Name: Goro Sroda Alias/Title: Rock Scribe Goro Skills/Ability Information: Said to be quite dangerous at close range in both offensive and defensive capabilities. Heavy Doton user with extensive taijutsu methods applied. Seems to randomly use wind and water techniques as well. Wields an very sharp, sword-like weapon with edges made of some kind of extremely sharp rock. If fought alone, maintain distance. Known for fighting alongside two others, be wary of ambush formations! Known Description: Stands slightly under 6 foot and weighs somewhere between 150 to 190 lbs. Dark red hair and beard with brass-colored eyes. Wraps himself partially in bandages. Can be identified by a partially visible, dark blue tattoo of some type on his abdomen and jawline. Known History: A remnant member of the fallen clan “Sroda” from the Land of Water. Only known member to not reside in exile within the Land of Earth. Travels freely with two other individuals. No known bounties, though it is clear why he would stay out of reach of anyone affiliated with the Hidden Mist. Influence: No known affiliations with any organized group. Name: Yue Wudao Alias/Title: The Peaceful Warrior Skills/Ability Information: Known for a short ranged fighting style that relies heavily on accuracy. Seeing as he created it himself, not much is known about it, so use caution when facing him. Also uses wind and fire jutsu, giving him some long range capabilities. He appears to travel with two other people. Known Description: He's a smaller man, standing at about 5 and a half feet tall. Somewhere between 100-130lbs. Has brown hair and golden-brown eyes. He is usually seen wearing traditional clothing with long flowing sleeves. Only known weapon is a tessen. Known History: None much is known about the man. He suddenly appeared four years ago with two companions. Possibly connected to a small village that was destroyed around the same time he became known. Name: Isha Subarashi Alias/Title: Has yet to earn one Skills/Ability Information: He is known for his medical expertise both with jutsu and the more mundane applications such as surgery. Unlike many medical ninja he has been seen fighting in close range combat using scalpels made entirely of chakra. While he wouldn't be an extreme threat if attacked solo from reports he is rarely alone as he travels with at least two others, with some reporting that they have a third man. Known Description: He stands at 5'6" and is of a slight build weighing no more than 130lbs according to various reports. He is pale of skin, hair, and even his eye color. He carries a larger than average scroll upon his back. Known History: No history is known about Isha, he has been traveling with his group since the first reports of him came in. The Senju Clan

Name: Izumi Senju Alias/Title: The Little Commander. Skills/Ability Information: Senju wood release Kekkei Genkai. Known Description: Relatively average height, extremely physically fit. Known History: Not much is known about Izumi due to the fact that she is still so young and recently became the Senju clan's head. What is known however is that she apparently murdered her own father for the position. Influence: She is very well liked among her people and is the clan head. Entry Added By: Write.

The Nara Clan

Name: Nara, Shikako 奈良 鹿子 Alias/Title: Kitoushi (Medicine Man) 祈祷師 Skills/Ability Information: Shikako is well-versed in medicine and seems to value taijutsu over genjutsu or ninjutsu. It is assumed that she knows the shadow manipulation techniques that the Nara are known for. Known Description: Shikako is the daughter of the Nara clan head, Shikaro, niece to Shikayo, and cousin to Shikashi. Name: Nara, Shikashi Alias/Title: Hikari Burokka Skills/Ability Information: Known for being exceptional in shadow techniques Known Description: Possesses lazy eyes, brown hair kept in a ponytail, and is a tall, lanky man of seventeen. Known History: No history is known except for the bad blood between him and his cousin, Shikako Influence: Nephew of the head of the clan; son of the prominent Shikayo; renowned genius of the Nara clan Entry Added By: Apokalipse.

The Monzaemon Clan

Name: Skall Alias/Title: The Skinwalker Skills/Ability Information: A medium to extremely long range fighter. Utilizes large spear-like projectiles of some type that are capable of poisoning the target. Extremely fast, seems to move almost like a blur. Master of camouflage and stealth tactics. The circumstances surrounding the deaths of those confirmed to have been his opponent are sometimes strange, with suffocation a clear cause of death but the method used uncertain. Known Description: Somewhere between 5 and 6 feet tall. Slim build. Sometimes reported as wearing a dog-like mask. Frequently shows up disguised as someone else, be wary of even your comrades when aware of his presence. Some reports say dark colored hair. Entry Added By: Gravedigger.

