Futility

Getting Jordan within 6 meters once more, Raelis began to send a continuous barrage of wind from above to assail his opponent. Additonally he made the air that would have held Jordan up not move instead. All he needed was to ground him momentarily and then it was over.

The ambient heat was beginning to become problematic. His gauntlet had reached 100 degrees, though it was rising rather slowly in temperature due to its ventilation system and the wind he was using to cool it. The rest of his armor was still only around 80 degrees entirely due to the wind and continuous heat transfer.

His blade had reached 1100 degrees and his surroundings had reached 320.

It was almost time. If he just condensed the ambient heat and assured that his attack would land it would be over.

"I can make your death swift, or you may continue to reside in futility," he said as his last warning.
Edited, apologies on my missing that. I saw it the first time I read, but I waited awhile between reading and responding so I forgot.
Oops accidental on my part. I'll edit.
The Tipping Point

His blade reaching 1020 degrees and his environment a roasting 310, Raelis was ready to make his move. However, the annoying whelp made another move, firing spheres of energy up towards him. Raelis prompt response was first to fly from their path and second to sweep them further away with wind. He then moved to chase Jordan, following his descent, but so as to close the distance to 7 meters once more. He didn't like these spheres of his and surely didn't know their purpose, but given the context clues it couldn't be anything positive.

"You waste your time and mine," Raelis called to him, "I find it quite irksome." Raelis stayed parallel to Jordan as he flew.
One other note. You can essentially assume that the heat rises by 80 degrees (for his sword) and 10 degrees (the environment) per post. I forgot to mention it last post, but it did happen. So yeah.
No problem. So here's a question for you. When he changes form does he retain the damage done? If so, does it alter its size proportionally or what? This doesn't really influence my post much, if at all, but it might influence Jordan's behavior. Just something to think about.

I'm not asserting anything, just making sure you took it into account :)
So how high did we fly before he fell?
The Mark of a Champion

His claws sinking into Jordan's body slightly, Raelis noted the shift in shape. However, the man only managed to snatch at some of his talons as none of his actual toes were exposed. Smiling within his helm, Raelis retracted his talons, let the air fall from his wings momentarily, and then kicked at the man's head. Regardless his wings would fill with air before the projectiles went off and in a flurry of swirling wind Raelis would thrust his great wings down, sending powerful gusts down to redirect their trajectory entirely.

"No, you have not," he called out in response to his earlier quip, the slots in his armor closing to protect his feet once more.

He gave the man the slightest of respect for his cunning.

Only the slightest.
No Longer

Blowing the smell from around him with a gust of wind, Raelis noted the increased proximity and took the opportunity for what it was. His opponent's actions had been nothing but disrespectful and for that he was about to pay the price.

Suddenly the air around Jordan's body began moving chaotically, creating uneven gusts of wind in random directions. It was a small cyclone of tumbling air currents. Raelis, rising upwards in the air, flapped once to slow alter his trajectory and snatched at Jordan's tiny body. However, he didn't do it with his hands, no, instead small holes formed in the feet of his armor allowing his wicked talons to extend and slash at the hopefully helpless Jordan.

He had had quite enough of this farce.

The full scope of the heat Raelis now wielded now added up to 1150 degrees. His surroundings were 290 degrees and his blade was 860.

Jordan would soon feel the Embrace of Rhay.
Flight Hazards

The air condensing properly as Raelis followed his adversary, increasing his speed to gain on his position as the creature changed trajectories and aimed for the statue. Sighing quietly, Raelis brought forth the stone, dust, and pebbles that Maelstrom had gathered from the destruction of the previous statue and the ground while he'd remained on it. Following this he pushed the materials into the pockets of pressurized air with other air currents, and then released the air forth.

The pockets of air rocketed forth, increasing in velocity to 40 mph and flying right past Jordan. As they exited Maelstrom's area of influence, the pockets lost their pressure, diffusing outwards and spreading the many chunks of rock, dust, and the many pebbles into an area only 3 feet in front of his adversary. Raelis pulled air to him, ready to disperse it when it got to him, but hoping that it would impede his adversary's movement.

Raelis' surroundings had reached 280 degrees while his sword had reached 780.

He intended to end things soon.
