A very interesting read Nevis. Sorry it took me so long to finish, but hey that's life haha. I don't see any issues or the like and think it is...intriguing. I wonder which realm he was a lord to. He can't have been the first lord of the West, but it'd be quite interesting if the Bringer used to be one.

Appearance: It should be noted that Mairyell's eyes are typically a purplish blue, as his original eye color was blue, but his vampiric one is red, causing an odd mixture of pigments. He also has night vision from his vampiric traits, not to mention that the hungrier, or angrier, he gets, the more red his eyes will become. He stands at around 5'11, making him fairly tall, and he weighs around 160 lbs.

General Activity: Nothing much to report atm. Though he is trying to find his sister and fuck over a certain demon lord.

Personality: Mairyell is a cautious person, intelligent, but more instinctively so than anything. He is not intelligent in the intellectual sense, but he is certainly not an idiot either, thus lending him a sort of cunning and wit. He has a sense of humor, but calling it 'good' would be odd, as his demonic affliction has actually broadened the spectrum of hilarity. Thus, he has to be careful not to frighten others by laughing at humans being 'squished' or devoured by rampant monsters. He has a temper, but it is moderate, making it neither short, nor calm in nature. He's very protective of his sister, Aeris, causing him to sometimes smother her a bit with his affection and almost overzealous defense of her.

When it comes to people, he dislikes those who whine, or complain about how bad things are for them. This is mostly because the majority are entirely wrong, I mean, at least they weren't unwillingly turned into a bloodsucking monster. Mairyell is grateful, but not very trusting, disallowing him from easily coming to like or believe in both people and things. In fact, anything with a demonic nature, he strongly abhors, avoids, and distrusts. He finds the 'light' and 'good' of angels rather...annoying, mostly because the world has not seemed to improve one bit since they decided to settle in it. In fact, in many ways it seems worse, but that is just his opinion.

Additionally, Mairyell is rather ashamed of his vampiric nature, and when it comes to his sister he's embarrassed about it. In fact, he often will tell her to look away, or close her eyes when he has to defend her, or feed. Generally this shame comes from an event in their past, as he is exceptionally disappointed in himself for having caused so much pain, even if he was in fact forgiven. Furthermore, Mairyell, at times, feels like he is not entirely alone in his mind, as if there is a divergent personality, or something else, watching his every move. It is not something he has mentioned to anyone, but it becomes apparent that he 'hears' things no one else can, and this typically will make him very paranoid whilst it occurs. Generally though, Mairyell is very calm, trying to keep a cool head, with much composure, so as to comfort his sister in these hard times.

Yet, despite his intense shame and dislike, Mairyell cannot entirely deny his vampiric nature, as much as he wishes he could, and thus he finds himself enjoying bloodshed much more than is natural...for a human. Maurice Kasio, the CEO, was such a powerful tycoon that he even had his own private army and assassins. His late wife, Layna, also gave birth to two siblings: a son named Mairyell, whom he attempted to groom for taking over the company, and later a daughter named Aeris. Their mother died when Aeris was a young child, and it was public knowledge that the cause was cancer. From the start, the Kasio siblings had always been a little wayward, which was reason for their father to worry. Mr. Kasio, ever the busy man, hired lackeys to keep an eye on his children and stop them from ruining his image.

It was not generally known that Mairyell contracted a demonic disease from his mother while she was pregnant. Nobody knew where this influence came from, but when it came time to address the seriousness of the situation, Mr. Kasio's true colors were shown. His human greed for power had warped his mind and caused him to avoid pouring funds into finding a cure for his wife's illness. After all, it was far more profitable for a company to treat symptoms of a patient than to cure diseases--if word got out that there was a cure for a new disease, the media would be all over over it. He had weaved a lie for his children, but his son sensed that there was deception in this. Mairyell doesn't, however, tell Aeris the truth about Mama's demise, but he always told her bed time stories about Mama whenever she asked him.

Sanity became scarce as their father started to fear them, especially Mairyell. The boy was showing symptoms similar to his mother, but instead of weakening him, it only made the boy stronger. Sedation became his father's favorite method to control him and suppress the demonic symptoms. He still had some twisted dream of making his son inherit his legacy, but the mutations were getting faster and harsher. It was too much. Soon, sedation doesn't work so Mr. Kasio locked up his own son. Unfortunately, he was not able to hide the truth from his daughter. When she found out, the very same demonic influence inspired her to burn down the Kasio Korp HQ. She did some damage, but ultimately failed. But her father was furious for she had managed to release Mairyell from his prison. Their father then disowned them and cast them away to another continent entirely. Unfortunately, Mairyell didn't have any medicine to control himself, so he would routinely freak out on Aeris. This was a problem that would not go away.

Despite the risks, Aeris and her brother began to continuously steal from their father's company warehouses, for medicine to control and sate Mairyell's vampiric metabolism. Not only did this cut into profits, but word spread that Kasio Korp was collapsing due to civil strife. Rivals began to push in on Mr. Kasio, both legally and not. It was during this time that Maurice began to increase the security of his warehouses, as well as sending in more and more assassins to seek out his 'dear' children. During one of the duo's raids, they found themselves unable to procure the medication they needed to sedate his strange urges. Because of their failed attempt, Mairyell went into a frenzy, attacking Aeris. During the attack he bit her, getting his first taste of her blood. Unlike any of the other blood he had had up to that point, Aeris' blood almost immediately satiated him. Though he regretted the act later, and tried desperately to keep from doing again afterward, he found himself unable to care during the 'meal.' A strange thing happened while her brother fed on her: the puncture wounds, while present, had not hurt her. Not one bit, and immediately after Mairyell stopped, the wounds closed soon after.

They were interrupted. Three human assassins dropped in on Mairyell and Aeris. The two of them were immediately ensnared with an acid-etched steel net, and rendered helpless. Mairyell, despite his strength, couldn't break the nets apart. It would seem the Kasio siblings would meet their fate then, but before their father's hit-men could kill them, a large winged being ambushed them, instantly killing one assassin with a large rock dropped from above. The next two assassins found themselves beheaded (and scorched) as Rinyl the Bulwark brandished his flaming sword. Melting the nets carefully, he freed the Kasios and explained that he was Aeris's guardian angel, sent to protect her at all costs for she would soon do great deeds. He added that their father had actually sent several teams before, but they were dispatched quietly. Rin then apologized for being late as a 'demon from the west' had intercepted him at night and demonstrated 'strange foreknowledge' of his assignment. It was noticed that Rin had puncture wounds on his neck, even though the assassins hadn't attacked him.

In reaction to the angel's appearance, Mairyell would at first be skeptical, and would likely remain as such throughout the majority of the two's interactions. Nonetheless, the vampire would accept Rinyl's assistance from then on, grateful for its help in rescuing them, but unsure of how he felt regarding the angel protecting his sister. After all, he did not know the fellow, and merely being of a certain caste among the angelic hierarchy did not warrant trust from the ever cautious Mairyell.

Aeris regarded the strange angel with caution, shielding her eyes from the bright flames licking across his sword. Her throat had dried as she witnessed him kill their ambushers. When it was all over, she looked up at him--worry seizing her face--but then realized that he was there to guard her, much to her confusion. Their first handful of exchanges were awkward, as she couldn't read his emotions, nor figure out his motives. It was all so very weird and alien to her, for she was only used to her big brother being her sole protector and guardian.

It became routine that during their travels, Rinyl would advise Aeris by scouting ahead where they wished to go. He was forced to trust Mairyell to protect his sister during this time. After months, the two began to accept Rinyl as a constant presence in their life. Though Mairyell kept his distance, Aeris began to show her gratitude towards Rinyl, mostly by trying to be friends with him and learn about him. The angel indulged her, somewhat reluctantly, but soon became, well, rather enamored with her. He kept those feelings to himself, however, as he knew what happened to angels who fell. He kept his mind on his mission, for the trio could rarely relax in one place before something else happened. It would seem that a curse followed their every footsteps. 

One night, as another of Mairyell's manic episodes ensured, Rinyl fought Mairyell as he seemed, for some reason, meaner and more hostile than before. It worried Rin, and his honed instincts kicked in--the warriors ignored Aeris as they battled each other in a contest of wits and strength; however, they were both weakened from the fight. Having more experience and stamina, the guardian angel managed to whisk Aeris away and they disappeared into a sanctuary in which he had longed to shelter her, and train her to fight and protect herself. He never got that chance, though. When Mairyell found her again a couple days later, Rinyl was dead and Aeris was being consoled (in vain) by the sanctuary monks. He wasn't sure what had happened, but soon began to think himself to blame. Before they left, they attempted to bury Rin's body, but were denied. A squad of four pure angels emerged and while two of them wrapped Rinyl's body and picked him up, the other two brandished grimaces and scimitars at the Kasios. The angels uttered not a word as they left them behind.

The Council, however, were not done with the Kasio siblings' fate: they sent another angel, a specially trained one known as the Aurist...

Since then, Mairyell and the rest of their small three-person group have traveled here and there, trying to stay alive and well fed, avoiding the ongoing investigation that follows them, with Mairyell suffering from constant nightmares. Of course, he has yet to say anything to either his younger sister or her guardian angel. At this point, the vampire feels like he is being watched to some extent and has become just slightly paranoid.

--Mairyell and his sister have been split up by who Mairyell has come to know as Szayeis, one of the demonic lords, the same demon who was responsible for his mother's death...and his own vampirism. He took it hard, initially becoming frozen with shock after which the appearance of two vampires sent him over the edge, forcing him into a rather terrifying destructive state that drove him to first annihilate one of the two vampires and then a werewolf who arrived soon after, though he had some help from a certain Solus Grim. Following this, Mairyell was reunited with his mother and transported to a place of his childhood. From there he has trained and caught up with his mother.

Plenty has occurred, but you'll find out exactly what later.--

Capabilities

Demonic Abilities:

Drastically Enhanced Physical Aptitude: As a human infected by demonic influence, Mairyell's physical strength, stamina, durability, speed, reflexes, and instincts have all been amplified greatly. His vampiric nature causes him to be capable of throwing, or lifting, the equivalent weight of a small car, or at least 4 fully grown humans. It'd be fairly simple for Mairyell to break down brick walls and the like as well. His speed, to a human, is very exceptional, but remains in the area of being physically traceable by the eye, but not by much. His durability, normally, is not too much greater than a human's and it is not as if he could block a sword tip by just standing there. However, when it comes to blunt-type weapons, Mairyell does not take as much damage from them as a human would, not to mention that he does in fact regenerate at a certain rate, allowing him to heal from wounds as long as he has blood to fuel this ability. The less blood he has, the less physically enhanced he will become, this does go the opposite direction when his thirst is sated, but this essentially covers the maximum strength already.

As to Mairyell's senses, well they are essentially enhanced, but it isn't like you could make loud or high pitched noises to mess with his hearing, this is due to the fact that his senses are magically enhanced, not physically enhanced. This magical enhancement is, however, passive, but can weaken when the amount of blood his body holds is lessened. His sense of smell could be compared to that of a bloodhound, except greater, allowing him to track things. In fact, he can actually smell someone's blood through their muscle and flesh, which can be very disconcerting, especially when he describes someone as 'tasty'. His vision, last, but not least, could be described similar to a bird of prey's, allowing him to zoom in either for fine detail, or for enhanced range from afar. He, as a human, does not have to move his head, or cock it to the side, to see better though. Lastly are his reflexes, which simply put, should not be fucked with.

Beyond this, there are some weaknesses that should be mentioned. For, while Mairyell will not be killed by it, light does weaken his vampiric abilities somewhat, and causes his blood magic to not be as exceptional. Additionally, sunlight will force him to use more blood, as it is essentially constantly regenerating his body when he is exposed to sunlight. Another unique aspect of Mairyell's brand of demonic affliction, is that while most vampires only possesses two 'bloodsucking' teeth, ALL of Mairyell's teeth serve this purpose.

'Blood' Magic: Mairyell, upon becoming vampiric, gained an odd and ironic ability. He refers to this as 'blood' magic, as it deals with the manipulation of blood. This manipulation to be compared to water manipulation, as he is capable of solidifying, liquifying, and turning to vapor, any blood under his control. Of course, for him to control blood, he must either take it into his own body --by way of feeding-- or make physical contact with any blood that has exited a body. This blood magic thus allows him to levitate, and move blood as he wills it. However, the amount of blood he can control depends entirely on how much he can gather. On the other hand, his bloodcore allows him to literally store gallons worth of blood in his body, without bursting. As seen in Mairyell's fight with an ascended werewolf in the last season, his blood manipulation is a very powerful ability.

At current time, with the assistance of his mother, Layna, Mairyell has managed to mostly master this ability. However, he is still lacking in the extremely fine tuned manipulation that this magic is truly capable of. It will take a good deal of time to get there, though he has found a way to temporarily bypass this.

Black Blood: Due to Mairyell's increasing skill in the manipulation of his own essence via his blood and Brisn, he has discovered that he can increase and decrease the acidity of his own blood to a certain degree. This particular brand of blood has become so dense with essence that it appears black. The properties of this blood are its increased acidity and density, allowing it to take stronger physical and magical attacks when solidified. This ability takes more effort (essence and/or blood) to maintain and is thus more taxing physically and/or magically for him to utilize. While the normal acidity of his blood can burn through wood after a time and can sear flesh, black blood can begin to melt metal and weaken concrete somewhat.

Bloodcore: In the center of his chest, over where his heart is, Mairyell's body sports a ruby-red crystal-like biological structure. This is the primary mutation of his vampiric affliction and is his most fatal weakness, not to mention the cause of his abnormally high metabolic rate. Essentially, Mairyell's bloodcore stores any blood that he ingest, and while it will keep him from dying should he lose the majority of his gathered blood, it also serves as a dangerous weakness. The Bloodcore takes blood directly from Mairyell's body, which is why he is near constantly thirsty to some degree, and why he has to almost constantly devour blood, unless it is his sister's blood which appears to be the closest to his own original human blood and thus will sate him for at least 4 times as long as normal, not to mention amplify his human abilities and strengthen his sanity. If his bloodcore is removed, he will die, if it destroyed he will also die. Essentially, it is his greatest weakness, not to mention that it glows slightly.... Mairyell's bloodcore is intriguing in that it will show the state he is in physically by how brightly, or dimly, it glows. If he were near death, there would be but an ember of redish light at its core, while the rest would be dull and nearly gray. If he is satisfied (aka has gotten his fill by way of feeding) the bloodcore will glow a fierce red, almost like fire.

Malice State: Possessing a weaker amplification level than Bloodlust State, Malice was created by Mairyell as a go between where he can amplify his focus through adrenaline and the manipulation of his own essence. By balancing himself partially with Brisn and his own willpower, Mairyell is capable of briefly amplifying his blood manipulation and awareness. This tends to last for only 5 or so minutes before knocking him unconscious, weakening him, or sending him hurtling into the currently uncontrollable Bloodlust State.

Bloodlust State: When Mairyell's body runs out of blood, or he becomes enraged, he will enter 'Bloodlust' state. This state, more or less, is caused by intense stress, either of the body or of the mind, and will be triggered also if he is in immense pain or danger. In fact, since it is linked to his mind, and thus emotional state, it can be triggered by fear of loss, specifically losing his sister, who is his only living family and in a sense represents his apparently lost humanity. When entering bloodlust state, Mairyell's bloodcore will release some of its stored blood through his pores. This will coat his skin in the substance, then it will harden like a shell as two bloody wings, and a tail, burst from from his body. His face is almost entirely obscured by the same blood, his eyes becoming burning pits of swirling coagulated crimson, and his mouth almost appearing to shift as small, thin, but strong teeth form. Once this transformation is complete, and believe me it completes rather fast, Mairyell will temporarily lose the majority of his rationale, becoming an animalistic (usually) monster intent on destroying the object of his anger, hatred, or otherwise physical distress. Mairyell DOES in fact remember small amounts of what occurs during his changes into this form, but not everything. It should be noted that as his control of his abilities strengthens and balances out, he may be capable of turning into this state willfully, while retaining his sanity during, but that is far off it seems. Additionally, in this state all physical attributes are peaked and he becomes even faster, making him almost appear to vanish when moving at top speed.

Magical Abilities:

Brisn(Blue energy): A barely active magic inherited from his late mother, Mairyell is capable of manifesting a water-blue energy with properties reminiscent of its elemental color. This magic has one simple ability, and that is the ability to absorb other energies. However, it is capable of effecting only living beings and elemental energies, thus it is weaker against non-elemental varieties of magic. Its effects on both living beings and elements is essentially absorption, but in two very different manners. When applied to a living being, this absorption will occur on any wounds, essentially 'absorbing' them from the body and thus healing them. When effecting elemental energies it will pull them into itself, amplify them slightly, and retain some of the properties. After which, the Brisn can be utilized to blast back the element, though both this and the healing does cost the user magical energies, as all magic should. There are likely other uses for this magic, but at the moment this is all Mairyell knows. He is not yet very capable with this magic. When Mairyell utilizes Brisn, his eyes go from a purplish coloration to a blue one, becoming increasingly lighter blue with every use, or the length of use. After a few minutes, the blue coloration will begin wearing off. This is similar to his use of 'Blood' magic, as that will cause his eyes to redden.

Blue Blood: This ability, while relating to Mairyell's blood manipulation, is in fact governed by his control over Brisn, making it a magical ability rather than a demonic one. Mairyell's blood, when augmented with Brisn to this extent, loses its acidic and poisonous properties completely as a trade off for its healing and absorption properties. This ability more or less makes up for Mairyell's inability to fully utilize Brisn as his mother does. It allows him to use his blood as a sort of conduit for the ability, thus making it possible for him to channel it through his blood stream to amplify his capabilities, including his regeneration, or to heal others. Mairyell has not mastered this ability and thus cannot use it very well. However, Mairyell can still use his Brisn in his normal blood, though it weakens in intensity making it less useful.

Skills and Learned Abilities:

Combat: Mairyell is skilled in both hand-to-hand and general melee combat as he and his sister have had to survive essentially alone for a good couple years. He also has some knowledge regarding magic, which allows him to be wary of spellcasters and their ilk, not to mention demons. Not only did this cut into profits, but word spread that Kasio Korp was collapsing due to civil strife. Rivals began to push in on Mr. Kasio, both legally and not. It was during this time that Maurice began to increase the security of his warehouses, as well as sending in more and more assassins to seek out his 'dear' children. During one of the duo's raids, they found themselves unable to procure the medication they needed to sedate his strange urges. Because of their failed attempt, Mairyell went into a frenzy, attacking Aeris. During the attack he bit her, getting his first taste of her blood. Unlike any of the other blood he had had up to that point, Aeris' blood almost immediately satiated him. Though he regretted the act later, and tried desperately to keep from doing again afterward, he found himself unable to care during the 'meal.' A strange thing happened while her brother fed on her: the puncture wounds, while present, had not hurt her. Not one bit, and immediately after Mairyell stopped, the wounds closed soon after.