Name: Tataruki Monzaemon Alias/Title: "The Red Fox" Skills/Ability Information: Tataruki is not seen dealing with members outside the clan all too often, so a full analysis of her abilities has yet to be done. What can be inferred is that she is disdainful of anyone outside the Monzaemon clan and thus, a threat. Be wary: the Monzaemon are known for the specialty in Chakra Thread and Puppet Techniques, and since little is known about Tataruki, it is unsure where her specialty resides. Known Description: A slender and small woman, Tataruki could be mistaken for a small man, if not for her long and feminine hair, her distinct clothing style, and her accentuated makeup, all to underscore her feminine identity. Of note, she is known to wield two kunai, wear a cloak which could hide additional unknown tools, and she always seems to have a fox by her side. The fox is rumored to have a connection to some of her techniques, but all gossip has come up short of an accurate description so far. Known History: Only known to be steadfast and true to the Monzaemon cause, Tataruki's specific history isn't very well-known since she isn't a famous nor an infamous kunoichi. Her role as Clan Enforcer has recently been discovered though, as divulged by a Monzaemon runaway, as well as the fact that it's a relatively new position for her. Influence: Tataruki's influence is only a slight bit above average because of her important role as Clan Enforcer. Though in no way a superior of any sort, Tataruki's influence is also confined to exist only with the clan, as she doesn't deal much outside of the clan, unless ordered to or necessary to. The Tatasuko Clan

Name: Zume Tatasuko. Alias/Title: Suiteiru Meian(Vacant Shade). Skills/Ability Information: Zume Tatasuko is a known inheritor of the infamous, but mysterious Tatasuko Kekkei genkai, the Kusa chūō no sei. As such he has been noted not only as an accomplished swordsman, but something of a jack of all trades. If you have made an enemy of this man you ought to hide or find some means with which to amend the misunderstanding, he is not to be trifled with. Thus far he has been seen utilizing a mixture of kenjutsu, ninjutsu, taijutsu, and perhaps trace amounts of genjutsu. His style is elegant, deadly, and ever-changing making him what some might call a jack-of-all-trades. It is hard to say what his actions will be, but it is easy to state that he is a force with which to be reckoned. Known Description: Standing at 6 feet and weighing in at 182 lbs Zume Tatasuko typically wears a garb of black with white trim to contrast. He possesses black hair and roguish features with little facial hair aside from his goatee. Reports on his eye color vary from a normal coloration of hazel and a terrifying abyssal black, it is unknown which color is the true one. He has been seen to wield a blade despite not carrying one on his person. Known History: Besides his time with his clan, the Tatasuko, little is known of this enigmatic shade aside from his undefeated combat record when necessary and tendency to side either with those who cannot defend themselves or are, from his perspective, in the right. The Seven Swordsmen

Name: Ito Tazaki. Alias/Title: The Exploding Blade. Skills/Ability Information: Ito Tazaki is a master swordsman, wielding an exploding blade, when engaging attempt to avoid kenjutsu matches at all costs. Has been observed to use aggressive, close range earth and water style jutsu. Has been known to travel and fight with fellow swordsman, Rachi Bokunari. Known Description: Most notably carries Shibuki, a blade consisting of a narrow cutting edge and a broad blade covered in explosive tags, coming from a central scroll. Stands at 6' with perfectly conditioned muscles. Usually wears his hair messily pulled back into a top knot. Has a ring of shark tooth tattoos around his neck. Known History: Comes from the Hidden Earth but has been constantly on the move for years, spending a large portion of time in the hidden mist. Is known to be a member of the seven swordsmen. Influence: A founding member of the seven swordsman. This means he has a fearsome reputation, but apart from that this does not translate into any real power. Entry Added By: Cuttlebones.

Name:Rachi Bukonari Alias/Title: The Executioner Skills/Ability Information: One of the few members of the Bukonari clan to have inherited their Kekkei genkai, the Yellow seal. It is known that he is violent and often users a sword wrapped in bandages which is known as Samehada. Often rushes into a battle rather than pre-planning. Known Description: Stands at about 6'3" and weighing close to one hundred and eighty-five pounds. Last seen wearing a blue scarf wrapped around his left arm. Known History: Known to have originated from the Bukonari clan. His existence was made known when he was fifteen when he was seen outside of the Bukonari compound by a few hunters from the nearby village. A few years later, he was seen leaving the compound with a strange blade. He was later chased by bounty hunters who were looking to kill him and bring his dead body back to the bukonari compund. All that is known about this event is that he is wanted for murder. Last seen traveling with a swordsman known as the Exploding Blade. Influence: He is the wielder of the blade samehada. It is unknown whether or not he is a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen. The Uchiha Clan

