accidental too. Originally, Beatrice was looking for a snack. She came across the small stand selling a variety of items to include various foods, but she spotted a small bowl with a clear lid filled with little live creatures and her stomach turned. When asked if everything was alright, that's when Beatrice noticed the book on the other side. And so now she hadn't had her snack, but she had a book.

Beatrice reached for her pad tucked away in one of the pockets of her dark grey utility jacket. She was good with directions, but even she needed help every once in a while. The indicator showed she was near the Prize, she just needed to walk a little further. That was all fine and dandy. The crowd around her hadn't exactly doubled, but they had gotten louder. She tapped the little ear piece and music filled her ears. At that moment, Beatrice simply wanted to reach her destination and settle down. The long trip had tired her out, especially since she hadn't had anything to eat. Not that she would at that point, but she was feeling fatigued.

The young woman walked some more, then turned another corner before the Prize came into view. Beatrice felt a surge of newfound energy and picked up the pace a bit, her steps nearly matching the beat of the music playing in her ears. She was more than relieved for having concluded her trip, and she was waiting to see what this new assignment had in store for her.

Once inside, Beatrice took out her pad again. She decided to check in there instead of in person. Not that she was the anti-social type, but it seemed she would be looking for someone for a while and she didn't want to get lost in her new home just yet.