They were interrupted. Three human assassins dropped in on Mairyell and Aeris. The two of them were immediately ensnared with an acid-etched steel net, and rendered helpless. The Council, however, were not done with the Kasio siblings' fate: they sent another angel, a specially trained one known as the Aurist...

Since then, Mairyell and the rest of their small three-person group have traveled here and there, trying to stay alive and well fed, avoiding the ongoing investigation that follows them, with Mairyell suffering from constant nightmares. Of course, he has yet to say anything to either his younger sister or her guardian angel. At this point, the vampire feels like he is being watched to some extent and has become just slightly paranoid.

--Mairyell and his sister have been split up by who Mairyell has come to know as Szayeis, one of the demonic lords, the same demon who was responsible for his mother's death...and his own vampirism. He took it hard, initially becoming frozen with shock after which the appearance of two vampires sent him over the edge, forcing him into a rather terrifying destructive state that drove him to first annihilate one of the two vampires and then a werewolf who arrived soon after, though he had some help from a certain Solus Grim. Following this, Mairyell was reunited with his mother and transported to a place of his childhood. From there he has trained and caught up with his mother.

Capabilities

Demonic Abilities:

Drastically Enhanced Physical Aptitude: As a human infected by demonic influence, Mairyell's physical strength, stamina, durability, speed, reflexes, and instincts have all been amplified greatly. His vampiric nature causes him to be capable of throwing, or lifting, the equivalent weight of a small car, or at least 4 fully grown humans. It'd be fairly simple for Mairyell to break down brick walls and the like as well. His speed, to a human, is very exceptional, but remains in the area of being physically traceable by the eye, but not by much. His durability, normally, is not too much greater than a human's and it is not as if he could block a sword tip by just standing there. However, when it comes to blunt-type weapons, Mairyell does not take as much damage from them as a human would, not to mention that he does in fact regenerate at a certain rate, allowing him to heal from wounds as long as he has blood to fuel this ability. The less blood he has, the less physically enhanced he will become, this does go the opposite direction when his thirst is sated, but this essentially covers the maximum strength already.

As to Mairyell's senses, well they are essentially enhanced, but it isn't like you could make loud or high pitched noises to mess with his hearing, this is due to the fact that his senses are magically enhanced, not physically enhanced. This magical enhancement is, however, passive, but can weaken when the amount of blood his body holds is lessened. His sense of smell could be compared to that of a bloodhound, except greater, allowing him to track things. In fact, he can actually smell someone's blood through their muscle and flesh, which can be very disconcerting, especially when he describes someone as 'tasty'. His vision, last, but not least, could be described similar to a bird of prey's, allowing him to zoom in either for fine detail, or for enhanced range from afar. He, as a human, does not have to move his head, or cock it to the side, to see better though. Lastly are his reflexes, which simply put, should not be fucked with.

Beyond this, there are some weaknesses that should be mentioned. For, while Mairyell will not be killed by it, light does weaken his vampiric abilities somewhat, and causes his blood magic to not be as exceptional. Additionally, sunlight will force him to use more blood, as it is essentially constantly regenerating his body when he is exposed to sunlight. Another unique aspect of Mairyell's brand of demonic affliction, is that while most vampires only possesses two 'bloodsucking' teeth, ALL of Mairyell's teeth serve this purpose.

'Blood' Magic: Mairyell, upon becoming vampiric, gained an odd and ironic ability. He refers to this as 'blood' magic, as it deals with the manipulation of blood. This manipulation to be compared to water manipulation, as he is capable of solidifying, liquifying, and turning to vapor, any blood under his control. Of course, for him to control blood, he must either take it into his own body --by way of feeding-- or make physical contact with any blood that has exited a body. This blood magic thus allows him to levitate, and move blood as he wills it. However, the amount of blood he can control depends entirely on how much he can gather. On the other hand, his bloodcore allows him to literally store gallons worth of blood in his body, without bursting. As seen in Mairyell's fight with an ascended werewolf in the last season, his blood manipulation is a very powerful ability.

At current time, with the assistance of his mother, Layna, Mairyell has managed to mostly master this ability. However, he is still lacking in the extremely fine tuned manipulation that this magic is truly capable of. It will take a good deal of time to get there, though he has found a way to temporarily bypass this.

Black Blood: Due to Mairyell's increasing skill in the manipulation of his own essence via his blood and Brisn, he has discovered that he can increase and decrease the acidity of his own blood to a certain degree. This particular brand of blood has become so dense with essence that it appears black. The properties of this blood are its increased acidity and density, allowing it to take stronger physical and magical attacks when solidified. This ability takes more effort (essence and/or blood) to maintain and is thus more taxing physically and/or magically for him to utilize. While the normal acidity of his blood can burn through wood after a time and can sear flesh, black blood can begin to melt metal and weaken concrete somewhat.

Bloodcore: In the center of his chest, over where his heart is, Mairyell's body sports a ruby-red crystal-like biological structure. This is the primary mutation of his vampiric affliction and is his most fatal weakness, not to mention the cause of his abnormally high metabolic rate. Essentially, Mairyell's bloodcore stores any blood that he ingest, and while it will keep him from dying should he lose the majority of his gathered blood, it also serves as a dangerous weakness. The Bloodcore takes blood directly from Mairyell's body, which is why he is near constantly thirsty to some degree, and why he has to almost constantly devour blood, unless it is his sister's blood which appears to be the closest to his own original human blood and thus will sate him for at least 4 times as long as normal, not to mention amplify his human abilities and strengthen his sanity. If his bloodcore is removed, he will die, if it destroyed he will also die. Essentially, it is his greatest weakness, not to mention that it glows slightly.... Mairyell's bloodcore is intriguing in that it will show the state he is in physically by how brightly, or dimly, it glows. If he were near death, there would be but an ember of redish light at its core, while the rest would be dull and nearly gray. If he is satisfied (aka has gotten his fill by way of feeding) the bloodcore will glow a fierce red, almost like fire.

Malice State: Possessing a weaker amplification level than Bloodlust State, Malice was created by Mairyell as a go between where he can amplify his focus through adrenaline and the manipulation of his own essence. By balancing himself partially with Brisn and his own willpower, Mairyell is capable of briefly amplifying his blood manipulation and awareness. This tends to last for only 5 or so minutes before knocking him unconscious, weakening him, or sending him hurtling into the currently uncontrollable Bloodlust State.

Bloodlust State: When Mairyell's body runs out of blood, or he becomes enraged, he will enter 'Bloodlust' state. This state, more or less, is caused by intense stress, either of the body or of the mind, and will be triggered also if he is in immense pain or danger. In fact, since it is linked to his mind, and thus emotional state, it can be triggered by fear of loss, specifically losing his sister, who is his only living family and in a sense represents his apparently lost humanity. When entering bloodlust state, Mairyell's bloodcore will release some of its stored blood through his pores. This will coat his skin in the substance, then it will harden like a shell as two bloody wings, and a tail, burst from from his body. His face is almost entirely obscured by the same blood, his eyes becoming burning pits of swirling coagulated crimson, and his mouth almost appearing to shift as small, thin, but strong teeth form. Once this transformation is complete, and believe me it completes rather fast, Mairyell will temporarily lose the majority of his rationale, becoming an animalistic (usually) monster intent on destroying the object of his anger, hatred, or otherwise physical distress. Mairyell DOES in fact remember small amounts of what occurs during his changes into this form, but not everything. It should be noted that as his control of his abilities strengthens and balances out, he may be capable of turning into this state willfully, while retaining his sanity during, but that is far off it seems. Additionally, in this state all physical attributes are peaked and he becomes even faster, making him almost appear to vanish when moving at top speed.

Brisn(Blue energy): A barely active magic inherited from his late mother, Mairyell is capable of manifesting a water-blue energy with properties reminiscent of its elemental color. This magic has one simple ability, and that is the ability to absorb other energies. However, it is capable of effecting only living beings and elemental energies, thus it is weaker against non-elemental varieties of magic. Its effects on both living beings and elements is essentially absorption, but in two very different manners. When applied to a living being, this absorption will occur on any wounds, essentially 'absorbing' them from the body and thus healing them. When effecting elemental energies it will pull them into itself, amplify them slightly, and retain some of the properties. After which, the Brisn can be utilized to blast back the element, though both this and the healing does cost the user magical energies, as all magic should. There are likely other uses for this magic, but at the moment this is all Mairyell knows. He is not yet very capable with this magic. When Mairyell utilizes Brisn, his eyes go from a purplish coloration to a blue one, becoming increasingly lighter blue with every use, or the length of use. After a few minutes, the blue coloration will begin wearing off. This is similar to his use of 'Blood' magic, as that will cause his eyes to redden.

Thus people will sometimes offer to help him, or will come to him for assistance. Basically he's a well known hunter, though one who doesn't distinguish between races, and only between the alignment and intentions of the individuals he hunts.

General Activity: Mairyell spends his days fighting, surviving, and generally just experiencing the world. He tends to travel quite a bit and has an interest in the shifting of the times. Personality: Changed by the last 200 years, Mairyell's temper and personality have been quite refined, turning him from an angry strong willed young man to a focused and in control elder, though only in mind. Having lived through the anarchy of the gateway's fall, the war of Judas' reign, and now the relative peace of the new world Mairyell has had plenty of time and experience etched into his brain. He fears seldom, if at all, when it comes to his own life and so he has learned that it is better to enjoy every moment you've got. After all, this world we live in is quite the dangerous place, and he knows it better than many. He wasn't sure what had happened, but soon began to think himself to blame. Before they left, they attempted to bury Rin's body, but were denied. A squad of four pure angels emerged and while two of them wrapped Rinyl's body and picked him up, the other two brandished grimaces and scimitars at the Kasios. The angels uttered not a word as they left them behind.

The Council, however, were not done with the Kasio siblings' fate: they sent another angel, a specially trained one known as the Aurist...

Since then, Mairyell and the rest of their small three-person group have traveled here and there, trying to stay alive and well fed, avoiding the ongoing investigation that follows them, with Mairyell suffering from constant nightmares. Of course, he has yet to say anything to either his younger sister or her guardian angel. At this point, the vampire feels like he is being watched to some extent and has become just slightly paranoid.

Mairyell and his sister have were split up by who Mairyell has come to know as Szayeis, one of the demonic lords, the same demon who was responsible for his mother's death...and his own vampirism. He took it hard, initially becoming frozen with shock after which the appearance of two vampires sent him over the edge, forcing him into a rather terrifying destructive state that drove him to first annihilate one of the two vampires and then a werewolf who arrived soon after, though he had some help from a certain Solus Grim. Following this, Mairyell was reunited with his mother and transported to a place of his childhood. From there he has trained and caught up with his mother.

After the training with his mother, Mairyell sought to visit hell and the Western realm, but to no avail as he couldn't even pass the boundaries of the domain. Annoyed, but unperturbed, Mairyell sought out Solus, who happened to be planning a trip to the dangerous place. Requesting his assistance, the two eventually trekked into the destitute realm, through the space between realms, and eventually arrived at the outer border of the Western Lord's Domain. Entering and trudging past the myriad inhabitants and even a few of the wardens, the two managed to near the Chimeric Citadel, but it was there that they were repelled, driven back by the castle itself.

Angered, Mairyell bid Solus ado, thanking him for the effort and his time, as he departed. With rage in the pit of his stomach and determination on his mind, Mairyell went on what some might consider a massacre. However, none could easily get in his way, as he almost purely slaughtered demons, though the few angels and humans who got in his way found themselves either ignored or quickly rushed off to the hospital.

Eventually he was stopped by Solus, who had recently returned from hell, having continued his visit after Mairyell had left. It was a good thing that Mairyell was tired when the hunter came, though the two still caused enough damage before Mairyell subsided and they disappeared into the murk of the city and away from prying eyes. It was from then that the two became tremulous allies and eventually friends. Alongside the demon hunter, Mairyell's abilities blossomed even further and before he knew I he was fighting on par with the infamous Solus Grim, at the time known as the Necromaster.

However, after their 50 or so years of escapading about, hunting demons, and dealing with a myriad of other strange and interesting situations, Mairyell and Solus separated ways both feeling it was time they give it a break. Solus went onto do his own business whereas the vampire wandered the world. In his travels he saw even more than he'd seen with Solus, but it was things of a different nature...mostly.

It wasn't just the lands around Loom that had fallen into chaos, it was the whole of the globe. In fact, it was as if a plague of destruction, depravity and depression had spread from Loom to envelop the whole of the earth. It was somewhat humbling, but it also saddened Mairyell greatly and for a time he grieved for the peace that had been lost in the world.

However, one can only grieve for so long, and so eventually his humor expanded and the world became a carnival of freaks and hilarity in his eyes. It was insensitive, but for a time it was the only way he could get along without losing his mind to the chaos which infused his surroundings. He was intent not to be defeated by it and his efforts were not in vain. With each innocent person he protected and with each malicious presence he killed, be it an angel, a demon, or a human he gained notoriety of his own. No longer did he ride on the names of others, not that he had, or did, care much for publicity, and so he began to be known by several monikers. The two most prolific among them being 'Blood hound' and 'Sanguine' with the second being most widely known.

Since then he's been ab it bored...so he headed back to where it all started, Loom, in search of an old friend...Solus.

Plenty has occurred, but you'll find out exactly what later.--

Capabilities

Demonic Abilities:

Drastically Enhanced Physical Aptitude: As a human infected by demonic influence, Mairyell's physical strength, stamina, durability, speed, reflexes, and instincts have all been amplified greatly. His vampiric nature causes him to be capable of throwing, or lifting, the equivalent weight of a large truck, though not a semi loaded with cargo. It'd be fairly simple for Mairyell to break down brick walls and still possible for him to cut through iron and mos softer metals. His speed in comparison to a human is exceptional, but remains in the area of being physically traceable by the eye, but not by much. His durability, normally, is not too much greater than a human's and it is not as if he could block a sword tip by just standing there. However, when it comes to blunt-type weapons, Mairyell takes little damage from them unless they are strong enough to break through a brick wall. Capable in his regenerative properties, Mairyell is able to survive all by the most fatal blows, those being to his head or his bloodcore, though damaging his heart or other organs still forces him to more purely focus on his regeneration, and typically to retreat.

As to Mairyell's senses, well they are incredibly enhanced, but it isn't like you could make loud or high pitched noises to mess with his hearing, this is due to the fact that his senses are magically enhanced, not physically enhanced. This magical enhancement is, however, passive, but can weaken when the amount of blood his body holds is lessened. His sense of smell could be compared to that of a bloodhound, except greater, allowing him to track things from almost any distance. In fact, he can actually smell someone's blood through their muscle and flesh, which can be very disconcerting, especially when he describes someone as 'tasty', which he tends to do only in jest...or to mess with people. His vision, last, but not least, could be described similar to a bird of prey's, allowing him to zoom in either for fine detail, or for enhanced range from afar. He, as a human, does not have to move his head, or cock it to the side, to see better though. Lastly are his reflexes, which simply put, should not be fucked with.

Beyond this, there are some weaknesses that should be mentioned. For, while Mairyell will not be killed by it, light does weaken his vampiric abilities somewhat, and causes his blood magic to not be as exceptional. Additionally, sunlight will force him to use more blood, as it is essentially constantly regenerating his body when he is exposed to sunlight, given that he isn't shielded from it. Another unique aspect of Mairyell's brand of demonic affliction, is that while most vampires only possesses two 'bloodsucking' teeth, ALL of Mairyell's teeth serve this purpose. Last, but not least, is the fact that Mairyell's blood can hold a variety of intriguing properties depending on the circumstances.

Bloodcore: In the center of his chest, over where his heart is, Mairyell's body sports a ruby-red crystal-like biological structure. This is the primary mutation of his vampiric affliction and is his most fatal weakness, not to mention the cause of his once abnormally high metabolic rate. Essentially, Mairyell's bloodcore stores any blood that he ingests, and while it will keep him from dying should he lose the majority of his gathered blood, it also serves as a dangerous weakness. The Bloodcore takes blood directly from Mairyell's body, but while it was once a hindrance in this way, it is now a helpful tool. Due to the fact that the structure seems to have no true limit to how much blood it can store, Mairyell is now capable of feasting and feasting to fill the gem, which he seldom does now, and then filtering the blood through himself, using the core as a filter and a storage for his blood related abilities. In this way, Mairyell has been able to almost entirely curb his hunger, though it took some help from his now fully developed Brisn to do so. Destruction or removal of his bloodcore will surely kill him and damage, while it will eventually heal, is excruciatingly painful. At this point in time, Mairyell has trained himself to protect with with several thin elastic coates of semi-coagulated blood. The blood can harden if stress is applied to its surface and he can still manipulate it. Still, it is not in anyway an ultimate solution for this fatal weakness.

Malice State: Possessing a weaker amplification level than Bloodlust State, Malice was created by Mairyell as a go between where he can amplify his focus through adrenaline and the manipulation of his own essence. By balancing himself partially with Brisn and his own willpower, Mairyell is capable of briefly amplifying his blood manipulation and awareness. This tends to last for only 5 or so minutes before knocking him unconscious, weakening him, or sending him hurtling into the currently uncontrollable Bloodlust State.

Bloodlust State: When Mairyell remains in Malice state for too long, deprived of blood, or significantly angered he will undergo a terrible transformation into what has been termed Bloodlust State. This state is more or less caused by intention psychological or physical stress and it is not something that Mairyell, even given 200 years, has been unable to fully harness and control. When entering Bloodlust state the vampire's body will release the last of the stored blood within its Bloodcore, this blood will flow over the surface of his flesh, coating his entire form in the crimson liquid. However, unlike 200 years ago, this transformation does not cause the blood on the surface of his body to harden, for instead it becomes dense and will harden when contact with his body is imminent. Even more terrifying is the fact that it will begin to de-solidify several moments after contact in such a way as to disperse the force of blows outwards across the surface of Mairyell's body.