Name: Hato Uchiha (鳩うちは) Alias/Title: White Wing Hato/ Noble One Skills/Ability Information: A wielder of the Sharingan and one of there infamous prodigal children at that, Hato is a rare breed of dangerous. His eyes have allowed him many advantageous perks that is not normally acquired by mortal ninjas. I have not directly viewed his skills but records and scouts have noted that his skills with a blade is just as renowned as himself. I'am beside myself with awe at the odds this youth has overcome. Even amongst the Uchiha Clan his name is spoken softly and only with respect. As I go through my notes, it appears he is skilled with ninjutsu as well, though his specific type is hard to guess. Either way, he is well beyond his year in terms of power. Be wary. Known Description: Previous records state that he is nearing 6'0” feet now, though I'd note that his last precise measurement was 5'11”. He's a slender boy with fair skin and intense eyes, withdrawing the sharingan from being in use of course. He's often garbed in a cloak, leaving little to be seen underneath but its certain that he carries a porcelain blade and onyx magatama stud in his right ear. Known History: I do believe his parents were both members of the Uchiha clan who left for their love of peace. Once they were killed, young Hato roamed the countries with his younger brother continuing peace efforts on behalf of his parents. Unfortunately, his younger brother was slain in the Water Country shortly afterwards and in his grief he returned to his clan. Name: Yuen Uchiha. Alias/Title: The Elegant Uchiha. Skills/Ability Information: She is known to practice stealth and has unlocked the Sharingan. Known Description: A little short, piercing eyes. Known History: Yuen is known to have been put through extremely rigorous training, even on Uchiha standards. Other than that not much is known about the girl, even among the Uchiha clan members. Name: Toyotomi Uchiha. Alias/Title: Heavenly Flame. Skills/Ability Information: Toyotomi is the less blessed of the twins but one of the most powerful Uchiha currently. He possesses a mastery with in Katon and has created an incredibly powerful fire release known as the White Flame Art which garnered his title. Blessed with such ability, Toyotomi can intertwine his impeccable shurikenjutsu with his shiaringan and white flame art to create various advantages in combat. Not only can Toyo rely upon shurikenjutsu and white flames but he is also proficient in advanced space-time, a skill that has kept him alive for several years. The Former Uchiha Clan Head is a dangerous opponent to deal with. Known Description: Anyone that is anyone knows that the Uchiha's Former Clan Head is very childish and happy most of the time. His serious side has only been seen by a few, like the time when he and his twin massacred an entire clan. Known history: History has told many a stories about Toyotomi's life from his obscure nature as a Uchiha who has live for over 100 years to the many battles against the many clans that hailed him as the Heavenly Flame, to his much darker history of massacring hostile clans in the name of the Uchiha. Only a handful truly know of his past but for everyone else he's an enigma that continues to be watched by the shinobi world. Influence: Toyotomi has lifted the Uchiha Clan to the heights of greatness, instilling in the world their mark as ninja willing to help those but will stoop to any level to destroy their enemies when threatened. Being one of the few advanced users of Space-Time, Toyotomi has heightened the world's knowledge on space-time and influenced the popularity of the fire nature. Toyotomi fought and defeated the Nakamura's clan head who held part of the Land of Fire in an iron grip. History has proclaimed Toyotomi to be a saviour by some and villain in disguise to others. Name: Uchiha Yoshiro Alias/Title: Shiro Skills/Ability Information: Uses a moderately developed Sharingan in battle, both to track enemies and to place them under genjutsu. Employs an arrangement of fire and lightning ninjutsu during fights, both offensive and defensive measures. In addition to ninjutsu, Yoshiro wields a 3 foot long katana dubbed Reikon and is proficient in thrown weapons such as kunai and shuriken. General style of combat consists of keeping enemies at a distance with ninjutsu, though if necessary he can use his sword fairly well. Known Description: Yoshiro is a modest 5' 8" tall, and has a fit build, pale skin and dark eyes. Retaining boyish features though he is a young man, he weighs in at 130 pounds and has medium length black hair which well below his chin and to the base of his neck. While his attire generally consists of dark clothing, he wears a white cloak with the Uchiha crest on the back when operating in the field of battle. Known History: Son of Toyotomi, the former head of the Uchiha clan, and brother to the current head. A Jōnin in his clan, one of the youngest, and an accomplished combatant on the field. Currently serves as an extension of the head family outside of clan territory, answering solely to his sister and father. Influence: Member of the head family and respected for his combat prowess despite his young age. Has little say in official matters of the clan, meaning his influence generally is limited to combat oriented matters. Entry Added By: Vena Sera.

