Harsh? That isn't harsh. It is Justice. Justice isn't a daycare sitter. That girl is correct on her statement of you and your sibling not being fit to judge. You rely on your emotions too much and your view of right and wrong is too naive. Too much mercy is just as bad as too much cruelty. You must try your best to be in the middle as possible.

At least a year for the smallest of crimes. More and more years are added on degree of the level of crime. Murder, for life. Assault, three to five years.

Theft is the main ones. Murder is either the death sentence or imprisonment for life. Depending on the degree of murder. Rape and other crimes like that, immediate death. Petty crimes. My view on crimes aren't that high of level as you may think.