In addition to this change, all of Mairyell's teeth will enter their feeding form, wherein they all become sharpened like the canine teeth of a human or dog. His body will form a second coat of blood over Mairyell's shoulders, back, and extending off of his tailbone into one long tail. This tail will be composed of a multitude of spines, which at first are invisible to the eye due to the uniform color of his blood. When required, the hard second layer of blood upon Mairyell's back will gather at the bottom of his shoulder blades near his spine and erupt outwards forming his characteristic crimson wings, though with one notable difference: Claws. At the end of each elongated 'finger' that make up his bat-like wings there is a wickedly curved talon.

While within this state Mairyell's eyes will remain crimson and copious amounts of essence and adrenaline will pump through his body almost endlessly. His sense of pain is greatly dulled and his regeneration is accelerated considerably so that any damage not to his brain or bloodcore will not kill him. He is ravenous and considered largely unstoppable as his already demonic physical capabilities are amplified one step further. Normal metal bends, concrete shatters, and human bone and flesh can be easily pulverized.

For the duration of his episode, Mairyell will be barely conscious, only able to acknowledge the fact that he is in Bloodlust state and that he is in great peril. His surroundings are blurred and indistinct to his conscious mind while his animalistic subconscious kills and devours all in its path, regardless of his wishes. Once the transformation is begun it cannot be halted unless he dies or is given significant amounts of blood very quickly. Mairyell's relative power level in this state is comparable to the highest tier warden and he should be stopped at all costs as otherwise he poses a serious threat to anyone within the same city.

Blood Manipulation and Traits: The chief ability granted to him through his vampiric nature, Mairyell is capable of manipulating his blood on both the macro and micro scale, making him, at this point in time, an incredibly skilled and dangerous combatant. While this would at first seem akin to water manipulation, one should keep in mind that Mairyell's blood is not normal. In fact, depending on whether he is channeling his human or demonic essence, the blood will gain several traits. Regardless, Mairyell is able to shape his blood however he wishes, as well as being capable of shifting it between a solid, a liquid, and a mist or fog-like gaseous state.

Mairyell's blood has two general types of traits he can apply to his blood, namely demonic traits magical traits(human). The demonic traits he can imbue into his blood are that of acidity and poison, allowing his blood to essentially destroy physical or biological structures.

Black Blood is the result of Mairyell increasing the amount of demonic essence in his blood of his own blood. This particular brand of blood has become so dense with the demonic aspect of his essence that it appears black. The properties of this blood are its increased acidity and density, allowing it to take stronger physical and magical attacks when solidified. This ability takes more effort (essence and/or blood) to maintain and is thus more taxing physically and/or magically for him to utilize. While the normal acidity of his blood can burn through wood after a time and can easily burn through flesh, black blood can begin to melt metal and weaken somewhat.

Blue Blood is what occurs when Mairyell imbues his blood with his more human essence, infusing it with Brisn, giving it healing and absorption related properties. As such, this blood is able to absorb other essences, or magicks, allowing it to become infused with even more properties if the situation allows. Beyond this the traits of his Blue Blood are that its acidity is decreased from its norm, making it only able to slowly burn through skin, and do little damage to stronger structures, though it would weaken wooden things at a slower rate.

Magical Abilities:

Brisn(Blue energy): Mairyell is capable of manifesting a water-blue energy with properties reminiscent of its elemental color. This magic has one simple ability, and that is the ability to absorb other energies. However, it is capable of effecting only living beings and elemental energies, thus it is weaker against non-elemental varieties of magic. Its effects on both living beings and elements is essentially absorption, but in two very different manners. When applied to a living being, this absorption will occur on any wounds, essentially 'absorbing' them from the body and thus healing them. When effecting elemental energies it will pull them into itself, amplify them slightly, and retain some of the properties. After which, the Brisn can be utilized to blast back the element, though both this and the healing does cost the user magical energies, as all magic should. There are likely other uses for this magic, but at the moment this is all Mairyell knows. He is not yet very capable with this magic. When Mairyell utilizes Brisn, his eyes go from a purplish coloration to a blue one, becoming increasingly lighter blue with every use, or the length of use. After a few minutes, the blue coloration will begin wearing off. This is similar to his use of 'Blood' magic, as that will cause his eyes to redden. This magic is also a strong deterrent of demonic essence making it especially effective against demons. In fact the stronger the demonic essence in an individual, the more powerful Brisn tends to be against them.

Skills and Learned Abilities:

Combat: Having fought to survive and for some enjoyment, at times, for the majority of his now lengthy life, Mairyell has become quite skilled in this field, lending him a hefty amount of experience in this field of expertise. In addition to this his world travels have shown him a myriad of combat styles, magical types, and combat methods of ridiculous variety. In fact, he at some times will even say he's seen every type of combat style under the sun. After all, he's been alive for 224 years. Thus he can be likened to something of a master of street combat and mixed martial arts. To him, everything goes and hold back only when necessary.

Alternate Appearance Info: The Broker stands at roughly 5'10 and weighs a bit more than is normal for his height, though most of it is lean muscle, there is a bit of barely noticeable fat here and there. His gear of course weighs him down a good amount more, but he manages regardless.

General Activity - DealBroker: Bree is a broker of deals, he's an informant, and he's a wanderer. He is infamous, and famously, known for breaking, and making, a variety of deals with a variety of clients. He works on a need to know basis, and is highly unpredictable...but reliable when he feels like it. While that'd seem to directly contradict the concept of reliability, it doesn't, as his skillset and track record make him one of the best, if not the best, in his line of work. It should be noted that he makes three types of 'deals'. It should be noted that the Broker has small bases in all the major cities, including Echetus. He of course keeps his angelic origins secret, and makes deals with even Judas' faction.

Deals: Can be made and broken, are sealed only by one's own word and an agreement of sort. These can really entail anything, but when making these one should know that they are completely subjective and debatable between the Broker's many personalities. This means that any one of them can and will have different ways of achieving, or sabotaging, any given deal according to their own wishes.

Binds: These are deals which he binds either himself or his client to via the Art of Athriohm applied in a way that is not typically used. These are not entirely subjective, but are not entirely objective either in terms of his personalities and their meaning. However, since these deals are written out they can be worded in such a way as to not give his personalities any wiggle room. Still, one has to be almost as careful with these, as if you write them wrong...you could end up in a ditch somewhere, making love to an elephant on a tricycle.

Promises: These deals have been agreed on between all of his personalities mutually in some fashion and as such will be fulfilled, regardless of the methods --unless it has been stated what methods must be used-- and as such are considerably less subjective than the two previous types of deal. Broker never breaks his promises, but he also almost never makes them. They are a rare commodity and if they are made, you better be careful what you're asking for...because the Broker always pays his dues.

Personality: That's a rather difficult question to be answerin'. Regardless, I'll try my hand in explainin' a thing or two 'bout me. First rule, don't cross me, second rule, don't listen to the first rule because that'd be pretty obscene. What? You don't believe me, well I guess that's pretty warranted considerin'. I mean I ain't exactly a simple guy, and calling me easy ta understand'd be the fraud of the century, don'tcha think?

It should be noted that he's been in the business for at least 20 years, though it could be a bit longer. Hard to know since his definite age isn't quite known either.

Abilities and Equipment

Equipment:

Dustkickers: These heavy duty boots have small compartments in them, allowing its user to kick up 'black dust,' otherwise known as gunpowder. These boots have a thin metal lining too, as well as running spikes reminiscent of track shoes to allow for a high level of traction. He has enchanted these boots slightly using the Art, so as to make them lighter, but only to him, so he can move with less restriction than would normally be allowed but still dish out a good asskicking.

Dustproof: This particular portion of his garb, his Duster, has gained its name from the fact that he continually adds enchantments to it and it has hit the point where the Duster itself is immune to most things with the exception of getting dusty. It can shield him somewhat from things like heat and slashing attacks, not mentioning its ability to contain air, allowing him to close it around his head to give him a very limited air supply in areas where he'd otherwise be unable to breath. While the Duster itself is pretty much invulnerable, being mostly capable of blocking piercing attacks, not to mention elemental assaults, it in no way protects him from the force behind these blows. This is why he will tend to get bruising and broken bones, rather than getting stabbed, burned or drowned. Crushing attacks are particularly dangerous to him for this exact reason. It should be noted that this duster is not actually invulnerable as it does take some of his own energy, and the energy from the environment, to fuel its various enchantments. He has stated, to Anastaesia, that it can only last so long in any given conflict if he doesn't want to exhaust himself just to keep its effects active.

Silverchains: These twin Colt 1911's, aka M1911's, are named as such due to both their silver coloration and because of their unique enchantments. The 'chain' part of their name comes from the fact that at the base of each pistol's grip --on the bottom part that'd normally face the ground when firing straight ahead-- is a small sigil. These sigils, which are on the aforementioned portion of each handgun, can be activated by a small influx of essence, allowing chains to spawn from within them and connect the two pistols.This chain, or rather the silver utilized to make it, is stored within the sigils themselves. There is a decent amount of silver, in fact there is enough silver within the sigils to create a twenty two foot chain that connects the two weapons. This chain is extremely sharp to enemies, but completely dull to allies. How it differentiates between the two is a mystery. Other than this, there is a small secondary “trigger” on each gun. This trigger is more of a “button” mechanism that has been enchanted so as to link to the opposite pistol. This allows the Broker to fire a pistol without actually touching it, as long as he is touching its twin. This is particularly useful when he is using the chain.

Black Beauties: With enough power to do a significant amount of damage wherever it hits, the Black Beauties can teleport to one another, as there are small sigils on his finger tips which allows this. The sad part about this is that the Broker must be somewhat aware of the position or location that the guns are for him to summon them to him. Otherwise they can randomly appear in different locations, or he'll accidentally summon “similar” energies to himself rather than the guns themselves. Additionally, the golden markings on the Black Beauties allow the guns to fire not only normal ammo, but to fire essence as well. In fact, the guns have been modified so that the portion of the gun directly corresponding with the hole in the barrel, but located on the rear-facing portion of the weapon, can fold open to pull essence, or the like, into the gun to be fired through the barrel. Last, but not least, the Black Beauties gain their color not from a natural metal, but from being continually exposed to demonic essence. This makes them not only more durable and sturdy, but also means that, should he have to fight one of the other races, he can damage each of them in unique ways. The Black Beauties transfer some of this demonic energy into the bullets, making these pistols particularly effective against angels.

Impression Sheathes: These gloves, though they are more like a strange kind of fingerless leather gauntlets, have had the very surface of their forms altered so that they can shift shape somewhat, though to a very limited degree. As such, the gloves can cover his fingers completely if needed, in addition to the fact that he can overlay sigils onto their form and the fabric will remember the sigils for later use.

Volgaris: Volgaris is a hat, a plain, but stylish, stetman hat that happens to be the Broker's favorite. It is the one item on his person that isn't enchanted to be useful in battle. Its sole enchantment has something to do with augmenting itself with absolutely insane levels of good luck. Considering the fact that Broker has been in numerous situations where it could've been lost destroyed or damaged, yet against insurmountable odds it remains in perfect condition, as such Bree assumes that its enchantment is working, but he's still not quite sure....

RedShine: A weapon that might as well be composed of enchantments, RedShine is made of a metal that was crafted through the use of the Art. This metal has a mixture of properties, giving it the sturdiness of steel and iron, but the conductivity and anti-demon properties of silver. The properties of the elastic rapier, and the hard piercing longsword have both been augmented into this blade and can be switched on and off by altering the pressure being placed on the grip of the blade. To increase the blade's elasticity the pressure must be light, to decrease the elasticity the pressure must be greater. There exists a third function to this blade and that is to channel the essence of silver or to pull the blood of other beings into the blade. When the blood is pulled in it can either be purified or its traits can augment the blade to harm a particular race depending on who, or rather what race, the blood belongs to. RedShine can only contain foreign essence for a maximum of ten minutes after which point it will disperse into the surrounding environment. RedShine can replicate, but only once, allowing him twin blades rather than just a lonely sword.

BlackLeech: As its name implies, BlackLeech is capable of pulling trace amounts of essence from biological, or inanimate, materials that it comes into contact with. BlackLeech works primarily with biological matter, but can be used on inanimate matter as well. It should be noted that BlackLeech has four other notable traits. Firstly that it is composed of the same metal as RedShine; Secondly that it can only hold up to one essence signature at a time; Thirdly, BlackLeech cannot hold essence for more than twenty seconds; Last of all, when it cuts a living thing the process of essence being absorbed causes a rushing and burning sensation on the cut area.

Tuner: The sheath to Bree's dagger, Tuner can pull any essence from the BlackLeech and store it for later use. Tuner can store or combine up to six different separate essences, allowing it to be a container for essence that requires analysis at a later time or to serve as a conduit for BlackLeech or Bree's magic.

The Sniffer: This object works much like a compass and a yard stick in that it detects essence as well as pointing to essence signatures that are imputed into its apparatus. Additionally, the Sniffer is capable of detecting the predominant type of essence in any given area, as well as the levels of each less dominant kind, meaning it can tell how much angelic, human, and demonic essence is in any given area. Last, but not least, is the fact that the Sniffer can point to the most potent source/congregation of essence. The device has various 'hands' and the like to point to these locations, as well as a meter or two on the back, covered by the metal, which can easily be opened for the Broker to see. The device is enchanted so that it is essentially indestructible (though not entirely so), and will vanish from perception when not being used.

Personal Capabilities:

Personality of a Hundred Headed Demon: Due to the magical accident that transpired in his childhood, the DealBreaker's personality has been forever altered...constantly. Strangely, while his sister was infected by demonic influence and turned wolf, the Broker's mind was instead altered causing the 'hinges' and limiters on his personality to essentially disappear. In addition to this his essence, which was quite stable before, especially considering his angelic heritage, has become rampant and unpredictable. As such his personality, views, opinions, and general bias can change at the drop of a hat, the turn of a shoulder, or the flip of a coin. These changes are completely random and unpredictable, in fact even the Broker himself is unable to tell when his mind will change next. However, despite these changes, the Broker does not have any lapses in memory and always knows what is going on in a situation. Thus it is quite difficult to confuse or offset his general understanding. Additionally, because of having to constantly adapt to himself and how he handles his environment, and people in general, Broker has developed an innate sense relating to people and how they function. Due to his personality, the Broker possesses what is referred to as Orange and Blue Morality.

The Perfect Conman: Once again deriving from his Personality, the Broker is often called the Perfect Conman because while his myriad personalities do not all get along, almost none of them will try to get in the way of their own collective well-being. This is one of his many rules, and is likely one of the rules that truly holds him together as a functional person in society. Without it he'd fall to shambles.

“Guy's got connections”: Due to his many years in the profession of Deals, the Broker is quite well connected. It's even rumored that should someone say something, somewhere, three cities away, in a dark alley, he'll hear it given a day or two. No one is quite sure how he does it, but the Broker manages to know more than he lets on, or let on more than he knows, quite often. He has a miraculous ability to judge people's character, know how to deal with 'em, and even to figure out their general workings within the space of several minutes of interaction. If dialogue is included it gives him an even clearer picture, but regardless it is still guess work unless one of his many mysterious informants have managed to get the info around to him.

The Nasty Macgyver: Outside of the abilities that primarily originate from his divergent personalities, Broker has exceptional skill at improvisation and this even comes into play when he is in a sticky situation and has to make the best of a small amount of resources. He has earned this title, of a sort, from getting himself in and out of situations with tools and objects that would not typically be helpful in those situations, but nonetheless got him out alive and (mostly) in one piece. Because of this, those who have dealt with him on the opposite side before know to try and take as many of his valuables, trinkets, and otherwise belongings when trying to keep him tied up, or in captivity in general, because if they don't they might just end up on the pointy end of a toothpick.

Constractsman, the Smithy of Deals: Utilizing the Art of Athriohm and some rather tricky methods, the DealBroker is capable of writing binding contracts that are not upheld by something as flimsy as a government, but rather by the very essence of the individuals who sign it with their signature. While he will sometimes call these contracts, he will more often refer to them as 'Dealbinds,' 'Binds,' or 'Binding Deals.' Their overall categorization falls somewhere between his definitions of 'Deal' and 'Promise' which can be seen far above.

Swordsmanship: He sure as hell ain't a master swordsman, but he is far from amateur in the art of swordplay and can hold his own against most of decent, or considerable, skill. He prefers light fast blades, allowing him high maneuverability, a bending unpredictable strike, or a solid defense by way of offensive prowess. At the same time, some of his personalities like to switch gears and use his blade(s) as a defense, allowing him to trap his opponent and then use one of his other abilities to finish 'em off.

Marksmanship: While he's no soldier and he's no pro, the Broker has sufficient skill to get by when it comes to marksmanship, though he does prefer revolvers and Desert Eagle pistols to get the job done most of the time, he will sometimes don more heavy weaponry to do the dirty deed. It should be noted that some of his personalities dislike the use of firearms and so will not use them traditionally, or even at all depending on their opinion(s).

Trickshot: While he is no master, his skill with his weapons of choice, mentioned above, are considerable, allowing him to pull some pretty miraculous stunts sometimes.

Psychological Knowledge and Manipulation: Due in part to his Personality, which can be described as that of a hundred headed demon, Broker is quite good at manipulating people to do what he wants. At the very least he can typically turn situations to his favor in some way, allowing him to masterfully switch gears and sides pretty much instantly. Additionally, he has dabbled in the study of the psyche in order to attempt to understand his own shifting personality better, and while it didn't help him too much in that regard, it has given him some useful tools. It should be noted that because of his shifting disposition, the Broker can very easily deal with and understand a wide variety of people. Many people who have observed him actually think him to be able to perfectly understand nigh anyone due to this shifting syndrome of his, this is however an overestimation of his abilities, which are impressive nonetheless.

The Art of Athriohm: While he did find his own master to study under at one point, the man died tragically at the hands of the council prior to the completion of his apprenticeship. He has since managed to scrounge up information on the Art, do his own research, and plenty of experimentation. This has allowed him to gain just enough skill at it that he can manage himself. However, his skill with the Art is not strong enough on its lonesome (in most situations or if used traditionally) to serve as his primary fighting skill. It does however, give him a lot of variability, as it can easily augment any of his other skills.

Juggler: Having learned it just for the heck of it, also to amuse his younger sister when they were both kids, Broker has since turned it into a useful ability. At this point in time he'll use it to wield multiple sets of weapons at once, or quickly switch between different tools or the like in difficult situations. Lastly his hand-eye coordination is improved by this greatly, allowing him to easier keep track of multiple variables, objects, and individuals in any given situation.