Lone Mercenaries

Name: Unknown except by his clan. Alias: Tasatsu Tsuki(Blood Moon). Skills/Ability Information: Tasatsu, as he is sometimes called, is known to be an accomplished assassin and upfront combatant both, skilled in all three shinobi disciplines, though to varied degrees. It is clear that he either uses the Gentle Fist style, or one very similar to it. He carries few notable weapons beyon the typical shinobi supplies, but is an individual not to be trifled with as most do not survive their encounters with him. What information has been amassed here is by pure luck, and I suspect, the grace of Tasatsu Tsuki himself, likely to proliferate his notoriety. Avoid at all costs. Known Description: Standing at 6 feet, and weighing 210, most of which comes from muscle, the Hyuga is a daunting man to look upon. Typically garbed in greys, blacks, with crimson or white accents, Shinku is typically quite easy to distinguish in a crowd, if not by his clothes, then by the aura of malice that shrouds him like his black cloak. More often than not he can be seen with a slight smirk on his lips and a dark, foreboding amusement in his eyes likening him to the guise of a starved beast—ravenous and unpredictable. Known History: Essentially nothing is known about Tasatsu beyond his appearance in the line of mercenary work roughly 7 or so years ago as if from nowhere. He has left a trail of blood in his wake, yet evades capture and slaughters those who become overzelous in their attempts to restrain him. He has been known to kill clans in the dead of night, he has also been known to lead coup d' etats at the whim of others, or to simply slaughter children. Whatever he gets paid to do, and whatever he enjoys doing, he will do. Nonetheless, it is best to be wary, for should an employer not satisfy his amusement, then they will become his next target—a dire risk to take for any task, a dire risk indeed. Influence: While he has little to no practical influence, Tasatsu is easily capable of manipulating people through their loved ones or things they hold dear. Name: Mirai Tensai. Alias: The Young Sage. Skills/Ability Information: Almost nothing specifically is known about Mirai’s abilities due to the nature in which she conducts herself. What is known, however, is that she loves to fight. She is something of a legend as far as her insatiable lust for combat. Mirai is known for her work as a mercenary, hiring herself out to clans in exchange for room and board. She very rarely asks for more than that. She is an incredible competent fighter in close range and specializes in stealth, assassination and supporting other fighters. Known Description: Mirai is said to be a short woman with a monkey’s tail. She is said to carry a large scroll on her back and sometimes she is seen sporting a black and yellow vest. Not much is known about her physicality, making it difficult to identify her without her scroll. Known History: Apparently she was raised in the Land of Water by the monkey sages. Sounds like bullshit to me. Influence: She has little to no influence among humans, but to other summoning creatures she is revered as the monkey sage and is very well respected in their community. Prologue to the Ideal

As seasons have cycles, so do war, peace, prosperity and ruin. While the world was once dictated by the wills of the great beasts that live in it, Imperial creatures more regale and refined than any royalty, it has fallen to the fate of man and their clashing desires. This world we share has had more time pass than we can fathom, yet it has never been whole or perfect for a single moment in its history. As with the seasons changing, each lack what others desire. As with each state of the world, there are those that wish for more and it is true that this world has always lacked something.... That was until, in terms of the infinitely etching history of this world, the Great Azure Dragon and the Majestic Vermilion Bird made the choice to put the world into the hands of those whom live within it. To usher in an era of man like none other. It is said, by the eldest of elders within every corner of the world, that there was once a great warlord named Tatasuko and a humble wise man known only as the Sage. The warlord Tatasuko coveted the lands of the Sage and thus conquered them ruthlessly despite the peaceful nature of the Sage and his kin. When the Sage, with mere words, stood up to Tatasuko, the warlord stole the Sage's sons. He murdered one and sacrificed the other to the great Phoenix, whom had shed its title as a mere Vermilion Bird. The Sage, having lost everything and most importantly his family, sought out the Great Azure Dragon, his sovereign beast and the counterpart to the new Phoenix. The great Dragon, distraught with the pain and suffering of a worthy, faithful example of mankind, presented the Sage with six divine trials:

The Trial of Earth was first, and was passed when the Sage used only words to unite those against or free of the Warlord, saving thousands from depravity and darkness. The Trial of Fire was second, and was passed when the Sage again used only words to stop rebellion and unneeded conflict, once more saving the people. The Trial of Wind was third, and was passed when the Sage understood his followers, their passions, their goals, and their values, uniting not just the people, but himself within them. The Trial of Lightning was fourth, and was passed when the Sage was given a quest to leave his people and find the Dragon Shrine. He had saved not only them but himself from destruction, thus was worthy of meeting the Dragon once more. His journey took him through the world and fostered within him an understanding beyond just his people, but one of life itself. The Trial of Water was fifth, and was passed only when the Sage understood that humility before the Dragon included that of his people and previous trials. He was a living creature, as all things were and so deserved respect.

