Hmm granted it could really take place in any time period considering we could just make it AU(Alternate Universe) wherein the majority of the characters from the manga wouldn't exist. Especially since I'm not so much a fan of people playing as the characters from the manga, not to mention those are copywrited and it'd be...troublesome.

Nonetheless, we could have it set during the time period that the fourth hokage lived, but it would not be the actual fourth hokage.

Also, hi/welcome FVGT, FireBringer, and Loki.

Oh look, it's Riddle, what a surprise :P

FVGT, what I meant is how many and to what extent should clans be allowed to be created (if at all). Kekkei genkai and Hiden go along with that statement really. As to rank, I mean should people be allowed to start as jounin, or should they have to start as genin or chuunin.

At the moment I think starting at Chuunin for the majority would be good and then people could audition (submit a CS) for kage and I'd pick the best suited/qualified one. Perhaps anyone wanting a jounin would also have to have a chuunin, that way we keep a solid balance between the two.

In terms of naruto time periods/eras we don't have any set timeline (years that things transpired and how long they lasted), but generally it goes as follows;

>Time of the Sage/Rikkudo Senin(Birth of chakra and ninjutsu)
>Intermediary period(people learn the things from the sage and such)
>Brief peace
>Warring clans era
>Villages slowly form
>First Ninja War
>Peace
>Second Ninja War
>Peace till present time at the start of Naruto
So yeah there's that.

So what about political intrigue, war, inter-village interactions etc etc?

Do you even want the RP to start with more than one village open. I'd say allowing 1 or 2 at the start is plenty considering it'd otherwise be even harder to even vaguely fill the roster and have a solid plot.

What kind of plot we want? I'm sure either ya'll or myself can twist any cliches into something neat or try something new.

Cliches being, evil organizations, the bijuu turning against people(might be neat), war between the villages, a single man who is the threat that people must unify against.

Thoughts?

Also, do you guys like it if/when I give suggestions for you to choose from or? Last thing, um, in terms of plot I tend to GM things a bit more like a sandbox where there is a plot you'll be roped into somewhat, but your characters actions will have real benefits and/or consequences.

I lied about that being the last thing, forgive my longwindedness and as my mind keeps coming up with more things to address haha. How much influence of the plot would you as players like to have? Do you want to be able to submit/create and execute your own arcs/plot lines (subplots for your characters may or may not fit in here depending on how vastly said subplot(s) would effect whatever main arc/plot is going on at the time)?

Also I'd appreciate it greatly if you'd mention this humble little interest check to anyone you know who might be interested in helping create/be in a naruto RP. I am both looking to make a solid community and a solid RP and the more the merrier ^_^
So, I've seen a few Naruto RPs around here and being from the original community who created them way back when on the Old Guild, I'm somewhat dissatisfied. I'm considering making one, but I don't have many ideas and I don't even know if anyone would be interested in one to begin with.

So my question is this, what would be your ideal naruto RP?

Type of plot/plot ideas,

Time period, state of the world.

How much freedom with player worldbuilding (clans, kekkei genkai, weapons, and lore in general) as well as character freedom/power (Just genin, or the whole nine yards from genin to kage/sannin level).

Would you want the world to include political intrigue at all, or just keep wars about epic battles, and the general plot about plotting against and with one another (if that at all).

I hope this isn't fruitless, but at the very least I thought I'd try. Tell your friends! :)
So this really exploded with activity.
*smiles at the collab* Ah glorious hints~
Hey Merc, Rhaevnn, either of you want to go before the guards are brought in?
=_= Now I am hesitant to do so ehaha....

Nonetheless, I will use this as a unique chance to test something out!

Satori has her response Lucius :P
Arkaeis Zraimat
The College

The guards having no time to respond to his words, Arkaeis heard someone from the other end order the gates open. Raising an eyebrow briefly, he waited patiently till the door lay open before he at which point he saw the voice's owner. A woman it seemed, dressed modestly and with,,,pink hair. Odd, but not unbecoming, perhaps she was eccentric, he enjoyed eccentric people. With her introduction out of the way Arkaeis bowed his head respectfully, offering a pleased smile. "Thank you for the warm welcome madam, I am Arkaeis," he decided to leave out his last name, if anyone asked he would easily relent, but there was little reason for him to offer it up here. Few, if any, would know its relevance anyways.

Following the woman so as not to get lost in the unfamiliar location, the Reven glanced about, taking the scenery in and almost immediately beginning to memorize the layout of the College. While he observed the building, the woman started talking again, and he listened, using his peripheral vision to scope out the place. However, instead of filtering to his subconscious it was all engraved in his conscious memories for review when needed. "Yes it has been interesting to say the least. Having lived in an isolated village in the west most of my life made seeing the world rather jarring an experience. Though it has been very eye opening as well," he stated, smiling lightly in remembrance of his trip. His words were not complete lies, he had spent much of his time on Midnight island, mostly underground in one of the small villages. Other times he'd be assisting the rest of his family in their duties as Zraimat. Plus Midnight Island was in the west, so that was also truth--little did he know that lying to this woman was fruitless.