Minor Explosive Knowledge: Since watching pretty explosions is fun and some of his more...dastardly clients want rather big Deals fulfilled, he has learned how to properly use various hand-held, or otherwise, explosives. Some of these include grenades, flash grenades, and C4.

Dualwelding: Because of his ability to utilize both his hands, since he is ambidextrous, though he started as left handed, the Broker has developed a high level of compatibility to dual wield not only two of the same weapon, but two completely different weapons or tools. In addition to this, the Broker can 'weld' two skillsets together almost flawlessly. Combined with his ability to wield the Art, he can even combine two objects together for rather interesting contraptions, though he doesn't do this last bit too often since it can be rather taxing.

History: Seisui is not so much his past as he is a persona defined in the moment. As such all that needs be known is that his life has consisted of being raised under the tenants of the Mayonaka and with the discipline necessary for his clan's legacy to be passed onto him. He recently set off on his pilgrimage to refine and become a grandmaster of his clan's style. He spent extra time within the clan compound to allow the Shizukana-ryū-ji no to truly engrave itself in his body and mind.

Personality: "At our core we are human beings, our purpose is that of the conduit through which flows the power to give tranquility to any who oppose us, whether they believe it to be such or not. I am a conduit just as you are, a human conduit, through which the tranquility can flow; I walk a path of serenity and peace despite the damage I appear to deal on the surface. Like his great grandfather Kōtaku, Seisui is resolute of his purpose, his sense of self, and knows what he must do, always. However, in the scope of wisdom he is yet lacking to his ancestor and still has much to learn by comparison. Seisui is a calm existence, filled with understanding and empathy for those around him. He strives to understand himself, others, and the world in order to reach the purest state of his existence. While this is indeed the perpetual wish of practitioners of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no it is still indeed a strong aspiration to which he reaches. Yet while resolute in this he is nowhere near perfect, in fact Seisui has many flaws, as all men and woman do. While he does not have the shortest of tempers he is known to react badly to what he perceives as 'insults to swordsmanship and the blade'. He is unforgiving when truly slighted and rather disgusted by those of hypocritical nature. When faced with a foe he know he cannot best, Seisui will not bow his head, and he will not run, but he will instead push himself to the furthest edges of his ability and hope for a miracle.

Description:
A blade whose essence has been passed down through the Mayonaka family since its beginning, Chinmoku changes with each of its wielders' passing. The blade, due to how many times it has been altered and had chakra poured into its magnificent form has become nigh unbreakable and gained an edge so sharp that in the right hands it could easily sheer through even the strongest of substances. Due to the nature of Chinmoku and the fact that with each passing generation it is reforged and renamed, something unique has come of its existence making it much more than just an ancestral blade. With each passing wielder it is melted down and taken apart only to be created once more to better suit the inheritor. Its name is than chosen via the use of the wielder's closest relatives, for while the user names the blade themselves and to express its new form and how it will be used, it must still reflect several of its more recent wielders to remember its place in the world. Beyond these facts there is still a very unique aspect that many never truly realize is present in Chinmoku, for only with in depth meditation and reflection with the blade can one realize that within the blade is something similar to a soul or consciousness of some form. In fact, from the very beginning, Chinmoku has imprinted the skills and wisdom of its wielder into itself, acting as an ancient record of all those who have wielded it in earnest. These skills and this wisdom can be accessed through meditation and trained into a form that can become reliable in combat, but in no way are they easy to obtain. After all, the blade has a consciousness, and to truly unlock its secrets Chinmoku's sheath must be taken off the wielder's person so that there is no filter between the blade and the wielder's consciousnesses. It becomes a tug of war, a power struggle to see whom shall truly influence whom. Once the blade has however lost this struggle and its wisdom and imprinted skill has been unlocked, the user can once again don Tōrenai-men to naikō and still access the bounty of experience imprinted within Chinmoku.

To expand, one ought to understand the nature of Chinmoku's sheath, Tōrenai-men to naikō, for without this sheath chinmoku would become an unwieldable monster, or rather it would be foolhardy to wield it if one did not want to go insane. In essence, the Tōrenai-men to naikō was created to filter the influence of Chinmoku's soul on its wielder. When Chinmoku is sheathed its influence is entirely filtered, and even if drawn it is not able to subjugate or totally influence its wielder as long as the Tōrenai-men to naikō is on their person. It is only when the blade is wielded and sheath discarded that its influence becomes dangerous to the mind of the wielder. Otherwise it has been seen that the sheath is just as resistant to damage as Chinmoku itself, the actual reasons behind this are unknown, but it is thought that the sheath was made to be even more impervious than Chinmoku so that it would not be destroyed, damaged, or influenced by the blade which it is meant to limit. Last of all, it has been seen that the Tōrenai-men to naikō has an incredibly calming effect on any whom it touches, entering them almost into a state of pure all consuming serenity. This effect can be felt even through clothing and indirectly through a weapon or armor, though its effects would be noticeably dulled. It is said that, in essence, Chinmoku and Tōrenai-men to naikō are the yin and yang to one another, for while Chinmoku is used for physical damage and destruction --embodying the yang-- Tōrenai-men to naikō is used to bring peace and serenity by way of sheathing the blade and keeping it from destroying --thus embodying the yin. So it has been seen that one cannot be used without the other, plain and simple.

"To the eyes of a swordsman it is a strange aloof thing, beautiful in its strangeness; to a peasant it is a strange peace embodied by the swordsman's form, blade and sheath and mortality alike; but to the truest of swordmasters, one who understands that there is always more to learn, it is a masterpiece constantly renewing itself to perfection. This is the Shizukana-ryū-ji no, the style of the tranquil path," - Mayonaka, Yōi-tsūka.

Just as his grandmother told him so many years ago, the style of the Mayonaka clan is indeed a constantly renewing masterpiece. For while many a style does not change once one has considered it perfected, this style is not as such. With every passing generation is is altered slightly to reach further into the concept of perfection that the user of that generation holds in their core.

There are two codes which practitioners of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no live, the first set of codes are those of the Mayonaka family, while the second are the dogma of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no itself. While those from outside can attempt to learn the Lotus dogma and become practitioners of the Style of the Tranquil Path, it is unlikely that they would ever truly be full practitioners of masters as they lack the background of the Mayonaka.

Tenants of Mayonaka

• Be humble, but understanding of yourself and your place in the world. However, never allow yourself to limit yourself to this position.
• Judge one by your impressions of them, but do not underestimate them due to your judgements.
• Strive till your limits, then come to understand what keeps you there and again surpass yourself.
• Do not squander or show off one's abilities and talents, to do either is to demean oneself.
• While one may judge and adapt, understand that you can easily be proven incorrect.
• When proven incorrect, accept that you were wrong and change.
• Be malleable only to your own will and the will of the universe.
• Respect those wiser and more skilled than yourself.
• Be changed by all, but be moved by only yourself.

The Lotus Dogma

The four petals of the lotus flower, a flower which sits upon the surface of the water and spreads its arms in the four directions, represent the four core ways that the blade is drawn and wielded in the Shizukana-ryū-ji no. These four methods of unsheathing and positioning the blade are considered part of the No geijutsu nodjiita ken(の芸術野地板剣 'Art of Sheathing a Sword'). These forms are each named after one of the four cardinal directions each of which have their own purpose in the scope of the style, without one form the others would simply not be in balance, that is the way of tranquility.

Kita-muki Renge-hen(北向き蓮花片 'North Facing Lotus Petal') draws the blade with its edge facing forwards and its tip pointing upwards, the sheath comes off by pulling it up along the blade rather than drawing the blade from the sheath. This is considered one of the most bizarre of the No geijutsu nodjiita ken, but is nonetheless necessary. Typically the user will place the sheath upon their shoulder with the edge of their blade pointing away from their body even while within the sheath. One of the few dogmas that has the user fully draw the blade almost at all times, the Kita-muki Renge-hen is used for frontal attack. Once the blade is drawn, the sheath tends to move to the shoulder opposite where the blade was originally drawn from. The blade itself is then held with the dominant hand with the blade vertical, tip pointing up, edge facing away and forwards. The pinky is used to stabilize it, while the rest of the hand grasps it, the arm in a diagonally downwards position. This dogma is actually used to create openings by sliding the attacks down the blade, and then utilizing the sheath to strike the attacks away from the blade as it flows right into position to strike the opening. It tends to throw the attacker off balance while allowing the wielder to flow from defense into attack almost effortlessly.

Azuma-muki Renge-hen(東向き蓮花片 'East Facing Lotus Petal') begins with one of the wielder's shoulders facing towards their enemy as they stand sideways. The left palm cradles the sheath, the blade's point aimed forwards towards the enemy or target and the sheathed edge facing away from the user's side, to the right. The fingers of the left hand are pointed towards the hilt as the hand cradles the sheath while its kin on the right hand easily grasp the grip of the blade. With this the stance is set and the user may use the variable movements of the sheathed tip with precision to disrupt the flow of attacks and then sway the blade to the other side of the body, exposing the other shoulder and hiding the prior thus allowing the blade to be drawn, its edge still facing right, to strike. This No geijutsu nodjiita ken is utilized to disrupt and then simultaneously block and strike the following counter if necessary. It is an intriguing and certainly unique form of the style.

Minami-muki Renge-hen(南向き蓮花片 'South Facing Lotus Petal') is likely the most bizarre forms of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no as it is not used in true conflict, or at least that is not its primary purpose. Rather than conflict the form is used to disarm an armed opponent, even if this opponent's weapon is their body, their jutsu, or their mind. Standing with feet apart and the point of the blade facing to either side, blade horizontal and sheathed edge pointing towards the wielder, this style begins. Beside the blade itself, as the sheath is seldom used in this form, a guard on the forearm is typically applied so as to shield from the wielder's blade as it is held in reverse grip with the edge facing towards the arm rather than away. Another of this form's defining characteristics is that most of its attacks are delivered backwards and are piercing or pincer oriented. Beyond this there is only one other truly unique thing to be said regarding the Minami-muki Renge-hen, and that is that it is the only form (excluding the Shinzui no Hasu) of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no that can tap into the yin and yang of both the wielder and their opponent intentionally. It does this by using the blade as a conduit, which is how they manage to seal off certain capabilities, or even tenketsu if one is skilled enough. In this way it differentiates itself from the other No geijutsu no nodjiita ken.

Nishi ni menshi Renge-hen(西に面した蓮花片 'West Facing Lotus Petal') first cradles the sheathed blade with the left arm, letting most of the sheath rest against the crook of the elbow. Within the sheath the edge will face away from the user's body, conversely it can face towards the user's body if they happen to wield the blade better with their left arm rather than their right. Given that they are right handed though, they will rest their left hand, fingers outstretched, along the sheath near where the blade's hilt is located. The blade is drawn by simultaneously pulling the sheath back with the left arm and drawing the blade with the right hand. The only explicit rule of this dogma is that the edge must always face towards the user's left side, meaning if it is drawn from the right side, its edge must be pointing towards the left. Many applications of this style do not actually fully draw the blade. Rather the sheath and hilt are used to block and trap the weapons or attacks of the enemy, flick them away and then quick draw when openings are present. Additionally, with a hand on the sheath and a hand on the katana, the blade can be sheathed and drawn at increased speeds allowing a limb to be more easily cut off by forcing the blade through it by manipulating the it via the sheath's movement and positioning.

Shinzui no Hasu(真髄の蓮 'Core of the Lotus') is both the initial and final style of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no as it is used first without its definitive stances to test the opponent(s), and then later as a last resort to be the core of the lotus dogma and bring together the other four petals into a cohesive whole, a unifying central point. In its essence it is simple yet complex as it unites the four forms into a wonderful state referred to as Mabayui mankai which simply allows the user to do something that'd be otherwise essentially impossible, utilize all the forms with little to no hesitation as one flows through them and with no possibility of harming oneself. Lastly it does one thing that no other form of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no, it discards the sheath.

Description: Using the same principle as the samurai sabre technique, Mayonaka clansman who master the Shizukana-ryū-ji no are taught to utilize this technique. Through pushing chakra into their blade, the user will create what appears to be an almost a cylindrical formation of chakra, making their blade omnidirectional and also non-existent. It shields the wielder from the blade's edge, and simultaneously makes it deadly from all angles. Not only this, but it acts as an imprint of the Tōrenai-men to naikō for a short period of time, thus allowing them to better handle the influence of Chinmoku's unrestrained power.

Weakness: While it acts as an imprint of the Tōrenai-men to naikō it cannot do so indefinitely and will only last for around 8 minutes max, though currently Seisui can only hold its imprinted effects for around 5. Such is the limitation of the technique.

Description: Once Mabayui mankai is active, the user is capable of utilizing this technique. Designed to allow the user to utilize the movements of the Nishi ni menshi Renge-hen stance, Menimienai jokyo adds an additional layer of chakra just over the surface of the Mabayui mankai, allowing the user to grip and remove it at high speed. This additional layer looks no different from those below it and thus cannot be seen with normal vision, though doujutsu like the byakugan would be able to tell the difference. This technique essentially facilitates of the Iaido like techniques of the aforementioned stance, which would otherwise be impossible without the use of the practitioner's sheath.

Weakness: This technique can only be utilized when Mabayui mankai is active and the user has initiated the complete Shinzui no hasu stance. The additonal layer of chakra takes only a fraction of a second to create and requires an utterly miniscule amount of chakra however, every second counts in combat so the user must time its use well lest their opponent(s) gain the upper hand.

This causes the two objects/constructs to be pushed away from one another at high speed. Practitioners of the Shizukana-ryū-ji no utilize this technique on their sheath and sword whether it is physical or not, allowing them to preform terrifyingly fast quick draws, which carry enough momentum to shear through flesh and bone easily, and enough to cut rock. Metal can become dented or cracked if it is not reinforced sufficiently when this attack hits it. This technique is typically used during the state of the completed Shinzui no hasu after Menimienai jokyo has been activated.

Weakness: Dodge or block it. Additionally, the chakra build up can be noted by adept users of the chakra sensing technique, and those who possess doujutsu.

General Activity - Enchanter and Demon Hunter: While he is not too well known, Vaihrn is a wandering demon hunter and enchanter, willing to enchant or create objects for others for a price. He will also take contracts to slay demons or protect others. He is rather picky about this though. Vaihrn has a base of operations in Kenan for the moment.

Personality: Vaihrn is, without a doubt, a complicated young man. His whole life has been mercilessly rife with bitter strife and jealousy, notably of his older sister whose stellar achievements have long granted her excellent command of the family's respect, honor, and love; crucial ingredients that Vaihrn often had to struggle without through his younger years. Having to settle for such emotional scraps has rendered him into a swiss cheese bundle of masked layers full of cracks and holes that he could not patch up even to save his life. As such, he is prone to muttering self-denigrating comments to himself, as well as resisting manic temptations to freak the fuck out. This is most evident when he tries to hide insecurities, especially around new people. Fortunately, when it matters most, say in battle, he is often capable of preserving his principles and remaining determined to the end.

There are some common grounds that Vaihrn shares with his family. His utter hatred for demons and those associated with them is wrought with profuse vehemence, most clearly demonstrated by his refusal to even tolerate any form of compromise with them. However, on the other hand Vaihrn can suppress his dislike for angelic company, thus allowing cooperation and interaction to exist, the only exception being with grossly over-arrogant angels. Between these two extremes, though, he is fairly kind and nice, almost always playing by the rules (he simply doesn't feel beholden to them). He tends to take a neutral stance in most situations, but if he is attacked or presumed innocents are in trouble, he will retaliate with full force.

In addition to this, Vaihrn has a very mellow temper, one only roused by intense injury or death of innocents and even less often, the underestimation of the few skills he has some measure of pride in. While he does not mind his skills in battle being questioned, he will not tolerate it when people denigrate his skills int he Art of Athriohm, something that he excels in. Thus, when weapons enchanted by his deft hands and mind are underestimated, he takes to mild annoyance, or sometimes a sort of smug confidence at what will happen next. He is most at home in his workshop, but does not mind traveling due to his time with his late, and much loved, Grandfather, Dorin Katela. If he, or his ancestor Esvario, are insulted, Vaihrn will also take serious offense. Beyond this, Vaihrn is an intelligent young man with his fair share in survival experience, but a sad lack of confidence. Despite his lack of confidence, Vaihrn does possess a rather good sense of humor, even if it is self-denigrating at times.

Vaihrn has developed a sort of defense mechanism, allowing him to suppress his timidness and the like under a tough facade so as to allow him to properly function...kind of. His emotional insecurities tend to come up even when the facade is up, it's just that he can focus a bit better and hide the storm going on inside of his mind from others.

Biography:

A boy with childhood stolen, Vaihrn was never allowed to attend school, to obtain friends, or to let his plentiful creativity be stretched like the wings of so many angels. One might think him sheltered, but he was not. As a young child, Vaihrn was treasured as this generations first born son, though he was second in age to his sister, Saerin, he still had the admiration of his family.

Sadly, it did not last. As he began to spread his wings and hint to his family that his skills dwelled in places other than the family profession, they stunted his growth, clipping his wings early. Indoctrination one might have called it. They showered him with compliments and enthusiastically encouraged behaviors reminiscent of hunters, demon hunters.Yes, Vaihrn was both fortunate and unfortunate to be born into a family of demon hunters. Fortunate for the angelic council protected them as long as they did no harm to angels, and unfortunate because the majority of his passions sought to lead him elsewhere.

It was unfortunate that greatness had been an expectation hoisted onto him since early in his life. He was a Katela after all and was expected of no less. His mother, his father, even his elder sister, pressured him, pushing him further into himself as they forced him to train in their ways. Yet there was one sanctuary from them, and it was in stories. Stories told to him by his grandfather, the only member of his family who served as a respite from expectation, the only open mind among the Katela family line. However, it was not till the age of eight that he could voice his interests, and four struggling years later, he had obtained the means necessary to resist the crushing, nauseating force of familial peer-pressure.

Apprehension had filled him, as he knew that to follow his passion meant defying family tradition. For unlike his kin, who had carried out their duties for decades, Vaihrn meant to deviate from the path of the demon hunter, and do something different with his life, if only in part.

So regardless of the threat of disappointing his family, the young Vaihrn could only follow his heart, even if no one else in his family followed theirs. Even if it meant being the black sheep, and possibly a disgrace to the family name. Thus Vaihrn began his training under the tutelage of his grandfather, a man who was respected for his hunting accomplishments rather than his knowledge in the art of Athriohm.