The Sage ascended to the Dragon Shrine where he was rewarded not only for passing the trials, but also his compassion and love for his son. There, the Dragon gifted the Sage with the Rinnegan - the eyes of the Dragon - and the ability to control chakra, life energy itself. The Sage was then told by the dragon, whom had given him a portion of his own strength, that if the Sage should return with his son and having defeated Tatasuko who himself had the power of the fallen Phoenix, he would be given one final gift. The story goes that a great battle, one that shaped the land itself and changed all of life in a single event, resulted in the victory of the Sage. The Sage then saved his surviving son and banished the Phoenix, but through his compassion for all life he could not bring himself to kill Tatasuko. He allowed the warlord, fallen like the Phoenix he worshiped, to flee into the veins of the Earth, never to be seen again. The Sage returned to the Dragon with his son soon after, explaining his successes and failures. The Dragon, however, was pleased and told the Sage only that he had passed the final trial: The Trial of Yin and Yang. As he respected all life and did not take it, the Sage was granted the ability to give life by the Dragon, thus ushering in the era of the Sage of Six Paths. The Sage served the Dragon for the remainder of his life and continued to fight the Phoenix, but never attempted to end him. This was the new cycle. This was the new way. Even the Juubi was sealed by the Sage and given a chance at life in ways that stretched the imagination. He even loved his rescued son far too much to intervene with the Curse of Hatred placed upon him by the fallen Phoenix, fated to plague generations henceforth. The Sage taught his trials, his journeys, his battles and his idealogy to countless apprentices in a style he called Ninshuu. As all life was connected, he wished to use the life energy he was taught to control to bring all life together. He scoured his apprentices that eventually became the first masters in their rights across the world to teach the ways of Ninshuu. As time passed and the Sage did as well, the following generations took Ninshuu and stripped it of its core values thus creating ninjutsu. Sages became Shinobi. Masters became veterans. The teachings and the trials of the Sage have been all but forgotten. Those that mastered ninjutsu passed it on to only who they trusted most, eventually creating clans. Most have blood ties, and even some have such close ties that they have developed abilities and methods of manipulating chakra only they can use. These have become Kekkei Genkai, bloodline limits. New techniques have been created, limits have been pushed, and the imagination has brought forth power unconsidered by the Sage himself. These clans, ever expanding, growing more powerful with each generation, have recently begun their friction with each other. The world is not black and white anymore. Or, should one say, Azure and Vermilion. There are more sounds than can be counted, more leaders than any treaty can keep content.

This is the era of Jaded Ideals.

Naruto: Jaded Ideals is an Ideal alternate universe of the popular Naruto manga and anime. Created with the collaborated ideas of many and a large pool of assistants, this roleplay was designed by yoshua171 to give roleplayers a chance to help have a large hand in a Naruto world before it was even created. The "ideal" is not only to create a fantastic roleplay, but to weave a community of like-minded individuals together to create a strong social fabric for the roleplay. Ideas have been bounced around and evolved over time, taking new forms and becoming parts of the roleplay when at first their rough forms may have not as easily fit. This is the true ideal. To sand down any idea and build it back up until it fits perfectly, and create a community that can help in that process. In that sense, the roleplay has thus far been successful, as many new ideas have been and are constantly being incorporated into the roleplay and reviewed by its community.

Here I will give you some additional information that was not contained in the history above. The Daimyo, and thus the Land of Iron, exist already. As such the world is separated into the Elemental countries we know so well. They are the Land of Wind, the Land of Lightning, the Land of Fire, and Land of Water, and the Land of Earth respectively. The below map is primarily for geographical purposes so that we can measure distance and the landmarks of various areas. I hope you enjoy our RP, and feel free to come to me if you have any questions."

The Staff

The following individuals are those, which one should keep in mind if assistance is required. Bold titles/names are GMs, underlined names/titles are managers. Each of these individuals has their own area of expertise, excluding myself, the GM, as I oversee the entirety of the roleplay.