Glancing around, Arkaeis wondered if the College was always this busy...and cautious in regards to admittance that their gates would be closed especially if they'd been expecting new students. That brought something else to mind, how had this woman known he was a student and how had she been aware of his presence outside the gate. It was possible that someone had notified her, or that she had somehow sensed his presence, but if that were the case then either she must have been one of several types of magus. She could have been of the an Electromancer, a Pyromancer, or a Psychomancer--all of which he knew were capable of sensing people through various means.

However, to also know that he was a student without him saying a single word, especially since there had been no obvious indication of such. He did not recall Electromancers or Pyromancers being capable of telling whether or not someone was a stranger. They could only detect presence via heat signature of bioelectricity, as he recalled from his reading. However, she knew the guards had not recognized him, or they'd have let him in right away so he must have been a stranger to them--she could have deduced that much. Still he did not recall most people being that quick witted or intelligent. There were always exceptions and he was standing in one of Tiien's centers of knowledge, so it was more likely than not that she could have been one such exception.

So he'd consider all three possibilities. She was either a Psychomancer, or she had made some base assumptions about the nature of his visit inferred from the guards not recognizing him immediately and then her also not recognizing him. So she was either a Psychomancer, or a very insightful human, either of which could be a good or bad thing depending on her disposition. At the moment she seemed nice enough, but if she was either of the things he'd figured her to be then it was likely that she kept any of the negatives of her personality to herself when interacting with new students. It was polite, professional, and would add a surprise factor if she turned out later to be a terribly difficult individual to deal with.

Sighing mentally, Arkaeis noted that if she were a Psychomancer she was likely listening into his thoughts that very moment and knew everything he'd just been thinking. It didn't really matter in the end, he figured. Perhaps she could teach him wards, he'd been curious about those for awhile, but had not had any time to learn how to create them, nor had he the resources--both unfortunate truths. Now of course he could amend such, so he decided to do a little experiment.

"What is your job here, madam Satori? I hope I am not interrupting a class, or important job of some kind." While he spoke the only thoughts that passed through his mind were mere feelings of curiosity and worry. Oddly, despite his prior thought process, the feelings were entirely honest and there would be no way of detecting anything false about them. Even if she'd been detecting his thoughts prior she had no way of knowing what his experiment actually was, as he had not thought about them, and still wasn't.

It would be interesting to see her response, but he wasn't thinking that--that bit was simply the truth. Who was to say what'd happen now, after all, the wheels had begun turning and they could hardly be stopped now. Things were about to get intriguing, that was for sure.
I'onriyi Stonehand

I'on's head had to arch back somewhat to look up at the human, but his gaze was unwavering. The annoyance faltered momentarily, weakening somewhat in that moment before he glanced towards the stranger. "I see..." the penin's staff grew noticeably dimmer, as he ceased casting his spell. Some of the energy was lost, but the majority of it was pulled into one of the crystal prisons embedded in the weapon, which he put back in its strap, which was located on his back. Throughout the whole maneuver, the penin's eyes never left the stranger's form, and his left arm remained somewhat tense. Only after the robed figure relaxed his stance did the tension drain away from his body. "I doubt he'll be pleased," I'on stated, eyes briefly glancing at the body before flickering away to rest briefly on Ixion, and then the stranger, "What's your name?"

While his guard never entirely dropped, mostly due to his years as a mercenary, I'on appeared far more relaxed now. Nonetheless, he kept his shoulders squared and his hands ready. Despite looking relaxed his tiredness never shone through, making it seem as if he was indeed ready to go back into battle, full tilt if needed.

He wasn't.

He really just wanted to go lay in his bed and sleep at least the rest of the day away. Nonetheless, it seemed he had a bit more business to take care of, important business. Once Morgan had answered, the penin looked to Blue's body once more and his brow furrowed. Marcus would not be at all happy with this, he thought, but these two were lucky he'd been around to see it. That way he could attest to their innocence in the matter, and he knew that the guards, and the duke himself, would trust his word. "You lot are lucky. Even if you'd left her here and had only been passersby, your magical energy might've been picked up and ya could've been tracked. Perhaps by one of the sniffers..." he trailed off for a moment, shaking his head and letting out a sigh. It was a waste of life, Blue's death. Too bad there'd been such an unfortunate misunderstanding between her and this lot. "Now that I'm here neither of you will take any blame for it. I saw the Fixer with my own eyes I did. Tried to kill one of you, and certainly would've done in the other," he nodded towards Morgan. "Regardless, I think the two of you should stick around awhile, just so no one suspects you of something 'cause you left the city in a hurry. I know a cozy little in that'd put you up, doesn't cost much and if you need any help there I don't mind lending a coin."

Usually I'onriyi was not an openly generous man, but in his opinion they had done well. It was the equivalent of alerting the authorities of a murder, and giving a definite subject for them to look for. Though the Fixer was certainly a dangerous man to be hunting, the mage thought. He'd make an exception for these two, if they accepted. All the better that the Drunken Dove was near his own establishment. It'd be easy to keep an eye on them...after he shut his and got a solid eight hours of sleep. Hopefully uninterrupted. The last thing he needed to do now, after they accepted or declined, was actually notify the guardsman and explain the situation. They could pass on the message and then he could go get some shuteye. Yeah, that sounded peachy.

He just hoped that nothing in the planes'd decide otherwise before he slept.