Athriohm, the art of recalculation, a seldom used ancient magic commonly known as 'sealing' or even 'enchanting'. It was this art that drew Vaihrn's interest and it was what he had pleaded to be taught for years. Each story of his childhood had gradually built his enthusiasm and piqued his interest, but he had not shown it, not until that fateful day that he denied his mother and his father the right to teach him their trade.

There was fear, then and now, of rejection, of not fitting in. He had no want for hatred. Yet, he could not bring himself to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors. At least, not the ancestors that his parents followed. The stories that had been told to him by his grandfather detailed the exploits of the man's oldest recorded ancestor, Athriohm Esvario. This man had not been considered a warrior, but rather a genius and a savior. Yet, despite the acclaim that his family now knew he followed, they gave him no support. So, even as the mocking words of his accomplished sister and the backhanded remarks of his father, Vaihrn timidly trudged on.

However, with a will too weak to resist their prodding, he eventually compromised, agreeing to learn from his mother as well. So he picked up two skill-sets, learning the agility and reflexes of a hunter, and the subtle art of enchantment and seals. He began to weave them together, forming a unique partnership between the once separate disciplines. His father, unyielding in his determination to sway his only son, began to take efforts to cut him off from his grandfather. A mistake, for Dorin would have nothing of his son's actions, and so eventually, a harsh divide was made in the family, and when Vaihrn chose to follow his grandfather, it became even harsher.

Moving often, Vaihrn and the elder man traveled, visiting various relevant sites and studying the runes, sometimes even assisting with minor enchantments or the like in the places they visited. He was happy, until he and Dorin found themselves against their first demon. Well, at least it was Vaihrn's first, and so when faced by the horrid eight limbed beast, face grotesque, eyes as dark as the void, he panicked. All his skills proved useless when the demon struck towards the weaker of the two first, seeking easy prey. Dorin would however, not let his dearest and only grandson perish, and so he weaved the sigils and drew his enchanted daggers to slay the beast.

Blocking its physical assaults with seal and blade, Dorin evaded its grasp by entering its personal space, where he moved to strike. A flash of liquid and suddenly much seared flesh, and Dorin fell to his knees, the entirety of his upper body and head seared by acid. Cackling, the demon laughed, before it collapsed, unable to move with its limbs bound and severed.

Vaihrn, after several tremulous minutes and a stunned look on his young, pre-teen features, finally stood and walked to his grandfather, who still seemed alive, but certainly near death. The man, to his last moment, never moved from his kneeling position, and never failed to kill the demon, as his daggers had lodged themselves in the beast, causing it to slowly bleed to death.

Tears welling in his eyes, he leaned close to hear the final words of the old seal master, "Find the O-Origin. M-my research...the library." Then Dorin placed his hand, or what was left of its burned form, against his grandson's chest and forehead and drew two circles with several patterns with his own blood.

Vaihrn opened his mouth, wordless, as Dorin's hand fell, limp, and the old man's body collapsed into his arms.

The boy never got over the death of his tutor and grandfather. In fact, from that day on an intense hatred for demons was instilled deep in Vaihrn's heart. A passion followed suit, fueled by the memory of his grandfather, and he practically devoured the research left behind by the man he had idolized for much of his life. At first he became a shut-in, until he helped a passerby survive the attack of an ascended vampire, and succeeded in its defeat. The stranger's encouragement of such and thanks inspired Vaihrn to help others, even if he felt he was rubbish at it.

So he came to become a contractor of sorts, enchanting weapons and the like for those who could pay, or even going so far as to deal with the few demons he felt himself capable of handling, even if he was in truth capable of far more.

It was only when his talents were truly put to the test by the appearance of his now friend and ally, Devin, a girl in need of specific balancing and sealing. So, it took him a few days, but he managed to craft a seal that would both assist in the balancing of the essences housed within her, and seal the essence of an angel within. It was, by far, the most challenging thing he'd ever done and it has given him at least a little confidence in himself. One can only hope his confidence increases, for without it he will never find the Origin.

–During the last year, Vaihrn did in fact manage to meet up with Devin, before they again parted ways once he had preformed various tweaks on the balancing algorithms of her sigils. They left one another ways to get in contact, but with the instability spreading throughout the area surrounding Loom, not to mention the newly forming cities they were unable to reconnect. In fact, they've been trying to locate one another since their parting soon after the fall of Loom.

As such he has been surviving, figuring out ways to enter and exit different cities, not to mention bettering his gear and skills. While he has been unable to truly alter his self deprecating attitude and destructive behaviors, he has managed to pull them in somewhat and create a sort of tough facade. It is likely that had he not done this, he would not still be alive today.

He has managed to set up small bases in Omnity's cities, these act as bases of operation so that he is able to operate from wherever he travels. He has essentially stopped working with others with the exception of making contracts. He does not do escorts, but will eliminate threats from an area or the like. This is due to the large amount of betrayals he has had to deal with in the last few months, making him more cautious and less trusting in general.

He has begun to identify his own mental issues as a form of intense social anxiety.--

Abilities and Gear

Equipment:

Normal Garb: Vaihrn's normal clothes have been modified from their original design, as he has enchanted them with a variety of traits that the fabric would not typically have. Traits from iron and steel have been drawn out, as well as carbon, which he then had to replicate over a good deal of time and form a sort of carbon mesh with. The fabric has gained a layer or two, allowing Vaihrn's hoodie to do some truly incredible things. It is, in fact, one of the most heavily enchanted objects on his person. Like his grandfather's garb, which he still carries with him, these clothes allow him to handle considerably more heat, as well as insulating him when necessary to defend from cold, though it can only do one at a time. The surface texture of the fabric alters depending on the situation. If he is met with brute force it becomes rigid and sturdy, absorbing some of the force of the blow, but not all of it.

Unlike his grandfather's garb, Vaihrn's will alter its fabric into a sort of carbon-metal mesh to stop piercing attacks from hitting him on the first few tries. Its weakness is if you focus on the same general area with multiple attacks, weakening the material with each successive attack. Out of battle the material will draw on essence (a mixture of external essence and his own) to rebuild its structure and fuel its functions. This normal garb is composed of a hoodie, a belt, and a two other identical silver belts that are wrapped around his arms in combat, but stored as liquid silver in his sleeves when out of combat.

Waist Belt: This belt, composed of silver, both holds Vaihrn's Silver Vials and functions as a Sigil storage. This belt can store a total of 12 sigils, which are typically not altered as they store several sigils that Vaihrn often utilizes.

Arm Belts: These belts which are typically liquified in compartments in his sleeves, or flowing through pores in his clothing that are conductive of his essence, which these are infused with. These belts have three general purposes which are as follows:

1.)They can be utilized in their belt form to store three sigils each, allowing him a total of 18 sigils to utilize in combat.
2.)They can be utilized as free flowing silver for more or less the same purpose as the silver in his silver vials.
3.)Their free flowing manifestation can be channeled through the pores of his garb, allowing him to focus it for defense as well as for counters.

Silver Vials: He carries several vials with condensed liquid silver in them. This silver is enchanted to remain in a liquid state until commanded otherwise by the specific essence signature of its user. There are enough vials to hold the silver necessary to form several swords. This silver is also enchanted with a burning effect, causing it to burn things it comes into contact with if the user wills such. These vials are held by the Waist belt. This silver is imbued with his essence.

Gloves: These leather gloves have been altered to be less retrictive to dexterity as well as to act as an attractor of surrounding essence once the user's essence has been conducted through them. They are heat resistant and extremely durable, even more so then the hoodie. Unlike the hoodie they cannot absorb the force of blows, but they cannot be cut in order to compensate for that fact.

Note: His garb does not include any particular pair of pants. Instead he tends to save an enchantment for the set he wears that day. Additionally, his undershirt and other clothing is not effected/enchanted so simply removing the belt(s) and hoodie would be a viable way to reduce his defenses.

[Grandfather's Garb]: Enchanted in such a way that it protects the user from all, but the hottest of flames (white hot) as well as being capable of absorbing damage from physical strikes. While it cannot be punctured, the wearer can still be stabbed as the cloth will simply be pushed back and into the wound. In addition to this, Vaihrn has added several seals on its form that allows the user to channel their energies in such a way as to allow him to summon any of his weapons back to his hands (via the gloves).

Vita tonsis(Life culls)[Heirloom Daggers]: Two daggers pried from the dying body of the demon that killed his grandfather, these are enchanted so as to stop regeneration on the point of cutting. This effect can be nullified by external healing magic, but cannot typically be bypassed by natural regeneration. The daggers hum when Warden or above level demons are within a three block radius.

Physical and Mental Capabilities

Speed and Agility: While not inhumanly fast, Vaihrn has a considerable amount of speed, comparable to the average track runner. However, he is not able to run at top speed for very long. He is capable of running at around 3/4ths of his top speed for a good amount of time, allowing him to maintain a fair amount of speed in combat situations. Additionally, he is rather agile, having learned how to easily traverse most environments from his mother. This allows him to move about the city, or otherwise landscape, very fluidly. It is one of the few skills that he can say he is at least okay at, which for him is saying something since he typically does not admit such things.

Tactical Intelligence and Memory Recall: Vaihrn's memory is exceptionally good and this is primarily because he has practiced at it since the death of his lamented grandfather, Dorin. This allows him to easily recall the various sigils and the smaller symbols and glyphs within them. In addition to this skill, Vaihrn was lucky enough to have inherited his father's tactical prowess, though it has also come from his observation in early childhood. Thus Vaihrn is actually adept at analyzing situations and coming up with logical plans based on either his own skills or the skills of him and his allies.

Dexterity and Multitasking: Vaihrn is very good with his hands, and the smaller appendages attached to them, allowing him to very easily put things together as well as draw the sigils related to his craft. Additionally, he is very capable in the area of multitasking, allowing him to not only be capable of paying attention to his surroundings, but be able to preform multiple actions simultaneously without getting confused easily.

Demonic Lore Master: Growing up, Vaihrn was exposed to many stories about his family's various hunting exploits as well as various lessons in order to prepare him for real life hunts. Thus he has become something of an expert on demonic anatomy, lore, and generally whatever knowledge is needed to make their essences cease.

Scientific Knowledge: Vaihrn has begun to notice the correlation of the periodic table of elements with the traits he can imbue into different objects and so he has studied up on them somewhat. As such he retains a good deal of knowledge regarding the various elements, allowing him to better enchant objects or create various effects. He has not figured out all of the different patterns that essence creates or follows to create these elements, so he cannot yet use all of them to make things, but he is decent with a few.

Magical Skills:

The Art of Athriohm: An ancient magic of unknown origin, Athriohm has to deal with the manipulation of various magical energies, both from the user and various materials and the like. Most practitioners of the art are able to pull various energies out of even inanimate objects, as each thing that exists holds its own power, effect, or inherent traits. One might call this essence, but perhaps not. Regardless, the art is capable of then imbuing the essence(s) it has drawn out into other objects freely by weaving the two (or more) energies together into a cohesive whole. Depending on the complexity of the energies and the skill of the user, more complex effects and modifications can be made. This modification is referred to as enchanting, though in truth it is called 'imbuing' or 'weaving'. The other aspect of the art is the ability to create, weave, and place what are referred to as 'seals' by most, but are actually called 'sigils'. Seals are different from imbuing due to the fact that imbuing takes preexisting attributes and reallocates them into new entities, while sigils will take preexisting essence, or the essence of the user, and modify it in such a way as to suit their purposes.

Thus, the Art of Athriohm is essentially the fine tuned control of essence and how it interacts with various objects, surfaces, and magical symbols. It is the control of essence (or magical energy, whichever fits the correct definition) in order to create or destroy. One could even call it the root of human magic, but no one truly knows, for no one has been able to ascertain just how old the art truly is. It should be noted that the majority of Anriohm, or recalculators, are on a constant search for what is simply referred to as 'The Origin'. Each of them wishes to discover where their art originated from, who created it, why it works.

--Vaihrn's skill level in the Art focuses in the creation of enchantments, meaning he uses sigils less than he utilizes weaving, making him more dangerous in combat as it allows him to use weaving to create sigils and augment items more or less on the fly. This does however, a considerably greater toll on him overall.--

Environmental Awareness and Magical Attunement: Through the use of establishing a sort of sensory aura around himself, Vaihrn is able to sense things in his immediate surroundings and create a sort of mental map of the surrounding area. If he is mobile, this area is considerably smaller, spanning a maximum of half the average city block radius, with its maximum size being half a mile when motionless and focusing with the entirety of his attention, which is rather difficult. Additionally, Vaihrn is capable of easily sensing magical activity and the presence of other beings, not to mention what race they are.

Essence Vision: A unique skill that not all practitioners develop, Vaihrn can actually see the flow of essence in its myriad forms in his surroundings. This cannot be entirely shut off and when suppressed it acts as his magical attunement, though that does not lessen when he stops suppressing this sight. More or less, this allows him to see essence that would normally be invisible, thus allowing him t track people via their essence, as well as identify various types of magic and their functions. This ability is in part what allows his skill in weaving to be so developed despite his age.

Silver Manipulation: By enchanting the silver that he carries, Vaihrn has attuned it to his essence signature, allowing him to control it as if it were an extension of his body. He can solidify and liquefy it more or less at will. This skill is very similar to the magic that his family typically teaches a supplementary skill to their physical prowess. He is primarily skilled in the defensive use of this, but can attack if necessary. He is still learning to use this effectively, though he likes to use it as a conduit for The Art.

Alternate Appearance Info: The Broker stands at roughly 5'10 and weighs a bit more than is normal for his height, though most of it is lean muscle, there is a bit of barely noticeable fat here and there. His gear of course weighs him down a good amount more, but he manages regardless.

General Activity - DealBroker: Bree is a broker of deals, he's an informant, and he's a wanderer. He is infamous, and famously, known for breaking, and making, a variety of deals with a variety of clients. He works on a need to know basis, and is highly unpredictable...but reliable when he feels like it. While that'd seem to directly contradict the concept of reliability, it doesn't, as his skillset and track record make him one of the best, if not the best, in his line of work. It should be noted that he makes three types of 'deals'. It should be noted that the Broker has small bases in all the major cities, including Echetus. He of course keeps his angelic origins secret, and makes deals with even Judas' faction.

Deals: Can be made and broken, are sealed only by one's own word and an agreement of sort. These can really entail anything, but when making these one should know that they are completely subjective and debatable between the Broker's many personalities. This means that any one of them can and will have different ways of achieving, or sabotaging, any given deal according to their own wishes.

Binds: These are deals which he binds either himself or his client to via the Art of Athriohm applied in a way that is not typically used. These are not entirely subjective, but are not entirely objective either in terms of his personalities and their meaning. However, since these deals are written out they can be worded in such a way as to not give his personalities any wiggle room. Still, one has to be almost as careful with these, as if you write them wrong...you could end up in a ditch somewhere, making love to an elephant on a tricycle.

Promises: These deals have been agreed on between all of his personalities mutually in some fashion and as such will be fulfilled, regardless of the methods --unless it has been stated what methods must be used-- and as such are considerably less subjective than the two previous types of deal. Broker never breaks his promises, but he also almost never makes them. They are a rare commodity and if they are made, you better be careful what you're asking for...because the Broker always pays his dues.

Personality: That's a rather difficult question to be answerin'. Regardless, I'll try my hand in explainin' a thing or two 'bout me. First rule, don't cross me, second rule, don't listen to the first rule because that'd be pretty obscene. What? You don't believe me, well I guess that's pretty warranted considerin'. I mean I ain't exactly a simple guy, and calling me easy ta understand'd be the fraud of the century, don'tcha think?

It should be noted that he's been in the business for at least 20 years, though it could be a bit longer. Hard to know since his definite age isn't quite known either.

Abilities and Equipment

Equipment:

Dustkickers: These heavy duty boots have small compartments in them, allowing its user to kick up 'black dust,' otherwise known as gunpowder. These boots have a thin metal lining too, as well as running spikes reminiscent of track shoes to allow for a high level of traction. He has enchanted these boots slightly using the Art, so as to make them lighter, but only to him, so he can move with less restriction than would normally be allowed but still dish out a good asskicking.

Dustproof: This particular portion of his garb, his Duster, has gained its name from the fact that he continually adds enchantments to it and it has hit the point where the Duster itself is immune to most things with the exception of getting dusty. It can shield him somewhat from things like heat and slashing attacks, not mentioning its ability to contain air, allowing him to close it around his head to give him a very limited air supply in areas where he'd otherwise be unable to breath. While the Duster itself is pretty much invulnerable, being mostly capable of blocking piercing attacks, not to mention elemental assaults, it in no way protects him from the force behind these blows. This is why he will tend to get bruising and broken bones, rather than getting stabbed, burned or drowned. Crushing attacks are particularly dangerous to him for this exact reason. It should be noted that this duster is not actually invulnerable as it does take some of his own energy, and the energy from the environment, to fuel its various enchantments. He has stated, to Anastaesia, that it can only last so long in any given conflict if he doesn't want to exhaust himself just to keep its effects active.

Silverchains: These twin Colt 1911's, aka M1911's, are named as such due to both their silver coloration and because of their unique enchantments. The 'chain' part of their name comes from the fact that at the base of each pistol's grip --on the bottom part that'd normally face the ground when firing straight ahead-- is a small sigil. These sigils, which are on the aforementioned portion of each handgun, can be activated by a small influx of essence, allowing chains to spawn from within them and connect the two pistols.This chain, or rather the silver utilized to make it, is stored within the sigils themselves. There is a decent amount of silver, in fact there is enough silver within the sigils to create a twenty two foot chain that connects the two weapons. This chain is extremely sharp to enemies, but completely dull to allies. How it differentiates between the two is a mystery. Other than this, there is a small secondary “trigger” on each gun. This trigger is more of a “button” mechanism that has been enchanted so as to link to the opposite pistol. This allows the Broker to fire a pistol without actually touching it, as long as he is touching its twin. This is particularly useful when he is using the chain.