The Rules

1. Metaphors, similes, analogies and other figures of speech used in any description made by a roleplayer are not considered 'true' and can be contested and/or debunked by a Moderator or two-thirds vote of the present player roster. This applies to any background, history or description of an item, character or event not made by Staff.

--In laymen's terms, do not try to slip in loopholes by using clever wording or hiding abilities throughout your sheet that ought not be there. Be straightforwards, and honest about your characters abilities and I’ll never have to point you back at this rule.

2. Anything created by the players for the setting, or for their characters, is subject to use and subjugation by the Staff. This does not apply to specific characters or items, but it does apply to anything not approved into the setting and used as descriptors for their characters, items, or events, such as NPCs.

--Basically, if you make a clan, I may make an NPC, as can anyone else, within that clan without asking first. If you make three ancestral weapons for your clan and only use one for your character, then a GM, or other individual, may use said weapon for another character or plot point. That’s the jist of things at least.

3. The staff/moderators have the privilege of going back and changing any aspect of this roleplay, including characters, events and even dialogue which have happened and/or were not created by /and/ subsequently accepted by Staff; anything that was accepted will require approval from its creator.

--Myself and/or any future GMs may go back and make changes where needed, though we cannot do so after a character, or the like, is accepted unless the creator of said character gives permission.

4. I, and any other GM have the right to end an arc and skip it with a timeskip resulting in whatever edits, additions, and/or plot events we see fit from the last posted point in the Arc, till the point after the time skip. We may kill a character or the roleplay entirely at any time and that they decide whom may create a splinter RP in the same extended universe. I will usually ask to kill someone’s character, and will try to work with people if we need to skip an arc entirely. 5. Going hand-in-hand with the first rule, I and the other GMs are allowed to interpret metaphor, simile, and the like as I see fit as long as my interpretation does not contradict previous actions in the course of the RP. 6. No godmodding, metagaming or powerplaying. If you forgot what these mean, read below:

Godmodding: The practice of controlling someone else’s character without their express permission to do so. Even minor actions can fall into this category. Autohitting falls into this area as well, as does being able to dodge/block anything/everything Metagaming: The practice of your character knowing OOC knowledge that he, she, or it had no way of obtaining. This will include suddenly figuring out someone else’s abilities/jutsu and how it functions after it has been told or narrated to in the IC. Unless there is a logical manner to discover in the information and you successfully achieve such, your character should not and will not know it. I may chew people out for doing this, seriously. Powerplaying: Basically making your character godawful powerful for the sake of being powerful, often without the character having any real substance (personality, backstory/history etc). Not as terrible an offense, and it won’t happen since I’ll be grading CSes. To avoid this consider whether or not your technique/Kekkei genkai/Weapon/Armor abilities can each be counter in some manner and that together they do not make you invincible, if they are counterable, then they’re likely fine.

7. This roleplay, as a collaborative project, is about working with one another, and while there is certain to be conflict, due to the nature of the Narutoverse, please remain civil. If an issue cannot be solved amongst yourselves and it is not strictly personal, differ to the GM(s), aka myself (for the moment). If it is personal, you will be promptly told to take it to PMs, and if you don’t, there can and will be consequences for disrupting the peace. 8. My word is law, if I say no to something, or allow something, it’s typically a done deal. If I however missed something, feel free to inform me. I am not beyond reproach. 9. This is an AU(Alternate Universe) roleplayer, and as such none of the canon characters ever existed excluding the Rikudo Sennin (Sage of Six Paths) and his two sons. 10. If you need to take a leave of absence, tell myself or someone in the RP who can get the message to me, first. I will be quite aggravated if people disappear all willy-nilly. If you have lost your will to be in the RP, exit your character, or at least tell me you are officially leaving. If you are gone for 3 days without prior notice and you are holding up posting, I will puppet your character out of the way. If you are gone a week, I will begin moving them into position for removal. If you are gone 2 weeks, then your character will be killed off. However, if you tell me, I will merely move your character aside and you may pick up with him or her later on. 11. Have fun, this is pivotal. Also feel free to scheme and plot against, and with, one another. This RP is primarily meant as a sandbox, though there will be plots and the like. I wish for arcs or the like to occur as naturally as possible so keep in mind that if you have a plan to sabotage a GM plotline and it can be achieved, go ahead! We'll adapt, that's part of the fun! 12. When creating a character, at least as we get started, it will be necessary that they be related to or involved with at least two other currently active player characters or at the very least have some way to get involved with everyone. If you wish to start an organization or clan you must have 2 other people with you, unless you want to have them be the founding member, and then simply know other character. This is so no one is in their own isolated corner, thus allowing everyone someone to easily interact with. Later on this rule may, in part, be rescinded.

