You can use a hyphen, but an EM Dash (— or two hyphens --) indicate that something was cut off. This is getting into higher levels of grammar, so either don't worry about it or use two hyphens, --. It's no big deal, really, and we can figure out what you're doing based on context.
Btw, my parents may now want me to live on campus. Which isn't totally bad, but still. We can still meet either way.