Black Beauties: With enough power to do a significant amount of damage wherever it hits, the Black Beauties can teleport to one another, as there are small sigils on his finger tips which allows this. The sad part about this is that the Broker must be somewhat aware of the position or location that the guns are for him to summon them to him. Otherwise they can randomly appear in different locations, or he'll accidentally summon “similar” energies to himself rather than the guns themselves. Additionally, the golden markings on the Black Beauties allow the guns to fire not only normal ammo, but to fire essence as well. In fact, the guns have been modified so that the portion of the gun directly corresponding with the hole in the barrel, but located on the rear-facing portion of the weapon, can fold open to pull essence, or the like, into the gun to be fired through the barrel. Last, but not least, the Black Beauties gain their color not from a natural metal, but from being continually exposed to demonic essence. This makes them not only more durable and sturdy, but also means that, should he have to fight one of the other races, he can damage each of them in unique ways. The Black Beauties transfer some of this demonic energy into the bullets, making these pistols particularly effective against angels.

Essence Bullets: The way these essence projectiles act is slightly variable as the Broker is capable of altering the nature of the essence to, say, have a weak, but focused, explosive effect as well as other myriad possibilities. However, the essence will usually act like a normal bullet, though it is slightly faster, thus giving it more piercing power. Why are essence bullets faster? Well, they have less mass than a normal bullet would, and thus less weight. The typical properties of an essence bullet would thus be increased accuracy and speed, but usually decreased power unless the essence bullet is charged with more essence than normal or is imbued with an effect of some sort via the Art.

Impression Sheathes: These gloves, though they are more like a strange kind of fingerless leather gauntlets, have had the very surface of their forms altered so that they can shift shape somewhat, though to a very limited degree. As such, the gloves can cover his fingers completely if needed, in addition to the fact that he can overlay sigils onto their form and the fabric will remember the sigils for later use.

Volgaris: Volgaris is a hat, a plain, but stylish, stetman hat that happens to be the Broker's favorite. It is the one item on his person that isn't enchanted to be useful in battle. Its sole enchantment has something to do with augmenting itself with absolutely insane levels of good luck. Considering the fact that Broker has been in numerous situations where it could've been lost destroyed or damaged, yet against insurmountable odds it remains in perfect condition, as such Bree assumes that its enchantment is working, but he's still not quite sure. Besides this, the hat has a track record of being...addicting. Yes, the hat, over time, will look more and more appealing to others. After multiple consecutive years of being around the hat, people become compelled to steal it. As such, the Broker tends to stay away from others. He's not sure where the trait came from and he's been trying to get rid of it...with no luck whatsoever. How ironic.

RedShine: A weapon that might as well be composed of enchantments, RedShine is made of a metal that was crafted through the use of the Art. This metal has a mixture of properties, giving it the sturdiness of steel and iron, but the conductivity and anti-demon properties of silver. The properties of the elastic rapier, and the hard piercing longsword have both been augmented into this blade and can be switched on and off by altering the pressure being placed on the grip of the blade. To increase the blade's elasticity the pressure must be light, to decrease the elasticity the pressure must be greater. There exists a third function to this blade and that is to channel the essence of silver or to pull the blood of other beings into the blade. When the blood is pulled in it can either be purified or its traits can augment the blade to harm a particular race depending on who, or rather what race, the blood belongs to. RedShine can only contain foreign essence for a maximum of ten minutes after which point it will disperse into the surrounding environment. RedShine can replicate, but only once, allowing him twin blades rather than just a lonely sword. It should be noted that RedShine cannot intake anymore essence until three minutes after the time which the essence it was housing exits its form.

BlackLeech: As its name implies, BlackLeech is capable of pulling trace amounts of essence from biological, or inanimate, materials that it comes into contact with. BlackLeech works primarily with biological matter, but can be used on inanimate matter as well. It should be noted that BlackLeech has four other notable traits. Firstly that it is composed of the same metal as RedShine; Secondly that it can only hold up to one essence signature at a time; Thirdly, BlackLeech cannot hold essence for more than twenty seconds; Last of all, when it cuts a living thing the process of essence being absorbed causes a rushing and burning sensation on the cut area.

Tuner: The sheath to Bree's dagger, Tuner can pull any essence from the BlackLeech and store it for later use. Tuner can store or combine up to six different separate essences, allowing it to be a container for essence that requires analysis at a later time or to serve as a conduit for BlackLeech or Bree's magic.

The Sniffer: This object works much like a compass and a yard stick in that it detects essence as well as pointing to essence signatures that are imputed into its apparatus. Additionally, the Sniffer is capable of detecting the predominant type of essence in any given area, as well as the levels of each less dominant kind, meaning it can tell how much angelic, human, and demonic essence is in any given area. Last, but not least, is the fact that the Sniffer can point to the most potent source/congregation of essence. The device has various 'hands' and the like to point to these locations, as well as a meter or two on the back, covered by the metal, which can easily be opened for the Broker to see. The device is enchanted so that it is essentially indestructible (though not entirely so), and will vanish from perception when not being used.

Personal Capabilities:

Personality of a Hundred Headed Demon: Due to the magical accident that transpired in his childhood, the DealBreaker's personality has been forever altered...constantly. Strangely, while his sister was infected by demonic influence and turned wolf, the Broker's mind was instead altered causing the 'hinges' and limiters on his personality to essentially disappear. In addition to this his essence, which was quite stable before, especially considering his angelic heritage, has become rampant and unpredictable. As such his personality, views, opinions, and general bias can change at the drop of a hat, the turn of a shoulder, or the flip of a coin. These changes are completely random and unpredictable, in fact even the Broker himself is unable to tell when his mind will change next. However, despite these changes, the Broker does not have any lapses in memory and always knows what is going on in a situation. Thus it is quite difficult to confuse or offset his general understanding. Additionally, because of having to constantly adapt to himself and how he handles his environment, and people in general, Broker has developed an innate sense relating to people and how they function. Due to his personality, the Broker possesses what is referred to as Orange and Blue Morality.

The Perfect Conman: Once again deriving from his Personality, the Broker is often called the Perfect Conman because while his myriad personalities do not all get along, almost none of them will try to get in the way of their own collective well-being. This is one of his many rules, and is likely one of the rules that truly holds him together as a functional person in society. Without it he'd fall to shambles.

“Guy's got connections”: Due to his many years in the profession of Deals, the Broker is quite well connected. It's even rumored that should someone say something, somewhere, three cities away, in a dark alley, he'll hear it given a day or two. No one is quite sure how he does it, but the Broker manages to know more than he lets on, or let on more than he knows, quite often. He has a miraculous ability to judge people's character, know how to deal with 'em, and even to figure out their general workings within the space of several minutes of interaction. If dialogue is included it gives him an even clearer picture, but regardless it is still guess work unless one of his many mysterious informants have managed to get the info around to him.

The Nasty Macgyver: Outside of the abilities that primarily originate from his divergent personalities, Broker has exceptional skill at improvisation and this even comes into play when he is in a sticky situation and has to make the best of a small amount of resources. He has earned this title, of a sort, from getting himself in and out of situations with tools and objects that would not typically be helpful in those situations, but nonetheless got him out alive and (mostly) in one piece. Because of this, those who have dealt with him on the opposite side before know to try and take as many of his valuables, trinkets, and otherwise belongings when trying to keep him tied up, or in captivity in general, because if they don't they might just end up on the pointy end of a toothpick.

Constractsman, the Smithy of Deals: Utilizing the Art of Athriohm and some rather tricky methods, the DealBroker is capable of writing binding contracts that are not upheld by something as flimsy as a government, but rather by the very essence of the individuals who sign it with their signature. While he will sometimes call these contracts, he will more often refer to them as 'Dealbinds,' 'Binds,' or 'Binding Deals.' Their overall categorization falls somewhere between his definitions of 'Deal' and 'Promise' which can be seen far above.

Swordsmanship: He sure as hell ain't a master swordsman, but he is far from amateur in the art of swordplay and can hold his own against most of decent, or considerable, skill. He prefers light fast blades, allowing him high maneuverability, a bending unpredictable strike, or a solid defense by way of offensive prowess. At the same time, some of his personalities like to switch gears and use his blade(s) as a defense, allowing him to trap his opponent and then use one of his other abilities to finish 'em off.

Marksmanship: While he's no soldier and he's no pro, the Broker has sufficient skill to get by when it comes to marksmanship, though he does prefer revolvers and Desert Eagle pistols to get the job done most of the time, he will sometimes don more heavy weaponry to do the dirty deed. It should be noted that some of his personalities dislike the use of firearms and so will not use them traditionally, or even at all depending on their opinion(s).

Trickshot: While he is no master, his skill with his weapons of choice, mentioned above, are considerable, allowing him to pull some pretty miraculous stunts sometimes.

Psychological Knowledge and Manipulation: Due in part to his Personality, which can be described as that of a hundred headed demon, Broker is quite good at manipulating people to do what he wants. At the very least he can typically turn situations to his favor in some way, allowing him to masterfully switch gears and sides pretty much instantly. Additionally, he has dabbled in the study of the psyche in order to attempt to understand his own shifting personality better, and while it didn't help him too much in that regard, it has given him some useful tools. It should be noted that because of his shifting disposition, the Broker can very easily deal with and understand a wide variety of people. Many people who have observed him actually think him to be able to perfectly understand nigh anyone due to this shifting syndrome of his, this is however an overestimation of his abilities, which are impressive nonetheless.

The Art of Athriohm: While he did find his own master to study under at one point, the man died tragically at the hands of the council prior to the completion of his apprenticeship. He has since managed to scrounge up information on the Art, do his own research, and plenty of experimentation. This has allowed him to gain just enough skill at it that he can manage himself. However, his skill with the Art is not strong enough on its lonesome (in most situations or if used traditionally) to serve as his primary fighting skill. It does however, give him a lot of variability, as it can easily augment any of his other skills.

Juggler: Having learned it just for the heck of it, also to amuse his younger sister when they were both kids, Broker has since turned it into a useful ability. At this point in time he'll use it to wield multiple sets of weapons at once, or quickly switch between different tools or the like in difficult situations. Lastly his hand-eye coordination is improved by this greatly, allowing him to easier keep track of multiple variables, objects, and individuals in any given situation.

Minor Explosive Knowledge: Since watching pretty explosions is fun and some of his more...dastardly clients want rather big Deals fulfilled, he has learned how to properly use various hand-held, or otherwise, explosives. Some of these include grenades, flash grenades, and C4.

Dualwelding: Because of his ability to utilize both his hands, since he is ambidextrous, though he started as left handed, the Broker has developed a high level of compatibility to dual wield not only two of the same weapon, but two completely different weapons or tools. In addition to this, the Broker can 'weld' two skillsets together almost flawlessly. Combined with his ability to wield the Art, he can even combine two objects together for rather interesting contraptions, though he doesn't do this last bit too often since it can be rather taxing.

Personality: Vaihrn is, without a doubt, a complicated young man. His whole life has been mercilessly rife with bitter strife and jealousy, notably of his older sister whose stellar achievements have long granted her excellent command of the family's respect, honor, and love; crucial ingredients that Vaihrn often had to struggle without through his younger years. Having to settle for such emotional scraps has rendered him into a swiss cheese bundle of masked layers full of cracks and holes that he could not patch up even to save his life. As such, he is prone to muttering self-denigrating comments to himself, as well as resisting manic temptations to freak the fuck out. This is most evident when he tries to hide insecurities, especially around new people. Fortunately, when it matters most, say in battle, he is often capable of preserving his principles and remaining determined to the end.

There are some common grounds that Vaihrn shares with his family. His utter hatred for demons and those associated with them is wrought with profuse vehemence, most clearly demonstrated by his refusal to even tolerate any form of compromise with them. However, on the other hand Vaihrn can suppress his dislike for angelic company, thus allowing cooperation and interaction to exist, the only exception being with grossly over-arrogant angels. Between these two extremes, though, he is fairly kind and nice, almost always playing by the rules (he simply doesn't feel beholden to them). He tends to take a neutral stance in most situations, but if he is attacked or presumed innocents are in trouble, he will retaliate with full force.

In addition to this, Vaihrn has a very mellow temper, one only roused by intense injury or death of innocents and even less often, the underestimation of the few skills he has some measure of pride in. While he does not mind his skills in battle being questioned, he will not tolerate it when people denigrate his skills int he Art of Athriohm, something that he excels in. Thus, when weapons enchanted by his deft hands and mind are underestimated, he takes to mild annoyance, or sometimes a sort of smug confidence at what will happen next. He is most at home in his workshop, but does not mind traveling due to his time with his late, and much loved, Grandfather, Dorin Katela. If he, or his ancestor Esvario, are insulted, Vaihrn will also take serious offense. Beyond this, Vaihrn is an intelligent young man with his fair share in survival experience, but a sad lack of confidence. Despite his lack of confidence, Vaihrn does possess a rather good sense of humor, even if it is self-denigrating at times.

Vaihrn has developed a sort of defense mechanism, allowing him to suppress his timidness and the like under a tough facade so as to allow him to properly function...kind of. His emotional insecurities tend to come up even when the facade is up, it's just that he can focus a bit better and hide the storm going on inside of his mind from others.

Biography:

A boy with childhood stolen, Vaihrn was never allowed to attend school, to obtain friends, or to let his plentiful creativity be stretched like the wings of so many angels. One might think him sheltered, but he was not. As a young child, Vaihrn was treasured as this generations first born son, though he was second in age to his sister, Saerin, he still had the admiration of his family.

Sadly, it did not last. As he began to spread his wings and hint to his family that his skills dwelled in places other than the family profession, they stunted his growth, clipping his wings early. Indoctrination one might have called it. They showered him with compliments and enthusiastically encouraged behaviors reminiscent of hunters, demon hunters.Yes, Vaihrn was both fortunate and unfortunate to be born into a family of demon hunters. Fortunate for the angelic council protected them as long as they did no harm to angels, and unfortunate because the majority of his passions sought to lead him elsewhere.

It was unfortunate that greatness had been an expectation hoisted onto him since early in his life. He was a Katela after all and was expected of no less. His mother, his father, even his elder sister, pressured him, pushing him further into himself as they forced him to train in their ways. Yet there was one sanctuary from them, and it was in stories. Stories told to him by his grandfather, the only member of his family who served as a respite from expectation, the only open mind among the Katela family line. However, it was not till the age of eight that he could voice his interests, and four struggling years later, he had obtained the means necessary to resist the crushing, nauseating force of familial peer-pressure.

Apprehension had filled him, as he knew that to follow his passion meant defying family tradition. For unlike his kin, who had carried out their duties for decades, Vaihrn meant to deviate from the path of the demon hunter, and do something different with his life, if only in part.

So regardless of the threat of disappointing his family, the young Vaihrn could only follow his heart, even if no one else in his family followed theirs. Even if it meant being the black sheep, and possibly a disgrace to the family name. Thus Vaihrn began his training under the tutelage of his grandfather, a man who was respected for his hunting accomplishments rather than his knowledge in the art of Athriohm.

Athriohm, the art of recalculation, a seldom used ancient magic commonly known as 'sealing' or even 'enchanting'. It was this art that drew Vaihrn's interest and it was what he had pleaded to be taught for years. Each story of his childhood had gradually built his enthusiasm and piqued his interest, but he had not shown it, not until that fateful day that he denied his mother and his father the right to teach him their trade.

There was fear, then and now, of rejection, of not fitting in. He had no want for hatred. Yet, he could not bring himself to follow in the footsteps of his ancestors. At least, not the ancestors that his parents followed. The stories that had been told to him by his grandfather detailed the exploits of the man's oldest recorded ancestor, Athriohm Esvario. This man had not been considered a warrior, but rather a genius and a savior. Yet, despite the acclaim that his family now knew he followed, they gave him no support. So, even as the mocking words of his accomplished sister and the backhanded remarks of his father, Vaihrn timidly trudged on.

However, with a will too weak to resist their prodding, he eventually compromised, agreeing to learn from his mother as well. So he picked up two skill-sets, learning the agility and reflexes of a hunter, and the subtle art of enchantment and seals. He began to weave them together, forming a unique partnership between the once separate disciplines. His father, unyielding in his determination to sway his only son, began to take efforts to cut him off from his grandfather. A mistake, for Dorin would have nothing of his son's actions, and so eventually, a harsh divide was made in the family, and when Vaihrn chose to follow his grandfather, it became even harsher.

Moving often, Vaihrn and the elder man traveled, visiting various relevant sites and studying the runes, sometimes even assisting with minor enchantments or the like in the places they visited. He was happy, until he and Dorin found themselves against their first demon. Well, at least it was Vaihrn's first, and so when faced by the horrid eight limbed beast, face grotesque, eyes as dark as the void, he panicked. All his skills proved useless when the demon struck towards the weaker of the two first, seeking easy prey. Dorin would however, not let his dearest and only grandson perish, and so he weaved the sigils and drew his enchanted daggers to slay the beast.

Blocking its physical assaults with seal and blade, Dorin evaded its grasp by entering its personal space, where he moved to strike. A flash of liquid and suddenly much seared flesh, and Dorin fell to his knees, the entirety of his upper body and head seared by acid. Cackling, the demon laughed, before it collapsed, unable to move with its limbs bound and severed.

Vaihrn, after several tremulous minutes and a stunned look on his young, pre-teen features, finally stood and walked to his grandfather, who still seemed alive, but certainly near death. The man, to his last moment, never moved from his kneeling position, and never failed to kill the demon, as his daggers had lodged themselves in the beast, causing it to slowly bleed to death.

Tears welling in his eyes, he leaned close to hear the final words of the old seal master, "Find the O-Origin. M-my research...the library." Then Dorin placed his hand, or what was left of its burned form, against his grandson's chest and forehead and drew two circles with several patterns with his own blood.

Vaihrn opened his mouth, wordless, as Dorin's hand fell, limp, and the old man's body collapsed into his arms.

The boy never got over the death of his tutor and grandfather. In fact, from that day on an intense hatred for demons was instilled deep in Vaihrn's heart. A passion followed suit, fueled by the memory of his grandfather, and he practically devoured the research left behind by the man he had idolized for much of his life. At first he became a shut-in, until he helped a passerby survive the attack of an ascended vampire, and succeeded in its defeat. The stranger's encouragement of such and thanks inspired Vaihrn to help others, even if he felt he was rubbish at it.

So he came to become a contractor of sorts, enchanting weapons and the like for those who could pay, or even going so far as to deal with the few demons he felt himself capable of handling, even if he was in truth capable of far more.

It was only when his talents were truly put to the test by the appearance of his now friend and ally, Devin, a girl in need of specific balancing and sealing. So, it took him a few days, but he managed to craft a seal that would both assist in the balancing of the essences housed within her, and seal the essence of an angel within. It was, by far, the most challenging thing he'd ever done and it has given him at least a little confidence in himself. One can only hope his confidence increases, for without it he will never find the Origin.