Banned/Limited Jutsu

This list is subject to edits as I may see fit to add other techniques to it. Additionally, game-related jutsu, kekkei genkai, weaponry, or hiden are not considered canon and thus are not available for use. Shunshin, the Body Flicker technique, and Lightning Release armor cannot be used simultaneously--End of story. Body Replacement Technique

The Body-replacement technique requires you first mark an object with your chakra. Once marked, you must execute two handseals to activate it, after which it will activate 2 seconds later switching the user’s position with the marked object.

Jinchuuriki

You may not start as a Jinchuuriki. These must be captured by clans/villages ICly. Additionally, capturing one is a huge pain in the ass; this pain gets progressively worse as the beast’s tail count rises. As such it would be no small endeavor to catch even the One Tailed Shukaku, so don’t go about thinking that kind of thing will be easy.

Senjutsu

Senjutsu may be learned at around chuunin rank, but it will be rudimentary at first and require diligent training and development. Tapping into senjutsu will only be useful if one intends to become a fully-fledged sage somewhere down the line. Otherwise any senjutsu talents/abilities you learn are likely to be grossly limited due to lack of skill/training as well as dedication to the art. Sages will be around the same level as, other individuals of their respective rank.

The Uchiha

For the moment the maximum amount of player characters possessing the Sharingan is 5. For now these characters must all be Uchiha, meaning you cannot make someone who has stolen the Sharingan and implanted it. This is subject to change depending on the circumstances and the outcomes of the roleplay. The Mangekyou Sharingan, when unlocked is not immediately an Uchiha’s default doujutsu. They may continue to use their normal sharingan, choosing when to activate or deactivate their Mangekyou. The Mangekyou must be obtained/awakened ICly with few exceptions. Amaterasu will be unable to be put out with water or oxygen deprivation as per the usual, but it can be absorbed via seals, or filtered out/sealed in advanced seals/barriers if they are not outright destroyed by the flames first. The flames will move slowly. These weaknesses will apply to scorch release techniques as well, which must be learned from an Uchiha via observation or direct tutoring. Susanoo may not possess the Yata mirror or the blade that Itachi’s wielded. Its manifestation is not instantaneous and the skeleton/figure created by the technique is incredibly heavy, disallowing high-speed movement almost entirely during its activation. Both Susanoo and Amaterasu will possess high chakra costs no matter the user’s chakra control. As the Mangekyou was originally stated to give unique abilities to each Uchiha who awakened it, this will be the case in this RP. You may choose to possess Amaterasu and/or Susanoo, but you do not have to. Any given Mangekyou Sharingan has a maximum of three abilities, two if you wish both to be expansive and particularly potent. The Sharingan will not allow perfect replication/prediction of people's techniques ever. Replication of people's techniques can certainly happen, but depending on the skill of the Uchiha it will take them less or more training to properly copy someone's technique(s). Prediction will work, but only 2 steps ahead with normal sharingan and 4 with Mangekyou unless you have a unique ability of your own construction for that. Keep in mind that eventually, with overuse of Mangekyou, an Uchiha will go blind and lose their sharingan's abilities overall. Izanami, Izanagi, Kotoamatsukami, and Kamui are outright banned and thus do not exist in this verse. The same is true for the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

The Rinnegan

Do not ask for it, for the answer will be, no. It does exist, though the form it exists in are somewhat different. When and if the Rinnegan is implemented only two people, maximum, may have it. Possessing the Rinnegan will not grant the individual all five affinities unless they obtain both types. The two types of Rinnegan are as such. There is the Paths Rinnegan (eyes of the Dragon), which allows the holder the potential to learn and utilize the six paths. The second form is the Sensory Rinnegan, which allows sensory abilities roughly equivalent to the Byakugan in addition to Onmyouton(yin-yang release). The two forms are equally powerful and equally rare. Rinbo: Hengoku and Amenotejikara are both banned. Ashura and Indra, the sage’s sons in canon, will not reincarnate, and as such their DNA is not strictly required to possess the Rinnegan.

Space-Time Ninjutsu

While I will not outright ban space-time ninjutsu, I will say that if you create one it is going to receive harsh scrutiny. Furthermore, Hiraishin, aka the Flying Thunder God Technique, will gain certain limitations depending on the skill of the user in the area of fuinjutsu. I will disclose these weaknesses when they are necessary for someone.

