Death Note - How Will You Survive?
Somewhere in a dimly lit room. Rain hammered against the windows, which were also being rattled by the storm outside. Lightning struck nearby followed by the roaring sound of thunder. It was a grim setting. “I think that’s all there is the tell you.” The creepy looking figure, at least 8ft tall spoke clearly to the other in the room “I will not leave your side until that note passes to someone else, or to me.” This person looked down at the note in their hands, their mind greatly at thought. What would they do with this gift? Was it even a gift? Or was it a nightmare come true?
3 months laterThe world press was in panic. The increase in death due to cardiac arrest had increased abnormally, and for seemingly no reason. As a result, it had been decided at a world summit that the greatest minds in the world would be brought together to solve this mystery.
A middle aged man, wearing glasses stood in front of a sizeable group of people. This is Tatsumi Hayegi, the head of the criminal bureau sector in Japan. “Thank you for all attending. It is with great honour that I welcome you all to the great country of Japan.” He bowed. “As you will already have been briefed, we have a serious problem. The increase in cardiac arrest causing death is astronomical. We cannot here in Japan put this to a mere coincidence. We believe this is an organised mass murder.” People in the group began to tut and reject the idea, almost laughing at Tatsumi. “I know how it sounds, we have no evidence, or leads. That’s why we are all here.” He finished, seating himself in the chair from where he had risen. The room was hushed, and silent.

Hi guys, first of all welcome to the roleplay. The concept to this roleplay is fairly complex so I will explain below.
Someone will randomly be selected to be a holder of a death note. It so happens that this person will be on the investigation. It will be the role of that person to kill as many people investigating them as possible, by discovering their real name (hold that thought for later).
Everyone else will be an investigator. It is their role to figure out which one of you is the death note holder by any means necessary. This should be done by figuring out who is safe and revealing their real names. Should the investigators win, all the investigators must know each other's real names.
Here’s where it gets complicated. The roleplay will start off in the IC (wait for it). Then, it will move to the pms where necessary (roll with me). I will be playing the role of both “Tatsumi Hayegi”, and the Shinigami that the death note belongs to. This means that I can keep an eye on everything that is happening on both ‘teams’. There will be a pm between myself (the Shinigami) and our death note holder. This is so they can go about their killings in private without alerting the rest of the group, not to mention that only they can see and hear the Shinigami. If they make a mistake or leave certain details about their killings unanswered, I will report it to the group without making it obvious. The group will post in the IC mainly. HOWEVER (roll with it), If someone is to make any discoveries or have any theories which they don’t want to share with ‘certain’ members of the team because they are suspected to be the killer, a separate pm group should be started with whoever they want to speak/interact with (plus myself so I can manage the rp). In addition to this, I want to take all the character’s real names via pm (CS names will be fake). This will be so that I can judge if the death note holder can/have the ability to kill someone. If you are killed I will inform you and discuss how you would like to continue, as another detective or other.

3. No god mode. Please. If you die you die. You should’ve protected your identity better
4. No perfect characters. By that, I mean your character should have some kind of imperfection. Nobody is the main character here
5. If you die don’t reveal investigation secrets you may learn about, just continue as normal
6. Be thoughtful about posting. Give someone time to reply before going off on one. If posting is too quick for someone to keep up with they may leave