–During the last year, Vaihrn did in fact manage to meet up with Devin, before they again parted ways once he had preformed various tweaks on the balancing algorithms of her sigils. They left one another ways to get in contact, but with the instability spreading throughout the area surrounding Loom, not to mention the newly forming cities they were unable to reconnect. In fact, they've been trying to locate one another since their parting soon after the fall of Loom.

As such he has been surviving, figuring out ways to enter and exit different cities, not to mention bettering his gear and skills. While he has been unable to truly alter his self deprecating attitude and destructive behaviors, he has managed to pull them in somewhat and create a sort of tough facade. It is likely that had he not done this, he would not still be alive today.

He has managed to set up small bases in Omnity's cities, these act as bases of operation so that he is able to operate from wherever he travels. He has essentially stopped working with others with the exception of making contracts. He does not do escorts, but will eliminate threats from an area or the like. This is due to the large amount of betrayals he has had to deal with in the last few months, making him more cautious and less trusting in general.

He has begun to identify his own mental issues as a form of intense social anxiety.--

Abilities and Gear

Equipment:

Normal Garb: Vaihrn's normal clothes have been modified from their original design, as he has enchanted them with a variety of traits that the fabric would not typically have. Traits from iron and steel have been drawn out, as well as carbon, which he then had to replicate over a good deal of time and form a sort of carbon mesh with. The fabric has gained a layer or two, allowing Vaihrn's hoodie to do some truly incredible things. It is, in fact, one of the most heavily enchanted objects on his person. Like his grandfather's garb, which he still carries with him, these clothes allow him to handle considerably more heat, as well as insulating him when necessary to defend from cold, though it can only do one at a time. The surface texture of the fabric alters depending on the situation. If he is met with brute force it becomes rigid and sturdy, absorbing some of the force of the blow, but not all of it.

Unlike his grandfather's garb, Vaihrn's will alter its fabric into a sort of carbon-metal mesh to stop piercing attacks from hitting him on the first few tries. Its weakness is if you focus on the same general area with multiple attacks, weakening the material with each successive attack. Out of battle the material will draw on essence (a mixture of external essence and his own) to rebuild its structure and fuel its functions. This normal garb is composed of a [url=]hoodie[/url], a belt, and a two other identical silver belts that are wrapped around his arms in combat, but stored as liquid silver in his sleeves when out of combat.

Waist Belt: This belt, composed of silver, both holds Vaihrn's Silver Vials and functions as a Sigil storage. This belt can store a total of 12 sigils, which are typically not altered as they store several sigils that Vaihrn often utilizes.

Arm Belts: These belts which are typically liquified in compartments in his sleeves, or flowing through pores in his clothing that are conductive of his essence, which these are infused with. These belts have three general purposes which are as follows:

1.)They can be utilized in their belt form to store three sigils each, allowing him a total of 18 sigils to utilize in combat.
2.)They can be utilized as free flowing silver for more or less the same purpose as the silver in his silver vials.
3.)Their free flowing manifestation can be channeled through the pores of his garb, allowing him to focus it for defense as well as for counters.

Silver Vials: He carries several vials with condensed liquid silver in them. This silver is enchanted to remain in a liquid state until commanded otherwise by the specific essence signature of its user. There are enough vials to hold the silver necessary to form several swords. This silver is also enchanted with a burning effect, causing it to burn things it comes into contact with if the user wills such. These vials are held by the Waist belt. This silver is imbued with his essence.

Gloves: Thes leather gloves have been altered to be less retrictive to dexterity as well as to act as an attractor of surrounding essence once the user's essence has been conducted through them. They are heat resistant and extremely durable, even more so then the hoodie. Unlike the hoodie they cannot absorb the force of blows, but they cannot be cut in order to compensate for that fact.

Note: His garb does not include any particular pair of pants. Instead he tends to save an enchantment for the set he wears that day. Additionally, his undershirt and other clothing is not effected/enchanted so simply removing the belt(s) and hoodie would be a viable way to reduce his defenses.

[Grandfather's Garb]: Enchanted in such a way that it protects the user from all, but the hottest of flames (white hot) as well as being capable of absorbing damage from physical strikes. While it cannot be punctured, the wearer can still be stabbed as the cloth will simply be pushed back and into the wound. In addition to this, Vaihrn has added several seals on its form that allows the user to channel their energies in such a way as to allow him to summon any of his weapons back to his hands (via the gloves).

Vita tonsis(Life culls)[Heirloom Daggers]: Two daggers pried from the dying body of the demon that killed his grandfather, these are enchanted so as to stop regeneration on the point of cutting. This effect can be nullified by external healing magic, but cannot typically be bypassed by natural regeneration. The daggers hum when Warden or above level demons are within a three block radius.

Physical and Mental Capabilities

Speed and Agility: While not inhumanly fast, Vaihrn has a considerable amount of speed, comparable to the average track runner. However, he is not able to run at top speed for very long. He is capable of running at around 3/4ths of his top speed for a good amount of time, allowing him to maintain a fair amount of speed in combat situations. Additionally, he is rather agile, having learned how to easily traverse most environments from his mother. This allows him to move about the city, or otherwise landscape, very fluidly. It is one of the few skills that he can say he is at least okay at, which for him is saying something since he typically does not admit such things.

Tactical Intelligence and Memory Recall: Vaihrn's memory is exceptionally good and this is primarily because he has practiced at it since the death of his lamented grandfather, Dorin. This allows him to easily recall the various sigils and the smaller symbols and glyphs within them. In addition to this skill, Vaihrn was lucky enough to have inherited his father's tactical prowess, though it has also come from his observation in early childhood. Thus Vaihrn is actually adept at analyzing situations and coming up with logical plans based on either his own skills or the skills of him and his allies.

Dexterity and Multitasking: Vaihrn is very good with his hands, and the smaller appendages attached to them, allowing him to very easily put things together as well as draw the sigils related to his craft. Additionally, he is very capable in the area of multitasking, allowing him to not only be capable of paying attention to his surroundings, but be able to preform multiple actions simultaneously without getting confused easily.

Demonic Lore Master: Growing up, Vaihrn was exposed to many stories about his family's various hunting exploits as well as various lessons in order to prepare him for real life hunts. Thus he has become something of an expert on demonic anatomy, lore, and generally whatever knowledge is needed to make their essences cease.

Scientific Knowledge: Vaihrn has begun to notice the correlation of the periodic table of elements with the traits he can imbue into different objects and so he has studied up on them somewhat. As such he retains a good deal of knowledge regarding the various elements, allowing him to better enchant objects or create various effects. He has not figured out all of the different patterns that essence creates or follows to create these elements, so he cannot yet use all of them to make things, but he is decent with a few.

Magical Skills:

The Art of Athriohm: An ancient magic of unknown origin, Athriohm has to deal with the manipulation of various magical energies, both from the user and various materials and the like. Most practitioners of the art are able to pull various energies out of even inanimate objects, as each thing that exists holds its own power, effect, or inherent traits. One might call this essence, but perhaps not. Regardless, the art is capable of then imbuing the essence(s) it has drawn out into other objects freely by weaving the two (or more) energies together into a cohesive whole. Depending on the complexity of the energies and the skill of the user, more complex effects and modifications can be made. This modification is referred to as enchanting, though in truth it is called 'imbuing' or 'weaving'. The other aspect of the art is the ability to create, weave, and place what are referred to as 'seals' by most, but are actually called 'sigils'. Seals are different from imbuing due to the fact that imbuing takes preexisting attributes and reallocates them into new entities, while sigils will take preexisting essence, or the essence of the user, and modify it in such a way as to suit their purposes.

Thus, the Art of Athriohm is essentially the fine tuned control of essence and how it interacts with various objects, surfaces, and magical symbols. It is the control of essence (or magical energy, whichever fits the correct definition) in order to create or destroy. One could even call it the root of human magic, but no one truly knows, for no one has been able to ascertain just how old the art truly is. It should be noted that the majority of Anriohm, or recalculators, are on a constant search for what is simply referred to as 'The Origin'. Each of them wishes to discover where their art originated from, who created it, why it works.

--Vaihrn's skill level in the Art focuses in the creation of enchantments, meaning he uses sigils less than he utilizes weaving, making him more dangerous in combat as it allows him to use weaving to create sigils and augment items more or less on the fly. This does however, a considerably greater toll on him overall.--

Environmental Awareness and Magical Attunement: Through the use of establishing a sort of sensory aura around himself, Vaihrn is able to sense things in his immediate surroundings and create a sort of mental map of the surrounding area. If he is mobile, this area is considerably smaller, spanning a maximum of half the average city block radius, with its maximum size being half a mile when motionless and focusing with the entirety of his attention, which is rather difficult. Additionally, Vaihrn is capable of easily sensing magical activity and the presence of other beings, not to mention what race they are.

Essence Vision: A unique skill that not all practitioners develop, Vaihrn can actually see the flow of essence in its myriad forms in his surroundings. This cannot be entirely shut off and when suppressed it acts as his magical attunement, though that does not lessen when he stops suppressing this sight. More or less, this allows him to see essence that would normally be invisible, thus allowing him t track people via their essence, as well as identify various types of magic and their functions. This ability is in part what allows his skill in weaving to be so developed despite his age.

Silver Manipulation: By enchanting the silver that he carries, Vaihrn has attuned it to his essence signature, allowing him to control it as if it were an extension of his body. He can solidify and liquefy it more or less at will. This skill is very similar to the magic that his family typically teaches a supplementary skill to their physical prowess. He is primarily skilled in the defensive use of this, but can attack if necessary. He is still learning to use this effectively, though he likes to use it as a conduit for The Art.

Relations: Her 'mother' and mentor Lasarian The Brilliant; her 'elder brother' Kaeden The Destroyer; and acquaintance Caeldrin The Aurist.

General Activity: Saella spends most of her days looking for ways to help others, unite the angels once more, and work on figuring out how to pass her memory block so as to properly recall the remainder of her past lives. She is currently in Loom for various reasons, partly because it was the last place a certain, Solus Grim, was seen. Additionally she seems able to help the most people in this violence ridden ruin.

Personality: While before she was naïve, she has become realistic, at least for the most part. Her innocence, for the most part, has been dispelled and she now bears the demeanor of a toughened sort. She's beheld many things, some good and some bad. Her conclusion is that knowledge is necessary, caution is key, and loyalty is to be divvied only when necessary. She understands, now, that some sacrifices can, and must, be made for the greater good. Yet she retains some of her idealistic views, wishing for a peaceful world, a harmonious coexistence between the three races...and the three realms.

Through her regressions she has learned a lot and her intelligence and mental fortitude has risen greatly. Despite this she can be shy at times, but this only emerges when in the company of those whom she cares for, or when taken off guard by particularly...indecent, actions. She still believes in the equality between the races, believing that the current state of the world is naught, but everything becoming worse before it gets better. While she wishes for coexistence, she has no illusions as to the immensity and difficulty of such a thing, knowing that it is nothing if not implausible. Yet, like anyone with a copious sense of justice and even a smidgen of idealism, she strives for such a result despite herself, wishing to bring everyone into a place that all can enjoy, rather than just a select few, even if it is flawed.

Her fear and reservations regarding murder have been vanquished, but that does not mean she enjoys it. In fact, she has tailored her combat style to incapacitate rather than kill, so as to preserve as much life as she can, unless absolutely necessary. Still, despite the many months that have past and the changes that they have wrought on her personality, she has retained her dislike for the spotlight.

Despite the cruelness of the world, Saella's temperance allows her to restrain herself even when dealing with particularly difficult individuals. However, what has changed is that she will no longer put up with those who are truly devout in their wish to stand in her way. For while she will strive to peacefully create solutions and pass through obstacles with diplomacy and tact, she has little patience for those who would get in her way despite her kind and empathic treatment –not to mention her consideration of their circumstances, should she know them. Beyond this there is only her intense dislike, and sometimes hatred, for those who have no appreciation for life, this includes those who make it their mandate to disservice others –this of course includes those who would meaninglessly slaughter others, either for their own amusement, or some other insufficient purpose. Aside from the aforementioned circumstances her temper is seldom riled, though once it is it can be frightening.

Beyond these things, her emotions tend to stay in a more positive spectrum, though her heart has hardened considerably in the last year, giving her a bit more of a confident and tough outer shell.

She is very kind and very brave; able to walk into the fray of a harsh and brutal battle even when afraid for her life or the lives of others. She is a defender of the weak and unable as well as a positive example to humans of what they once thought angels were: Powerful and divine guardians of the heavens and the human race. In this way, she is exceptional, but like all people she still has her flaws.

Biography: Coming into existence was a frightening thing for Saella, but soon after she came to know the woman who would be her mother, but not her mentor. Lasarian, having been a powerful battle angel in her day was the one chosen to raise the young angel who would become the girl that is known today. So as Saella grew and learned from the beautiful, though aged, Lasarian, the girl eventually came to know something about herself...the gods had chosen wrong. The older and more conscious of herself she became, the more she learned, the more she came to understand that the world she lived in was not the world in which she wanted to be.

She didn't belong. At least, not among her kin. They were all so...hateful, so arrogant...so cold towards the other races. She understood why they acted that way towards demons, but to the humans? It just didn't make sense to her.

When it came time for her to learn her specialty as an angel, Saella resisted, and resisted strongly. She was to become a tamer, but that violated her own beliefs. She didn't want to subjugate demons and then force them to kill their own kind, and she really didn't want to twist their minds to her will. When her mother found that she had been refusing to practice her inborn skills, she first questioned the girl as to why. However, when she found out, she almost froze as if trapped in obsidian.

Lasarian thought things over for a time, but soon recovered from the shock of her kind, if rather subservient and quiet, child's reasoning and unbending stubbornness. Lasarian found her daughter's response to be unsatisfactory and in response, Lasarian took Saella on a mission, a mission to show the damage a single surface demon could do to a community. Watching, tears came to the eyes of the younger angel, her white wings bristling with anger and so she abruptly stole her mother's weapon and charged down to protect the humans, despite her skills being far from those of a battle angel's.

Yet, when she got close enough that the demon turned to attack her, she faltered, thoughts flying through her head.

It's a living thing just like you; All it wants is essence, it is feeding...like any creature must; It feels pain just like me, I can't...I-....

Frozen in mid-flight, Saella was saved only by her mother who promptly tore the demon in two and tossed its wrangled corpse aside only to turn and cradle Saella in her arms. Rather than berate her, Lasarian surmised only that the girl had been afraid of the demon, not that she had literally been unable to kill it.

Saella never told her mother the truth, she couldn't...it would hurt the beautiful angel too much. So, instead, she opted to learn the subtle nuances of demon taming, despite her former resistance, thinking that at least this way she wouldn't have to kill anything herself. It was at this time that she met the angel who she'd eventually come to call 'brother'.

On only her second mission into the field, Saella was to capture her second demon, taming it and bringing it under her control. However, when she arrived she found herself promptly overpowered by the beast. Luckily, there was a clear sky that night and so Saella was saved by the grace of Kaeden the battle angel, an angel who had earned the title 'Destroyer' for the wrath and damage that his blades and body wrought on his enemies. He also rather enjoys watching over the city from the clouds in case someone might need his help. After all he always rather enjoyed the expressions of those who saw his magnificence hurtling down from the heavens.

So, upon finding the startled Saella, Kaeden found himself endeared to her by her silly rambling and nonsensical nature. So, rather quickly, the two became friends and so Kaeden came to cause less of his storms (of wrath, blade, and body) just a bit less.

Saella took to watching the city from the clouds as well and so the two became quite close and are still as such to this day. In fact, Kaeden is the reason that Saella was finally able to gain control of her favorite demon, a creature known as 'Kenen'. As without his battle prowess, Saella would have never been able to conquer the creature. So she does feel rather indebted to Kaeden, though he hasn't decided to make her pay this debt...or the one for saving her life.

Since then. Saella has managed to increase her skill in taming, finally proving herself on the field by being skilled enough to both avoid the attacks of demons at close range and subjugate them to her will at the same time. She has been acclaimed for being some kind of genius in the field of taming, but she will adamantly deny such, not to mention blush rather brightly. Beyond this, she has earned a single title, mostly due to her complete refusal to kill anything, be it to save herself, or another no matter the race.

The angel community is rather confused as to how to handle her....

--During Season 1 Saella was mostly on patrol and interacting with Kenen Vax. However, there was an interaction with the Lordess of the Southern Realm in which Kenen vax lost his warden status and subsequently went berserk. Saella was forced to protect his unconscious body from the destruction that ran rampant in Loom during the events only a few months prior to the fall of Hell's gate. Since then she has begun the process of bettering herself, starting by bringing Kenen back to the peak of health.

Not entirely forgiving her, Saella took to blaming herself for his situation and has felt somewhat guilty ever since. Regardless, Kenen has gradually forgiven her and assisted in her newest venture: Recovering her past lives. After he, and several of her other captured demons who she managed to forcibly tame and reprogram mentally, assisted in keeping her mind stable while she rapidly went through a tremendous amount of her past lives.

However, while she has managed, by the end of the year, to get 3/4ths through her regression, she has had to take multiple breaks to reground herself in reality and not lose a hold of her individuality –not to mention stability. Partly due to her regressions and partly due to her having become fed up with feeling helpless in combat, Saella has taken up the art of the sword and since the destruction of Loom has been training her little heart out.

She, at one point, was drawn to the destroyed council building in the center of Loom, and while it was difficult to get to, she managed to enter its sub-floors by moving some of the rubble. Once in she was drawn towards a particular blade, which she now wields. She is unsure why she feels a connection to the blade, but none of her past lives so far reveal the information, so she just keeps delving when possible to find out.

Due to the amount of regressions she has gone through, Saella has developed two pairs of additional wings and several traits not typical of tamer angels. She is somewhat confused by this, but accepts them nonetheless. Mostly caused by the hardship of survival and living during these hard times, Saella's outlook on life has gone from naive to a strange mixture of idealism and realism. She is very aware of the cruelness of the world now and has lost many of her reservations, replacing them instead with a more realistic, but nonetheless hopeful, worldview.

While she has tried several times in the last few months, Saella has been unable, thus far, to regress any further as she seems to have met some kind of artificial, but alive, mental block in her psyche. In addition to this, she will sometimes pass out as her psyche destabilizes too far for her demonic stabilizers are able to handle. Sometimes she blacks out or suffers extreme mental episodes where she has memory lapses or collapses into a heap of sobs and moans. Similarly she can suddenly feel unexplained exultation and happiness. These, she figures, are symptoms of rapid regression, but they seem perfectly natural and are in fact fading rapidly.