Mechanics

Combat and Jutsu

In combat and when describing Jutsu, you must use time, rather than post amount, to measure the duration or prep time of techniques or actions. More or less figure out how long something would take to physically do, figure the vague speed of the technique, and use that to assist in the conclusion. It would also be quite helpful to state the distance between yourself and the one you’re fighting. Trust me, doing these two things not only helps the other players out, but it will also improve your own skill in combat as you become familiar with the method.

Combat Example

Rising to his feet, Kuro took his stance and waited for his enemy to attack him. His opponent, who stood only 8 meters away, braced himself before erupting forwards at high speed, charging Kuro. It would take the shinobi roughly 5-8 seconds to reach him, so Kuro acted swiftly. Weaving handseals and drawing forth his katana, the man had almost crossed the distance when Kuro’s katana ignited in flames as he slashed forwards. The shinobi would have to dodge the three arcs of fire, which would hit him 2 seconds before the man finished crossing the distance.

Time and Location Stamps

Basically, at the top of every post, please state the time and location of your character. If your character is going from one location to another you can state such. Here’s a helpful format to do so, though the format is not strictly necessary. Location – Time This assists in keeping everything in the same time so we don’t cause time paradoxes and also so we can document things on the site. Additionally, the time of day should be general, not specific, as we don’t exactly have clocks. So things like what follows:

As to location, it is good to list both the general location (which land you are in) and specific location (a forest, a clan compound etc etc).

Positions, Ranks, and Abilities

The more effort you put into your character’s history, personality, and clan information the more likely I am to allow your character(s) to have a higher position in a clan or organization, in addition to rank or abilities. If you have the concept for an ability or the like and can’t figure out how to balance it, present it to me and I may be able to help. After all, I have a deep understanding of how chakra and the like functions in Naruto and I am willing to assist you in balancing things. However, if I outright say no to something, you need to accept that the answer is no. Typically I will give suggestions as to what you could change to balance something. If you want the technique, more often then not those suggestions are required.

Management System

--Character Sheets and Bingo Sheets-- When you wish to join the RP and/or create a new character you will take the character skeleton, you are free to format it however you wish, but all the non-optional sections must be present. Once finished it will be sent to me in PM. If you have a PM conversation with me already, please send it in that. Once that is approved it will be posted in the character bin tab after which point you must fill out a Bingo Sheet, which will be posted publicly. It should be noted that Bingo sheets include information that should be known about a character within the In Character thread. If your character has not learned more specific information via combat with the other character, being shown, or told said information than they should not have it. If there is no real way that they could have obtained said information, or were not shown doing so legitimately then the offender should be prepared to be subjected to the wrath of the GMs as it will mean you have metagamed. Bingo Sheets

This character sheet will be what the public actually knows about your character. You complete this character sheet only once your full one is approved. Name: Known name. Alias/Title: Self explanatory. Skills/Ability Information: If certain techniques, kekkei genkai, hiden, or fighting styles of theirs are known about for whatever reason, please mention them in the Skills/Ability Information. Otherwise write a basic description of how they are known to conduct themselves in combat. Known Description: Their physical appearance and known equipment go here. Known History: Self explanatory. Influence: Are they the head of a clan. Do they know people in powerful positions. Are they a village head, etc etc. Entry Added By: Player name.

Clans

If you intend to make a clan regardless of whether or not it possesses a Kekkei genkai, hiden, or otherwise you must first fill out a clan sheet. After this you need at least two other people to be in that clan with you, this rule will persist for a good while until we have enough people interacting that there'll be no reason to institute this rule. To explain why this is necessary is simple, the rule is there so that everyone will easily have others to interact with at the very least, directly in their own clan, rather than having hundreds of small clans each with a single player character. The Clan Sheet is as follows: Clan Name: Country of Origin: Hierarchy and Focus: Include how they govern themselves, their general skills (are they metalworkers, assassins, etc), whether or not they have a kekkei genkai/tota or hiden. Any other pertinent information. History: From their origins to present. Miscellaneous: Any information that doesn’t fit elsewhere.

Character Skeleton/Guideline

This character sheet is not the necessary format, it merely lists what is needed and how to fill certain things out. You may change the format, or use your own as long as it has the required information. This character sheet must be PMed to me once it is completed. Once reviewed it shall be posted in the character bin where it can be read.

The hiders are optional. As is the title and pic section at the top, you can place it elsewhere. The way this is formatted is more or less optional. As long as the necessary fields are there.