Since the completion of her regressions, so far, she has found a new goal in life: Coexistence and leadership. First, however, she must unite with the remainders of her past psyche, after which she can more actively pursue her goal to reunite and change angelic society as a whole. This time, she intends to make an impact...and a damned big one too.--

Note: Saella has taken on part of Lasarian's name to show the bond held between the two.

Abilities and Gear

Equipment:

Collapsible Shield: Saella carries this shield, which is typically collapsed into a rod formation. This shield was made for her by a human friend of her's and can extend out from its rod formation to the round buckler in order for her to utilize it for defense. She has become rather skilled with it since she began using it years prior. More recently she has begun to couple it, at times, with a sword.

Ancestral Blade: A blade she managed to retrieve from the smoldering remains of the Council building in Loom when things had died down somewhat, this Ancestral blade was stored in the vault of the building had, somehow, drew her to it as if it was hers to begin with. Unaware of its true nature, Saella has since toted it around, or had Kenen do so in her stead, and has, in the last year, trained extensively in order to begin utilizing it in combat. The blade's properties are mysterious, but it appears to amplify and channel angelic essence in order to burn and further damage demonic essence, any of its other capabilities are unknown at current time beyond its miraculous durability and lightness. The blade does appear to have some kind of enchantment, though Kenen has stated that the blade is much more difficult for him to carry, while it is almost as light as a feather in Saella's hands. The blade's scabbard contains its essence and partially contains its abilities however, even when the blade is sheathed it will glow and hum when it senses harmful, or killing, intent.

The Crystal Prison: Additionally, there is the crystal necklace given to her by her 'mother' and tutor, Lasarian. This necklace is capable of sealing demons within it once they have been subjugated. This necklace is known as 'The Crystal Prison' and can be viewed in the 'appearance hider'. This necklace is thought to have been created by a joint effort of the three races in order to seal a demon that was a threat to all three. The seals on its surface do not indicate exactly where the things sealed within are sealed, but it can be seen that they are ancient and were crafted by human hands. Hands that were likely guided by an angel clairvoyant, who gave some of her tears to fuel its power. A demon of unknown name at the time, likely one from the Western kingdom (oddly) sacrificed itself with the crystal over the ritual altar, allowing the entirety of its being to be used to eternally power the crystal prison, why a demon would do something so selfless has been lost to time. The necklace has been passed down between Saella's soul 'lineage' since her creation. It is likely that only the archangels and the most ancient of demons know exactly what it is...or what the unnamed beast referred to only as Unlight was. It is presumed that the Crystal Prison seals its inhabitants in an elaborate location that has since been hidden and erased from the minds of all, but one archangel and one ancient greater Hellion. Additionally, if Saella were to delve deep into the memories of her past lives, she would eventually (after a very long time) be capable of accessing the knowledge regarding the necklace, but for now she knows very little and maybe that is for the best.

Armor: Depicted in her appearance picture, Saella has managed to ger her armor enchanted so it does not inhibit her movement, makes less sounds than it normally would, and is less heavy than it should be. Beyond this the armor is normal in all respects.

Personal Capabilities:

Taming Power: Where her abilities were considerable before, now they are downright impressive even with her mental instability at times. Saella, at this point, is capable of open empathic and telepathic communication with nigh anyone whose mind she can contact, and whose mental defenses she can circumvent. She is capable of incapacitating the average surface demon, and mentally crippling the average hellion with her mental influence. Warden class demons no longer overwhelm her and demonic lords, while not manageable, can be dealt with on low levels.

At this point she has reached a level that she can access people's subconscious mind, allowing her to predict their actions before they are entirely aware of them. This ability is not perfect and increases in difficulty with the power of the individual, not to mention how guarded they are mentally. At this point Saella can also create psychic fields, which are detailed below. As with before she can accurately gauge the power, and even skill level, of most individuals regardless of race...unless their essence is mixed which can briefly, or permanently, confuse her. Additionally, chimeras and beings of mixed racial essence are much more difficult for her to read, predict, or deal with in general.

Physical Ability: While originally Saella was like all other tamers, aka not physically powerful, she has since developed a decent amount of strength and durability, allowing her to take more damage and dish more out. However, in particular her flight skills have increased significantly, as well as her ability to maneuver while still on the ground. This allows her to not be too weakened when she is forced to fight without her wings. Beyond this she has managed to use her taming abilities to amplify her mental perception, allowing her to increase and control the input/output of her senses. She can block out her own pain, infuse herself with pleasure, and a few other useful tricks. Lately, she has come to think that some of her abilities are borderline, as in they seem to be very similar to other angelic classes....

Swordsmanship: While she is no pro, Saella has managed to become a decent swordswoman, allowing her to deftly evade strikes, counter blows, and skillfully subdue her enemies.

Instinctual Battle Prowess: Due to her nearing her final few regressions, Saella has gained a good amount of battle knowledge and instinct, which she has managed to partially train into her muscle memory. As such she can sometimes become momentarily more deadly than normal in combat, allowing her brief bursts of exceptional effectivity, followed by a decrease in stamina and general ability till she rests.

Extensive Knowledge: Originating from her past lives, Saella has gained extensive knowledge of both humans and demons, allowing her a broader perspective in life, as well as certain situations. This knowledge can however, only take her so far.

"So you want to know about little old Vax eh? Well, it's pretty simple. I was the Warden of the southern kingdom, I decided to take ooone tiny little trip to the human world to retrieve some idiot minions of mine, and this little tart decided it'd be fun for her brute, angel friend Kaeden to thrash me around a bit until she could capture me. So yeah, here I am, you meager insect, sitting in the sealing void of her necklace, but hey, at least I'm the central gem! I mean yeah, this totally beats ruling a country with an iron fist, being able to kill and eat whenever I want, and you know all that other good demon shit. Totally...totally.

"Anyways, I bet you're wondering why I didn't just use my lofty powers to defeat Kaeden. Well, it's pretty simple, and I'll be quite blunt here, Kaeden is a badass. Yeah, a demon giving a complement to an angel, what a spectacle, but seriously...that guy fuckin' threw me around like I was some rag-doll, and I ain't no pushover y'see. Anyways, been in this damned crystal prison ever since, forced to abide by Ms. Saella's will. So I've gotten used to it, settled the fuck in, and become her friend. Yeah, that's right, she's friends with a goddamned demon, fucking deal with it. Anyways, back to mindlessly staring into MOTHERFUCKING NOTHING SPACE, leave me to my empty, lonely, boring existence now and stop asking me questions...bastard."

Appearance Details: Vax stands at eight feet tall and has an essentially humanoid appearance. However, his skin is of a false smoothness as to use his ability he must 'open' rather large pores in his flesh, allowing the essence to be pulled into his body. Additionally, he possesses a sleek tail with a deadly oval formation lined on both edges with serrated spikes, allowing him to use his tail as something of a club. His fingers and hands appear fairly human, but he can extend his slightly sharpened nails into wicked bird-like claws. Upon his back there are two discolored bone-like formations that run parallel to his spine and on either side of it, these can be drawn out and used as swords, after which his flesh will heal over the spots they were extracted from.

Abilities: Kenen vax is capable of a good amount of things, and he is certainly a rather powerful demon, but his chief ability happens to be something he calls Ruina, or ruin. This ability allows him to gather an alternate type of essence, the kind that is infused through the realms rather than to give direct life to a host. This ability allows him to cause locations to decay and go into ruin rather quickly as well as using the essence gathered in that area to fuel both his physical form and powerful destructive abilities. While Ruina can effect living things by making contact, Saella only allows Vax to use it to weaken them and tire them out, rather than allowing him to kill them by removing the full extent of their essence from their bodies. He is also capable of using gathered essence, or his own, in order to strengthen various parts of his own body. Additionally he is rather durable and rather physically powerful due to his size, which is roughly 9 feet tall. Sharvalli all possess this ability, though Kenen vax's form of it is especially powerful.

Chia'raqkis'ij
Hellion Construct

"Ghaaavhaiiiiii kisiskikik cracka vhanadsfk"(We're not sure what it's trying to say, but we think it is cursing our ugly existence...rather ironic I think).

One of the FleshShaper's lesser creations, Chia'raq'kis'ij is a demon whom must beings have given up trying to call by its name, thus it is instead called 'Bladebug'...for obvious reasons.

Appearance Details: Yeah, it's repulsive. Only thing you really need to know is that it is roughly seven feet tall even when it is hunched over, so when it stands up fully it reaches roughly nine feet in height. Oh yeah and it's blind as a bat...meaning it sees through vibrations...aka its hearing is super acute. So is its sense of smell, allowing it to track down people by their essence signature alone as long as it has smelled it once before.

Abilities: Immensely fast and ridiculously hard to kill, Bladebug is capable of regenerating as long as even a single shred of his body remains intact. Along with this, it is fast, agile, and possesses a mouth and arms that can shred or cut through most materials. Even low grade swords and a good deal of firearms are easily cut into ribbons by this things blades, their master's soon consumed afterwords. This creature has no real power, unless being so repulsive that it sends most into shock initially is a power....

Nessaeris
Rahpturi - Hellion

"You better stop staring, I don't like human eyes, they make me want to rip them out."

Appearance Details: Possessing the lanky but lean build of most of his kind, Nessaeris stands at 7'3, towering over almost all humans. The wings seen on his back can very easily fold around his arms, where they will become an armor of carbon fiber till unfurled for flight. It should be noted that Rahpturi Hellions are almost half as heavy as they appear.

Abilities: Like most Rahpturi, Nessaeris, or Nessy, as Saella calls him, has the ability to exude a liquid form of carbon which he can then manipulate into various forms. This allows him to shield himself from blows with a powerful armor, or to create weapons out of solidified carbon. In addition to this, Rahpturi are exceptionally quick on their feet, as they are lighter than they look despite their general size. As a Rahpturi, Nessy has one other ability and that is a small degree of deep level mind control. This allows them to control the stability of the subconscious to disrupt or stabilize individuals on a deep level to cause general dissaray in their psyche. His abilities can be easily blocked for the most part so they generally only work if the person is very weakened, willing, or if it happens to be a sneak attack.

Dseszel
Ascended Vampire - Surface Demon

"Must I explain my position? It really is nothing special. I was a well developed surface demon, a vampire, until I devoured several angels and a demon or two. Of course it just haaad to be a problem, so I was targeted, but they all fell. Eventually I was able to grow these wings, their essence fueling my evolution till I became the magnificence you see before you! I am Dseszel, the ascended one! Bow before me lest I lay waste to your senses and the sad excuse you call a physical body."

Abilities: Dseszel is inhumanely fast, capable of moving and flying at speeds beyond the scope of the human eye. So far only skilled battle angels, and a very lucky Saella, have been able to hinder him in any way. Of course, now he is under her control. Beyond this, he is capable of conjuring massive blasts of wind with his wings and creating subtle illusions through eye contact, which allow him to make himself even more difficult to follow. These abilities, while semi-typical for ascended vampires, do not necessarily apply to all of them --though there are few due to the angel's careful watch over the surface demon population.

'The Excluded'
Demonic Construct

“Rroooaaaarghhhrrrrglurrgh”

Abilities: The Excluded is capable of creating semi-elaborate illusions that can confuse or generally disorient its foes.

Other Data: A construct created by the FleshShaper during the war, this beast was accidentally released from its cage and onto Surface a few years back. It appeared to be composed of the parts of a variety of demons who used illusion or pain inducing magic, along with obvious signs of possessing the abilities of a Sharvalli Hellion(see Kenen Vax).

Vortrud Kemex'kal 'Bane of Prosperity'
Nightwalker - Hellion

“Oh come now, having your essence drained isn't that bad, it's just terribly agonizing. It's not a bad thing though, you die eventually anyways. Might as well get it out of the way asap, right?”

Abilities: Like any nightwalker, Vortrud is capable of manipulating, assimilating, and traveling through shadows. His power increases as the illumination decreases in an area, making him strongest in dark areas or at night. Vortrud has developed his Origin State, but Saella has been unable to force him into showing her as of yet as it is deeply ingrained in the hellion and he is still able to resist her influence somewhat. Like all nightwalkers, Vortrud has a particular affinity for essence manipulation, be it his own or that of other beings.

Other Data: During the early days after the war, Vortrud took part in the demonic campaign in which demons impeded the angels from setting up base on Surface as best as they could. He was the Warden, a general of sorts, who led these guerrilla strikes against angel kind. He is a former Warden of the Western region of hell, serving under the lord of the time, which may or may not have been Szayeis. Vortrud is a member of the Nightwalker species.

Captured Demons: These are demons which Saella has captured and sealed into her crystal necklace, but not tamed thoroughly enough for use. She keeps them sealed most of them time, choosing not to use them and not to release or kill them due partially to her principles and partially because they are too dangerous to release.

D'hrash 'The Blood Hungry'
A demon originating from the Western reaches of hell in the domain of the Chimeric lord. Formerly of the Warden class. A member of the Faelsar species. Was alive during the war where he killed over two hundred angels before being sealed into the crystal prison.

Loh'eik 'The Severed'
A demon exiled from hell, Loh'eik gained his name from the fact that he possessed no limbs excluding his two tails yet still managed to always sever the heads of angels, devouring them soon after. His race is unknown due to his body being too disfigured to identify him.

Unknown race or former position and affiliation.

Unlight
This being was sealed into the prison by Lasarian, it is unknown as to who it is or was. Lasarian has sealed it in such a way that nothing can touch its mind without specific keys and the like. Saella is afraid of it and she calls the demon 'Unlight', despite this not being its alias or name. She has figured out most of the keys needed to access Unlight's consciousness while keeping it sealed. However, she is afraid to wake it up...as its power sends her into a cold sweat.

Social Status - Former Warden: While it does not award him any particular note in demonic society other than an implication of power, this status indicates to the other two races that he is not only a powerful demon, but that is perhaps also influential in some ways as well.

General Activity: Kenen is under Saella's hold, for the most part, and as such he spends his time at her side helping her. Currently in Loom with Saella.

Personality: I really can't get a handle of the words to be honest, so I won't.

Biography: Before he was captured by Saella, Kenen Vax went through his evolutions and hunting events in the Southern kingdom of hell, working to become noticed by the lord of that time, aka Daiyrisa's mother.

In short he succeeded, being named one of the Warden's of the south and gaining favor from the lordess. However, her reign soon past and Daiyrisa came to rule. Initially, Kenen was not sure how he felt about this green ruler, but over time he developed a very close, and loyal, bond to her. This bond persists to this day and despite his capture by the hands of Saella and his subsequent friendship with the angel, he remains loyal to the lordess...at least in part.

Over the past year his has helped train and keep sane the angel whose sway his is under, even if she does not influence his mind as she says she does. Regardless, he has formed a bond with Saella, one he didn't think possible between angels and demons, not that he had reacted with angels much prior to her. Yet, there remains a grudge in his heart aimed at Saella for she tore him away from his lordess...forcing the demoness to remove his bond to her realm.

As such he strives to create some kind of balance between his two opposing loyalties and to assist Saella in the completion of her goal, as if she is truly successful, there will be no need for him to chose....

Capabilities

Demonic Abilities:

Ruina(Ruin): This ability is characteristic of Sharvalli hellions and allows Kenen to gather the essence of inanimate objects in large amounts from the surrounding area. Because this essence is being ripped out of objects it more or less tears apart the surrounding environment, destroying things, hence its name. The energy obtained from this process can then be used to fuel him or his various other attacks.

Demonic Influence: Sharvalli hellions can create a strange kind of surface demon when they feed on humans and do not kill them. These demons are very bat-like, but can also be seen as rather draconic, as they will gradually form scales, grow wings, and sharpened teeth, not to mention nails, to hunt. Eventually their nails will transition into talons, their eyes will become pupil-less, allowing them to literally see vibrations, though they become completely colorblind, to perceive their environment. Appearances differ slightly as some even develop tails, while others will form spikes on portions of their body. The transformation can take anywhere from two weeks to six months and is not only strenuous on the body, but on the mind due to the intense pain of one's essence warping the body to fit its new nature. As such, many of them go insane from the process, these insane crazed surface demons are basically insatiable beasts driven by instinct; they are referred to as Madbats. The other form of surface demon caused by a Sharvalli's demonic influence are anywhere between barely sane, and completely cognant and capable of rational thought, though there is always a fight for control with their instincts. These are referred to as Drakes.

Sharvallian Physique: Like the rest of his kind, Kenen is very durable due to his body's natural armor, not to mention the field of essence that covers his flesh, shielding him from a small amount of damage. Additionally, Sharvalli have a considerable amount of physical strength and speed, though speed is certainly their greater physical attribute, allowing them to run at around twenty to thirty miles per hour, though it can take them a good amount of time to get to that speed. Still, their flight speed is much faster, allowing them to hit between 40 and 50 mph, while their divebomb allows them to temporarily accelerate to around 65 mph. Their physical strength is, in comparison to other demons, not that impressive, and allows them to lift about 1,500 pounds if absolutely necessary. Their strength is more commonly used to allow them to participate and compete in normal hand to hand combat, as well as climb surfaces with their retractable talons. Their talons are sharp enough to cut through weak metals and thick wood, not to mention drywall and the like.

Vibration sense: Due to the fact that Sharvalli hellions have no eyes, they have instead developed the ability to define forms by way of vibrations which are released in their surroundings and from the small shield of essence on the surface of their flesh. This ability is more or less an extremely advanced version of echolocation. While it can be referred to as echolocation, as previously mentioned, it is considerably more advanced, allowing some Sharvalli, such as Kenen, to actually feel textures and weights by how long it takes for a vibration to pass through an object.

Magical Abilities:
Kenen Vax's magical abilities are based around his demonic ability, Ruina, so he is more or less able to shape the essence he obtains and use it for destructive purposes. He has recently learned how to heal with it as well as how to allow the essence to regain some of the properties that it was giving to the physical objects that it was ripped out of.

Skills and Learned Abilities:

Combat Skill: Due to his position and level of evolution, Kenen has a decent amount of combat experience and while he was bested by a single battle angel and tamer combination, he was taken by surprise and had not intended to fight till near the end where he was sealed into the crystal prison.

Demonic Knowledge: Since he lived out entire life in the southern realm up until he was captured, Kenen has a considerable amount of knowledge regarding his realm of origin. Whether he will share it or not is another question entirely.
